There’s a Eternity/The Dreamer ranger on my server. Ruins of Surmia (Eu)
Did a level 6 run today and got two thieves… 78 and 36. Pretty much carried them throughout the whole run with the two other guys (necro and engi, lol). The 78 was nice, but the 36 logged out at Jade Maw and didn’t come back… so out he went.
Oh, and it was swamp → Ascalon → dredge → Jade Maw.

This seems like a good place to ask a question for you dungeony DPS experts. I don’t play my Engineer all the time but I do use him occassionally. 30/30/0/0/10 Bomb/Grenades etc. my last skill I can never decide on, between Thumper Turret for 3 blast finishers, or Elixir B, or something else. Was wondering if it was worth it damage wise to have Flamethrower on the bar just to use Flameblast
The last slot is my personal “Tailor-for-the-moment” slot, which I toss in a specific skill depending on the situation. It’s important to NOT lock yourself down in a mindset that you should never change Utility slots:
A few other skills, like Elixir R, Elixir Gun, Tool Kit, Elixir B or Elixir C have mostly situational uses. The above listed are more useful in general.

In other news, there’s some bruhaha about playing with traits starting at 30 instead of 11. That does kind of make me a lil sad.
Great news for dungeoneers! Commonly run builds are getting deeper in what they “excell” at with the incoming traits! <3.
Longbow velocity trait for rangers, 3k HP buff for guardians and Healing Power buff for Elementalists! No excuses for not going full range/best tank/most wanted healer – the traits are here for that!
Good thing, Warrior’s +10% atk speed on Axe/Mace.

I appreciate the anser Swede. I forgot to mention Mine Field. It really is underestimated and is really good against walled foes. I just don’t like using the actual skill cuz the knockback can mess things up but great for prebattle might stacking

New players will unlock traits by the time they hit upon AC. As said in the blogpost, one trait will get unlocked in AC Story, it fits well the desired “progression”. Don’t underestimate casual’s desire for roleplay >:3. I hope more traits will be tied to dungeons and therefore promote low-mid level runs, leaving less room for frustrated kids complaing about Dungeon segregation.

It’ll be tougher, but hunting them is another activity to do, so that might keep them more interested in the game at low levels. The new system seems less confusing as well, and less prone to 14/14/14/14/14 type mistakes.

Well, they will still need to get their adept traits and they not neccessary had any idea what they need (tbh it’s true for the current implementation). I’m just fear they will get more alienated from the rest of the players.

well with trait refund in the middle of dungeons class will be able to switch type between battle at will the same as in GW1 towns. Makes having multiple armor set in inventory actualy usefull. Ill likely still be running MM but at least i will be able to switch on dumb boss like alpha who just outright insults my zoo builds.

@Spoj, It’s not even all bears that were there, just a second before there was a big knockback.
@Lind, I was solo’ing the Fire Shaman event (all phases) and one person was resetting it over and over again by walking through the fire fields. He didn’t even attack once outside of the reflection phase (and he was using longbow) and scaled the event up. After I wrote that, he just went afk, yet scaling the event up. Took me about 40 minutes to complete the chain, as I still had two wipes when I tried melee’ing. That bosses flurry is so OP.
@Lilith, you weren’t online a lot lately. I had lots of paths you mentioned ready to leech for you!

as for regen in death shroud i guess it will be a choice between reanimator now merged with death nova versus that new self Healing trait that makes you heal in DS. While most of you non death necro wont give a heck about it us minion masters are most interested. Still im even more curious about what they will give to the blood tree

I’ve always hated stacking then unequiping. Such a relief that I won’t have to do it anymore… and look at all the free slots I have!
