Same problem here, since yesterday I can’t play with my main toon. Stuck at Heart of the mists.

It seems to me that most people with this problem are international players. I sent a support request questioning ANET about this, but it would be best if we could at least have someone from their team replying here on the forum. At least this way we know they are doing something.

I fired up my game just a few minutes ago and I managed to log into one of my stuck chars right away.

I’m checking my other chars and will edit in a few minutes

edit: only worked once, I’m locked out again now :/

For the six gods, i hope you will be able to repair it. It stopped for like a week for me and from yesterday it’s on again.

Forum is slow and now am stuck to load lion’s arch
every time i get in my screen lost conection

Dude, don’t delete anything. It’s not like a save is corrupted, it’s just some connection issue.

I similarly have been having issues with this. I tried logging in with my two Char character, and I had been playing for a good while with no issue, then all of a sudden as I entered Timberline Falls, my guardian couldn’t connect again. Every single time was a DC with either the error code 7:11:3:191:101 or a new one that I’ve not yet seen mentioned anywhere 42:0:9001:4347:101 Which I also got on an attempted connection to the Timberline Falls.

I tried for a while to connect with him, to no avail in Timberline. Seeking to amend the problem I tried my Ranger who was in the Black Citadel. Similarly to no avail. And so I tried something mentioned earlier, guesting on a different server, still nothing has come from that either with either character.

Additionally my Asura in Rata Sum can connect, my Sylvari in The Grove is also able to connect, and my Norn in Hoelbrak is able to connect as well.

What is strangest about it though, is I do partially connect. I’ve had a friend helping me out, and he sees me temporarily coming online, and I hear the in-game sounds while the loading screen is up. And according to my friend in the UK he sees my name come as being online for short periods of time while I am trying to connect.

The major problem here being I have put a lot of effort into the two Char, and the Guardian is my first and primary character that I am using to explore and so forth.

And now the problems are even worse. My account cannot appear to log in. And it wiped the saved account info on load-up. Keeps on giving me error code 11:1001:2:1262

I try to be mild mannered about this kind of thing, but the website is lagging now as well, and this is just reaching new levels of frustration. I understand a lot is going on, but I haven’t got a lot of time available to me to figure out these issues, and they are really starting to kill my love of the game.

Edit: Okay, so the not being able to get on my account part was my own fault. Mistyped the freaking password, so ignore that part please.

2nd Time in a few days Has happened to me, already reported above

logged in at 9am eastern time, WvW. Raiding with guild, I think it was close to an hour, went to wp to FA brderlnd, loading screen took me to char. select. and got the error.
From there I tried a few times, (note I was in Dry Top) to get back into wvw, could go to ET, but would error out to char. screen when attempted to wp again. Eventually I tried to leave Dry Top by portal, got kicked completely out of the game. Could’nt even log in with this toon after that. BUT, I could log in with my ranger to wvw but again not to Fa borderland. After another hour or so of playing, on said Ranger. I tried my first toon from earlier and had no problems whatsoever going where I wanted too.

(not sure if this means anything but, when I did get booted to Char. select screen, my toons would not show up on my screen. Everything else was normal and showing except for them.)

Happened to me as well, for the first time. Can’t take my 2 characters that are in Malchor’s Leap, they got stucked there. I get DCed after this message from the game.

Hummm, I thought this issue was happening only to me, it seems its indeed some problem in Anet servers, got my main character stucked in LA, can’t load the map, one alt was in Divinity’s Reach, log in normally, tried to go to LA to see if worked for him, got trapped aswell.

I’m also experiencing this problem on the map Plains of Ashford, already contacted support only hope.

I managed to un-stuck my characters by guesting on a different server. I forgot to mention that:

I tried to Guesting too, still trapped.

Keep trying….it took me 2 tries for each character, and I tried on 2 different servers. Maybe try on a server with a lower population density, who knows?

It’s clearly on ANet’s side. Too many players from too many different regions and it only started happening after the Dragon Reach update(s).

The interesting thing is, I don’t see anyone from the United States posting – so I’m guessing it’s a international routing issue.

Yup, I’m from the SoS server too. I doubt that makes any difference what server/region/ISP anyone’s from. This error is affecting players all across the world.

It’s also important that players do not do anything drastic to their computers that they cannot fix as this is pretty much a SERVER SIDED problem that ArenaNet doesn’t have the hindsight to admit yet.

Woa! And I was about to reinstall my client thinking: “How can GW2 be giving me so much grief if I can jump into Landmark or FFXIV with no connection or ping issues at all?!”

yeah exactly as described, downloads fine for a minute or two then just tapers off until connection error.
Anyway, seeing as all other games I was considering downloaded just fine I’m not going to waste any time on this. I suggest you fix it if you want people to people to come back to your game.

Might be worth mentioning here…I got a different error code from a similar situation, albeit trying to start Foefire Cleansing LW story instance. Error code was 7:0:0:793:101

Issue mostly located to LA. Avoided it yesterday by guesting FA.

Worked today in LA, but started again during a fractal run, where I could not load third fractal zone. I also triggered the bug when trying to guest a other server (DH today), since their LA could not be loaded.

thats ok Gaile but we would like to know a time limit how long we need to wait to see this fixed been in discussions with alot of people of arena net etc but when do we aspect a fix for this 2 weeks ? never waited longer then a few days this is already taking a long time thats what i am seeing

I got stucked at Loading Screen and get disconnect after (i belive) sort of timeout. Tested across all my characters and all of them that have this bug are on Lion`s Arch.

Don`t know if this helps, but the server IP I`m trying to connect is ‘64.25.33.92’;

Lowerping fixed for me as well, I haven’t tried extensively yet, but I’m at least able to get into the map. Though it does lag more.

same thing affecting 3/4 characters 2 in lions arch one in cursed shore, I had to make a new character just to play the game

Can log in, but disconnected with same error after about 10 to 15 minutes. In about 3 hours today, was disconnected a good 10 times. Net connection is fine because my husband can play in the same room and he does not have the issues.

It started today with my first character at Diessa Plateau. So I created a new character and all was fine until I need to go to Diessa Plateau. Now I have two characters stuck on that map.

This is getting ridiculous!
My chances to successfully load into a new zone are less than 50% now.
And when it fails, it continues to fail for that character and zone (others may work) until I reconnect my internet connection so that I get a new IP address (this seems to be a workaround).

I can log into my necro but when I log into my mesmer it DC instantly and game restarts. Mesmer loading into map divinity reach

I got it to work. I tried logging my warrior which was also in divinity reach but it had the same problem after that I guested to another server with my Mesmer and travelled to lions arch then I logged out and back in with my mesmer to my home server Maguuma and it suddenly worked.

I quit the game until they get this sorted out. No game is worth this kind of misery.

I have several characters stucked in different maps. I have tried guesting. Sometimes it works sometimes it won’t.

If someone forgot to feed that poor hamster in 64.25.32.82 and he died, please buy fast new one. New patch will come next week and if we can not log in the game because of dead hamster, it would be unreasonable that we need to buy that patch with 200 gems just because of these problems.

Seriously, it feels that there is broken switch somewhere. Perhaps there are a few switches that control sessions to the same address. And because one of the switch is broken, the part of the sessions is directed hopelessly into the broken switch too. I don’t know, I might be wrong too, but I have seen this kind of error before at working life and then it was broken switch.

But if this problem continues over the new patch release, are we going to be punished because of these problems and we need to pay 200 gems from it?

Common Anet when you fix this problem, my toons stuck in loading screens on different maps ! So i cant play anymore ;-( if this goes on i’m thinking to quit GW2

Is there any kind of compensation we can get for not being able to play the game for this long? I missed pretty much this whole living story and I can’t even play all my characters, it’s a bit frustrating.

Hello, i know this sounds dumb and you all may have tried this, but i was having this issue and all i did to fix it was restart my router and bam its fixed. So for thoose who havent done this and havent thought about it. give it a whirl it worked for me.
