I have too had this error code since last update, regularly getting dc’d no matter what I do I’m directly connected to modem wired. I tried to port 80 and nothing helps this!!!!
This started yersterday evening and i have no idea why. I had this issue before and i used gw2.repair.exe and that solved the issue then, but now it doesn’t.
I keep DCing every 5 – 10 min. No lag just sudden disconnect.
Help would be greatly appreciated.
Been getting this error code for the past 2 weeks. Usually at least a few times a day. I experience a lag or a pause in the environment first before getting kicked onto the character screen.
Particularly, whenever I try to complete the ‘Forging the Pact’ chapter of my Norn’s personal story I ALWAYS end up getting this error code. Sometimes before Trahearne summons his minions, and sometimes before I need to kill Dzhudin Stormbreak. I have yet to experience this error code with other chapters on my other characters.
I ‘ve tried to complete this chapter numerous times with multiple client restarts, and it’s driving me insane!
Please help.
I nearly always get this 7:11:3:191:101 error code at the end of most story quests, usually just before the reward or after a cutscene. My internet is fine and I only get this during the story quests. Forging the Pack was partially bad to try and run and Hidden Arcana is so long that it is impossible to get to the end without disconnecting. I don’t experience any lag during the instance or outside the story quests. I’m trying to run the instance’s as fast as possible which is pretty annoying and not exactly ideal as I enjoy the lore and story and reading the quest text.
I’ve wasted several hours now trying to get through certain instances and my patience is waining, I don’t want to feel like I have wasted my money on just buying Living World Season 2.
I would really appreciate a response or some help with this issue, thanks.

So I’ve lived in the same apartment complex for going on 3 years now. They provide our internet connection (I own the router), and I’ve never had a problem with it while playing gw2. However, ~8 months ago I started getting the “Error 7:11:3:191:101” every time I attempedt to actually play the game. For example, I can load and log in to the game and reach the character select screen, but when I choose a character and attempt to load into whatever map I left it in the error code pops up. At first, I thought it was due to my new laptop, but I experience no problems with playing the game anywhere other than in my apartment. Even on the terrible campus wifi the game will run.
Is there anything I can do in order to play the game in my home? I’ve had it suggested to me that it is packet loss and that my apartment complex has started to limit the bandwidth we are able to use. However, when I confronted the office they denied that there has been any changes to the internet they provide. I am not technologically savvy at all, so I have no idea how to go about rectifying this. Any advice would be appreciated!
I have just started getting this error now, but it has been continuous for the last few days. All suggestions in this thread – though serious and relevant – has no effect. Only problem on this end is Guildwars related. I don’t even play GW2 using a wifi connection, only cabled connection. Since going from working to not working, there has been no change in setup on my rig or my software.
What worries me is that this problem seems to be ongoing and that there is no solution to the problem. I find it highly criticizable that there is NO involvement from Anet in this matter. Not a single post in this thread. They might be monitoring their servers (I have no idea about that), but obviously they’re not monitoring this forum..
I have spent a lot of money on the new expansion which isn’t even out yet, but if there’s no fix for this problem and I end up not being able to play GW2, I will be wanting a refund.
Best solution for everyone would be finding a fix for the problem of course. If gathering information about the problem would require users to install some kind of monitoring software, let me be the first to say; I’d gladly sign up!
Saying “the problem isn’t on their end, so it’s definitely on your end.” is not a valid proof and doesn’t help anyone getting any closer to a solution.
I will be looking forward to hearing from anyone offering a solution, hopefully Anet.
.. and I wonder what happened to all you guys in here who initially wrote in this thread. Did it just start working for you again or did you stop playing? I hope the former.
Really poor effort that ArenaNet have not responded in any of the forum threads about the problems going on at the moment. I have been disconnected from GW2 so many times in the last 24 hours. Reddit has people talking about the problem also Facebook, twitter GW2 last post people have mention about the problem. I’m 99% sure this is GW2 problem to sort out and has nothing to do our side. Even people streaming GW2 last night on Twitch had stop because they couldn’t play. I would be happy if it was a simple message just to say we’re looking into it from ArenaNet.

Another update.. Tried using a VPN network.. This has worked for some but for me it didn’t and i want to make another comment to keep this thread up top with the other 2 talking about the DC problems.

I’ll join the Error code 7:11:3:191:101 club. This game is a joke. I wonder if there’s been a week without connection issues.

The same problem for me starting from today.
I’ll join this club now too, I had the error code : 7:0:0:986:101 so I shut down my firewall, logged into the game and started it again, everything worked even though I had a delay of 3 seconds what was pretty annoying, after playing like 30 minutes I received the 7:11:3:191:101 error code, when im trying to load my area im just receiving it again, but it seems like there is no solution for this kind of problem :/

I went back to the Win10 Start – Settings – General : Change your privacy options – Let apps use my advertising ID for experiences across apps (turning this of will reset your ID) and switched from off to on => I no longer got any error 7:11:3:191:101.

Just to let people know, I have been in contact with Anet support staff, and they said I was having packet loss (after doing a few tests). They then gave me a possible solution by connecting directly to my router through an ethernet cable. I told them I can’t do that because my desktop is on a different floor and I cant move my router or pc. So if anyone would like to try that, it might be a potential fix, thats just was Anet told me through tech support. Hope it works for you guys!

Ok, so here’s an update from me. I played continuously for several hours yesterday and had only a few insignificant lag spikes. I didn’t change anything in my setup.. at all. So from my point of view the problem smells Anet’ish. Gonna log on again now and see how it goes. I hope you guys have success too.
Still a word or two on the matter from Anet would be nice.

Me too. Ran traceroute, packet loss after Frankfurt somewhere (I’m in South Africa).
I am stumped, appears to be a server issue we have no control over buddy, sorry dunno what’s left to do but go play Fallout while I wait for Fallout 4.

yea to bad i knew its server problem i ended up deleteing my 3 chars lvl 15 to transfer the server but i cant so i created the chars again lol ty for ur replay xD
Gosh. Twice, I spend like 20 minutes creating a character, dc’d and lost it
The last day GW2 ran stable was Sunday. Now Anet is working again, we get a new feature called “Error 7”. It helps lonely players to have a reason to search for groups so they can safely get back to a map after the disconnect-feature.
U will never be alone
And as always i have to say: All other online gaming experiences are running fine.

I don’t know if this will fix it for everyone, as I’m on Mac Beta, but I’ve found that when the 7:11:3:191:101 disconnects start happening for me, it fixes when I close the client and shut down my computer.
The DCs only happen when my character is still for more than around 60 seconds when this starts happening for me. Shutting my system down works for me, but can’t say it’ll work for everyone, but worth a shot.

first its not my internet problem they told me its my internet called my provider they told me its server (game side ) problem not the Internet
so dont tell me all this people got a bad internet i can play pvp with out (7:11:3:191:101) error but when i do story mission / cutsence i get this error
when i teleport i dont have lag i can hit kill mobs then boom kicked from the server and guess yea its not the internet i play league of legends / wow / diablo and only this one so weird

been getting this all day. sometimes its stable and i can play a little bit and stay logged in but if it crashed it takes so many tries to get back into the game.

I’m getting this as well… sent in a support ticket about it. Hopefully they’ll announce something or hotfix whatever it is soon :/ I am glad to see that I’m not the only one getting this though. Not as easy to say it’s on my end when loads of others are getting the exact same issue… and I never had this problem before.

Logging in seems to be fine now at 00:30 EST, but it was extremly bad during 20:00 EST and in the afternoon/morning with many of those error codes.
Yuppers I started a ticket end it with they told me to use Googles DNS servers really? Anyhow still happening today 16sec on skill lag and d/c yet everything else on the net responding fast. Took a long time just for the forums to load really? So anyhow they maybe right but me thinks they is having problems I anit buying the expansion will walk away until it settles down or gets better.

When i switch maps or entering instances , standing still don’t get me DC but moving freezes the game and then i DC and get the error,the game is unplayable.
i tried restarting modem and closing fire wall but nothing changed

First I got this error after logging in the game launcher.

Then I tried many time and when I finally launched the game successfully, the game is disconnect due to the same error mentioned in the title.
guys here who posted abt the problem did it get solved ? i see all of u decided to stop talking about it and now the forum went form 1st page to the forth if its fixed for you guys tell me as i still have it if not keep posting to bring this forum up
I still get the 7:11:3:191:101 error once in a while. Far less frequently than I used to, but it comes in multiples. If I get it once, I’ll get it again several times that night.
well i wld like ppl who have this problem to say it in the forums to pump it up its getting lost and forgotten as no one talks abt it

i got the same error for the first 10 days when i bought the games and the next 20 days no more errors and i started to play and today and again i got it after 20 days idk what to do i cant play like this and the support give me the same answer every time download Game Advisor

my GuildMaster helped me to solve this all thx to her
First – restart you router
Second – create a shortcut for Gw2 and rename it to Gw2 repair
third – right click on the Repair shortcut select properties
add -repair" to the Target should be like this
“F:\Guild Wars 2\Gw2.exe” -repair"
and now start the shortcut will start to repair and havefun

What I do only is sPvP.
I Que normally, vote for map normally, enter the map and countdown start
Can move around with no problems
Once the match start and I jump down..

It’s been happening now for over a week
Some days it works fine, and in some stupid days I can’t do kitten.
I used Repair/ I restarted the router altho non of it’s settings has been changed.
No antivirus or firewall enabled.
And as far as I can see, many are having this issue with the server.
can we get a response or a fix for this ?
i hope so but i hope more that whoever have this problem to keep posting so the forum doesnt get forgotten
i even used that repair method and still have it from time to time and if i want to remove it completely when i play i have to repair the game each time i play or open it and thats not a solution
