Sorry all. Found the fix from a kind stranger in game.

Here’s how I came across all my gold in order since release
-invest in cheap T6 mats back during release
-PvE farming through guesting (which was nerfed in April)…this is where I got most of my gold
-Investing in items hoping for a future increase in price
-Flipping high risk items, like Chaos of Lyssa Recipe for 700g profit
-Gambling on precursors/getting lucky (http://imgur.com/a/csqYt)
-Farming both gold boss blitz and gauntlet chances. Made about 2000g off this since the start of the event (will no longer be available on Tuesday)
Some people have all the luck :/

1) Crafting Twilight was the most effort I’ve ever put in a video game and still feel it was all worth it. Effort vs Rewards is pretty awesome in GW2.
2) Many aspects of the game I enjoy such as WvW/ PVP, Cosmetics
3) Great guildies / community + friendly anet employees/devs.

i think the issue with this is that a LOT of people will transmute their default armors into swimsuits. Imagine running Tequalt with half the zerg in swimsuits lol..when you put it that way, its quite fitting since the fight does take place on a beach but imagine doing jormag with swimsuits

2 Things I would like to see:
a) Saving your trait builds. I think everyone would agree this game needs this BADLY esp with the change to re-traiting. For PvE itself I have like 3-4 builds that I use for different situations.
b) More weapon choices and types – I think Anet should dedicate a small team to this. Maybe introduce more weapon types such as Greataxes, Crossbows, Tomes, Fist Weapons, Javelins, etc. I know this will mean a huge amount time required just for balancing each class for the skills each weapon would introduce but hopefully this is something we’ll see soon.
If thts too much to ask, maybe just more weapon and armor skins.

reading this thread made me realize that I’m the only one who likes the GS to be big in size.

Not sure where you heard this but I dont think you can unlock it without buying the feature from the gem store.

You have some points there but IMO, the only thing that will take a hit will be t6 mats since FG champ farming was obliterated by Anet but with megaservers, world bosses has outright replaced champ farming. Theres plenty of ways to make gold but you shouldnt rely on just 1 method to do so.
Crafting professions like tailoring, armorsmithing are still very profitable and theres also explorer mode dungeons to make gold from.
I guess to each his own, but for me I find it even more motivating to make gold now than before.

I thnk it matches the “tough viking warrior” personality well…very suitable for heavy armor, brutish classes
However, i can imagine how awkward it would be for “glamorous” classes like mesmers and ele’s to have a norn voice like that
Jade Quarry (NA)
I’d totally have an affair with Anet

1) As OP, leveling is one of the great pleasure. I got 8 lv80 and 2 extra slots. Especially the down scaling makes up a very good exp no matter solo roaming or playing with friends. I no longer need to left a toon lv behind so i can enjoy playing with low lv real live friends.
2) Removal of trinity, this is a few MMO that not rely on some specific role to play harder contents, i know berserker is the pve meta but i don’t feel forced to use berserker gear here and there. I can build every character to what i want to play.
I think I belong to the pool of people who prefers the trinity system. Having specified roles in say a dungeon gives a lot more purpose to each player playing a specific class rather than the usual mentality of “ZERG IT DOWN” or “NO ZERKER GTFO” that we see in gw2. That being said, things that I find awesome about GW2:
1)Loot system – Loots for everybody ! Nuff said
2)Group play- one of my favourite things. especially running small groups in WvW
3)Active Devs/CM’s in the forums – I think the devs are more actively involved in the forums than any other MMOs
4)Community – I’ve played tons of MMO’s. GW2’s community has to be the best out of all of them. Sure they ’ll be a few bad apples but overall the best
5)Content – They may not get much gratitude for it but they always deliver new content throughout the year even on a F2P game. So theres always something to look forward to.
forgot to add these
6)Gorgeous worlds / art – to the whole art team, you’re doing a superb job!
7)Weekly Dev Discussions – http://www.youtube.com/user/arenanetofficial/videos
8)Outstanding support – I was away from the game for a whole year and forgot the password to my account. They responded and restored my account in 15 minutes
What more can I say. The game isnt perfect but you gotta love the commitment of this GW team.

I’ve actually noticed leveling gets significantly faster later on. I m on my third 80 now and have noticed at around level 30 or so you’ll level exponentially quicker. Focus on moving around quickly and completing the maps and the storyline.
I’ve mentioned this in another thread below, certain classes have 25% movement speed trait bonuses which would be useful for moving from one place to another. I would definitely recommend you to grab it as soon as you can. You wouldn’t believe how something diminutive like movement speed can drastically improve your leveling
Ranger – Signet of the Hunt
Thief – Signet of Shadows
Ele – Signet of Air
Necro – Signet of the Locust
Warrior – Warrior’s Sprint ( Trait under the “Discipline” line )
Engineer – Power Shoes ( Trait under the “Inventions” line )
Jade Quarry (NA)
Try doing some events, explore the map and run some of the “NPC Tasks” or also known as “Renown Heart” until you get to the recommended level for the next part of the storyline. If you can’t find them look for the scouts in your map, usually designated by the spyglass symbol and they’ll guide you to them. You also get some nice bonuses such as karma, masterwork gear and black lion keys for completing the map which involves exploring all points of interest, vistas and completing the NPC tasks. If you open your map you should see be able to see your progress.
Also if you find yourself unable to cope with the mobs, try updating your gear and look for gear that emphasizes on “power”.
If you’ve run out of areas to complete, you could also head over to the other faction starting areas which you can access using the Asura Gates that you may find at either your faction city, Lion’s Arch or Vigil Keep in Genderran Field. Look for the areas on your map defined by the recommended level.

if we compare the “raw size” of the servers and what they can field almost all day long it amounts to something like this:
BG: —-—————————————————————————-
JQ; —-—————————————————————————-
TC: —-——————————————————
SOS: —-—————————
^ this sums up the thread
Jade Quarry (NA)
Both are great servers, there is no real difference to what either server can offer.
WvW wise, SoS is top of tier 2 while DB sits 3rd. http://mos.millenium.org/na/matchups

Could give my home server Sea of Sorrows a shot. We’re a reputable server currently sitting top in Tier 2. Otherwise Maguuma, Dragonbrand, Fort Aspen also have good pvp / wvw coverage and guilds.
If you could get into a Tier 1 server ( Jade Quarry, Tarnished Coast, Blackgate )would probably be better as they have a lot of pvp/wvw guilds. But as far as i know the servers are full.

FA is definitely up there. It was pretty competitive last week and I actually had a hard time against their roamers in EB
Jade Quarry (NA)
As long as there is equal effort put into the development of each race and class, why not. I dont see it happening in a major patch or anything, probably an expansion or soemthing

Fantastic idea. I’m playing through my first norn right now and am digging Havroun Svena’s garment.

What kind of FPS do you get in the LA event
in Battle for Lion’s Arch - Aftermath
Posted by: Abusive.1849
Hey guys,
Firstly apologies if this isnt the right thread to post this and also if this has been posted before but i was curious to know what FPS was everyone getting in those LA zergs. I playing last night and got into the Scarlet’s lair and was getting HUGE fps drops (10-15 fps) .
Considering i’m running a very high end PC
i7 4770k ( overclocked to 4.5 ghz)
R9 290x Crossfire (x 2)
Game installed on SSD
I do have everything at maxed including Supersample turned on and Vsync is turned off. I’ve played games like AC4 where there is literally zergs of NPCS present on screen but still runs super smooth. Is this game is more CPU or GPU dependant?
Jade Quarry (NA)
I just got back myself. I played it briefly when it was launched but quit a few months in because my friends stopped playing it and got bored playing alone.
Recently I finished FF14’s latest content and decided to give GW2 another shot. Am absolutely loving it! Its really improved a lot since the early days. I hope this game will continue to improve and last for more years to come.
Jade Quarry (NA)
wow these look amazing! will be looking forward to when your que reopens
Jade Quarry (NA)
Thanks a lot for all the opinions and thoughts guys. Feeling a bit better about it now. Leveling is a chore and getting to 80 (without crafting) requires a lot of time invested into your character and I dont want it to feel like i’m wasting my time leveling an unpopular/underpowered class. I’ll stick with the class for now and wait till they announce some changes ( for the better i hope ). Its a fun class but I want to know that it’ll be at least a good, solid class with all the time put into it.
Its all mixed opinions atm, mostly negative but I do hope AN have been listening and see if appropriate changes are needed for the ranger to be a bit more useful.
Jade Quarry (NA)
Hey guys. I just got back to GW2 after about a year away. Have a lvl 80 Thief but am rolling a ranger ( 25 atm ) as a new main class. I’m really enjoying the class but i’ve been reading up on it and have been discouraged by the number of complaints against it. Read up on one particular high lvl ranger’s bad experiences in PVE and how its one of the most hated classes in GW2 at the moment and that makes me wonder whether i rolled the wrong class
Its going to be used more for WvW but also for some dungeons and PVE stuff. Did I choose right?
