Here’s my half to Incongruity.7398
I wish I got the inital focal point better, and was stumped for the background, but I couldn’t sit on this much longer since I have tons of work to complete this week. I hope you like it regardless.
Just so you know I’m DeadlyObsession on DeviantART and I was directed here via StarGirlKim.

Her higher level armour is a longcoat consisting of pale brown leather overalls and a purple coat lined with cream. She wields a sword and dagger of the winter theme and two orrian pistols.
Request: If possible, I’d like to see Kryss interacting with her Hoelbrak environment, or in combat against a tremendous or overwhelming foe.
Do you plan to use color or just make a line drawing?: I’ll plan to colour it for sure. But at this point whether it will be done in inks or via PC standalone is still up for debate.
Do you receive/check your PM’s?: I prefer receiving notes (especially the art related stuff) through my own deviantart portfolio page, but via ingame or on the forum may suffice. I’ll more likely be ingame than on the forums with that in mind.
If you want more evidence of Deep Sea Dragon’s existence, look to the Largos. Some of them retreated from the dark oceans of the Unending Ocean, and considering their attitude towards creatures like DSD, some of them are probably still there fighting it.
Remember, these guys are an entirely new race to GW2, so why would they add them there for no reason? There must be some underlying importance to their existence and the reason why there aren’t so many in Tyria right now because it would make too many people realize this important, implying factor.
Yes this happened to me, and this is irritating because I completed the survivor achievement yesterday and now it’s not saying I’ve done it anymore.
Can confirm tokens are bugged. Hadn’t run CM today at all and decided to do explore mode, only got 15 tokens after 1 hour or so of play, am rather annoyed about this since all other team members got 60 tokens.
I had done CoF explorable earlier that day but did not finish it due to player incompetence. I have a feeling something in the code about doing different dungeons may be affecting this.
I actually have been rolling with a norn thief since beta and I thoroughly enjoy it. Norn thieves are more brute & brawn, you wouldn’t realistically approach one if he were mugging someone.

Downclock your graphics cards GPU by at least 80% it’s due to your GPU overheating, I had this problem for 4 weeks and a guild member showed me how to fix it. I haven’t crashed since.
Orr ‘Zergs’? I’ve never relied on a mass zerg in Cursed Shore, Machlor’s Leap (Or whatever it’s called) or Straits of Devastation to get around. I’ve partied up with a few friends in the guild to help them get around.
As for map hostilities, there are always a-holes no matter what game you play. If you don’t like how these guys are speaking to you, simply block them and you won’t see those messages any more. More specifically, this ‘hostile’ attitude is pretty much everywhere. As recently as this morning and yesterday, there was much arguing and incompetence going on while I was traversing on my new warrior through Queensdale, Kissex Hills and Lion’s Arch.
It’s probably due to the fact they actually realize they can’t kill players whenever they want, nor can they KS them in this game thanks to it’s sensible mechanics, so they resort to verbal resentment and mockery instead.
Didn’t mean story question in the title, rather I meant it was a character in the story, so excuse the tags.
What exactly is this character supposed to be? I’ve never played Guild Wars 1 and I can’t find anything on the Wiki. but I do remember seeing one other similar creature as a skill point challenge.
When I run Guild Wars 2, after a few hours play or a few minutes (it seems based on the heavy lighting in certain areas. It seems to happen constantly in Heart of Mists PVP.) causes a hard crash to the computer. From then on one of the following happens:-
-PC screen goes black, sound still plays for a time and movement is still possible until a freeze and sound loop occurs.
-The PC displays two rectangular blocks in a pattern down the screen, most commonly the last two major colours that displayed before the crash. Soundloop and inability to manuevre present.

I’ve already applied the AMD Guild Wars 2 patch posted in the sticky but the issue still persists.
Help is much appreciated, it’s putting my sister off of playing the game, and it’s becoming an annoyance to me as well.

At the end of the day you only have a theory, you can’t prove it statistically because you don’t have the information on hand.
In Blazeridge Steppes there’s a man named Wark who gets kidnapped by a Harpy Matriarch under a time limit. At one point he moans and says:-

Level 80 – Cursed Shore – Legendary Wizard at Arah’s Gate. <I don’t remember his name but we fought him yesterday>
I still don’t think mob kills in the group are based on singular people dealing the most damage, I believe there is an element of luck (as with all drops) and a required participation percentage required on the kill in order to get a drop. Take for example, event champions. Players can loot off of the same body (if they are lucky enough to of course) and the players each get their own share of loot, deeming they qualify for the loot drop with enough participation.
If you guys are getting silvers/bronzes and no chest for full participation you must be doing something wrong. I’ve been to about 6 Shatterer events since level 46-80 and I’ve gotten a gold and chest from each one. Not sure if it’s because I like to stick to ranged weapons but that’s just me.
I do feel the fight could have been executed better though. I noticed you can’t really get behind the guy and strike him from there, just his head and forefeet. Would love to see the guy have his tail lopped off mid fight or something.
I believe the ‘no hearts’ thing is intentional. Those two zones run mainly on dynamic events, but especially considering we’re dealing with experience rewards and all that, they should really focus more on karma rewards than anything. That’s just me though.
Events give more experience from what I’ve seen. Stick to those, and you’ll be 80 in no time.
IIRC; if you let Trahearne die, then the entire quest halts (NPCs will only follow him, not you.) and you can’t go further. Easiest solution is to NOT let him die, but this is pretty difficult to achieve. Best solution is to get a friend to help you complete it, but yeah, it’s extremely frustrating.
I finished the personal story last night. I have to say, between the 50-80 questline, I absolutely hated the guy. He came from nowhere and took over my story like he was supposed to be someone important. It would have been nice to have referenced him earlier in the story for the other races or SOMETHING that would have given him justification for being a ‘hero’. But his transition from scholar to marshal felt way too forced.
By the last dungeon and versus the Sovereign Eye of Zhaitan, only then did his role feel more sidelined over my own.
But for the majority, 30 quests or more worth of it, I felt he was an intrusive character with a rather wooden personality.
Only the ending of Arah, really turned over my opinion of him. I really think the problem was either the rushing of the story, or the fact he is, personality and dialect wise, a very inconsistent character.
It’s possible to do it without dying, but it’s very difficult! You need to know how to tackle each and every enemy for the situation without any learning curve. For example, I switched out my utilities on my thief for Speed Signet, Caltrops and Attack Signet when dealing with the Veteran Abominations.
The problem I think is there is no learning curve, the new enemies need to be thrown in slowly at first so we can adapt to them, just like in any action RPG, and then introduce more and more later on.
Edit: Thought I’d mention the first Warhorn Heirloom quest for Norn at level 10+ or so. It was one of the hardest missions through my 80 levels of personal story on my norn. They throw several ranged imps at you, as well as a Veteran Ice Imp, who becomes invulnerable whilst constantly spawning ranged mobs at you.

Use transmutation stones to pass on the look to a more powerful weapon?
Rytlock was a prepurchase exclusive IIRC. Can’t cite this though.
I’m not so familiar with the first Guild Wars, but I do remember the Tengu (and possibly the Grawl, poor memory here) made their influence in one of the released expansions. Guild Wars 2 however, introduced some new races such as the Quaggan and the Hylek. How do you think they emerged and dealt with the presence of other races around them with different values? And more importantly, what about their impact with the playable five?
Plants actually need oxygen like people do, besides everything else. They’ve probably had a curious first born down the line test the water to see if they would survive once… and since they died, they learn from that situation and borrowed technology from the other land creatures.
If you have a chance, could you paint Kryss Winterheld?

She wears a purple leather coat with layers of leather and a white undershirt and uses the same hairstyle setting as Eir Stegalkin, but with white hair and a purple band with gold adornments. Personality-wise, she’s curious, adventurous, boisterous and charismatic. Her weakness is her physical capacity; she’s not nearly as strong as most Norn in Hoelbrak and relies on indecisive actions to take out her opponent. Her closest allies are Vilcore, a Sylvari from the Grove and Louis Alber, a human from Divinities Reach.
Just some Guild Wars 2 fanart and screencaps by me. Plenty more art coming soon, since this game pulled me out of my artblock!

There’s no such thing as a dedicated healer in this game, and that was proven to me personally when I went on my first run in Ascalon. Despite the absurd difficulty, we did well without a healer. It was more a matter of adjusting and swapping out skills to meet each situation. (As a thief I find myself switching into my Tripwire and Smoke Screen utility skills often)
The first champ we encountered we found quite difficult (I blame the one individual who had the WoW mindset when we entered and tried to tank the champ) and he found himself dying instantly to that guy, even being a warrior and all.
So guess what I did? I pulled the champion mob to the top of the stairs, jumped down when he got close. (Mobs don’t jump down the stairs as they used fixed waypoints to get to you) And by the time he hit the bottom of the stairs, I tripwired him and ran up again.
TL; DR; it’s about strategy. My younger sister and a friend both play guardians and they both really enjoy them. If you’re using a guardian to ‘try’ and be a dedicated healer, you’re doing it wrong.
