Just as title says visual bug which is reproduced sometimes havent tested when, not my job to, added pic. It happens once u oveheat once and then go into photon forge after cooling.

Seems like this thing didnt even cut the patch notes. But thanks for the effort and actually fast clipping modifications (thought we will wait for next episode).

There will probably will still be complains for example how heavy helm has changed atleast in preview, but atleast for me the level of clipping is alright (there will be clipping…. you know the rest). Would love to have flameseekers shield not clipping with skirt but meh just not going to craft it… So thanks again for fast effort.

NO TO BOTH fix the core problem. Making us choose 1 less wrong out of 2 bad decisions won’t make us happy. Make a dynamic point. Make MORE ajustable things. Legendary armor highlighted the huge engine or core development problem which needs to get fixed for the game to move forward.

Next, I rly dont want to punch myself in a face with shoulder all the time, but thats kinda the facepalm i get when i see how much clipping passed testing… asura toes, human back when running etc etc… Please finish the half finished product. btw human female legs clip with human female legs when whielding 1-handed weps, how did that passed testing is beyond me.

In this game the biggest struggle many people come across when it comes to helm is: do I wear a full on hood or helm, or wizard hat and my hair-stile and sometimes face are never visible OR do i wear some eye-shade horns to make my “natural beauty” shine. Hell, very many people prefer wearing outfits without helms, because most of them hide the head completely. With new animated Legendary armor there is a possibility of both: having no head armor OFF combat and having armor on the head IN combat. So please we need something like this in our game lives!

Sorry couldn’t find a video where soldiers armor actually changes, but basically you look like teal’c off-combat and you look like snake soldier in combat Not to mention of how similar shape is experimental envoy medium armor (the chest and helm) to make this possible. Cheers!

This is like the third forth post I read about warrior leaked info and again some people make this mistake: " omg how will it look with my axe/mace/shield offhand". In case you don’t realise D/D as an elite spec actually means ONLY D/D. That is not different from a 2 handed weapon just you use 2 daggers instead and can’t even equip D/S or D/A. It will be advertised as: “we are always looking for new ways to implement weapons in a non-conventional way”. To be honest I like it, maybe I can force myself to play those “afkbrain” heavy classes more if they give some depth to mechanics.

I know I know, hot sensitive topic…

Since indefinitely suspension means we never get it, because given reason: devs need more people to develop other stuff… What I ask for is 1 guy from probably computer art design team.

He makes a contest, that is a blogpost anouncement that they take submits of legendary weapons, gives his email, we send our work to him…
Reasons: we know Tyria probably better than most devs do,
we can create an interesting journey because we know where mobs spawn what event are in Tyria.
We are already familiar with legendary journey and how much raw gold and materials it should require based on 3 HOT legies.
Gw2 community has made insane impressive art and fan based stuff during the years which devs keep showing at podcasts and streams.
We can do full requirements with collections and estimated gold costs time req etc… maybe even make icons…

Similar like how bloggers and youtubers do best elite spec contests, we can do same for legendaries just for Anet. After lets say the art design guy has 100 submits of different legies he presents the one he likes to the board. Then the best lets say 3 legendaries get made.
Resourses needed for that are very limited: only to take lets say BOLT collection change it around take our art replace the art of Bolt and BAM new legie(maybe not that simple but still…).

And what the community winners of that contest get? Well ofc the legendary they designed. Win Win Win… Sorry for English, I am not native.

Please don’t make us whine for 3 more years about legendary effects, like we had to do about hobosacks. I have crafted juggernaut and on hammer: only auto attack does spitting quicksilver thingy… when u expect that jumping with quicksilver weapon aka hammer 3 would spit it all over the place. Also since we are in the change Era, we need legendary auras on kits too.

Also hammer 4 puts the edge of the hammer inside of your body and threw your back on some weapon models including legendary(juggernaut). Tested on Norn char.

Ok so enough about animations and lets talk about mechanics…

Gyro’s doesnt keep up with u, and basicly u cant get their effect while running which is what u are supposed to do in action based game and if u have swithness it make matters even worse. Its like never ending race: you move, you stop drone catches up times infinity. Maybe its a design but i dont know how useful is an elite – a stealthy turtle when u can only move few meters inorder to reapply stealth in any WvW scenario you would just get sieged to hell.

Also hammer 3 first jump doesnt really work well with autotarget and if u dont face the mob it doesnt hit it but just jump in the way your character is looking.

Continuum split tooltip

Plz a better tooltip, with clear numbers, like: 0 iliusions 0,25 sec/ 1iliusion… 2 iliusion… Because at the moment is really unclear… tooltip says its 1,5 sec and increasing per iliusion… Its clearly not 1,5 sec for each iliusion, its clearly not 1,5 sec without iliusions.

Did some testing and it seems like without iliusions i can only do instant cast skill and with 3 shattered i need quickness to be able to cast 4,5 sec worth of skills(numbers may be off)… So again tooltip very unclear for such big skill…

Simply put we need this mechanic: when i press dodge-roll button my pet also evade attacks… this should be baseline. At the moment ranger dodge aoes, pet still stands in them and even if u call him back with F3 or F4(mode swap) he won’t make it in time or still stand in aoe(since ranger stands close to circle). Not to mention this is insane micromanagement for close to none results.

Example for developers… go in SE p1 at Tazza(last boss) go melee 5 rangers tell me how big is your pet graveyard after boss(because of aoes). Of course this only 1 example.

If I am wrong tell me what I’m missing and help me L2P…

P.s. No this isn’t asking too much, when we have the group support and dps of other classes(cough cry more about elite spec ele:D) then you can tell me I ask too much.

July without gemstore update?

Last time gem-store was updated June 30 with monks outfit… after that nothing… today is another Tuesday = no update. Before there was new or returning items every week, now 21 days without one.

I don’t really understand … did they get enough money from pre-purchase and decided to deliver items latter? First take away living story, then no festivals for 6 months… (no pavillion etc.) and now full month of no gemstore too. BOOring.

BLC weapons were every 2 weeks, now this patch of new ones is ugly and will be for 4 weeks… logic…(personal oppinion).

WE WANT STUFF! gl everyone

Ok so what you guys want to see in HoT ? It’s clear by now that devs don’t undertstand our class too well and tends to avoid it but we clearly need things to be changed and when if not in expansion…
Therefore post where you think engineer hurts the most so it give any indication on what engineer community wants to see happen in expansion.

My list:

1. Hammer as a melle huge Dps wep with atleast 1 blast finisher. Wars and Guards have their hammer as a defensive/cc wep, but they have GS to supplement for that. We have 0 melle wepons and will have 1 so it better be EPIC and awesome. Dps as big as 100blades, rapid fire, pistol wip, but of course longer cooldown because engineer is a “click as much buttons as u can to win” class.

2. Elites. We have 1 good elite(supply crate)… everyone is using it… and looking at the pvp people and how they cry about how good it is it is possible for incomming nerf…. I hope everyone realises if you nerf the last good engineer elite u must buff the rest…

Please do something with MORTAR… i actually don’t care what you do… its worse than racial elites… i accept even removing it at all so we could whine and cry about unfair elite skills and make devs give us normal elite skill
I am still hoping for an awesome new wearable kit elite skill or move healing kit to elite so we could use turret and kit at same time …dreams

3. Finally. Yes you guessed it… wait for it…. wait…. HOBOSACKs!!! not going to talk about them there is a whole topic for it.

You don’t see the irony of ‘splitting’ megaservers? It seems you don’t understand how they work or what the point of having them is.

Its more like i personally believe it was a mistake to sum up all servers into 1 instead of combining them by language. We still have more than enough player base to split into 3-4 megaservers(if u look at overcrowded world events where u just stand there pressing 1 until boss dies coz there are too many people). Not to mention we already have that in LFG… since u see a flag of what country people party is composed…

Ok so i had another wild idea appear which is more tolerant to everyone and more appealing.

We would still have split megaserver by language and when u go from one megaserver to another by taxi(to your friend lets say) if the languge is different to the one you are at the point of taxi’ing pop up appears: " You are about to change to a German base megaserver" with options continue or decline.

Doing this people will know what to expect… for example if I am at French silverwastes I can expect to be misunderstood so I would just silently doing events I like.

This way it give information about the server you are, maintains a bonds u may have with different culture people, allows multilanguage players to talk with whom they want and ensures that main population of the server is specific language base.

Ok so Papry explain to me: where is the downside of having language specific megaservers? Because all u talk about is ’’superiority" “seclusion” etc.

If they refuse to learn English and we refuse to learn their language whats the point having such person beside u anyway for both sides for communication reasons alone. THIS IS A 2 WAY STREET.

And my suggestion about client language is very valid for people who talk multilanguages too. You just change the client language and you become a part of that language community too.

Should I repeat again I wrote this not to start a racism war for languages. If you have reasons not to talk English i accept but don’t expect me to talk French for example and with split megaservers everyone is happy.

Really? I am seeing English as a superior because i proposed to divide servers to English base, German base, French base etc.? Where is this seeing English being superior or is that because English population is the majority of the game? I have no point to learn a language which is basicly talked in 1 country and if they see no point to learn English we have no way to communicate and our gameplay gets worse. This is not about rasism to other language its about improving gameplay for all.

Correct me if I’m wrong but megaserver doesnt take in account people taxi’ing at all and so we end up in server where we see commanders on map who doesnt talk to us because they don’t know English.

Again to the guy who gave his: “Anet gives easy content no need to being able to speak with people” … Well triple thread comes to mind, of course silverwastes, do you even know how many runs fail due to incapability to organise better? On top of that Anet clearly stated that in expansion they will give really difficult content to make the game harder…

So give conclusive arguements because writting: ‘’nope because i don’t like it" is childish at best.

In European version of the game we have different servers by different language so naturally people from Germany, France or Spain tend to join those servers. Many of them probably can’t even talk English… Now we don’t see their text in map chat as it filters threw, but we still do events together with them and stuff.

Example: we ask 100 times to go waypoint if u are dead in silverwastes events due to boss scaling… And some people don’t even understand us… then when we finally res them you see something like ‘’ merci ’’…. like really man? you can’t even thank me in English…

Not being able to communicate in large events is a burden and it needs to be solved, knowing that we expansion is comming we will probably get more large events and this will become even bigger problem. This only fuels rage since miscommunication leads to failure and gamers hate failures…

So i suggest bond different language servers into different megaservers so people can organise better and don’t allow switch megaservers from one language to another. Yes i know your arguement: “Im from that server and i can talk English why punish me”, well u can always change server(more money for the company).

Or another suggestion is to bond servers by client language(we know there are different client version and u can pick which u like). So if u enjoy talking in English and working with us, you could just swap client language and reach our megaservers…

Anet doesn’t realise that we won’t stop complain until the issue is properly adressed. Don’t give us the usual: " Our team hears your request but we are busy with other stuff ". Time to acknowledge the problem which puts engineer class at the bottom of played classes and promise to fix it. If not with expansion then in the consecutive update with the rest of the “new” legendaries.

Since you prepare the expansion, you have all resource you need to make things better for engineers. When if not now?

I mean there was a post in which a guy complained about how a door window is viewable from one side and not from the other and Dev came and said yea we look into it…

But lets allow our characters and main heros talk nonsence that never happen is normal(Tons WIDOW? Other eyes? Sayah says its nice to meet you AGAIN? why again when we meet for first time:D?
Its hilarious beyond belief.

If that was my first char completion i would be very dissatisfied with experience(Feels dissapointed and leaves the forums).

So i haven’t lvled new character for some time now and in these holidays i did(haven’t lvled after september feature patch). So few things i noticed – i didnt get any quest after forging the pact in mount maelstrom or timberline, instead it moved straight to defend the fort trinity…
I thought okey maybe they removed the unnesesary story parts in feature update, but after Fort trinity defence, I got i quest to go to airship to fly to cursed shore where i get the Royal tomb quest(thraherns first atempt to cleanse orr). After got 2 same flying quest to do grenth and successful orr cleansing(aka about 10 mission skipped).
Weird I thought but when i lvled 80(chapter 8 ) and i got back to “Temple of the lost god” mission i kinda lost it… I take the quest and Traherne speaks about how Tonn died and how his wife will never forgive me(A QUEST WHICH I NEVER HAD, but since it’s my 7th-8th lvled 80 i know the story from previous that it’s in mount maelstrom and i have 0% exploration in that map…)
To sum up Quests are missing and misplaced… not to mention the dialog failures when last king of ORR speaks how he was the EYE and my character says, ohh the other eyes were your mates kings(tho i never saw other eyes while doing personal quest exept Pale tree vision).

Any updates what I am missing? or the whole experience is just bugged atm?

Hi. So today we got new skin cloth in gem store called ‘’shoulder scarf’‘.
When u try preview it in gem store, on MEDIUM or LIGHT class it undresses the charracter and shows only shoulder item, since its HEAVY item based, which is very unsatisfying for any not heavy classes since nearly all gemstore is HEAVY based(glowing eyes etc).
Item looked nice for me so i went to storage wardrobe to check it on my armor for any glitches and stuff(we all know that some armor glitches and there won’t be fix for it). Problem is there is no ’’shoulder scarf" in storage wardrobe preview(or i am completely blind).

Suggestion add the ’’new’’ items to storage wardrobe the SAME update you add the item(I don’t believe theres any complex coding there) or change gemstore preview to not be HEAVY based, coz without normal preview many ppl including me won’t buy stuff.

September Fix Patch

Nope not fix patch… In a game where half the classes are forced to use only 1 efficient elite skill It’s not fixed. (Mortar says hello out of the grave).

Feature patch… yeah kind of… I guess we would all love to see more resourse investment in fixing balancing skills, for example take one of the best thief skill – refuge and bring others to its lvl traps, venoms etc… because if its not the same worth as refuge I won’t keep it on my bar…..

And less gemstore outfits and minis every week… Anyway after rangers promised upgrade we will wait for other fixes. Hope for sooner rather than later.

Ohh and what you do wrong … well those COLOUR SWATCHES was over the top:D

Ohh and what we need to be happy is that every feature/content/big patch have something to make people say: WoooW. Like was wardrobe system in April was really amazing feature, account bound ascended, 5 new traits.

Currently September patch seems a bit lacking, maybe theres still a BOMB to come

Seriously u gonna qq about Meteorlogicus? Get in line plz… I play engi and i see my legendary effect, aura, footsteps like 20% of fight time… and on 1 skill in rotation = granades barrage. Yeah I know.. reroll warrior:D

Plus meteorlogicus was already reworked and i wouldn’t hope for anything soon. GG for trying, but it won’t be heard.

1. You have a ‘’ kick player ’’ option even if 2 ppl are in party and it removes a player in party without vote… not sure how it works in dungeons tho…

2. the whole idea of selling dungeons is BS since u have no insurance on both sides what so ever. Since u have such huge profit like 5×4+3=23g per run let them risk being scammed or try to scam ppl.

3. IT SHOULDN’t EVEN BE POSSIBLE TO SOLO dungeons especially ARAH… but of course Anets pet warrior does it all

I wonder if I am the only one who feels that game lost it’s touch… i have like 1,3k hours of playing and uhm there is nothing fun to do in the game at the moment… And it feels that i have done everything…

What the game had to offer:

lvling: done 4 times lvl 80…

making legendary: did 1 not into making another due to insane farm just for skin which every third person in LA has.

dungeons: done all hundreds of times for gold farming legendary…

living story: feels like “queens jubile” was the best they could think of, that actually involved huge part of community and that recent living story was just lame in time,effort/reward part…. I mean rly for fractured meta u got 1 each ascended material(seriously?) and now 1 tricolour key for nightmare aftermath…
I somehow feel like krait obelisc was worthless too since player who plays atleast 3 hours per day still gets 2-3 skill points for sure. So i kinda did just story instances and didn’t bother in completing meta…

WvW: yeah was cool season 1 at least 1 Meta u have to do something to earn it…
Tho reward again doesnt represent time,effort spent, but was worth it for title etc…
YET now noone bothered to make season 2 and wvw back to being pointless.

pvp: never been into it. This games endgame is all about skins and u have to grind from the start again. + seriously? pvp items from achievment box are soulbind… AS IF MY THIEF CAN WIELD A HAMMER, TORCH AND PLATE ARMOR:D

Balance: still upset, nothing changed since i started playing half a year ago: dungeon groups still flame for warriors and guards(obviously because of highest dmg, good support, newby friendly). When actually class dmg and usefulness to group should be equal the skill required to play… Not to mention seeing rangers, engi being kicked off group just coz they are rangers and engi (can’t talk from pvp perspective tho in wvw group fights its kinda the same).

New healing skills: well for thief it was a joke 45 sec cooldown no condition removing with 60 fixed traitpoint… noty didnt even bought the skill till today… and antitoxing is just weak…

Ascended armor: uhmmm over 200g for 15 points in stats + requirement to use transmutation stones to don’t look ugly in skin wars 2? naaaa(my numbers maybe off so dont be hasty:))

Not to mention: the game got more and more lag after every patch… textures load slow and LA takes more and more time to even load and ofc much lower FPS. Year old bugs. New cloths clipping issues( again seriously? u release new stuff, which ppl buy’s for GEMS and it has clipping issue’s? example: new charr face and like 50% of helms)

Seems like after u create a character who has all the skins u want u are done, no endgame left for u…
+ half of new endgame offer u to GRIND for gold or buy GEMS…

So anyone feels like the game is getting more and more flat and boring?

Just as the title says… I am standing in front of treasure box with both key parts in inventory and it just won’t open nor give me achievment for completing the puzzle.
I am currently on Ruins of surmia, Arborstone, Blacktide match up…

P.S. kinda lame to make achievment in season one which ends in few days and it doesn’t work..

So after DEC 10 when there is no more perma stealth, if someone keeps crying about stealth i suggest you stop using your healing signet, insane amount of blocks and ask ANET to give you same HP as thief has.

This class has only one ability to avoid being shred to pieces and that is stealth!(only S/D has normal evade)

You ask for nerf stealth? Ok nerf it as much as you want, but i want BLOCKS then, give me your HP then…

Now please save your cries that ‘’ we cant’t see thieves ‘’ … yet you can attack…
So what if i can see WAR, GUARD, ELE, ENGI if they block atacks?
Stealth is same thing just backwards you can hit but you don’t see.
Mathematically it’s STEALTH = 1/BLOCK.

So HANDS OFF of the things we have left!

Not sure if someone posted this already or not, but choosing possibility(vote for way) doesn’t pop up in TA after running forward… NPC just auto selects foward foward and opens the door.

No i failed because of the bug in SHIPS of the LINE personal story quest. U get to pick:

destroy the navy
find missing squad
take tanks to heart of orr

After i pick navy, first mission is pain in the kitten because there is a spiderlord champion with tones of conditions cc minion spawn and mass health so he kinda kills you in 10 sec if u try to kite him. But i managed to do that quest because he didn’t regenerate HP(one of NPC kept him in combat) and in 5-6 tries i did it.

Then came one normal difficulty mission with 4 undead ships.

AND then came SHIPS IN THE LINE mission. Where u have to control guns to reflect and atack catapults, bone walls etc. and GIANTS hit u with their rock. Everything is cool till u have to go below the den to solve ooze problem. Then giants still somehow manages to throw rocks on you when u below the den (ships bottom floor).

SO i still did that part… and then came the BUG part. you have to save NPCs from the other ship which orrians crashed. So i go the green circle on map, res one NPC and can’t res any others. So i went google and checked that NPC which supposed to fallow me has to res them, but he just stood there chilling in poison cloud(which was thrown from one of ships) with full hp;D no matter what i did he still was there.

So i pressed R(not to get hit by poison and die) and went online for another clue or something and i FOUND devs message( i copy again) :

I know it’s frustrating, but it’s a bug at the end of the game for players on one of 3 different paths, so it really doesn’t affect enough players to be worth risking a hotfix. So i open my game again and see that i swam out of border of instance, then rage quit, then write that post which i suppose u didn’t get.

Whats funny is that they say there wasn’t time to test it. Ohh come on 1 year isn’t enough? Anyway I am never picking that story line again. Not only TANK path is much easier, but it isn’t bugged…

So I have 4 characters at lvl 80 1 of them did priory mission save missing squad, 2 vigil with tanks which was like MEGA easy. So I thought to try out the last one on the last character.

AND IT IS HORRIBLE! Compared to the tank missions IT’S like 3 times harder, the CHAMP in the first mission is unkillable ( just lucky he didn’t regenerate health while I am always running to him after being killed). THEN comes the canon mission where somehow u get shot by giants rock in the ooze part too, because it is soo LOGICAL that giants can throw rock UNDER the den.

Ohh did i FORGOT that stupid NPC doesn’t fallow you to rez after u have to go and save ‘’ Windfall ’’ crew?

I mean i can do TANK part in 30 minutes and this NAVY is just imbalanced and BUGGED.

And the joke. I found this posted a year ago by devs still not fixed, but yeah it’s better to give NEW stuff every 2 weeks than actually fix the old one:

I know it’s frustrating, but it’s a bug at the end of the game for players on one of 3 different paths, so it really doesn’t affect enough players to be worth risking a hotfix. Well I don’t see a 1 stack of might instead of 2 as a possible way to exploit anything.
(ofc it’s just this particular case).

Also theres a 300 reply and 25k view thread about HOBOSACKS and only input by devs was like yeah maybe we will get on to that, but we have other projects which consumes more time…

To be honest there is something wrong with devs – community confersation…

So any fixes in Dec. 10 patch?

Yeah so they gave us a glance what will change and what new things will they add and everyone now is raging about vigor etc…

BUT

Is there any mention about fixing things? I mean there are things that needs actual fix, for example HGH on thrown elixir indicates 2 stacks of might, but gives only 1… of course this isn’t the only thing in need for a fix…

So any news on fixing part?

OR we just get another bunch of new things with a bunch of new bugs ?
Any input is welcome, just please stay on topic:)

1) No more nerfs until thieves and other classes can play at same lvl warriors does
2) PP builds i mean at the moment we do more dmg with SHORT BOW tho PP is single target and SB is aoe
3) utility skills: I mean i think i would be correct saying 80-90% thieves use deception and signet only… ignoring venoms and traps at all.

New cloths on asura

So we have this new cloths after 10.29 patch so i just went to pvp and checked how well they look on me. Guess what: those ‘’ new ’’ cloths actually means same old asura toes protrude threw the boots. I mean it’s not enough all of the normal set cloths do that, but gem store ones (which in my mind should be on a higher quality, because come on it’s gem store).

Of course now u guys will say it’s only visual ETC. But really the stuff is NEW and it has visual problems.

Not to mention other visual problems like squares when u cloak with any shining armor like radiant:)

So please when you are adding new stuff please make sure it’s good quality especially in gem store:)

Never ever ever would quit a thief for a warrior or guardian. Why? because I don’t like be one of 32% of game population of warriors who picked this class because it’s OP and easier to play than any other.

Lets see mhm:
Best damage?
Best health?
Best defense?
Same movement as thiefs?
Huge buffs? (compared to thief which has 0:D )
Better damage boost traits?

Yeah kinda because of that:) if Quit then for any other high skill required class like Engi or Mesm.

P.s. Plz give warriors like 10 sec of stealth and few pets then we can actually make a warrior wars 2 begin

I wonder if that would make the population drop same amount like it did on pandas in you know what game:)
