It is not necessary to have specific traits/equipment.
Most dungeons can be run without any armor or traits.
However most people have done the dungeons so often that they just want to finish it as fast as possible.
To be as fast as possible specific meta builds have been created to achieve this.
Groups that want to be as fast as possible usually advertise their group as “zerker, meta, ‘speedrun’, ‘fast run’, dmg”
I dont understand your problem OP, i just did arah with a nice group via the lfg tool and one path took us only ~20-25min
I guess the fact that beta invites drop in Silverwastes is a clear sign what kind of players anet wants and what their definition of “challenging group content” is
gw2lib got updated 5min ago^^
Lets hope that some nice dungeon/raid content is included
Proposal Overview
A raid in form of an elite area with a difficult endboss.
Multiple events unlock this endboss, but it doesnt matter in which order the events are completed.
Allows different tactics to split a group in order to complete these events faster or complete the events slower but safer as a zerg.
Goal of Proposal
Add non-linear challenging content with long term replay potential, which is not exclusive for only “leet gamers”
Proposal Functionality
In my opinion a raid in Guild Wars 2 should be a mix of the current dungeons and open world with a few new features.
Raidsize: 8-15 players, (less than 8 player can hardly be called a raid, but more than 15 players could be difficult to complete for smaller guilds)
What i propose is a wide area which has multiple ways to go from point A to point B.
You spawn in the middle of this area and have to complete several events to get to the last big boss.
The last boss should be a difficult boss with multiple phases.
There is no waypoint, the only way to resurrect someone is the normal hard-rez. If all players die the raid fails.
There are two types of events:
Primary events:
These are events which you have to succeed in order to get to the last boss.
If a primary event fails, it cannot be restartet and the raid fails.
Optional events:
These are events which give certain benefits to the party. (e.g. allied npcs, buffs, disable certain enemies, disable debuffs) Some of these optional events can make primary events easier and some of these events can make the endboss a little bit easier.
So you have to choose whether you want a fast but really difficult run or a slower run but a little bit easier.
If a optional event fails it cannot be restartet, but you can continue with the raid. (perhaps add a little temporary punishment for failing the event?)
Different tactics:
- beginners could complete this raid with practice as one big group which is slow but safe (estimated time: 2-3h)
- average players can split into a 2-4 teams to speed it up (estimated time: 1h30min – 2h)
- experts (players who know everything that you could know about this raid and have skill, e.g players who are able to solo the current dungeons without bugs/exploits) can split into 1-3 player teams for record runs (+ one main team) (estimated time: 45min-1h)
Important: all these times are only a rough estimate for practised players
There should be a huge chest after defeating the endboss, with appropriate loot (NOT account- or soulbound).
For example new unique raid loot, or ascended weapons/armor.
Only a few short, skippable cutscenes.
No endless talking of NPCs who prevent progress.
Associated Risks
Splitting up in different teams could not be an improvement in time, if the encounters have a much shorter duration with a bigger team.
The encounters could be too easy for one huge team that runs as a zerg. (too difficult could also be the case)
The encounters could be too easy for experts that split up. (too difficult could also be the case)
Option 5: One person is sufficient to kick someone, no need to bring a mate to do some fast dungeon runs, this way it will also be possible to do some fast solos.
Its much safer to use a sigil of paralysation and just interrupt his aoe in p2, that way it doesnt matter what profession you play and they cant kick you, because nobody knows who did it.
This is working as intended, your party has to sing a beautiful song in order to continue, we thought this would be an appropriate challenge for our dear dungeon folks.
It´s not a bug, it´s a feature……….. patch
Size doesn´t matter if you know how to use it.
If you want players to stop using the wall (which prevents some attacks from Lupi) you could just add a poison cloud surrounding the wall and gates (similar to a Risen Defiler).
Once Lupicus is dead, the poison cloud is gone.
However, if you apply this change you also have to enforce that you cant pull Lupicus outside of the arena and kill him on a wall outside
(edited by Alex.9106)
Is that like mating Lupi with Alpha?
Do you want a dungeon where you fight their offspring?
Giganticus Alphicus, instead of the Boltautoattack he has the Alpha AoE Attack.
You have to fight him 3 times…

Torches, who wants torches!
No riot without torches!
Let us burn her now!
(I hope swifty is tasty… mhhhhhhmmmm)
no, if you stand inside that circle lupicus will move (moving lupi/pushing lupi)
you just have to stand at the edge of that red circle

There will always be a way to clear pve effective (if not, pve has reached a state where you press the “I win”-button and get some shinies).
Those who clear it effective now, will adapt after changes and continue to play effective.
There will always be people who cry because their way of playing the game is not effective.
If you make the game difficult, so that berserker isnt viable anymore the people who play berserker will adapt and still be effective. The people who cried will drown in tears after they realize that they are barely able to complete the conent after the changes and the people playing effective will still clear everything faster.
So the people cried for changes will still cry for changes and if it changes again they´ll still cry, until there is a “I win”-button.
(sorry for mistakes, im alittle bit sleepy
)
Yes, recipes still drop, but not all dungeon paths have a recipe, for example arah p3 doesnt drop a recipe.
1000 tokens from all dungeons is not that much. Recipe drops are rare, for example i got 80000 arah tokens and only have one p1 recipe, one p2 recipe and three p4 recipes.
Lupicus has his kick in phase 1 and his melee claw attack (similar to kick) in phase 2.
The crystall should be destroyed by teammates if you dont go solo, but if you go solo just learn how to dodge
just ignore atse, she/he is a bad troll
usually alot of thing she/he said is kitten
It is possible to dodge the crystalls, alpha has an animation for them.
(yes, the animation is quite fast, but possible with training, similar to lupicus kick just a little bit faster)
So if you fail a dodge you are trapped, when the aoe downs you you can still rally on tendrils.
Ok, classes with teleports can get out of the crystall if they are trapped.
Its even easier than Lupicus with a low hp class, where a missed dodge on a kick usually is your death.
How is that bad design?
even if there is a dungeon starter tag, it wont help you much in your scenario.
If someone goes offline or has a dc he/she will get kicked automatically after 5min or 10min (not sure), so you have 5/10min time to finish the dungeon with 4 man
p3/p4 skip is still possible
lupicus skip is still possible
Patch Notes:
- We removed some easy jumping puzzles in Arah and replaced them with new ones
took me 30min to find a new p3/p4 skip, gg anet
invisible walls never fix skips
This video is old (sorry didnt bother to watch it, but its the only logical conclusion which one can come to).
Updates come and go.
Alot of traits got changed.
The Trait “Fire (III): Burning you apply last longer” didnt exist when this video was done.
Trait III was 5% more Dmg when the enemy is burning.
He is not using the Trait “Arcane (VI):Move faster when wielding daggers”, he is using “Arcane (II):Gain vigor when delivering critical hits” which was Trait VI before updates happened.

This is PVT
Dead dps do no dps!
i prefer dead players if i have a choice between dead players or negative dps
what? he did all bosses, the only thing which he didnt record is a little puzzle
p4 has only 4 bosses, sometimes 5 if the risen knight spawns
i doubt that you have enought money to pay me for a legit arah p4 run.
the brain damage which a solo/duo melandru causes is too high
I like blind bosses too, sometimes lupicus asks me where his glasses are.
I just finished the personal story on my full cleric bearbow ranger, so im pretty confident that you dont have to use a class called warrior to play gw2
Did you or one of your phantasms (or allied npcs) stand exactly inside of alphard? (if you stand inside an enemy the body triggers before reflection)
The same at p1, if a crystal breaks people tend to use feedback but continue to stand inside the jotun which leads to their dead, because feedback triggers after the attack ‘comes out of his body’
im also doing great in pugs since i changed my build to 14/14/14/14/14 with cleric weapons+armor its awesome
still need an answer, or else i wont do this path on my necro
Hey, i killed a boss.
Hey, i used a waypoint.
Hey, i killed a different boss.
Hey, i used a different waypoint.
Hey, depending on which boss i have killed i only have to kill 50-150 more bosses or events.
Hey, i can substract 1 from this number each week, if i do some guild missions.
Hey, lets guess what was involved in my guild mission.
Nono dont say it, let me guess… perhaps … a boss? Not sure..
Hey how do you know that.
Hey, thats funny.
Forever yours
Hey i killed a boss.
Hey i killed the same boss again.
Hey i have to continue like this only 50 times to get 1 armor for 1 character.
Isnt that funny.
I love it.
I´d like the old rewards back, that would help to equip my necro
Finally we can exploit our way without any fear of Belka
We always were afraid to die
Thank you Anet
(Attention: This post may contain sarcasm)
Thats how programming works
Level 1: If the code compiles its working
Level 2: If the code does what it should do its awesome
Level 3: …
Anet is at Level 1

Use Sigil of Energy on both weaponsets and you can also use a food which gives you +40% endurance regeneration (dont know the name, just search on guildwiki). That way you should have enought endurance.
Do you melee or range lupi? If you can dodge his kicks and swipes melee is easier.
100% l2p issue, once you know how to reproduce fumbles you can avoid them 100% of the time, im a noob, so i still fumble 0.2% of my dodges (no irony)
its the answer to all that crying “everything is too easy”, so anet introduced fumble dodges, wait till they implement “every second hit cant be reflected/absorbed with reflection/absorb skills”
it´ll be fun, learn how to count your reflected attacks (may contain some irony, who knows)

Why use ranged weapons if you also can melee him from a safespot?
Why should anyone use ranged weapons in this game?
Well, you removed Experimental Rifles that was a good start, but we can still do all jumps with Warrior (Sword), Guardian (Greatsword), Elementalist (Lighning Hammer), Engineer (Rifle) and some jumps with Ranger (Sword/Greatsword).
The only way to really fix this skip is to let Alphard (P2) and Jotun Stargazer (P1) only spawn if you have already killed Lupicus (or make them friendly as long as you havent killed Lupicus).
I guess what they want to say is, that they dont want us to use the lfg tool for advertising dungeon rushes, but selling rushes is ok, as long as we dont use the lfg tool ( a lot of sellers tend to spam on gw2lfg.com, my guess is they dont want this kind of spam in the lfg tool)
Cof p2 solo has already been done (5 or 6 month ago and as far as i remember it was legit without bugs or exploits), but that was when you could kite the event before the boss, now you have to kill assasins and trashmobs, bomb part is not the problem
(edited by Alex.9106)
Please fix this, its a legendary,
1. When you draw the Weapon there is no burst effect, like when you draw Sunrise or Twilight
2. When you use a skill that would show Twilight or Sunrise (for example warrior downstate you throw sunrise or twilight, but not eternity)
Yeah, killing hunter before crusher is incomprehensible for most pugs, i guess im a noob who should take a range weapon
I have send you a pm with the link, sorry that i dont have enought time for a better video
Im talking about the Rotten Armada Waypoint.
Once you killed Agent Belka and the Berserker Abomination you can use jumps/glitchs to get on the walls of the arena around Lupicus. From there you can run the normal way to the Rotten Armada Waypoint and kill Alphard+Brie.
The Pantheon Waypoint doesnt even activate this way (and you dont have to activate it, you get full reward for the path)
My Suggestion would be, that you turn Alphard friendly as long as Lupicus isnt dead.
Invisible walls wont fix the problem, because there are many different ways to jump/glitch in Arah, i guess you cant fix them all.
If you need more details, i could make a video, but as far as i know its against the forum rules to post links to videos that show exploits/bugs
/Edit: Yes, i did it recently. After the last update i tried it to see if they fixxed i, but it still works
(edited by Alex.9106)
In Arah P2 you can skip Lupicus, just get the waypoint behind him and continue with the path. This is known for a long time now and still not fixxed…
Please fix it already
