The key has never worked well. Been using it since release and it 99% time targeted something other than the guy in my face, often some neutral (yellow) bird passing 10ft behind. I found if you pressed it a couple of times you did get the nearest on 2nd or 3rd go, and had got in the habit of always clicking that mouse button twice before even considering an attack.
Then they add this priority targeting to it, on purpose. So is now completely broken. If you are anywhere in the vicinity of one of the programmed priority targets it refuses to target anything actually near you. I really wish there was some way to turn that off as it makes playing much harder.
The hotkey should be named to “target something nearby but not actually nearest, unless there is a priority target in the vicinity in which case target that no, regardless of what is in your face attacking you”

Last night I got ToTs and achieve but no mask. Saw the announced bug fix so went back today. Just finished, opened chest and again no mask. Despite update notes I’d say this isn’t fixed yet.
Also having problems on Gandara.
The cave JP in LA (Urmaug) will not register, it always used to.
The pirate one has registered ok for me though.
Yesterday was the first time since release that I managed to get in the home map, where there is the organisation needed to have any chance to win. Having got that spot I then spent most of the evening idling around as it took 3 attempts to get all achieves (win was 2nd attempt) and you dare not leave map between fights as you will not get back in. I had guildies trying to join me in the instance all evening but they could not get in.
Any attempt to just map in when event is due puts you in an overflow, and they don’t get anywhere at all. Hanging around after an event does not offer you home map transfer due to all the folks doing what I had to do and staying in that home map for next try. So I don’t see any point in ever trying Teq again unless I want to give up another Saturday afternoon to waiting around until I get in and then waiting around for the win event.
The rewards I got are no better than I get from any other boss event or champ farming, so I really can’t imagine wasting that much time again just to get a couple of rares and some champ bags. If there was a guaranteed worthy reward I would understand why folks might want to repeat, but with average loot only the time investment needed is too large. The loot may seem reasonable if considering it as a 15minute event, but it doesn’t allow for the hours spent trying to get in, waiting around, failing, till the win eventually comes.
I did really enjoy winning at least once. It was good to be part of that experience of so many coming together to achieve it. It felt good to be in that achievement. But that’s done now, won’t feel that good after the first time.
tl;dr – The lack of worthy rewards means I won’t be spending all those hours of time investment needed to get another win.

Is just such a shame that all those players that cannot get in to the well organised home map can’t get a chance to do so also :/

The lag in LA overflows is so bad I can take 30 seconds between hitting a piƱata and it exploding.
And after about 3 they stop responding altogether and have to reboot client.
Is a nightmare :/
Test Krewe from GW1 was closed down when GW2 was released.
There was no automatic move over to GW2 testing for any of us.
GW2 testing is a very separate thing, which after 7 years as an Alpha/Beta/Test Krewe volunteer for GW1 I chose to decline in favour of just playing.
Same here. Can no longer target him or do any damage.
No gems dropping anymore.
When he opens his mouth you can target him but cannot hit him (miss, miss, miss).
So after using up many many lives trying to work summat out we had no choice but to quit.
Frustrating
Ahh… that’s what I came for too. Wanted to report that the Living Story instances I go in to usually have no way out. Hadn’t realised it was something spread to many other instances too, thought they’d just missed it on the new ones.
I noticed this on several characters. Happens on normal loot of dead bodies.
Happens on boss chests. Happens on refugees that we collect the trinkets from. Can’t put a pattern to it yet. Has happened on first approach, not only if I move away and back. Though happens if I move away and back as well sometimes. Hasn’t always been another lower priority prompt hiding it either, can be a body in the open with the sparkle coming off it and I walk up and no Search prompt, but hitting F loots as normal.
Just having to watch the mouse curser and the sparkles a lot closer at the momrnt :/

From the first time a shadow crossed the ground the build up to The Shatterer was awesome. The shadow that you can’t quite catch. The roar that has you looking the right way, then the glimpse of the shape in the clouds. When he eventually landed and didn’t fit on my screen was a “wow!” moment. I think this was all excellently done.
Old “Tequila” doesn’t have quite the same build up, but still a great moment if you are in the right place to see him land on that hill then jump down into the fight.
I like the regularity as it ensures everyone gets a chance to experiene the event once they find them, rather than missing out due to simple bad luck of not being around.
The fights may become repetitive if you repeat them many times, but surely that is not avoidable if you repeat them often (done both about half dozen times meself). And the issue with folks not seeing any reward must be frustrating (always been lucky enough to get them myself – for these events anyway).
So while I’ll always welcome improvement I didn’t want this thread to pass without some well earned positive feedback too.
Try moving a ways away from him, then back. There’s a rare bug where he’ll think no players are around even though you’re standing right next to him. I believe a fix is slated for the 9/24 update.
Oh please please get it in. So frustrating not being able to finish the story after all these weeks, afraid of wasting more time on failed attempts. I look forward to seeing the update notes saying mission fixed!

Gah – wish there was something you could do in-game to stop us wasting time trying missions that are broken. I just hit this same problem trying to play it myself. Do we really have to keep coming and searching the forum for every mission before we try it? Is hugely frustrating to spend time trying to play these missions only to find you can’t finish anyway because of known bugs :/
Just to add some detail to the “log in to GW1” solution, cos it does really work. However, my guild was playing GW1 the Friday night before GW2 early start Saturday (retro night in honour of us not likely doing so again for some time). Despite that, when I logged in to GW2 and went to the Hero tab “Hall of Monuments” it was empty (though I am 50/50). The Dev advice posted on various forums at the time said log out of GW2, log in GW1, log out GW1, log in GW2. I did that and it was fixed.
This also fixed the issue for many of my guild mates.
So, I don’t think it is just about having logged in GW1 during previous months but logging in to GW1 now that GW2 is live that fixes this for many people.
Managed to get back in now, but it thinks I am “not in a guild” (as usual when you log in during peal times) and has rolled back about 30 minutes of play prior to the crash. (so off I go to map my way to that dungeon again :/)
Have ya tried moving your guild tab to the left of your screen. There is a bug (and other threads) affecting many folks (including me) where it only shows up in the left portion of the screen.

Not quite that simple I think Al Zheimer.
I find that if I swap slot 1 Bear “Fozzie” for an un-named other it shows as Juvenile xxxxxx. When I bring Fozzie back his name is there. So it does not behave like the slot is named in all cases.
I have also found that if I swap Fozzie to slot 2 it forgets his name.
I have also found that if I have Fozzie active and tame a new pet and chose to use it now (that option you get after every tame) the new pet gets named Fozzie and the bear is back to Juvenile xxxx when I load him back in to slot 1.
It is very inconsistent, and certainly isn’t doing what we’d all expect i.e. keep a name with a pet regardless of where you move them around.

I have bugged this in game. Is intermittent, but most of the time it does not work. Does not work for pet either if you have the trait for them to have an openeing strike. I find other traits also don’t work consistently, e.g. protection on dodge roll. Been submitting bug reports each time they stop.
Mine also did not reset at start of September, so I was also wondering if it is waiting for a month from start. Would be good to get an offiicial response on how this mechanic is supposed to work, are we broken?
The Survivor bug that I see consistently is that my Monthly achievement is maxed at 100k without death but my Lifetime achievement has never moved from 0.
