There are players who are already glitching the infinite animation especially warrior and wielding a great chainsaw can cause verbal distress to the ear, more so than a high octave choir bell. Perhaps, the poster above will like to contribute to the discussion in an adult manner instead of trolling me with nothing much to say.
yes my clones behaves like that, there is a slight second of dawn like great sword with the glowing white/orange before changing to twilight. Not complaining.
So this person was bugging bottling or something its not like they won them the keep but still its something worth pointing out. We still lost the keep just the same but if this is used for real i think it may be something that would be out right game braking.
Only been on CD for a few weeks, but over the time I’ve been in the forums the guild redt has been known to hack there way into anything. They are no way associated with the community of CD. It’s just there is a small guild of them that this is what they like to do. Report them as much as possible, but until arena net actually does something about, there is nothing anyone can really do.
can i report people with chainsaw skin. The noise from the weapon is irritating as hell. can i report warrior that keeps going ‘for great justice’, ‘shake it off’ every 25s. irritating as hell.
Oh btw does this means I can now start reporting people using great chainsaw skins as verbal abuse. I find the engine sounds to be highly irritating, disturbing and abusing to my ears. Will I get banned for reporting people with great chainsaw skins now? Talk about double standard.
Entangle should work on the same plane. it’s ridiculous to cast entangle at the bottom of the tower and having people on top of the tower getting entangled.

Hello Anet hello! Wtf? Anyone in there? This makes no sense.
In all honestly I actually believe this is intentional. Its a huge problem and everyone agrees its wrong but it happens everyday on every champ I kill. Nothing. Its to the point where I now aviod them at all costs.
I don’t use healing spring. Troll unguent is much better at keeping both me and my pet up and in the fight. Rangers often forget about their pets, but pets can be extremely helpful. Healing spring is absolutely terrible at keeping your pet alive, even if your pet is standing in it.
I have different experiences with Healing Spring. Especially if you take the trait which makes your pet gain all the boons you get, Healing Spring becomes simply the best at healing your pet.
troll heals more. even if you stand in the spring for full duration.
If you’re going solo. Maybe.
In a team based activity like fractals. You’re forgetting about the combo field it provides. Nothing can out heal healing spring when it is being spammed with blast finishers.
Nope troll heals more. Period. You just want the ranger healing spring to heal you cause you can’t keep your health up.
So many people complaining about thieves must mean that something is not right
Considering every single game that has a stealth/cloaking ability. People complain that it is ‘unfair’ and ‘overpowered’. I think it is normal.
But I do see a trend of people complaining about a class they perceived to be overpowered. Yet… not play it out of some sort of ‘noble’ stance? If you think a class is god mode. Stop complaining and play it.
Thief is my main. I enjoyed it the moment I tried it out on a BWE and it was my first character of day one head start. I enjoy playing the class. But if people are intent of ‘nerfing it to the ground’ and elevating another class. Well, guess what? I have 2 other 80s and plenty of character slots. It’s not like I cannot play another class that is perceived to be ‘flavor of the month’ since all your progress is account based rather than character based. Saves a lot of pointless complaining and instead can continue on playing the game.
ps. my condition trap ranger eats thieves for breakfast. Especially backstab thieves. Lay traps. Get instant feed back upon the thief’s position. Profit.

I was banned for profanity because I snapped after 10 mins or so at a group member that was harassing the whole group (apart from his friend) in fotm. Yes it probably wasn’t the right thing to do but hey everyone has a limit.

Besides I’m not that dumb to not leave some nice message on party chat to show in chat log that 1) i’m participating 2) i’m helpful and kind 3) i’m respectful by saying ‘its ok bro, we can get this boss next time’ then come the 2nd boss woops i went afk for 30 minutes came back and type ‘oh kitten, my dog ran out of the street and got hit by a car’ there I have all the evidences i need to show that I’m not doing it on purpose. Things happen =P I can think of more excuses and scenario.
I can bring a friend to participate in this setup too. He playing real bad, I start to criticize his playstyle but bearing in mind we don’t use any foul language. We make scene so unbearable that maybe the other players will join in and start insulting the other guy. hey I can just ask my mate to claim that he is using full MF% gear and keep linking fake loots he got from corpse and then we keep wiping that should push some buttons and when some start swearing, my mate and I can just start reporting. In terms of black and white, we have both done nothing wrong. Think about it.

Trying to get some kind of support from anet / ncfail on this issue proved to be pointless and non existent.
Oops that person could be me, I’ve been resorting to trolling in FoTM wiping people and going afk when they called for ‘wipe’ just to prove a point that Anet way of being moral in this game is hilarious. But of course, I didn’t do it intentionally ok, I had my party chat turned off so I have no idea what was goign on, and when I went afk it’s because erm my daughter fell down the stairs and I went to check up on her and I just never came back and when i did came back and see all the profanity I just gotta report. Hehehe.

Nah, people just need to read code of conduct. It’s their decision to swear and Anet is just facilitating this. I have done nothing wrong, the one who curse are the one in the wrong. I just hit the report button, Anet is the one responsible in getting them suspended. I am not the one who is punishing people in-game, Anet is. I’m just educating people in a manner that best get the message across. I can’t be blamed if the other player doesn’t know any better (in this case most of the people don’t).

You’re absolutely spot on! This is the problem I have with Anet. They rewards the trolls and punish the not so innocent party. And when they do suspend you, they don’t give you the exact phrase in which you were banned for. They don’t tell you whether the other party (like in your case) were suspended as well.
It does seem that the first person to use the report always win. And the one who is smart enough or have read the code of conduct or the one who can mask their insult in appropriate languages can bait someone into 72 hours of suspension. It’s really that simple and I pray to god and hope Anet doesn’t change it until more people get to experience this fun game of actual grieving. In-game grieving is child play, actual 72 hours suspension is better.

Not really. He’s making it sound like all you see is thieves everywhere in WvWvW. This game is far from being “over run” by thieves. This constant crying about them is really getting old.
But it’s true though, I came across a guild the other day that specifically run in groups of thieves. Can’t remember the tag but it was a band of thieves. Can you imagine the fear of a single player accidentally bumped into not one thieves but a group of 5 to 8 of them! Fear!
However, you have to report people or nothing will change, and you won’t get banned immediately so it may take a few reports at least for before action will be taken.

Back then, they took 3-4 weeks to actually work on a support ticket, but you got 72hrs ban for a single wrong word in less than 4 hours.
Yep, the work faster when it comes to banning people for inappropriate language. So the best way to grief another player is not to taking screenshots or sending them to exploit. it’s to get the other player to spew profanity, report them and they get suspended 72 hours. It does works especially in WvWvW where temper flies and emotion gets the better side of a player. That’s how you get an enemy commander in WvWvW suspended for 3 days. Easily done.
Yet another thief rage thread. Go make yourself a thief and start becoming one of these gods you hate so much. Two things are going to happen when you do.
1- Your going to find out just how hard it is to actually pull off what they are using to kill you.
2- Your going to learn how to counter thieves.
I play a thief. First toon was a thief and I learned the game through one. I know them backwards and forwards now. Because of this when I see one I know just what it takes to kill them and how to shut them down. There are so many members in my guild with level 80 thieves who don’t ever use them because if you know how they work you know how to counter them with any class.

Stop crying about this class. The culling problem isn’t just thieves and although exploitable by them doesn’t mean the class itself is broken. The class is balanced and you just need to learn the game.

Is it true that until today, THIEF is the ONLY profession in Guild Wars 2 that dev are still asking for feedback from the community on how to change/improve it?
I can understand you getting banned if you swear directly at someone and they take offense and report you. If I got banned for that (not that I intend to) I wouldn’t argue as that is breaking the RoC. Aye, if it was a slip of an otherwise cool demeanor it would be a bit of a pain, but them’s the breaks.
What I was talking about was just swearing in conversation. However, from the replies here it seems that being banned for that is highly unlikely.

You can. The most important thing is whether anyone report you. If you swear with your mate in your private message chat and he is fine with it, then you’re fine. But if he wants to report you just to say maybe test how crude Anet handles profanity then you’ll get banned. Likewise, if you are in the guild chat and you start swearing to your friends in guild but if there is someone in the guild chat who doesn’t like what you type, he report you and Anet investigate by reading the chat log (without any understanding or whatsoever of the context) you’re banned. Never mind that you guys were joking on TS and the other guy didn’t have a mike so he typed in guild chat. That’s a ban. It’s ridiculous yes.
The people that are left in the game are those who still like doing what they are currently doing, but it’s true that the world does feel a little empty nowadays. It wasn’t as thriving as it used to be.
There is just no incentive to do dynamic events at lower level. Hell, even right now in orr, people selectively choose the dynamic events that spawns many mobs / loots. Otherwise, people just tag some mobs and run away expecting others to complete the DE for them.

Trolling is easy in any game. Difference is, here it’ll get you banned. You can’t make people do anything, including swear. If they choose to swear at you, they have to bear the consequences, and when the staff reviews the logs that you reported, they’ll see that you were trolling and suspend you too.
No. The one trolling won’t get banned. it’s the one who respond to the troll without reading the code of conduct will get ban. There are many ways of trolling without registering it on a chat log. The other day I went to every map and ask people ‘anyone know the ori node location, even when that map clearly doesn’t have any’ and as usual some people took the bait and responded, reported them, not sure whether they were banned or not. But it’s just a very simple example of how easy it is.
Wow, so your admitting here that you where purposly engaging in griefing of other players by attampting to get thier accounts banned? This is a perfect example of the worst kind of player and the reason there are so many problems in online games. We all know you have been advising others to make support’s job as difficult as possible with as many reports as possible, but this just takes the cake. Did you ever once think it might be better to be part of the solution instead of being the problem incarnate?
Just remember, filing false reports can lead to your account being banned as well, which after this, may be the best thing for all the other players in the game.

pve mob attack slower and most of the time your confusion debuff wears off before they attack. and even if the pve mob attack within the duration of your debuff the damage it does is just as much as your auto attack skill most of the time.

Can we report NPC for being offensive and inappropriate, like with how all the racial slur is being thrown at the sylvari – salad, house plant and etc. Why are such languages considered humor and acceptable so does it mean it’s ok for me as a player to go around and insult another sylvari player as salad? You better not ban me for that.

Ideally, this is how it should be. Everyone who argues against swearing (in general) should do this. The law applies to all, correct, unless you do admit for having double standards? So yea, if you’re gonna report based on ToA’s stance on profanity alone, everyone who says “kitten” regardless of context SHOULD be reported. But that is just so tedious and silly. Actually, Anet should just automatically ban players without the need for another player to report them. Right now, it’s just a kitten game of whichever kitten report first and whichever kitten gets to bait the others into typing some wonderful language in chat log.
