After 5 years of nothing, someone in this sub-forum still have expectations for wvw?
You guys must be very fresh in wvw/wvw forum.

Great idea, let’s buy gems to sponsor even greater spvp reward, this year 200,000$ next year 400,000$.
We can do it…

Imagine if they had such a lag at sPvP.
There would be 20 defs working 24/7 to fix it asap.

I’m also color blind, so i always Ctrl+T my commander, right now i’m following the shape not the color, some people are angry at me because of this.
Sometime it’s very hard for color blind people to follow the leader in big fights, so…

All the pvers, pvers who only play wvw on friday night, with the only hope for profitable karma train.

You know what’s better, people, who repairing the sieges should be immune to dmg.
Who cares about fighting, wvw is about taking sruff and hold it, we should take out keeps/towers/camps and stay there all day every day till the next reset, wvw is pve after all. Right?

I could be wrong but I think this necro skill removes all stability stacks at once.

To all who defend DBL, let me ask you something, why there is 100+ man queue for EBG and no queue for DBL, even after the changes?
And please dont start with “people dont know the map”, because i spent 2 days on DBL this week, and still annoying me as much as before. If the map is so awesome how come the majority of the WvW players still queue only for EBG and they are ready to wait hours but not to play the new map?
In my humble opinion, no matter what Anet will make / remake with this map it will never be fit for WvW.
But hey, what do I know, I’m just a WvW player.

We’ve avoided adding this feature because we don’t believe it would be healthy for WvW. While we can appreciate why some players would want a feature like this, lots of other players only engage in WvW when, upon entering a WvW map, immediately see a commander icon to follow. We try and avoid adding features that can be used to intentionally exclude other players.

You knew Golem week wouldn’t be healthy for WvW, but you still add it, you knew / we told you that the new map won’t be healthy for WvW, but hey, we have a new map.

+ they add a new class that can hit you for 18k with 3100 armor, skill with almost no cooldown … brainless.

You guys obviously don’t know who Enns is, coz if you do know, you wouldn’t say that he knew nothing about WvW and he only speaks about GvG.

I do believe, they asked you not to follow them, but i don’t believe they asked you to leave the map, i’m from wvw guild, and we ask people not to follow us and not to interfere our fights, all the time, but we absolutely never ever asked people to leave the map and i never heard a guilds to tell anyone to leave the map.
This is the first time, for 3 years, when I hear something like this

What you don’t like, seems to me to be what most posters were asking for in the CDI. I didn’t like the maps at first, but once I got into some larger battles, and did a little roaming as well, I found them to be quit nice.

Please, show me where and in which CDI, WvW players asked for PvE map.

WvW was lackluster and broken in a lot of ways. I’ve been waiting for them to fix it for 3 years. Now they’ve finally fixed it and the people who got used to the old way are upset that they are no longer super knowledgeable about it. It happens in every major change to every game.

I couldn’t be happier with the changes so far. They are what convinced me to buy the expansion in the first place.

I may be wrong, but i think, this map was never meant to be a wvw map, i think, this map was designed to be pve map, at some point they give up this idea and this map has been left on the side.
And when they decided to launch the expansion, this map was quickly redesigned to be the new WvW BL.

I have been play a lot of MMOs over the years, and i can tell for sure – this new BL map its the best dungeon i have ever seen.
After the normal dungeon nerf, all PvErs should come to the new Desert borderlands map, is the perfect place for them, but its nothing even close to what we / WvW ONLY players / asked for.
Sadly, no matter what we do, or say, this map its here to stay, for very, very long time.
After 3 years, i realise that posting here, no matter what, good or bad, its all the same, Anet will never listen, they will always do whatever they think its good for us, whether we likes it or not.
You, guys just can ignore this part from the forum from now on, because nothing its going to change.

It seems clear at this point that moving reset to Saturday is non-negotiable for the time being. While this may upset many people, I think this is one of those times where we need to cut Anet some slack. They are pushing out their first expansion and want as many developers to be available as possible during the weeks post-launch to fix the inevitable series of bugs and exploits that come with any new content.

Is it a major inconvenience to some, yes. Is this the end of WvW, absolutely not. The sky is not falling people; the game will still run all seven days, whether you give up on some of them as “karma train days” or not. And as was stated, it may only be temporary.

Also, to those stating that this is a terrible change because of even more bloated queues, you do realize you are making a case FOR Anet to do this right? The idea of readjusting the server population caps was to spread people out and long queues would do just that.

I have been in every single reset since day one of this game, from now on i’ll never see any reset, because at 12 CEST i’m still at work.
I’m speechless, idk what to say right now.

Probably at some point, some Dev gonna pop up here to tell us all, that they are not ready to talk about it, and lock the trend.
And I will not be surprised if they ban half of us, just because they can.

What amazes me most is that no one will come and explain why, once again they show how much they do not care about WvW, how less they know about WvW, from 23.10 WvW weekends will be the most boring part of the game.
On Saturday i work half day from 8 till 12.30 and i still think this is a very very bad idea, but hey Anet cares about our fun, right?
I’m getting more and more certain that i wont buy this HoT x-pac, looks like there is nothing good there for me as a WvW player.

Another brilliant idea from Anet, these guys do not have brakes. I think that hired special group of people, and the only task of these people is to do so WvW disappear naturally.
I keep asking myself, why they hate us so much?

Something we should have from the beginning, it took only three years for something so simple, they would never place a such improvement only for WvW, but PvE, this is another thing.

Go check Rev traits. Rev can be build to be better Guardian then any real Guardian, with the right gear set Rev will be more useful.
Basically, Anet sacrifice Guardian to find spot for the Revenant, alot of the skills and traits they give to the Rev should be given to the Guardian long time ago.

Just the opposite, LB have no use at wvw, except maybe for roaming, but even there LB will fail.
And dont forget, LB was the weapon you guys have been asking for the pass 2-3 year, LB for guardian its a very very bad idea, trying to push pure melee class to be long range class its just wrong, and wvw will become even more boring.
Guardian with LB its against the nature of this class.

Promises, promises, promises. Like i have deja vu, how many times it now Anet gave us these empty promises. If this time is for real, when these promises will become reality? With this expansion? Or sometime in the indefinite future? My guess is, not with this expansion. I believe that this is your way to make WvW players to buy your new product, and if you succeed for very long period of time will not hear anything from you or if we hear something will sound like this: “soon”, “working on it”, “we cant talk about it, yet”, “in the near future” – in the near future that never comes.
Sorry if this sounds harsh, but put your self in our place, you would believe after three years of silence and empty and unfulfilled promises?

I PvE only when im waiting on queue for WvW /i dont do EOTM/, WvW its the only reason i still have GW2 installed on my PC.
Sadly the new coming map, gonna kill the last wish i have left to play this game, if they dont rework this new Desert Borderland, they gonna lost alot of players, none of WvW players wanted a map that is mix between EOTM and Huge dungeon.
Desert Borderland is the perfect map for casual PVE lovers.
WvW for WvW players.

what does the WP have to do with anything?

You have to be inside the keep to do these few easy jumps, WP shows you that the keep wasn’t recently flipped, and that mesmer is not someone whos just hide inside after the fight its over, so there is no legal way to get up there.
