My friend couldn’t log onto Guildwars2 this morning and after trying and resetting everything, she deleted the game with intention of reinstalling the client. However now she is having an error and can’t even reinstall that. what can we do?

Everything and everyone is running extremely high Condition or Glass cannon builds. The amount of damage/scaling of power and condition damage needs to be adjusted. Currently It is whoever gets the burst off first.

After ANET coming forward and being very specific to how the future of expansions will be handled and the addition of a character slot I can say that I am content.
Because of these changes I have Prepurchased HOT and plan to recommend it to my guild members and close friends.

I’ve prepurchased the HOT expansion now that the deal seems to be better for veteran players such as myself. I purchased it for my main account. I was wondering when will an extra charecter slot show itself now so I can try playing the betas in the future?

until anet publicly apologizes for their shady practices I have ceased buying gems and will not log in. I have found other things to do it with my money and time until/ if they ever want me back
I never said trion was the developer of archeage. They were however, the Publisher. The face of the company. It was their own fault.
How the kitten was it their fault? The developers controlled all that. Trion just hosted the game in the west.
The lack of communication with the players, Scapes (community leader) lieing to the players and getting caught wall all Trion.

This whole situation reminds me of how Trion tried to kitten their playerbase with archeage with false promises and lying to the community. Guess what happened?
They got caught and now archeage is dead within 6 months of release and Trions company reputation is forever smeared for trying to pull the covers over the heads of their players
but if they are under the gun from ncsoft, that wouldn’t be good for them….so we have to respect their price line in consideration for their well being and operating expenses. I highly doubt they would come flat out and say it that way. I’m simply giving them the benefit of the doubt.
it does us no good to get a price reduction and then have ncsoft announce next year they have to shut it down because it isn’t a sustainable business model.
Guildwars1 server are still running. I don’t think it would be an issue.
People who are upset are in-love with the game. Perhaps you are mistaking Passion and admiration for something else.
People are mad because ANET lied to new players by having them purchase The base game later changing the FAQ to say “HOT will include the base game”
These players now have to pay $50.00 for a game they bought a few months ago in preparation for HOT.
Some people are able to get a refund because of this but this also means a wipe of all the progress from 1-3 months in advance.
It was a shady dealing. That is a fact.
also $50.00 USD for this “x pac” is not worth it.
We will be getting specilizations (non-elite), a new WvW map, a new pvp mode, some new masteries, without needing to purchase HOT.
What does that leave HOT? Living story (Lelelelel), a new class, and 3 maps, and guild halls?
Guild halls should of already been included in the base game (GUILD wars)
I have over 5000 hours from the base game from over 3 years, will i get another 5000 hours from the same price?
Also not including a character slot for $50.00 was a kittenbag move because many players are relying on that slot for Rev.

After playing this game since Launch, I have to say that outside of a few friends this game has the worst community I’ve ever had the misfortune of meeting/playing with/ gotten to know. I’ve played many games over the years but this game takes the cake for Saltiest Players. The community is toxic. If you try to do events you get spammed and harassed to not complete the events because people are trying to farm the failed events. If you pvp and are just trying to have a fun time in unranked people give you kitten if you aren’t running meta builds because ‘… only effective and efficient builds you can play. playing anything else will hurt your team…’
I’m sick of people reporting me for doing events the correct way. Granted nothing ever comes of this.
If you get a cool item and ping it like I did to my group of friends and say chat, the salt…. Its as potent as diving head first into the dead sea.
The community in this game is immature, racist, a disgusting bunch of the worst people I’ve ever seen.

Aside from from my guild that has all my friends in it, I will no longer be playing with this toxic community. Either Better moderation or a rule against griefing and harassment needs to be put in place before I return to a community.

You’re complaining that there are more premades?? Oh lord save this community! We’re supposed to ENCOURAGE party play. Sheesh how else is this supposed to get more competitive.
Agreed, teamwork and communication are such a large aspect of PvP in this game. If a larger proportion of the playerbase is starting to form pre-made groups then that’s fantastic news.
Also, I’d wager that most premades are not PvP teams. Rather they are guildies that are just doing some daily PvP together with or without TS. I personally queue 5-man with my guild once we’re tired of running dungeons and we’re very often matched with other full guild groups, so the system appears to at least try to match based on group size.
So let there be a place for premades.IN A kittenING TEAM QUEUE. Let solo players play by them selves if we want. IN A kittenING SOLO QUEUE
Bring back Solo Queue. Its kittening bullkitten that a group of pugs has to fight an organized guild. If you wont bring back solo queue at least force them into HotJoin custom maps (to practice privately with other guild/themselves) or into Ranked even if there is more then 1. Give Solo players a place to have at least a fair chance.
I am getting really sick of farmed by premade teams when I am stuck on pug teams. They need a solo queue. No more teams. bring back random arenas from guildwars 1 or force anyone grouped to Play in ranked.
Abusing the report function and falsely reporting people will result in a ban/temp-ban on your account.
As far as I know, The Trick or Treat candy corn elemental farm uses maiz balms on ambient creatures to farm. However killing ambient creatures is not a reportable offense. Also there are renowned hearts that require the killing of these ambient creatures. So, Don’t Trick or Treat farm unless you can deal with people killing ambient creatures.
I wish I took a screen shot but I got hit by a 6k spinal Shiver. 1.5k necrotic grasp 1.3k Air 1k fire and then another air for 1k…. the other air I think he was running runes of air maybe? Im not sure. they were consecutive
the part that annoys me the most is there is no counterplay to it.
This is out of hand, Im not even playing a full zerker set up and i got hit with nearly 10k damage from 1 auto attack on staff.
I don’t post very often but, I normally pvp as a thief in Ranked queue. I noticed that there is a reveal now when I haven’t even attacked. I know that I havent been hit by skills such as Sick’em or goggles. Is this a bug? It is destroying my build. Also the pulsing effect on Shadow refuge seems to be broken.
I literally can not play any stealth in pvp, It has destroyed the entirety of my build.
if you ran DPS you could of cut those times down by 20% respectively
What is going on with these runes? they were worthless 2 days ago and no they are 10silver? I was gonna put in an offer for 2.5 s each. is there a way to use these runes?
@Kharr, I have lots of cond removal on my mesmer… they also have alot of Active defencewhich is frankly alot better then passive defence such as Feedback, Distortion, reflects, Stealth. Do I need to play a shutdown mesmer just to deal with other mesmers lol -.-
I have tried fighting mesmers on multiple classes but no matter how much I try, I do not get anywhere close to killing most. I’ve played mesmer so i understand the fundamentals. Personally I’ve never thought this class very hard to play and When I do PvP with it, usually I destroy most people without a sweat. However I do not know how to counter them.
PU mesmers I just run from because there is no point in fighting them, you won’t win
Shatter mesmers are hit or miss, It could go either way.
I am able to find the actual target and stay on them very easily. Locating the actual mesmer isn’t hard for me It just seems that they shut me down on every class I play. Any tips to fighting them, Only thing I’ve noticed works effectivly well is playing necro and going lych form on them. That being said, in pvp I play Ranger, Necro, Engineer, Thief, Guardian, Mesmer, In that order.

1. Lack of arenas.
2. The AI hate stigma.
3. Poor AI design (Uselessness in team fights, too passive, not active enough, bad AI)
4. Terrible design of Necromancer.
5. Power creep.
6. How stats are handled. (IMO, in a perfect world all amulets would be 2 offensive stats and 1 defensive or 2 defensive and 1 offensive) Might stacking celestial, pure glass and pure bunk are all pretty meh to me. A nice middle ground would be peach.

If you read the MMR thread you will see that if your MMR improves you are teamed with worst ppl to play against the same ppl, instead of be teamed up with better ppl to play against better ppl O.o

I have been getting irate with the pug teams as of late fighting off points. I have seen entire teams chase down one person to loose the point. It upsets me because there is usually a huge score difference in my points and my teams. last game I was 185 the next closest on my team was 55.
I have come up with a solution for the problem.
reduce the amount of points of killing an enemy player from 5 (+10 defense) to
+2 for an enemy kill and +15 for a defense kill
This might encourage people to value holding points more and killing player in/around points rather then chasing them down.

Our damage is average? Our damage is amazing in full berzerker gear with Sword/focus.
Hell Even hammer can deal amazing damage despite being a CC weapon with Protection if traited for symbols. I can assist you with a Decent build for DPS if you wish, but calling us the weakest profession is far from the truth
They will give you experience for your mastery paths.
Will using these tombs progress my characters level. I planned on using them on my revenent . Im sure alot of people that took the time to pvp did as well.
Hello. My question is will Tomes of Knowledge (1 level) be changed after the release of HOT. Will it be converted into hero points like the Scroll of Knowledge (1 Skill point)
I’ve purchased many black lion chests over the last year and I get these often as well as pvping from rank 1-60 for the sole reason of just having these to create charecters as I see fit because I can not stand exploration or most PvE content.
TLDR:
Will my Tomes of Knowledge give me 1 level after the HOT release?
but we dont know what the content will be in HoT there could be content where you need 5 tanky players, 5 condi people 5 zerkers and if thats the case you will need to carry multiple sets to make sure you can provide what is needed in every occasion
Anet is pushing away from an all zerker meta (or atleast trying to) I doubt they are trying to bring a 5 tank meta or 5 condition meta. I think they are trying to Bring balance to the force and have each class/spec have its place.
Just to add. I carry a Full set of celestiel armor and Trinkets in my inventory at all times, It is a great Jack-of-all trades type armor but doesn’t excel at any. This is in addition to my full zerker gear.
If you have created 5 legendary weapons then you must be an experienced player. Then you should know that this game isn’t based off of what a single player can do and isn’t balanced that way. Carry what you play best in and group with people that cover your weak areas IE; I run a fractal as a guardian most of the time, I run full Berserker everything. Do I prefer everyone to run full zerker? yes. Do I expect it? No. So I make do with what the situation has given me. I Reallocate to a different more support based build if I noticed my team mates can’t stay up long enough in fights. No one is forcing you to carry 5 different armor sets. Only you are.
Go make 3 legendary weapons like I have. You can swap the stats all around.
Also No to giving armor the ability to stat swap. It is a huge gold sink and nullifying this effect would allow thousands of gold to remain in the economy, inflating our already inflated value of gold.
The only way Id be even slightly okay with the idea of Stat swapping on ascended is if they made Legendary weapons stronger then ascended with the ability to swap sigils in a sort of “sigil bank”
Also the introduction of Legendary armor, which they promised us ( thank kittening god) they would not do.
Hm I will just Grind cash it would seem, I mean I have shadow skins That I could sell right now for 500g. Is it worth selling my shadow skins right now or will they increase in value. I also have 3 shadow abyss dyes. Will those increase in price or is it better to just sell them off now?
