Same goes for random disconnects due to network error (on ANET’s end) at bossfight or in the middle of the zone. It would be nice, if at least we could get back into the instance and finish it and get the rewards.
Not everyone is so pro that he/she can farm tribulation mode for 10-15mins run each zone (even if you are a pro, disconnecting sucks big time).

Can confirm this. I’ve tried to kill them in Verdant Brink, Auric Basin, Tangled Depths and Bloodstone Fen.
Attacked them, the countdown started, and then event failed.

I know, that there is a warning, and I have tried that. With no success, thus tried it alone with better results.
Still, the point is, that the NPCs are still mostly doing nothing when you are dying, and at the flight session the shield does not protect you. Which means that it is still bugged.
In the fight with Mordremoth, when your character says: “Protect yourselves or go airborne!”, you cannot hide under the shield with the NPCs. You either take heavy damage and die or get launched in the air.
I was doing the Migraine achievement, unfortunatelly alone, but once (after tryin for hours) managed to take the boss down to 25%. Then I died thanks to the swarm of mobs.
Most of the time NPCs aren’t really helping. You can die happily 5 inches from them while they are doing nothing. Sometimes though one tries to res you if you happen to fall, but of course it won’t work, because Mordy will just knock him back and you die no matter what.
This fight is waaay too long, with no checkpoints whatsoever. If you are in a party, no option to ressurrect your teammates, one bad move and all of your hard work goest to waste.
If only after almost 1,5 years this instance would work as it was intended to work at least… but no.
After 2 days and about 10 hrs of trying I’m done with this garbage. That amulet and 10 AP doesn’t worth it at all.
I hope not in every game mode… many were hoping that you’ll change the watchknight tonic to work as the kodan tonic does/did (I mean the CD and that being endless, and not lasting for 5 mins only).

I’m missing the days when we had to decide from at least 2 options which way we chose. Yea, right, more resources needed etc…
(Also I’d like to slap him in the face, or make him play this out with Rytlock if he wouldn’t be taken to prison that is…)
I’m okay with the map, a tad bit less with some of the story instances (final boss encounter missing retry mote).
The crowded inventory because of course we have to have new stuff, which cannot go into bank is a bit irritating, but I can throw them out of my inventory.
If I’ve finished the story, and started over for some of the achievements, and surprise-surprise, my character forgets the recipe for the elixir —-— can’t get the warming stone from the heart vendor anymore, neither from the grawl. Upsetting.
But my main problem with the whole map, are quaggans. Crying, whining quaggans especially SE hotsrpings part of the map. Really, really annoying if you are playing with game sounds on. After 20-30 mins spent just exploring on the map, doing the jp, searching for chests and the dead quaggans, I’m ready to kill off all the quaggans in Tyria (pretty please, make this happen) —>"Quaggan is not dead?", plus add the “FoooOOOOOOooo, TaDaaaaaaaaa” kittened sounding voice acting to it from the griffon heart quest. I’m sorry, but this is just waaaay too much. I was neutral towards quaggans before this map came in, but now I hate them with passion.
All in all I’m going back to Ember Bay instead, the skritts are more entertaining – and at least not trying to be über-cute.
A certain level of cuteness has its place in a game, but this is just stupid. I have a choice if I want to aquire cute kittens for my home instance, but I’m forced to listen to kittened conversations with swimming cows on the map while doing events, exploring etc.

Yes, please, add the retry mote to this encounter. It is just really a pain to do the whole instance all over again – if it would be just 2-3 attempts, I wouldn’t mind it that much, but there is a high probability of failing the achievement.
Are you sure you aren’t talking about the Oontz’s necklace which contains an upgrade, not an infusion?
The OP is talking about the infusion, which worths around 2k gold on TP, meanwhile the upgrades from the neclace are under 100gold.
I don’t see this as a big deal. It’s totally simple, just have to accept that in Tyria every year contains 365 days.
Though there is a tiny contradiction here with the Brew of the Month thingy, since magically the 1st day of the new month in real is the same as in Tyria LOL.
If you look at it a bit differently, you have a few puzzles in the HoT maps though… Just think about figuring out how to get some mastery points, strongboxes, chests/splendid chests. Not all has to require jumping around.
If you are doing the puzzles for the reward, then there are several chests in both Auric Basin and Tangled Depths, that don’t require any keys to open them (similar to jp-end-chests).

I was sooooo waiting for this to happen. I didn’t buy the bundle either because I didn’t liked the other items linked with it. Then it was a huge disappointment for me :\
Now I can spend the rest of my gems without any regret, that I’d be missing out on something I want from the gemstore.

Cymbel (Fields of Ruin) is bugged on EU (ip: 206.127.146.126:0), you cannot talk to her (only ‘Greet’ is available). Unfortunatelly the map is never full, so new maps aren’t created. (Tried to guest to other servers but ended up on the same ip.) Sent in bug report via in-game tool too.
The event that’s required to be completed in order to gain her trust (and be able to talk with her) can’t be triggered.
Mind you, it is a bit annoying, that you have to talk to her several times during the journey, and each time you have to do that event to gain her ‘trust’.
We have the same issue with druids since the last patch. Really annoying, can’t seem to find a work around it.
Could we please get a dev response on this, are you aware of the state of CA and it’s uselessness especially in raiding environment – where it really matters – please?

There are mechanics you need to learn and adapt to in Fractals. Even with pugs, I have smooth runs on T4 on all of the mentioned Fractals, without dieing even once! 8/10 times I don’t have to repair my gear at all.
Any ETA on this fix, pls?
It is a very rare drop, also the person getting the item from Gerent, might not have enough gold to put it on the TP.
For the 10.000 gold offer, you need to have 1.500 gold just to be able to sell it.
(I wouldn’t risk asking for gold from friends or guild mates, as there is a chance of being flagged for sending/receiveng gold etc.)
A couple of egg sacs were sold on TP in the past few days though ^^
I’m just curious, what do you think would be the other way obtaining the legendary armor let’s say playing wvw?
Kill 1.000.000 players? Take SM 10.000 times? Do a specific reward track 5.000 times? (and that for each armor item.)
Since wvw-ers in general hate almost (if not) any form of PvE. What on Earth is the idea, that would make this legendary armor journey be in par with doing raids for several months and succeeding in it?
(Note: I’m not against the idea of obtaining the legendary armor and it’s precursor in other ways. But seriously, just by playing wvw and killing other players as usual, also depending on your server’s performance… I don’t know… That would bring up other problems aswel.)

Yes. Please do change the female charr and asura chest armor, to something more appropriate. If it means male chest armor piece, then be it.
I was waiting for the legendary armor to get in the game finally. Now we can see the precursor. Let me just say I am not impressed at all.
Maybe only the heavy armor looks something I would put on my heavy armor class characters, but the medium and especially the light female armor… please.
Bra on charr and asura? Seriously? I am most likely going to do the first collection. But there is no way I am going to invest the time and gold and dedication into making the legendary armor set if it will look similar to this “precursor”. It looks like a joke, a really bad joke. Not too much work was put into it, as it looks like human kitten-armor pulled on a charr and an asura. This is really sad. Are the people responsible for this at ANet trying to tell us, that our charrs and asuras not worth enough that you would make a reasonably good looking or at least acceptable legendary armor for them? No Legendary Armor for charrs and asura?!
I don’t understand the problem here? Finally we get some new events in Tyria for everyone, and now the problem is: it cannot be soloed?
Doesn’t matter what time you are encountering this legendary, if you say it on map chat, that a legendary mob spawned and even give the location, players will come and help.
If someone feels like it is too much, just simply walk away from that event/mob and leave it. 99,9% of PvE content can be soloed in Tyria if someone likes to fight alone in this huge world. Is interacting with players such a big problem though? o.O
Well thanks for the update Mike, I’m not happy about it. In fact, I’m pretty much upset about how things are going. I need a goal to play any game. Making legendary weapons was one of them. I’ve got Nevermore just right before Christmas, and now I have nothing to keep me going.
By now I’m not having fun in the living world. I’m bored with the open world content. Been playing core Tyria open world for years, and now thanks to the grind-fest for let’s say chak weapon set and the couple of others, I’m getting tired of it in HoT. It isn’t fun anymore.
I’d really like to see new playable content as in story, or the need to achieve something other than gathering collections… (I don’t know about others, but for example even if it was a grind back then, making MawdreyII was something I liked, kind of missing those days :S)
Yea, some elite specializations were great, some weren’t, and yea that was a huge chunk of HoT. The mastery system was a huge work, but (sadly) not something that makes me want to play the game. (Yea right, I like gliding in central Tyria, but seriously, I could do without it. I’m not playing GW2, because gliding is SOOOO much fun…)
All in all, I am dissapointed. And I’m not seeing myself pre-ordering the next ‘expansion’. Probably going to buy it at some point, when we will know what will be in it.
I guess it is time to move on, and log in just for the daily log-in rewards for months, when there will be something to play for. Like new fractals maybe (it’ll arrive in the near future? oh right… I’ll believe it when I see it), the ressurrection of www, the non-existend dungeons that you guys just want to shut down anyways (we’d still like 5 player content..), oh yea, almost forgot the LS3. Summer? really?…

Strange… I have more proplem with giant norn males in full heavy armor. -.-
What makes me more furious, is that sometimes you simply just can’t get into the JP, and you get thrown back to Divinity’s Reach. (Even when you just logged in after 12 hrs).
I can wait for presents to respawn and start jumping, what I cannot deal with are the invisible snowballs, that throw you off when you are almost at the end. I can try and estimate if the snowball just passed by or not, but the balls thrown by the skritts aren’t always landing in the same time before/after the giant snowball has passed.
About the Friend of the Owl Spirit collection item.
I hope ANet staff is really looking into this problem they have created (whoever is responsible for this, I don’t have nice words in my mind after 2 days and no luck, even at night). An option could be, that let’s say every xx:15, xx:45 the jormag minions event starts, and at every xx:00 and xx:30 the shaman and totem event-line.
Also, the svanir shaman should be invulnerable (similar to maw shaman), and should build that totem.
This way, players wouldn’t have to sit there for days, praying to gods, and trying to convince other (99% ignorant) players, that they need the event to fail, so another one could spawn which they need to finish (I’m sorry to say this) for a poorly designed collection. Until this point I really liked the vol.3 and vol.4 collections. But this… is making me mad. -.-
I’ve asked support about this issue, but they cannot grant the item from this event, since it is working properly, the event “just” needs to fail.
I can understand them.
I’m still hoping for a fix next tuesday on this, I would really like to finish this legendary before Xmas. But of course, probably the wintersday event will be more important.
I got Power over Barradin last night, though I was switching maps, looking for event start. Maybe the map you were on was bugged.
Only missing the Friend of the Owls – which is doomed due to it needs failed events to spawn other events in low level, populated area.
This still is the situation with the Friend of the Owl Spirit collection item. Still need failed events to do this.
Okay, so they are “looking into it” – for 7 days now. It has been a problem for 21 days?
I’m everything but pleased about this issue.
Some players just camp there. Who aren’t doing this collection, but just for the fun of it, saying things like: “Gimme 20g, or I’ll kill the shaman.” And then off he goes and ruins it.
I’ve been waiting there, seeing low lvl players also having fun – in 1 hour, you probably finished the heart that is near by, however the same players were messing with the event for quite some time now. I can’t help but guess that the reason behind it was to kitten off those who are trying to finish their collection. Kinda don’t think that only this event gives xp, or it would give higher xp compared to others in the zone.
Clap, clap, clap to ArenaNet and this “design”. Until this point, I finally enjoyed the collection – after the no brainer-money-sink-vol.2. Now I do not anymore.
I really hope you guys will put in a fix for this issue next tuesday. And for the future, just forget about the failed-event-needed-to-spawn-another-that-also-needs-to-fail-so-you-can-do-another-that-might-not-need-to-fail-so-you-get-what-you-were-waiting-here-for-the-last-48hrs, especially in starter zones.
Yea, I also believe that if you want to max out the masteries, you need all the mastery points from adventures aswel. I have all strongbox and regular mastery points, and it is nowhere near to being enough for maxing out the HoT mastery lines.
I’m kind of alright getting silver, but gold from all… some really looks impossible atm.

@Munch: I only had 3rd mastery done in the Legendary mastery line, currently working on the last. So far I was able to almost complete Nevermore Vol.1. – only this one is missing. But yea, I’m kinda glad, I wasn’t rushing to complete the whole mastery line too much, at least now I can finish it the casual way xD
I’m also dissapointed, that after all this waiting we are still delayed, and have obviously no idea what will we need to gather/buy to progress in the making. Looking at the other series 1 precursor collection bugs that are still not sorted out yet, I’ll be ‘happy’ if we can start properly working on Nevermore precursor next year. :S
I don’t have Ley-line gliding as of yet, and I’ve encountered a jumping puzzle in Auric Basin that it seems, requires it.
I couldn’t get to a mushroom with simple lean gliding, from where I could make my way up on the wall.
First I’d like to see the 3 promised. Howerver I cannot find Vol.1. at the vendor for neither of the new ones.
Some players told me in game, that I’d need Legendary mastery lvl 4 to be able to start making the first form of the new precursors. Say what? Is this true?

Considering this 3 shouldn’t be “upcoming” but in game already, I cannot seem to understand the need of this as lvl 4th mastery… uh, but okay, let’s say this is the case. So after countless hours of grinding xp for maxing out the legendary mastery tracks, I will only be able to see the first requirements for the first series of prec. crafting. Are you kidding me?! Why can’t they be crafted/aquired on similar terms as the 1st series of legendaries???
It also applies to the older maps, which weren’t part of the Tyria 100% map completion, such as Southsun Cove, Silver Wastes and Dry Top as far as I can remember.
My main has 100% map completion on Tyria, and of course I have fully discovered the above mentioned 3 maps.
Yesterday I fully discovered Southsun Cove with an alt character, I got map reward (hurray), but obviously, I didn’t get map reward with my main character, which had it explored years ago (and ye, back then there wasn’t reward for it – I’m guessing since it wasn’t part of Tyria 100% map compl. in the first place).
I’d really like to know, if this is intended ? will we get the map completion reward for the latter added 3 maps (and we are just not getting the reward due the same bug that blocks HoT completion map rewards), or we can just “forget about it”?
Because latter isn’t the correct solution, and I’ve been told by guildies, that we won’t get these rewards. If so, I’d like to know from ANet team: WHY? (Just add a few more point of interests whatsoever, and let everyone have it, it’s not like you haven’t modified PoI’s or Waypoints before in the core game by adding new ones.)

Yeah, you couldn’t interact with anything, except the adrenal mushrooms.
Same happened in our case with Canach. Then we tried with Caithe – however when we defeated the Blighted Pale Tree, and tried to activate the Reality Rift, nothing happened.
So stuck on that route too.

This debate AGAIN? We’ve been through this a few months before, when the pre-purchase prices first came out.

Oh right, the stronghold test – not interested, as many others either. What are we testing in the new zone? nerfed mobs? done.
Oh and some new professions… kinda hard to test in a not challenging environment.
As it is now, they could call the whole BWE3 off.
At least let us know in game, that it is turned off, you cannot test raid content, don’t wait there and try all day long.
Please, change the difficulty back to where it was. Now it is just a walk in the park.
If you have made it easier because there were some crying about them being hard, are you going to nerf the difficulty of upcoming raids too?!
This is lvl 80 content… at least make the mobs as hard as they are on Cursed Shore… This is not Queensdale!

I really, really hope that it will be 5 blooms/event participation. Otherwise thanks for nothing Anet… no chance that I’ll waste more of my time on this limited time event :S Too bad that after months without living world content, you guys managed to come out to live servers with only this.
I like the mob difficulty as it is now. Only had hard time first meeting the smokescales, later on if I happened to run into 3 of them in a bunch.
Just bring them on!
If you want to skip the mobs, you might try to run through them? obviously, when there is an event in that area, it won’t happen. But other than that I could run through mobs (dodge here and there, blink etc), then take the glider, or reach a bouncing mushroom. It takes some time to find the shortcuts, but they are there on the map.

Love the Reaper! only thing I can’t put anywhere, why he got shouts… IF only we’d have a new rune set, that could benefit from it, and wouldn’t make reaper a tank. If the reaper stays this way, I’m only going to use maybe 1 shout.

I like the new map so far, I was constantly flying around and then falling off of the map with glider :P
However I had some problems with the bouncing mushrooms… sometimes I’ve ended up dead after landing. Started the jump at full health, no conditions on me, whatsoever, but just dropped dead on the other side, or took way too much damage. Is this intended? Shouldn’t this work as you take no damage from jumping? many times you cannot even control the jump.

I’ve been farming Cursed Shore this weekend. Usually there are a few players, who go in (on purpose, or not, doesn’t really matter) to defend, when the zerg is waiting outside for champions to spawn.
Most of the time many players start saying: ‘Out of circle!’, ‘Out of camp’, ‘Event needs to fail’ etc. After a few secs when the player(s) are still in the camp, escalates with cursing.
So, I wouldn’t be surprised, if before the whisper the op got, there were other players asking him/her to come out of the event area.
