Can’t agree more about this. I didn’t even know I had LOD effects checked, and as soon as I unchecked it, My 1080 couldn’t even render wvw above 10FPS.

Have to agree here – if we are on the same matchup and we transfer to the main server as it opens, why the penalty? Especially if you had the server loyalty award pip on the link server…

With that logic, I should be able to walk into a high level fractal with pure exotics and 0 agony resistance and be able to get ascended drops just like everyone else in fractals 100.

Anet, I applaud you for rewarding people loyal to the game mode. Sorry pugs, but you’ll have to show how loyal you are by putting the time in like everyone else. -_- kids these days, always expect to have things handed to them.

Don’t know why anyone would take it over reduced fire CDs and 10% damage boost. A build would have go all out auras to make any use out of it, and the use wouldn’t be meaningful enough, if it was working properly.

This is off topic. I’m simply asking if this is a bug or if I’m just missing something here. Anyone else willing to glance over it and see?

Remember when Shield of Absorption for guardian used to root, so it lost its viability in wvw? Well the same goes for Crystal Hibernation in wvw – no one uses shield on revenants in WvW due to the root.

My suggestion is this: Remove the root in exchange for reducing the base healing, in order to balance it out. Maybe even have it apply to 5 allies around, but significantly reduce the healing?

Just throwing out some ideas because I would like to see some frontline support revenants run this for some extra sustain.

Just did some testing here, and it appears that the 33% increase in fire auras isn’t currently being applied to “Feel the Burn” and “Overload Fire”… it does, however, apply to focus’s fire shield.

I’d imagine this is not intended?

I’ve seen Spirits following people after the change as recently as a few days ago, so something is amiss here.

Why are you lying? They’re not moving, even with the spirit trait.

Maybe he’s referring to the Sylvari elite spirit that moves? Lol

Nah, just make them move by default. They fixed them in PvE where they don’t die anymore so I don’t see why they need to be placed strategically.

Yeah, even better. They’re just obsolete in WvW and I can think of a lot of uses for them for a backline dps/support druid!

Since we now have skills differentiated between the game modes, can we get the Spirits Unbound trait back for pve/wvw?

Spirits are really unique and I enjoy them as they are now, but I can’t use them in my preferred game mode (WvW). Thoughts?

Can I ask why this has the same cooldown time (60s untraited) as the elite Entangle? To me, it’s quite under powered to require such a cooldown. Thoughts?

Recently, in ranked matches, I have been getting knocked out of Celestial Avatar form unlike ever before. I checked my combat and it looks like Engi’s [thunderclap] was what hit me around the time I got knocked this last time. I could be wrong, but this is a newer experience. Is this intended? I was under the impression that CA functioned like Necro’s shroud, where you stayed in until you disabled it or it drained..

The thing that sucks is you charge up CA entirely, only to get knocked out of it and lose 1/2 of the charge and have to build it up all over again…

How about if the spirits become astral wisps and circle the ranger, making them mobile and passive/active effect centered on the ranger? Circling wisps are certainly doable in the tech. Animation can be minimal or non-existent, allowing sun spirit’s blind to be instant, like it should be, and frost and earth actives dropping under the ranger for ice combo field or to help in escapes.
The wisps could each have a colour indicating the type of spirit, and Spirit of Nature would be larger in size.
To spread them out, I’d suggest sun and storm around the shoulders, (sky) and frost and earth near the floor (ground). Spirit of Nature floating around the head maybe.

In fact, they already have the animation done with Staff 2 – Astral Wisp! Great idea!

Glad that so far we’re all in agreement that spirits need to be reworked (again). Personally, I’d like them to function like warrior banners in the sense that they’re intangible. They are, after all, spirits… therefore, apparitions not of this dimension. Right?

No… actually, we’ve talked a lot. Can we actually make them useful/viable? Unless in certain settings, they’re so under-powered and useless that no one uses them. I would love to use them because I think their design is unique, but just can’t muster the strength to waste the slots.

Please anet? Revisit the Ranger spirits and make them viable.

The guide could easily still be part of a crafting recipe for superior siege. It wouldn’t kill em to do a “repeat” button at the forge at least for recipes like this.

Especially since the guides come in stacks of 10 and/or 1.

As it stands, the only way to upgrade “Walmart” siege is by mystic forging 1 blue print at a time. This is quite tedious and very time consuming – is there any way we can get a dev to consider adding blueprints to a crafting profession (like scribe, for example) so that we can expedite this process?

Thoughts? To me, it’d be as easy as what they did with the essences of luck and artificer a bit ago.

So get this… I was having the very same issues described above…So I had an extra character slot unused, used it to create a new character, and I was able to log in! So Immediately after it loaded, I exited to switch characters and it let me in. Try that and see if it works!

Quick fix that I found worked: Stand down from any guild you’re in, then try again. I was having the same issues as described and got right in as soon as I wasn’t rep’ing a guild

My response to the spirit feedback: they are continually promoting specific builds that can only be used in certain situations, without providing an easy way to save and swap between the builds with the click of a button (like City of Heroes, if anyone has played that – you could have so many different builds saved). I am an avid WvW’er, but also happen to LOVE the idea of spirits… but now, I won’t be able to viably use them unless i’m defending a keep… If they were to give us a way to easily switch between builds (when out of combat, of course), then yeah I would at least be satisfied… but they’re not and I personally believe that this all takes away from their whole distinction of active combat.

Also, don’t lecture me on how we can switch builds out of combat now as it is… that is a lame excuse. Currently, we have to change every trait and clog our bags full of different stat gear in order to get the semblance of different builds.

- Sprits. Lol. No seriously, all they can do is ‘lol’. The biggest change we have is they can’t move anymore. Because it didn’t ‘feel right’. What?

So yeah, I’m ticked. Not that it matters, because no dev reads here. That much is obvious by the awesome treatment we get each and every patch. The ultimate irony is how huge that CDI thread was…and the amount of ‘no change lolz!’ going on in the AMA.

Couldn’t agree more. Spirits are (in my opinion) the most unique build in this game. That’s what I love about it, also to iterate the fact that it is the one of the only support specs with ranger.

Live and as of now, they’re not viable because they’re targetable and have trash health. The best thing they did with them was enable them to move, which supports the whole idea of active combat and not just sitting in one spot and PEW PEW. Now, they’re removing it again?! WTF? Why make an unviable build even more unviable? This is their chance to fix it and they’re just making it worse. So now, not only are they still targetable with their trash health, but they’re also immobile and there’s no way for the ranger to move them out of the AOEs… therefore making them absolutely pointless.

I will be deleting my Ranger if this ends up being released as described.

Still waiting for them to fix spirits. I mean, let’s examine what a spirit even is:

How are they even able to take damage? IF NOTHING ELSE, keep them as they are, just remove health bar and intangible. Keeps procs the same.

Greetings Prospective WvWers,

I, leader of [PL] Paradise Lost on the Fort Aspenwood Server, am looking to revitalize my old completely upgraded guild into a prominent WvW guild. I cannot do this alone, however, and am looking for help.

For right now, I would like to extend the invitation to anyone dedicated to WvW.
That is, If you’re interested in commanding or just being a number in a rank, that is fine! The more help though, the stronger we will be (not to mention the quicker we can get there).

Fort Aspenwood has been my home since launch, and I have sat back and watched our numbers in WvW fluctuate. Now, I am ready to make a change and bring FA the glory that it deserves. Oh, and the bags, too.

Party Glitches - too long. FIX ALREADY

On a side note, if you can find HOW you make the party glitched and report that here, you may see a much faster fix. It’s easier to fix a specific action that fails than it is to fix a broad feature reported to be buggy.

While I would usually agree with you in this (the OP report is barely a bug report, more close to a rant, almost a troll post), in this case I can’t.
The bugged party UI, problems with split parties upon dungeon entering, etc, etc, etc, has been reported and documented in every possible way, and has been consistently ignored by Arenanet (when dungeons is one of the few bits of endgame that can catch people in a long term playing). Maybe IT IS time to rant, whine, cry and scream for a fix, rather than keep constructively reporting.
This has gone on for WAY too long.

Yes, it truly has. This is a crucial component to playing an MMORPG, so why are they ignoring it? Is it beyond fixing or something? If so, hire more people in the bug department and less in the BS monthly crap. Don’t worry though guys, I’m sure another quaggan backpack item will take priority.

I shouldn’t have to restart my game in order to join a dungeon or story instance with my guild members… This is an MMORPG and should have been fixed way back like 2 months ago when it first started… yet here I am restarting my game so that I can play with other people in an MMORPG.

The glitch either shows no one in the party, doesn’t allow me to join their instance, or puts us on different instances. Seriously ANET?

Instead of putting out monthly BS content, fix the s%$t that you already put out.

I love my spirit ranger, but they honestly need some work. They have such great potential, but even fully spec’ed out in Nature Magic, they still die too easily. Why not make them intangible (if nothing else, immune to boss AOEs)? This would free up some trait space with the BS double health.

Oh, and let’s not get started on the epic nature pets… wow such a big let down.

Hello there, fellow travelers!

Are you tired of not having a group to run dungeons with? Are you tired of the small gray boxes next to every guild member’s name? Enough is enough! Come join Paradise Lost, where we pride ourselves on activity and helpfulness.

We have one requirement: helping out fellow guild members. Seriously, that’s it. If someone sincerely asks a question, as a guild member it is your duty to help them out (within reason, of course )! This is what we are all about; remember, we were all noobs at one point in time as well. 100% representation is not a requirement, we understand wanting to be a part of multiple communities. Just remember, if you choose not to represent though, you won’t be able to hear my words of wisdom :P

We do a lot of cool Guild Events! For instance:
-Guild Lottery bi-weekly
-Guild Photo Contests
-Hide & Seek
-WvW Wednesdays

We even have a guild task force, an idea formulated and put forth by a fellow member and is based on the idea of a dedicated team of members, labeled as the Dungeoneers, who regularly form/join dungeons and help others on their paths to success. This core group of Dungeoneers will be dedicated to the formation and completion of dungeons.

Not sure how to do Twilight Arbor exp f/f path? Want to attempt a dungeon you’ve never done before? This is where the Dungeoneers can come in handy; these are your go-to ’s for dungeons! We even have a rank dedicated to such members.

This is just a glimpse of what goes on, if you have any ideas we are open to them! Just let us know!

We are currently 125+ strong and are constantly recruiting and looking for more people to join our ranks.
