So reading this over it would seem that item #1 is referred to in the first 2 parts, that is:
Lemark wasn’t much of a haggler. the merchant had taken almost every copper he owned, but it was worth it. He was positive this time, no more fakes, no more copies, forgeries or lies, this was it. He could feel it, sinister…ghostly, it felt weird to hold, but he didn’t care, his journey was one quarter complete.
3.5-4 Story continues:
(2 days later)
Lemark sprinted down the alleyway, an endeavor likely to leave one examining refuse closer than generally preferable, but this wasn’t his first time. He slowed for a moment to glance behind him, merchants still chasing with guards closely behind them. He was surprised they hadn’t given up, they must be very sensitive about their heritage here, the item itself was a bit too everyday to inspire this kind of rage. “Two more blocks”, he thought to himself, double-checking the sealed, cylindrical case he carried. His attempted thievery had failed, for today, but he wasn’t going to lose what he had to the muddy waters of the bay.
More specifically,
He was positive this time, no more fakes, no more copies, forgeries or lies, this was it. He could feel it, sinister…ghostly, it felt weird to hold
and
double-checking the sealed, cylindrical case he carried
Note that he FAILED to retrieve the second item, meaning this is the only item he has acquired so far. This would imply the sinister ghostly object would also be stored in a cylindrical case.
Now item #2. It would have to be either sold by a merchant or at least owned by one. Lemark is at this point unable to afford whatever it is, so he would resort to thievery. The second item would be an everyday object that would mean a lot to the heritage of the area he is stealing it from. This area would also be somewhere where trash/refuse is located nearby alleyways. Also, according to:
Lemark was in high spirits, it had been a productive week. After a series of failures his luck had turned. He stared at his own reflection in the item, such a trivial thing by itself, but with many, there was power. Zomorros knew it as well, Lemark had seen the desire in his eyes before, this was one of his favorites.
This item has to have a reflective surface, be trivial, and require many to grant power. It also would have to be one of Zomorros’ favorites.
Now, exploring Miyani’s dialogue tells you she is from Elona, which would imply the object is Elonian Wine. However,
merchants still chasing with guards closely behind them. He was surprised they hadn’t given up, they must be very sensitive about their heritage here
Multiple merchants, multiple people being sensitive about multiple people’s heritage. Miyani is the only one that sells the wine, so could this be a different item?
item#3:
Lemark sat back against the rocky wall, brackish water rained down from one geyser or another. “What am I even doing here?” he thought for the thousandth time. He was exhausted, bloody and sore. “One of these alien curs is going to kill me before I’m done with this”, he grumbled to himself as he stood up and stretched. He needed a drink, but the day hadn’t grown cold yet, he still had time. His resolve hardened, one more attempt, he stared at yet another dulled blade, one more chance for results…this wasn’t going to be fun.
The location itself implies southsun, no other playable area has multiple geysers raining brackish water. The alien curs also imply southsun, as the karka and breezeriders that inhabit the place look rather alien. With that in mind, the blade could be the blade of an axe, blade of a weapon, or blade of a sickle. This could refer to a rare drop from karka, from the breezeriders, or foxfire, or passiflowers.

For item #1 – It seems to be something replicated a lot. no more fakes, no more copies, forgeries or lies, this was it.
Not sure if it would be replicated, but what about Offering (or Gift) of Ascalon? It’s sold by the Ascalon dungeon merchant for 200 (or 500) tears. It would be ghostly, sold for a currency.

Based on how all of the past “limited time” things have been run by ArenaNet, it’s only the Supply that is being limited.
That’s what I’m asking are these a “limited time” item? I ask because unlike the Molten Pick right beside them, their description does not include “available for a limited time only”.
..Just around while Flame & Frost is?
The new dyes look really cool but as dyes are character bound, I don’t want to be spending a fortune to ensure I outfit future alts in them, should they be limited time. I don’t mind spending a bit now and again to buying a dye pack and trying for one, but if they are limited time I’d be happier not buying any, so I don’t have dyes my alts can’t get.
Edit: Apparently I’m being unclear. The question is will Flame & Frost Dye Kits be removed from the gem store after Flame & Frost expires? It is being asked because they do not state “limited time only” in their description unlike the molten alliance pickaxe.

Class-specific armor to be purchased with skillpoints. Rare and exotic with separate skins. Can only use at level 80. Salvageable.
As Luthan said, siege blueprints for karma. Siege manual for karma as well, to allow solely karma superior siege.
Pristine fractal relics could buy regular fractal relics.
I think everything mentioned so far is exactly right.
Working together as a team should be encouraged and more rewarding.
AND
Capturing a more difficult objective should reward more wxp then capturing an easy one.
How can we do this?
Well, offering more WXP from upgraded keeps, and keeps where there are enemy players would be a start.
Guild missions offer the potential to have “Endgame content” introduced to GW2. Things like raids could be added for only guilds to participate in. You could queue it up for influence, then launch it in a manner similar to the already existing Guild Missions.
They would unlock an instance where your entire guild could go in and complete a “raid-like” instance with scaled bosses, potentially tier-based as bounties are, with higher tiers offering more tokens towards the rewards. These instances could offer story based elements, after all you would be exploring with a GUILD in GUILD Wars 2. They could have a time limit and mechanically challenging, scaled bosses.
As for rewards, unique skins, armor especially would be neat (or tokens to buy it). Some recipes could also be added, as drops or expensive token rewards. As it would be a guild event, merits or influence could be rewarded as well. Or even more uniquely, offer certain buffs that can’t be queued but can be earned by completing different instances.
For instance, slightly higher damage in PvE, higher movement speed, increased armor and the like. Maybe offer slightly improved WvW buffs, like a +10 fort supply, etc from some as well.
So what would this add to the game?
-Satisfy people asking for endgame content
-Offer a constant influence dump
-Allows guilds to be more active as guilds rather than as individuals
-Offer a larger variety of skins for less look-alike people
-Guild-locked not group-locked allows catering to casuals as well as hardcores
-Utilizes structure already built in the game (Guild Missions for the layout, already-existing buffs for rewards, recipes and armor sets)
As a side note, allow tiers such as bounty and trek have. The higher the tier, the more people the boss is intended for. If you have less on a higher tier it won’t scale down past that, but if you have more on a lower tier it would scale up. Potentially could have bosses or abilities that are only in the higher tiers.
Another side note, to start the missions you would have to be at an area to start it, not having it give a random area. That lets guilds progress towards whatever guild rewards they want.

I noticed sometimes the crocodiles’ hitboxes can move towards their back sometimes. Not sure what causes it, but by using bombs or slingshot I can usually hit it which resets the hitbox.
“Princess Miya is not Moto” is one of the books in a shopkeeper’s bookshelf, written in New Krytan of course.
So uh… I’m a little bit addicted to the Super Adventure Box. Not the skins or anything, but the box itself. I don’t want to wait for more of this but good things take time sigh.
I get the higher tier, I really do but there should be SOMETHING in tier 5.
I also get the influence sink and I agree with it, however it shouldn’t be in the first week. It ruins any progression for those without hundreds of thousands of influence, since we can’t leave guild trek until later, it has to be second.
I really don’t know what to say on this. Why were 2 levels of economy released at the same time, with level 5 being completely devoid of any new purchases, while all other trees got 1? And why, for the love of all the is holy is Economy the first one that has to be upgraded to continue unlocking guild missions !?
Our guild doesn’t have near the influence to boost the speed, and didn’t realize there were 2 tiers to economy upgrades until we did our guild bounties last night, as there is nothing on Economy 5. It’s a shame now that we won’t be able to even start trek next week unless we raise over 300,000 influence.
We aren’t even upset at that, we are more upset that we are essentially burning 20k influence to be able to unlock the next tier. Level 5 does nothing for economy and yet level 6 has multiple things. Why not split it up?
I’m sure we’d be a lot less bitter if we could spend some of the merits we will have extra on increased gold find. Hell, we’d love that because then we could earn more extra cash for influence so this doesn’t happen again the next week. Or even just the GF banners, we are able to buy them, however we are saving for ascended gear like all intelligent people.
Maybe I’ve rambled, but in short I’d like to know why Econ 5 gives nothing yet Econ 6 is needed for the second guild quest.
Does this month include the monthly Laurel? I’m only halfway done this and might not have enough time to finish it, so I want to know if I’m going to be 10 laurels behind the curve.
…about GW2, and all combat-focused MMO’s for that matter. Everything is focused around combat.
Now I know that seems odd to say, particularly if you have played previous big MMOs (looking at you WoW, Rift). However, that’s what I feel. Essentially everything in the game leads to combat. Content is gated by combat and combat skill. Crafting is implemented, but it has no purpose as all items you can craft can be dropped in the open world or obtained via karma, dungeon tokens, and the like. Almost every dynamic event has combat.
While this is fun, it gets tedious, repetitive, and at times, boring. Sometimes I don’t feel like murdering everything in my wake. Honestly, I don’t have a solution on how GW2 can fix this. It’s a core mechanic, the entire game is based around it. I just feel that I should voice my opinion on the matter.
As a reference, as much as I am disliking Runescape nowadays, it had a well built core. You could fight, but only 1/3 of the skills were combat based. There was a bunch of smaller skills that could be trained. There were quests gated around those skills, things that didn’t involve fighting larger and larger foes. However, there were still other quests that did involve those, which were all the more satisfying with the contrast.
Another reference, I recently tried Mabinogi. You could choose various professions, such as blacksmith, merchant, warrior, chef, and more that I don’t remember. Each profession had its own benefits, such as blacksmiths making equipment with slightly higher stats. It was a refreshing break from the continuous combat of GW2.
To conclude, I enjoy Guild Wars 2, however its focus on combat causes me to get bored of it quickly. Adding some kind of contrast doesn’t seem possible with the current system, however if it were added it would help hold my attention for longer.
Log to char select screen should take you out. We were looking for one earlier and couldn’t find >.<
small present because there is the most of them, giant presents are easier to farm in the bell choir or snowball fight than off these
3 of the Green minis (from box) + 50 enchanted stuffing (from Toypocalypse) = Foostivoo The Merry. Or RNG it from a box….
They have a very nice, money saving way of getting the Winterday Festive Hats. The first time. Once you get 4 however….
Can I trade these for a Foostivoo the Merry? Please?

I’m at a fractal depth of 28. So far, going deeper has no benefit save for increased token loots, that I’ve seen. Sure, you get the ascended rings so going to 10 is useful, but past that?
I’ve heard that going deeper is supposed to improve the rewards, but between the more frequent deaths and identical drops I am actual earning less on the higher ones. Maybe I’m missing something? If so could somebody tell me what?
5 days later and still no recipe discovered. Any ideas out there?
every tier up (1-9, 10-19, etc) seems to be able to drop the next tier of Mists (Vial of Concentrated Mists Essence, Glob of Coagulated Mists Essence, etc). Other than that, there is no carrot. Just like everything else in the game when you are geared up.
Defensive Infusion:
1 Eldritch Scroll , 20 Mystic Coin , 250 Karka Shells ,100 T6 Mats (some don’t work)
Offensive Infusion:
1 Eldritch Scroll , 20 Mystic Coin , 250 Passion Fruits , 100 T6 Mats (some don’t work)
Versatile Infusion:
2 Eldritch Scroll , 50 Mystic Coin , 100 Passion Flowers , 250 T6 Mats (some don’t work)
Simple Infusion:
75 Fractal Tokens (defensive)
225 Fractal Token (versatile)
This leaves 2 more:
Bountious Infusion ( http://www.gw2db.com/items/72486-bounteous-infusion )
Soothing Infusion ( http://www.gw2db.com/items/72471-soothing-infusion )
and their Versatile counterparts:

So far nobody has discovered a recipe yielding them. Speculate away on the ingredients, maybe we can find this out!
It’d be nice if they kept the whole donation thing so you can continue to obtain these kits. Would probably help keep prices higher than vendor value too.
80 thief w/ infused back slot.
Edit: found
I read somewhere that phase was was extended to the end of today because of bugs, so any use would start tomorrow
Run back as fast as you can and hope you get it or overflow hop till you find one with chest out.
2 exotics, 2 rares, 20 slot box, and an exotic jewellery with all stats. AWESOME loot, that 20 slot bag alone saved 10-12g. Some people even got legendary precursors.
Apparently it can be used as a basic salvage kit for the halloween recipes. Maybe some way to get http://www.gw2db.com/items/72375-mistlocked-salvage-kit?
Has anybody found what else goes in the MF with this thing?
Doesn’t work with:
-Rare Salvage kit
-itself
-Elonian wine
-Mystic coins
-Crystals
-Philosopher stones
-Obsidian Shards
-Fractal tokens
-Vial of condensed mists
-Ectoplasm
-T6 materials (fangs, etc)
-T6 Gems (orbs)
-All Tiers of dust

Philo. stones make quiver, crystals make books. quivers have offensive slots, books defensive.
No, only rings and backs were added with FotM.
TA explorable is pretty good for not being able to zerg, but I quite enjoy the fractal system…. most of the time. I’d like to be able to revive my teammates from the checkpoints as well, so that I don’t have to have my armor get broken to try and pick up my teammates, or die so we can reset.
That’s awesome lol, though it shouldn’t occur.
Agree with OP, he is too strong compared to the others, even on higher fractals. We fought him on Fractal 9 and wiped thrice. Since it was our first, we went and repaired then tried again and rolled the same area. However, we got the ice elemental instead and we cleared it without a problem. They both use the same mechanic, yet he is so much harder than the elemental. We went on to clear the swamp and the giant, not a problem at all, just him and his attacks kept messing us up.
It isn’t that he was impossible, we could probably have beaten him if we persevered but we didn’t want to continue past there with broken armor from all the deaths.
Southsun cove has no obsidian shard vendor but every 3 runs in Fractals of the Mist yields 15 tokens which yields an obsidian shard from the reward shop if you want it
Anybody have the time to experiment?
This would be about the crafting recipes in the forge for the Ascended gear and new stuff from Fractals.
If you have discovered any relation to infusions and ascended gear, post them here!
So far it has been found:
5x Vial of Condensed Mists Essence + 1x Mystic coin + 1x Glob of Ectoplasm + 1x Fractal Relic = (apparetly) Glob of Condensed Mists Essence
1x Vial of Condensed Mists Essence + 50x Glob of Ectoplasm + 240x Philosophers Stone +250x any t6 material = Ascended backpack (according to wiki)
1x Vial of Condensed Mists Essence + 50x Glob of Ectoplasm + 40x Crystal +250x any t6 material = ? (Likely same Ascended backpack as with Philo stones)
(edited by Bladekill.1487)
you probably used a recipe for a profession you didn’t have. Runes are in tailor, leatherworker, and armoursmithing, pay attention to the bottom before you use it.
I liked the dungeon one better. It’s really easy to match the debuff to a skill since each one was distinct. My only problem with it was the fact that it couldn’t be interrupted. So I’d sit there while all the mobs got burned, unable to tag for loot. Woe is me. the typing gets annoying in the middle of combat, even if it something simple. One small mistype and do it again, slower so that you don’t mistake again, would take longer in a dungeon instance.
1. Optional. Therefore you don’t need to do it. It doesn’t give a title, just a pair of boots and some tonics.
2. It’s supposed to be a challenge. Some of the jumps are hard, you have to keep moving to survive.
3. The first part is the worst part not because you have to move fast but because you have to wait and therefore have a zerg of people doing the same jumps.
4. I’ve done this on an Asura in 2 hours, with Norn and Charr in my overflow. Once you learn the jumps it becomes easier. After getting to the clock face once I only failed at the very start from the zerg, from the jump where you have to get onto that horizontal gear because that one involved moving past the visible edge before jumping, or from the end area that I had little practice in.
5. Don’t believe in yourself, believe in the you that believes in you. Such was the advice given to me the round I succeeded in.
Would be nice if we got the entire Mad King set instead of just the boots for first completion. The weapon skins IMO should have been left to crafters… Glares angrily at those who got them dropped from the exploitable chests in the first few hours.

This issue was around with jumping puzzles during the first few weeks due to overflow in the newb zones. Nobody was banned from that. If you wanna play it safe, make a new char, clear tut, and check for bags on them, they respawn…
you an also use pvp button and get to LA through the Heart of the Mists/ WvWvW
250 candy corn for the recipe, 2000 candy corn for the Sigils. Costs around 250-350g for all the items total.
