Was Personality Tracking Removed?

I am also curious about this. Considering the fact that GW2 is still mmoRPG, I find it wierd to remove ( even if underrated ) this feature. I hope they either plan on revamping/fixing it or it is just some sort of bug.

Too bad ,that our choices taken in dialog lines do not reflect our character’s personality. The sytem really needs some ‘’feature patch’’.

Fortune-Teller ( make maps worth visiting )

in Suggestions

Blumiere.1489

Hello everyone.

Most of the time, it seems, that Anet struggles to make most of the maps interestning to visit again and again. Apparently most of the maps visited are either low level or high-end lands such as Orr. I thought about the idea, that maybe could solve the problem. I call it the fortune-teller.

What could it be ? First of all, as the name suggest , it could be mystical fortune-teller ( similar to those gypsy tents or wagons we see either in movies or amusement parks ). It could be :
a) traveling randomlly on map
b) or be stable in all of the cities or one ( be it ,, capital ,, of each land or Lion’s Arch )

What would it do ?
The fortune-teller could grant us an service called… fortune-telling. However apart from simple ,,smoke and mirrors,, the divinatation could direct player to a certain land.

What for ?
Anyone who solves the riddle and marches to correct land, will be given the buff, which allows us to collect materials I called ,, Glimpse of the future’’ ).Material will be obtainable from RNG – random loot from mobs, or it can be measured by our MF.

The buff lasts only 24h and it affects only the ,,chosen ,, land. If the timer goes to 0 we have to visit fortune-teller again, listen divinitation and guess which land will gives us this buff again. To slow those who will jump to dulfy after recieving the riddle, Anet should came up with 3-5 descriptions for each of area in game.

Also I thought, that the ,,choosen,, land might give us a small MF buff like 10 % – of course If it is controversal, it can be removed form idea.

Which land ? The algorythm, that decides where current player goes should be
a) either decited by account
b) by current character that took the divinitation ( for instance 20lv char will get riddle for 1-20 lands buy 60 lv char will get divinitation for 60,40, or 20 ). This could also mean, that there will be as many divinitation for 1 day as there are characters on account. In some way it is good because it might me a gold sink. Also each day the ,,computer,, shoud have set of lands ,,in mind,, to prevent complete randomness.

What for ?
a)The Glimpse of the future, could be some sort of ,,ticket,, that allows us to buy new skins (weapon, armour or both) which are related to ,,mystical,, stuff.
b)Also I thought, that we could buy a small Essence of luck for it. The reason for this, is to make Fortune teller usable after getting desired ,,shinies,, . Of course the price for it should be high and also I ask for small Essense in order not to ruin the economy.

Other features :
Fortune-teller can give us standard divinitation that serves no purpuse than RPG, ar can be a reason to create a thread here like ,, LOL Anet’s divinitation happend in my real life LOL ’’ I still chuckle when I remember divinitations given by Katrina from Animal Crossing, that actually happend in my real life ( though they should happen in game ). Lastly the current randon divinitation OR another seperate one, that could give us buff or debuff. It will be gold sink, to take a risk.

I personally think, that my suggestion may not only encourage people to visit some remote areas, but also a little skin hunt, and essence might have some ,,story,, that might give the farming a little sense, and I do not know logic maybe ? Also let’s not forget that it will be usefull for Anet, because divinitations are not free ( gold-sink).

Yup, now I can go say bye-bye to cultural armours, especially to any new character, that might be created. Thank you ,,hardcore,, community for destroing the game mechanic, and thank you that you treat people that has less time and want to play their style as a piece of junk. Thank you Anet for being spineless. I understand, that maybe Anet wants to make us to buy boosters, ok fine, but why rewards had to be nerfed this much ? I was one of the player, that got his cult-wep by dailies and doing events, now instead of calm and rational progress it will be nothing more than over-hour running back and forth, and diminishing returns will not make it easier.

I may be b***ing a little but as for me ,this is a deal-breaker.

Right lets just follow the path instead of carving a new one, so much for ,, innovative,, and ,,revolutionary,, MMO.

Hello again.

While I can agree with you, that is no problem to either memorize thing, or learning how to play, my concern is still that even if I do the whole thing without a single life lost, I still get little to no reward. Comparing to world 1, where apart from beedogs with baubles there were secret caves as well as digging spots containing stuff too. World 2 appears only to be bauble/life sink , and this I find as a stupid mechanic – farm world 1 just to lose everything in world 2. Like I said there is no balance in reward/risk factor. Also world 2 appears to be more based on luck than skill. I mostly died because asassin threw me out of platform , oh and also the room filled with darts and orange frogs was pain in the butt too.

Edit : Yes as Coldin sait. What is the point of keys, when maybe I have found like 1 chest where in world 1 were like 10 ?

Hello everyone.

While I appreciate the new SAB content, I am afraid that creators were too excited about making it. The problem is this, that comparing to world 1 hassle I got more baubles and lost less lives than in world two, which ended up with losing like 30 lives and getting little baubles. Something is not right here. Where is the balance and flow between worlds ? I understand that ,, new world , harder challange,, but NOT THAT HARD. Especially thanks to stupid gong dojo with going up and down with bazylion off traps, the dojo filled with pirhanas was not a good experience too thanks to stupid idea of instant death for falling to one, absurd throw to pool whenever I am hit and also stupid pirhanas, that are running away when you are holding them.

The difficulty level is to high comparing to world 1. And also it is stupid that I get only little to none baubles. What is the reason to go there actually ? Not to mention that my journey ended in last zone because I could not afford to buy torch, that helps with melting ice. Seriously tone down this a little, because as for now it seem too high risk with minimal reward. What is so fun with farming world 1 over and over just to lost all of it in another world ? It should be balanced.

Edit : if I wanted to prove myself I would try hard mode instead of normal. Really something is wrong here.

@shedim
,,You forgot Trahearne is the actual hero of this story, not the player character.,,

My idea still could fit. Just like I said, our personality could still show different approach to Zahitan fight as well as other NPCs like Treharne for example. Characters ther are more ferocious, and barbaric might be in conflict with him, which could result in ,,Pyrrus victory,, that I came up with, and those charming and charismatic could have more normal dialoges and maybe Treharne could admire our charisma or admit that we are charming in some sense :p

And Orpheal is right, more consequences with our personality, because as for now it is no different than standard MMO quest where you go to point A or B and kill X mobs, it has only little ,,spirit,, thanks to dialoges. Nothing more nothing less.

Edit : Anet should not be afraid of creating consequences from which there is no turning back. It is our character ,our personality we want to be and we want coherent choices to this ( at least I want ). Also different approaches could promote creating more characters to see the whole story form different angle.

Edit again, the current personal story design still makes me wonder what do producers where thinking telling that they want to make RPG in GW2, because as for now there is little RPG to personal story, especially thanks to no ,,growth,, of our character. Instead of ,,from zero-to hero,, we have american hollywood kitten ( sorry Americans no offence) from the start. I personally do not like heroes, that are ,,Supermen,, from the start. It should be journey about adulthood ,responsibility resolves and kept promises.

What is so stupid about the current system,it is the fact that you can ,,set,, your wanted personality by clicking dialoge line with the appropiate symbol you desire. This is not how RPG work you have to think by yourself which dialoge line could fit to character personality you want to be and the current situation, without seeing the symbol representing it. Also most of the personality bar should be filled via personal story rather than random NPC. And also they maybe should result in differnt ending or approach to whole fight with Zahitan. For instance someone barbaric will defeat Zahitan by ,,Pyrrus Victory,, making all friends hating hero at the and while someone charismatic will move bigger crowd to fight, and at the end may become known socialite of Tyria.

Hello again.

I do not know, I came up with this extreme idea, where instead of giving mini-game an achievement system, which mostly encourage only to play mini-game only to complete them, why not to create some ,,tournament,, for each of specific minigame ? Since we have tournamets for Spvp why not to try this here ? After all, this is also some kind of PVP content, and maybe it should be treated as such ? The rewards could be some skins for PVP related to each minigame for instance Keg Brawl reminds me of american football so why not create skins simillar to this ? Let’s just make minigames as a coherent content with other activities.

I honestly cannot wait to see end of this charade. Even so I am wondering how Anet will keep telling the LS for years ? GW1 lasted like 7-8, and is still active at least a little. Does Anet keep telling us LS for the same time ? Besides it has little story like 10% the rest is only about doing achievments and running back and forth.

When I bought GW2 I was so happy. Finally a game that will allow me to left her behind for a while, knowing that whenever I return I will not feel being abandoned, which can happen in MMO due to grindfest and gear chasing. I like to play 2-3 hours a day but I like to create my schedule of how should I play. Now It seems that nightmares from previous games have returned and came here, sinc there is not only time-gated content and also a rush where it is hard to find ourselves. Oh the horror.

LS=BS So sick and tired of half baked product.

Edit Also if Anet decides to end this Ls we shall prepare for rage from people that might be ,,spoiled,, from the curren schedule. It might me hard for them to back to normal habits.

Ursan, yesterday it was Sanctum Sprint, today is Southsun Survival which I like in a moderate taste. Do you seriously think I will jump there while waiting for other mini-games to come ? Is it my fault I have restricted taste ? There are players that play one race or profession for instance only, should we limit them ? What about areas, apparently it seems that Queensdale is the most visited, while Orr is deserted, Why not to limit Queensdale playerbase to make them move their backs and go there ?

Serelisk is right : no wonder the community knows little about them, since mini-games are not actually promoted even on forums. and the fact they might appear to be bugged makes them only a niusance rather than content compatybile to the game.

Allow me to be ignorant, until I hear the Anet statement, because even now Ursan you are still giving the assumption that is only based on your personal experience. We both give assumptions we just made them on different thinking process.

If there is a player dilution, then whole Gw2 playerbase can only dream of visiting Cantha or Elona in the future, since there either might be a small playerbase to play new content or they will thin out previous areas. But is it a fault of playerbase or something is wrong with promoting the game ?

They could always try to create some underlow servers, like anything, but limiting content. I said previously, a survey showed that Asura race is the least played race in game, should Anet set specific days when other races will be blocked just to make us ,,like,, Asuras ?

Come to think of it, I have not seen an actuall information on forum about minigames, that actually promotes them. And the current solution still will not solve the problem since achievement hunters will only play those games for achievement. After fulfilling the task they will jump to quest/farm/dungeon run, instead of chilling on some mini-game. This only makes them to wait x amount of days, thinking that people will react ,,ooohh since I am waiting for my mini-game I will try others , maybe I will start liking them and caring for them wweeeee,, is actually naive approach.

@Ursan I have asked this : ,, If Anet is afraid that playerbase will thin on servers due to running back and forth to play specific minigames instead of doing quest etc, should Anet just encourage new custumers to try it’s product instead of limiting current playerbase ?,,

I honestly have never seen such thing on MMO . I fully understand festival minigames ( Haloween – Lunatic Inquisition, Winters Day – Snowball Fight etc ), but honestly why this ? If playerbase gets smaller then why not try to limit some dungeons or areas ? Oh I remember long ago, that there was a survey about which rase is played at most and the least. Most of players are playing Humans and if I remember there is a small number of players playing Asura . Should we time-gate this ? Why not professions or even lands visited ?

It is a schame Anet should understand that it is players that create this world and the players should create their ,,schedule,, of activities not developers. I am one type of players that does things randomly and sometimes I do things when I fell that ,,today is the day,, . What a bummer – going to join some minigame just to see sign ,,pitch, land, track closed due to cleaning,,.

Hello again .
I sincerely thank to the group of people here, that actually help to keep this thread up and running. When I created it few hours ago, I was afraid, that it would be lost under the pile of other threads, now it seems to be alive.

I am still waiting for logical answer. What was wrong with Keg Brawl for instance ? Now it has 0 sense and especially it looks wierd in Hoelbrak when you ask Npc next to Keg Brawl pitch, and he is telling you he cannot activate it because others are playing mini-game completly unrelated to specific area. It is quite logical and well ,,real,, when certain minigame fits ,,area,, where it is . That is why I asked about Crabb toss in Southsun

I trully enjoy Sanctum Sprint, but why my need to play this game should limit others ? And why should others limit me in a matter which game should I play ? This trully is in opposite to philosophy ,,play the game how you want,, . Well now I can play limited and with little feeling of being a kittenbag because others cannot do their own. What is the purpouse of this ,,feature,, Is it to provoke community, to create an enormous quarrel ?

If it would be about me, I would simple even agree with 0 rewards for those minigames just to make them not only separate, but also fit onto accurate area. They are a good way to let of some steam with community. Why to limit this ? I seriously hope this is only temporary solution due to some unknow issues.

Just like Serelisk said – fact, that I enjoy Keg Brawl does not mean that I will enjoy other games. There is a reason why most mini games either in single game or MMO are separted and not time-gated, they are created to reach others taste , games not players, because currently it looks as if
Anet was trying to ,,persuade,, players to like them all which is impossible.

We do not have time-gated races, dungeons, classes, crafting classes, why mini-games should be ?

Hello everyone.

I just wanted to ask, what was the reason ( I hope logical one) to limit current activities to 1 day each ? If I want to play Keg Braw either for achievemnt or for fun do I have to wait now 3-4 days to open ? Seriously this was a bad move. Yet another time-gated content, even if this is small minigame.
What about Southsun Cove ? What was a reason to close the shipping route to it ? My 1 character can acces there due to teleport, but what If I want to play new one ? Do I have to wait x amount of days for super special event just to go there ? The same about minigames related to this area. Was it hard to put NPC there for Crabb Toss ?

I honestly hope this is not pernament update, especially if more mini-games will be introduced. The amount of time to play some ,,favorite,, could vary even further.

I thought this game allows ,, to play the game how you want,, ? So much for doing achievments or chilling after quest/dungeon run at one of your favorite mini-game.

Definetly a bad move Anet.

There would be threads like anet is greedy and playerbase is promoting RNG etc. There was one thread about this. At least the results show us, that the election wasn’t made to promote gem store items. On the other note I personally find LS and current Gw2 lore far too Asura, and Human oriented, that is why I voted for Evon, It could actually give us some Charr related LS ( still waiting for Sylvari also ), and by the fact the Evon seems to be ,,evil,, I think the LS could be more interestning, than laid-back too good Treharne erm.. Suggestion about the FOTM and Ascended Gear.

in Suggestions

Posted by: Blumiere.1489

Blumiere.1489

Hello everyone.

I am an player that had suffered from ,,burned out,, syndrome. I have stopped playing GW2 for like 4-5 months. However I have decited to slowly get back onto the track. Though I may be not so informed about recent events , I have maneged to catch a small glimpse thanks to forums.

My period of absence had small times when I actually played GW2, and also where I have looked onto the forum, yesterday’s threads about Laurels and Dailes gave me some thought.

Apparently the FOTM mechanic and purpouse of it, is to attract those hardore players for ,,challange,, and ,,fun,, . For running FOTM again and again you get new Ascended Gear just to travel further and so on cycle continues. That idea made a huge turmoil in GW2 community – players accused Anet of manifesto infrigement ( new tier of gear, ,,grind,, , ) and in some way they may have a point. I am not good at math ,but as I understood the new tier of armour differs from Exotics ( even if difference is small it is still a difference). Thus people do not want to feel left behind so they want to get it.

Thanks to many feedback , Anet came with an solution by introducing other ways of getting Ascended gear ( other dungeons, Laurels etc). It seems that other parts of armour as well as other ways of getting them are being implemented. Unfortunatelly people now are afraid that doing stuff for Laurells just for Ascented gear may be a dope chore or grind.

The current scheme of some players seems to look like :

do dailes, quest n stuff —-->get Laurels ,aquire Ascended gear——->new tier is stronger than famous exotic, use it on WWW.

The outcome of it is actually an seed of necessity which may or has sprouted in player,s heads. Long before FOTM it seemd that people did not have so great need of exotics because you could do dungeons without them and also people were not afraid of not getting them because you could always get them in other way ( craft them, explore dungeons, random loot). The ascended gear seems to be simillar – go to FOTM and do the magic or do the quessts for Laurells.

What is the difference ? The current way of getting new tier is critisised for lack of diversity ( you do the same quests or run the same 1 dungeon for reward) I personally think that is the reason why some people hate FOTM and everything that resembles it.

The curent event gave me thought : How can we give old diversity to players ( without need of getting new gear, and make other people suffer form it, ) and also how to please those that want some challenge ? My idea is to :

Make any part of Ascended armour with Exclusive usage ONLY in FOTM.

Why this, and what do I want to tell ? My idea is to make and Ascended armour only uasble in FOTM . Just like Agony status – it can occur only in FOTM so make a Ascended gear usable only in FOTM. Just like a scuba diving suit – you do need it only when you want to dive, you take it off when diving ends.

How it could work ? Simple – make it so that in PvE or WWW Ascended armour stats are 0 and when those are in FOTM, their naturals stats are back.

What will it do ? The casual players will not have to suffer from ,,need,, of getting those and yet hardcore players can still have a challenge ( aquireing 80 level in FOTM and getting all gear may give them some time ).

The future scheme for player could be : wants to try FOTM —-— do stuff to get armour ( get Laurels or run lower parts of FOTM) —- get stronger in this dungeon —-- rinse and repeat till 80 floor)

This may be a grind – yes but only for those who want to do this, and also it will not become a mandatory part of game – just like getting Legendary weapon. Also Exotics will return to their former glory, since the will be back as old/new renown tier. And also they will be back as valid tier for WWW.

I am open to your thoughts about this and please forgive me if I may sound uninformed or out of date.

It is so awsome, that I have created an suggestion-thread to make it as an seperate mode for PVP. Really something worth a try.

Make Phantom Inquisition a seperate mode in PVP.

Hello everyone.

I have recently came across this awsome mode where players hide from other players, and when they die they become ,,ghost-plyers,, . Please Anet make this ,,capture the flag,, mode as one of seperate maps for Pvp. The gameplay is one of ,which I admire. It is so fun to troll other players by hiding in the corner, using camouflage and then leaving unnoticed.

Please make 1 map, that will last forever, and not only for halloween.

Well since we want to have houses, why the idea cannot be expanded to having an guild house/base ? I would love to see how spent influence helped us to create an fantastic guild hub where players could have an banquet. It would also give us a little RP sauce to gameplay. As for now guild is mainly an facebook chat with buffs.

Fazhu : The system could be implemented only to players. It is only to encourage players to be helpful towards others. We can get no exp and karma from reviving npc., or only exp from ressing NPC.

Entity : I said, that I wanted to be given karma INSTEAD of exp while ressing. AFAIK the ,,dead,, person does not get any exp for being revived. Hmmm maybe items from karma vendors should be also account bound only ? IDK . And as you said about botters making suicides in Divinty;s Reach – i was like LOL.

Hello every one.

Apperently there is a problem with Karma – especially due to diminishing returns in DE, and also I have heard, that players instead of helping others in DE just focus on killing mobs only for higher contribution and in thus higher rewards. I have came up with an idea to give players an possibilty to gain small amount of karma for helping other ( ressurecting ).
That way the players, that want to be ,,support,, will not feel left behind because of smaller contribution, and also it may encourage those ,,competitive,, players to at least help ,,res,, someone during DE once a while. The amount of exp aquired by resurrecting has no value – the same amount can be get by killing 2-3 mobs, and the game itself allows to gain a level at faster rate than other MMO.
The estimated amount could be 50-70 Karma. I personally do not think, that the system could be exploited. Like how ? Does anyone wants to keep dying until someone gets desired amount of Karma ?
Long story short : instead of exp, give us karma. After all this is what karma is all about : you do good stuff and good stuff goes to you in return.

UP – yes we only have quests like : serve and protect. I saw an Norn gameplay where player had to solve riddles given by statues. Why do not we have quests that require some academic knowledge? For instance creature similar to mythological Sphinxs gives you riddles like : what is heavier 1kg of feather or 1 kg of iron ? or ,, I am vessel holding golden treasure inside me what am I ,, , or ,, there are 2 sisters – 1 borns second and second borns the first what are they ,, ? If you solve them then you have reward if not then fight to death. Some NPC could give pop quizes about GW2 lore, history etc. The better answer the bigger reward.

And we really should have quests that require helping villagers in simple manner like repairing houses, preapearing for festivals. And they should not have fights. For instance there is a quest in Beetletun where girl asks us to gather grapes for vine for some noble. Why do we have to interrupt quest with cenatur fights ? Especially when the land is peacefull due to victory of Seraphs on these lands ?

As for now villages are hubs made for punchbags that are waiting to be killed, kidnapped or ra…ed. Give them life ! Some villages could hold small ,,market days,, or bigger carnivals and players may help in preperation.

I am still waiting for bar brawls and shooting gallery to be implemented.

Anet said, that they want to bring back RPG to MMORPG. Allow us to role-play the game, land, but by not only fightng for it, but also living in it.

In-game marriage ? is it possible ?

Blumiere.1489

Well I personally see no reason why we should not have marriges. Either different or same gender. There are MMOS that allow them ,, Eden Eternal,, ,,Runes of Magic,, or ,,Lucent Heart,, . Besides EE allows to ,,couple,, between races – frog-human-a-like and bears-a-like. And those games have PEGI 12 + . No-MMO game that has marrige is – Sims 2-3. There couples ( either both or same sex) can kiss, cuddle, hug etc.

I saw no boycott of Sims or other MMOS when same-sex marriges where implemented so someone,s arguments are valid.

Games that have 16-18 PEGI have either more realistic volience or have more sexuall themed content ( naked NPC, sexual intercourses etc. ).

The only problem I have is, how can it be done and whether marrige is usefull?
Maybe some sort of chapel ? Players have to pay a fee ?

And if Anet decides to implement marriges ,please give them NO benefits. It discriminates those ,,lone wolfs,, marrige should be more like an social feature for laugh : ,,ima married to male asura and ima male char lololol,, or to experiecne gameplay with ,,special someone,, from real life. Well maybe aproppiate outfit can be given for ceremony and can be kept forever after it, but NO benefits like – higher speed when couple is together or bigger exp rate.

Im actually curious : How bigger MMOS like LOTR or WOW have solved this issue ? I haven’t played them.

Hello everyone.

There were many topics about the difficulty of DE, there is a thread that suggests to change its difficulty by powering the enemies etc. I would like to tell that strenght should not always be a factor that determines the fail or victory in DE. Some DE lacks a level of thinking or so players are to blame.

1st situaion – I am 20 lv human mesmer. In Queensdale there is a farm invaded by bandits, that want to slaughter people. The point of DE is to protect the villagers. I mostly see this DE fail because peope instead of protecting them, just go and gangbang bandits, but at least 1 or 2 can escape the chaos and always kills silently those villagers. Those quests fail because people forget about the goal, players should reconsider their prioreties when it comes to fight.

2nd situation – Queensdale. I had a quest to escort Asura pet trainer and his Moa birds. We were attacked by those rat-humans. The quest was very nice but it should be more strict about the rewards. The Asura ,,died,, twice and still we got him to goal. Why ? I think that people shoul focus on protecting him. By giving ability to revive ,,escorts,, DE is no challenge. Anet should :
a) make so that death of escort means game over or
b) each ,,death,, of escort results in penalty of getting lower reward in exp, karma, gold.

Too much fight and lack of immersion.

I am human and I understand that this race has problem with centaurs. But to my surprise why some quest actually require fights ? The same problem with ,,hearts,, . I had quest to help monastery with brewing wine. In the end the best to aquire goal was to fight giant worms. Really ? Some quest should be more ,,natural,, , ,, mundane,, It should help me to understand the problems of people. There should be ,,hearts,, or DE like ,,The strom destroyed our storage please help us collect food,, or ,, a festival of god X is soon help us and have fun,, . Maybe after festival there should be possibility to :
a)enjoy fireworks,party etc, or
b)the festival can be once a while disturped by assault of enemies.

There are quests about avarege problems but they need tweaks. Near Divinity,s Reach there is a farm with rabbit problems, and players should catch them. Why those bunnies are standing ? They should run ! Yes, some quest should require a little bit of swift movents not only in fight.

Also there are quests that require gathering but maybe the contribution should be changed to this : after getting to bush, tree, etc the player will play a mini game – simple mini game like making stick to be in the middle of the screen or pressing correct button in order. The outcome will be given in food , gathering material needed for quest, but with specific grade. The more food etc. with higher grade – the better contribution.

Summing up : DE are a nice concept but as for now they require more fighting mobs rather than other activities. Even adventurer should help, not only by killing dragon but also by sweeping the floor, at least from time to time.

Maybe I do not know other races and further lands, but I just wanted to give my thought as a freshman in GW2

I know that the filter itself is tho protect from being profained, but it seems that banhammer – that is to punish evildoores have too high AoE and can hit innocent – eg. problem with fleshlight joke.

It is a public place, yes but there is a difference between saying and screaming. I sometimes may tell joke in restaurant with my friends, but should I be forced to leave when person that sat next to me felt offented ? I know that, if i said it to his/her face, that would be a reason, but when it was directed to speccific group ? It is my fault that someone heard it ?

I think sometimes the best way, is to actually simple ,,stop feeding,, the offender. Leaving him ignored may simply to make his little troll in head die. I have met many people in MMO and believe me, the times where it was wise to click ,, ignore,, were very rare – 2 or 3 ,because some are simply not worth being ignroed by ,,feature,, or being reported.

I have an suggestion. I have maneged to play a game, where people had an ability to custom filter. That way, every player could write words that appeared to him/her offensive. This could help solve the problem with subjective offence.

I do not want to defend people that swear, but I think those bans should be exposed upon those who harass player or simply play troll.

I have mine filter turned off and AFAIK, GW2 does not support such feature as custom filter.
