I actually think it would be a really cool map to watch competitive teams play. The objectives are super sweet. Just imagine the squishy of the team grabbing the defensive buff.
Anet will you ever release a patch that gives us the tools to save our own builds that we make?

Luckily OfficialMEight answered my question on what to do. (Twitch streamer.) Daily fractal completion gives you chests that could possibly include ascended gear. That’s enough to motivate me to jump on gw2 every day for at least a little bit.

My biggest thing I have against laurels is that the only way of obtaining them is by logging on everyday. But I don’t understand what guild wars expects us to do while waiting to get ascended gear.. we can’t do challenging fractals, we can’t do raids it’s like there’s no end game that a person can do. So do u expect us to just login for 5 minutes at reset getting our laurels then logging off the game? Maybe if you added laurel rewards to dungeons ppl would actually start doing them. Could I get an a net dev to let me know what I’m supposed to be doing without ascended gear at lvl 80?
So I made a guy log off gw2 after beating all of his classes in guild hall arena. Is marauder symbol guard op? I don’t want it to get nerfed I mean, is anyone else thinking its gonna get nerfed? Its not super good in ranked pvp rev does more dmg and is just as resilient.

This build works because it has 2900 toughness, and it has 3 invulns either for condi or power dmg. The heal skill the signet and berserkers stance counter condis, and endure pain the heal skill, and your traited endure pain counters power dmg.
The build is good because : It is a hard target to go after, it has a lot of cleave, it has a lot of dmg, it has mobility, it has rampage, you can stand on point, adrenal health sustain.
The build is bad because : It doesnt win 1v1s, moa hurts bad, teamwork is needed to use 100 blades.
Definitely have fun trying this out!

Short bow isn’t a good condi weapon when all you have to do to counter it is to look at it.

What do you guys think of dagger skill life siphon granting unblockable atks? I’m running into the problem where as a dagger/warhorn staff well necro I cant atk with life blast/lich form because of all the reflects currently in the meta. Ele/Engi/warrior/ranger/rev/Mesmer reflects and/or deflects. The ele deflect lasts as long as lich does, and the reflects are for when I go into death shroud. Those deflects/reflects that have 0 counterplay as a necro, and really bum me out when I face meta comps. I don’t think making life siphon give unblockable atks will break necro. My idea on life siphon giving stacks is that every two successful siphons grants one stack of unblockable adding up to a total of 4 unblockable stacks. this leaves a remainder of one. What they could do with the remainder is stick it at the end and if the end siphon didn’t hit then all the unblockable stacks would disappear. Plz I would love for feedback.

Our goal for the guild is to have a core pvp team, surrounded by casual pvpers. I would love for the guild to be a easy group finder tool for those interested in having fun. Jumping on discord will be a gr8 way to make friends and really enjoy your time in the heart of the mists.
The pvp team will start being focused on once I get my new pc. I will have the build completed in around 2-3 weeks.

i didnt think that .5 sec cast time was slow, i guess compared to instant skills its slow. 3k crit every .5 seconds wasnt by any means bad in any way shape or form last time i checked. seems overpowered if u ask me. especially when the revenant has 100% crit chance 100% of the time. i guess the only downside is that scrappers run a reflect.
Why does revenant deal 6k damage per second with hammer auto with %100 percent uptime fury which means %100 critical chance with invocation, and quickness. I’m talking dmg against berserker and marauder builds. If they’re anything tanker it stays around 2 k up or down 100. No other class can compete with that dmg. Rev is also tankiery than other classes that aren’t heavy armor. Revenant also has two heals, one that makes them “immune” with all dmg converted into healing and one that’s just an extra heal. Shiro gives revs stun breaks and dodges and endurance gain into one skill. A stun that hits everything that’s trying to gank it. To summarize it does the most dmg while being slipperyer/tankier/After playtesting than other classes that don’t do as much dmg even when they’re specced to do dmg. They have full uptime fury with herald skills and the herald ability that can be casted at anytime. I would love for some feedback.

Kill them from ranged spamming whatever bouncing or AOE attacks you have. An engineer isn’t going to leave the node, because that’s where his turrets are. He has to stay there unless he wants to fight without utilities.
Rabid amulet nades dont do anything. They outheal my dps.
shoot i forgot to complain about thieves and their op stealth and evades and power creep.
thief is fun and op in pvp currently lots of stealth and the class doesn’t have cd’s its interesting. Mesmer is very fun if you enjoy confusing you enemies and using your opponents offense as your own offense (dodging and creating a clone to later be shattered), but it’s not the best class for pvp currently. Warrior has its own play style you can play cancer condi tank or cancer hambow warrior both are very good currently and you might find the cancer enjoyable. Ele has a super burst spec Scepter/Focus that has zero counterplay that can 100 – 0 someone. It can be very fun and enjoyable if youre into aids. Ele also has d/d bruiser spec that is fun and takes skill. Eles can actually do fine I believe now that this current patch has buffed them a little.
Guardian can be fun playing as either dps cancer or as a bunky guardian. They are very good in pvp and you must always take a bunky guard. Engineers have a million blinds and an op amount of burn with balthazar. Engineer focuses on surviving the fight while melting the enemy. (Op nades). Necrocancer is in a very good spot in the meta. It has epidemic that spreads condis to nearby foes and signet of spite applies every known condi to a single target with the push of a button. It also has it’s own type of cc called fear. Ranger has it’s trap build and spirit build. Push one a lot keep track of your pets abilities and shoot through fields. You can also do a beserker gs build that can be fun. Now which cancer…whoops i mean class do you want?
In team queues it should also show damage done/damage taken. It should show the damage done with condition damage and the damage done with power damage.
I should mention that spvp maps should be symmetrical.
Now onto another cancer class thieves. Stealth is op. Thieves can do whatever they want with no punishment. The only thing that would fix the class are cooldowns. If you look at their skills they’re just as good or sometimes better than other classes skills. Ranger weapon evades < Thief weapon evades. Ele/Mes/Guard/Necro teleports < Thief teleports. Any application of poison < Thief application of poison. Stealth from any other class < Thief stealth from pistol 5. Thief shadow refuge > Mesmer elite mass invis. Mesmer interrupts >= Thief interrupts > any other interrupts. Thief can just interrupt non stop is why i put the = sign in. Now you can’t buff other classes to be as good as what the thief is proficient at and you can’t nerf the thief to the point of other classes, but you can tone it down a little.
Now on to my main the engi. The engi nades are op. They can’t be skillfully dodged at short range, and they have very low cds. Bombs are balanced because you can just walk out of them or dodge. They can’t beat necros. I think the only way to fix nades is if the thrower changed color depending on what he was throwing or maybe got a symbol over his head. Ik the color thing sounds silly but i’m just trying to make it so it can be skillfully dodged. The symbol would look like the signet of spites activation and would appear over the engis head as soon as he initiated the cast. The explosion animations need to be toned down a little bit more. When i’m fighting an asuran and throwing nades at them it is hard to see animations. It would also help in making team fights less of a cluster.
Warrior asurans animations are hard to see when i’m damaging them and numbers are appearing everywhere. It would be nice if we had the option to make all of the numbers smaller or make them disappear completely. It would help in seeing animations of any race if you did that.
Ranger. The amount of bleed stacks they can get are insane ask jin. It’s op. Some of the ranger shortbow/longbow skills are hard to see. I’m getting tired of typing so i’m not going to go into detail.
Elementalists have zero counterplay bursts. That’s just silly. Other then that i can’t say anything about them until i fight more of them. I don’t know how this patch is really affecting them. They are stronger though.
Guardians. Dps guards destroy every other power class. When the guardians aren’t skillfully dodging they are hitting their opponent with retal. Lightning+Fire has insane burst potential with sword 3. Scepter 3 is pretty unavoidable.

Mesmer is good for boon stripping, burst damage/pull shatter, and portal running the normal shatter build 20/20/0/0/30 (Yes the one we saw when the game first came out). Any other build isn’t worth taking into team q (Condition, phantasm, etc). Currently the only role it can claim for itself are the portal plays.
Necro does the boon strip very efficiently, and a thief does the burst just as well or better, and has a pull shatter with no cd (shortbow 2). Both of the classes are better at 1v1’s. Thief has an op amount of mobility which is comparable to the portal on a mesmer. Currently the only thing a thief should lose to are engis and an occasional warrior. The only thing a necro should lose to is maybe an occasional warrior. Mesmer has a lesser chance of beating a necro post patch along with the thief. Mesmers can’t random dodge op stealth openers from thief, and the lyssa nerf hurts us against fighting necros.
Currently there is nothing a mesmer can fight and know he can win but there are classes he knows he can’t beat. Generally every fight is in the other classes favor 60 to 40. Mesmer is one of the more balanced classes with actual animations that you can see even if that mesmer is an asuran (Sword 3/Sword 2/GS 4/ GS 2/ Focus 5). The only thing i would change is to show an animation on a clone when it’s queued to shatter. Depending on which shatter you chose the clone would have a different animation. Very easy to see animations also. Focus 4 can only be evaded if it’s random dodge maybe it stayed on the ground for 1-2 sec then it pulled. It would be a nerf but i’d be okay with it if the rest of the classes power creep got toned down as well. Not saying that mesmer has any power creep.
Necro has very very very hard animations to see or they’re instant. Necro staff is almost as bad as engi nades when it comes to bad animations. Engi nades are easy to see when they’re thrown through the air but when they’re thrown at their feet it’s impossible to skillfully dodge them. Necro staff inflicts chill/fear/bleeds/poison without an animation. The scepter 1 inflicts poison and bleeding with no projectile. DS has a no animation fear that allows them to follow up with dark path (bleeding and more chill). They have a utility that inflicts every condition in the game onto one person including 15sec of weakness. They can spread any condi they want through the use of epidemic that will for sure hit unless the victim random dodges. With the nightmare changes the amount of instant fear they have is just ridiculous.
To be honest while I enjoy using weird combinations in my builds I think that this change is for the better. IF they can actually follow up with GOOD balance changes. If they only have to fix balance on 12 amulets it’s a lot easier.
Many people just dont care about win/loses. They care about good pvp fights and with good opponents. So they wont defend and only search for battles.
I’m guilty of doing so. In duel servers people aren’t running builds you see in team q’s.
You don’t understand a single thing, condition war kill any build without condition remove. shatter mesmer, thief or engi without AR.
The thing is, this build is completely useless in high end tpvp, go watch any top player tpvp, you will never see a condition war on there team, instead they have hambow.
condition war does not bring any burst, a bunker bunk better then condition bunker war and it does not provide any CC.you are encountering a lot of condition wars that’s because you are in the low end rating.
No. I know a very good condition warrior that loses to no one. He only loses to a necro that doesn’t play anymore and muffinz. It’s rare that he loses to them to.
I think nerfing eles or mesmer would solve the problem. They’re just to strong in the current meta.
You’re not that good. Mesmer is one of the worst spvp classes atm.

^if this is what we’re talking about. For the whole duration of the channel there’s a semi-transparent grayish sway/line between you and engineer. Once you see it, count one second and dodge – no ‘spam random dodges’ involved’.
If you get hit you can still stunbreak before you reach that engineer and avoid getting hit.
I would be concern about more intelligent players that bait out your dodge with tool kit stow just to do it 5 seconds later.Clearly I meant from stealth.
You can’t avoid chill nades while the person casting that spell is from stealth.
It’s rng whether or not you dodge randomly at the given moment.
Also, don’t just think i meant chill nades I meant every skill I had mentioned previously.
Maybe if the person in stealth appeared apon using a certain list of skills.
