This is further evidence that temper tantrums can sometimes get you what you want.

If GoM falls to t8 it has absolutely nothing to do with that server’s ability to compete. More a combination of the latest batch of (absurd) server transfers and Anet capitulating to a rather vocal (whiny) group of players bemoaning their position in the tier ladders. This is what is fueling the animosity and negativity that the current t7 servers are experiencing towards the possible upstart usurper.

You couldn’t break out legitimately. Server transfers kitten GoM horribly. Anet mollycoddled t8’s mewling and restructured points system to make you all feel better about yourselves. It’s garbage. You didn’t earn it. Hope you choke on it.

You obviously have no idea what all this is about. Talk about throwing a temper tantrum. At least we can show why there was a problem in the first place. You are just crying over spilt milk here.

As for earning it, I like to let the results on the battlefield speak for themselves. Hopefully I see you out there, I have some pretty distinctive armor so look for the shoulder spikes, horned helm, and dual axes.

Technically, SF dug themselves in to this “hole you can’t crawl out of” in the first place. They have no one to blame but themselves. Had HoD or GoM been LOWER in the rankings, like SF was, then they would be in the situation SF is in.

NO you are doing it wrong

you don’t stop a troll by telling them your big brother can beat them up in a video game, trolling and being good at pvp is correlated but not linked together. You stop them with rhetoric, so in this case you want to call them bad. In order to do this, use quasi plagiarized quotes that run deep with metaphor thus providing an underhanded logos to support the argument that the troll is bad:

“Until the clouds have been parted by the sun, the birds will not fly freely in the winds”

So here we have birds as the free people who want to fly peacefully in the winds, and the clouds as the trolls who are preventing the birds from flying. The sun in this scenario will be whoever this andromeda person is who will interfere with the clouds trolling the birds

If you see Shadow Refuge, CC it. If you don’t have CC, then you deserve to get killed by said thief.

EDIT: If you keep attacking, even while the thief is stealthed, you’ll get attack chains if you ARE in fact hitting them.

I believe so. I was on my Sylvari Warrior and my buddy was on his Human Guardian.

I’m still new to Warrior, but I like to think I’m pretty good. He stalemated my Guardian friend after killing me.

One of the best players I’ve come across, and I think Rashnu would agree with me.

That being said, this is a pretty sick matchup. Love this tier.

I’m scared to even try and fight in EB @ this upcomming reset. I may wear a helmet in case my computer blows up.

No incentive for players new to WvW to help build or kill siege besides the obvious of it helping your server. Why spend time running supply to finish building that arrow cart or catapult in your tower when you could be following the zerg around gathering up WXP?

It was always difficult to get people outside of the regulars to help do the important things like build defensive siege, counter siege, or walk dolyaks because, hey, you don’t get anything for it besides a bit of xp. I know why and I agree with the fact that they nerfed walking dolyaks. But ig people get xp/karma/wxp for killing them, why not offer atleast the same amount of WXP for walking them to a tower.

I may be wrong on this, but i’d just like to hear some other peoples opinions. Other than that the few things I mentioned, I think they did a great job on how WXP is awarded. But, lets reward those doing the boring/important things as well.

Fight-Club should be on for several hours. It starts at 7PM East, but if you arrive anywhere between 7PM to 10PM East, you should see plenty of fights!

As for the concern:
ALL the upcoming matches between DH, HoD and GoM will be tight. That doesn’t mean we can’t take a break to enjoy Fightclub once a week.

I don’t mind if people try to steam-roll the map nobody is there, because we’re all at Fight-Club. Gratz to these people, they will be remembered as good at ‘Player vs Undefended Door’ I guess. And the scores are so tight, few hours won’t make a difference, we’ll fight each other again for weeks to come.

Anyone who’d like good fights, come to Fightclub on GoM Borderlands, south of Champion’s Demense. 7PM East until… very late :-)

The Norn Guardian [LK] tagged with Sorrow’s Embrace armor from HoD, will not be participating. I think I earned my stripes last fight club we had against both Kaineng and GoM.

Plus, I’m not down with the whole “no-staking” rule. Some classes are better at staking, some are better at avoiding said stake.

I’ll henceforth be known as the good “Player vs Undefended Door” until the next fight club I guess. Scores between GoM and HoD are too close at the moment for me to care much about dueling the occasional good player.

EDIT: We’ve been red for going on 4 weeks now. I want to have KRAGtop in my servers borderlands before the end of this year.

I urge you to read this post, started by a valued member of our community if you are interested in Henge of Denravi.

We LOVE getting new people, and actually, from what you described as your ideal server, I think Henge would be a great fit for you. We don’t have queues in our WvW maps. But, at the same time, we always have a fair amount of people on in all of the Borderlands as well as EB.

We’re currently in a nailbiting T7 match with GoM and Darkhaven, with only a few thousand points seperating 3rd from 1st, after edging out Henge of Denravi’s first victory in more weeks than I can count during the 1/11-1/18 match up!

I’m sure GoM or DH would also be excellent choices, but I can only speak on behalf of my home @ HoD, and from my understanding, both servers have recently had a formidable number of transfers (might be incorrect) while our population stayed somewhat similar.

I also urge you to stop by our community website @ www.hengeofdenravi.com and check out the vibe around the forums!

Henge is, and will always be my GW2 home.

I was literally shocked the first week I was on the server after I transferred from Fort Aspenwood. I went to a “losing” server by WvW standards. After about a week worth of play in WvW, I noticed anything BUT the sense of defeat among the community. In fact, if you didn’t check the score, open up your map, or read the weekly wvw thread, based upon the map chat, you’d swear we were winning by a landslide.

Not only that, but people even start to recognize you. Even after a few days, people had an understanding of who you were, and how you liked to spend your time.

This is an excellent community to spend your time playing with, and I look forward to seeing new faces in ALL aspects of our server.

I’ve always looked at it as a harmless thing. No one in any invulnerable spot is contributing to the fight and you have to go really out of your way to get trolled by it.

It wouldn’t be an issue if it weren’t 60 feet away from a supply camp. But it is, which means the 20 minutes your guild, and a few others sat there, the supply camp was under constant threat with no risk/reward on your end.

It’s a glitch. There is no point in exploiting glitches. It’s cheating, plain and simple.

Since I already have two of the three that look worth a kitten in my opinion, I think it’s a kitten poor argument to try to defend the current method of creating one when there’s nothing special about creating it other than looking to the TP to accumulate enough funds in a reasonable amount of time to make one.

It’s not feasible. I doubt a single legendary owner has farmed 100% of their items, or 100% farmed the gold (outside of the TP) to afford items that they did not farm. It simply hasn’t been done. And it won’t be done by anyone since only wannabe elitists seem to truly care about the notoriety of these weapon skins.

Since the main origin of problems for creating a legendary lies with the precursor., leaving the exclusivity up to complete luck or a moving goal post adjusted purely by other players is not acceptable.

I am currently 44 skill points and 80ki’m Karma away from finishing The Moot. I have farmed 100% of it myself including the gold it took to purchase THE Energizer.

Well it seems you break your own rules. One has to also ask how many other rules have you broken currently and in the past.

Yes being able to transfer servers weekly does hurt a lot of people. I allows people to jump ship to greener pastures.

I respected Kain and Ferg because they fought back the whole time. It didn’t matter if they were behind 100K points there were always some Fergs and Kain that were out there taking towers and trying to do something.

SF and HoD are just boring. The only points they have are from break out events, and even in those cases they lose the towers 5 min later. Gasmic wasn’t kidding about our guild getting so bored we went around in a 12 man group with nothing on but our weapons and we were still beating the SF and HoD we ran into.

I am still waiting to see something I can compliment either of these servers on, but alas all I can give them props on is way to ride a break out event and leave.

Post like these are boring and old. If you’re good, you don’t need to tell people you’re good.

As far as compliments go: How about the group of 15 that killed your group of 20 + 5 golems last night? I don’t need to post anything else. We @ HoD are immune to your insults. Seen and heard them all before.

Nice work tonight HoD, it was fun as usual.

Fun stuff in DR BL @ 2:00pm EST. We had 4 defenders in Bluelake Tower and held off a horde of about 30 DR Invaders for an hour. Good stuff guys. DR, you guys are tearing it up ATM.

We’re planning a push later this weekend though, so don’t get too kitteny yet

Nice fight GoM. You guys were pouring it on there for a while. Think the inner northern wall was @ less than 5% when we led a backdoor zerg in 2/3 of your trebs, then dropped a treb west of the garrison to take out the other one, and had a cleanup crew follow the last shot in. Then of course thr new build came out. May have been a blessing in disguise, but we’ll never know.
