obviusly it is worse/harder to use then if it was 360 around you but remeber that chrono provide quickness on a spot. It is just diferent limitation. If your group is not stacked properly they wont get quickness from chrono. With guardian it is the same, you can just stand on the other side of the boss right?
I think that 360 around you would be way too good. Just look at the rotation, to provide 100 percent quickness uptime you need to press 2 keys every 12 seconds (and maybe weapon swap before that)
With expansion comming in a month, everything might soon change.
My idea was hammer guardian. He is not top pick but his rotation is mostly auto atacks, the main thing is to not interupt your aa chain and you dont need hands but either eyes, ears or just timing. He is decently tanky and provides damage reduction to whole party. Also he brings cc that needs to be used in a right moment which means you dont need to use them on cd but when needed (again you need head for this and only use the key when needed)
If i remember correctly, in wow druid was viable tank in bear form and he is wearing medium. You have to understand that mesmer is not tanking by geting hit but by dodging and blocking using his magic.
And it is not the case that specialized is worse then hybrid. You can go full healer but why when those heals are not needed, similary you can play full tank guardian that can never die but why when you can play mesmer and not be as immortal but doing something additional. Hell its the same reason why is berserker chrono more picked then defensive stats, because those defensive stats are overkill and wont make any diference, so why not bring some dps when it is for “free”.

if you want power build, go for berserker sword mainhand and 90 percent of time axe offhand with herald invocations and usualy devastations (or retribution maybe), Second weapon is usualy staff (u are swaping to staff only for breaks) ot maybe hammer for ranged .
For condi build it is usualy invocations + corruptions and one other (i think) with mace mainhand. And one of your legends needs to be demon. Viper stats.
if you want to go for healer build u want invocations salvation and herald usualy with sword/shild and staff, ventari+glint and magi stats
But things might have changed with this patch, didnt have a chance to play on it myself.
Revenant is my first and most played profession. Because of his energy system, his CD can be (and are) shorter. That being said his most optimal rotation (speaking about power) is spaming aa and #2 on cd. If you want class with dificult rotation this is not for you. On the other hand there are alot of situational things you can do.
I used to run shiro/glint but switched shiro for jalis and never went back. You will never have highest dps but with 2 30 s cd heals its very hard to die and you carry so much cc that you can break bosees alone, + you bring many specific party boons.
The whole class is basicaly about balancing skills with upkeep and flat cost

Hi guys,
do you think that with the changes to boon duration herald in some form can make a comeback?
I think that when you can provide 100 percent quickness uptime on whole party you cannot say that they are put there by a mistake
Not me
In my opinion you have much more active role
I have to say i prefer when one player/character is responsible for al the might/quickness/fury/alacrity/protection… everyone can see if you are doing it well/wrog base on your uptime and and also if you just go full damage and hust have boons because you can make the experiance from playing all the clases much more similar i my opinion.
I too prefer comp variability but that should come with multiple characters providing same stuff (quickness) + something that makes them diferent from the other so you have to chose. Thats why i am so excited about quickess firebrand or maybe might stacking renegade (if it works)
Btw if it is the case, i guess minstrell chrono + dps > 2 berserker chrono (the dps loss is not as bad for chrono) so the comp wont change that much
if it is so hard to get 100 boon duration now, maybe the best idea (and i have to say i hate it) is to run 2 full damage firebrands in each subgroup. If dragonhunter can now deal almost 30k dmg and chrono is at 14. With this nerfs, chrono will be even lower and my opinion is that firebrand wont fall as much in terms of damage thanks to grieving stats (and also axe looks good in my opinion)
Hopefully it is not the case
EDIT: Now that i looked at it sigils and runes are not changed so we only need concentration to provide us with 37 percent boon duration (555 concentration) and consumables will provide i guess 150 together so we only need 405, we just have to w8 how much you can get from dublons

Do you have a link to all changes so i can try to modify it or there are no revaled details yet?
Why change stats when you can do it with offensive build? I am not saying it is not viable or anything. I just dont know what you gain in trade for your ofensive power. As i said i never played guardian so i dont know him that well (90 percent of things i am talking about here i basicaly learn this night). Can you explain the changes you would make to zeal/radiance/firebrand?
I get that both variants would have pros and cons. I guess full support variant is better to carry less experianced players and full damage would be better when you can count on your party members (similar to berserkr/minstrel chrono)
The trait that gives reducet recharger ale grants imobilize on final use and on all of them you can see imobilize in final charge exept the healing one so it should be 12 seconds
Btw is loremaster or quickfire better? My first impresion was that quickfire is awsome but maybe beeing able to use tomes without losing the pasive efect might be better

According to the post, it is 12 without any modification. But it is not live yet so there might be mistake/changes.
Another idea is to run shild so the rotation would be heal shild4 heal shout heal shild 4 heal shout but that doesnt look so smooth.
With this you have 2 trait lines free to go damage + the new trait which gives burning on atack to anyone who gets quickness looks rly good in my oppinion.
The idea of feel my wrath was there to give you small room for error but i didnt post it cause it isnt needed for the rotation
With alacrity it is obviously hard to judge exact time but those 5 seconds of internal cd can be calculated by time left on weaponswap
Thanks for your points
Hi guys, i have to say i dont play guardian (he felt kind of boring to me, sry) but i am rly hyped about firebrand. In my oppinion he brings much more depth to this class. After i saw traits and some spells in this topic:
https://forum-en.gw2archive.eu/forum/professions/guardian/All-Firebrand-Skills-Traits
I came up with an idea for 100 quickness uptime on party.
it uses new healing skill “Mantra of solace” and shouts “retreat” and “Stand your ground” with new traits “liberators vow” “Stalward speed” and old “pure of voice”
[when you use a heal skill 2 s of quickness (12 s cd), when you give aegis or stability 2 s of quickness (5 s cd),]
Gear can be clasical chronomancer (sigil of concentration, leadership runes one commander piece/dublons and food) + the new stat combination (Power Condi, fereocity precision)
The rotation looks like this:
Swap and cast prepared mantra (this gives 4 s of quickness and proc “Stalward speed” because it gives aegis – another 4 s of quickness)
Wait 5-7 seconds (so that “Stalward speed” is ready again but you still have sigil of concentration) and cast one of 2 shouts (“Stalward speed”-4 s of quickness)
when mantra is recharged again repeat.
Do you think this enough to consider it instead of chrono in pve?
Yea, you are right. I didnt even consider engi because he is definitely not easy.
engi has an elite spec?
I thought about warrior (easier mechanic and needed for might stacking l) but the reason why ranger won was because in next expansion might be better way to stack might. On the other hand ranger has spot in almost every raid reserved (druid) and also can be used wizhout druid as dps almost on same lvl as the highest damage profesions with elite spec (and they are much harder for beginer). That means that if new specializations are on same powerlvl as old ones he would still be competetive and if theyvare stronger he wold gain advantage because he is strong without oblne
My adivice is ranger, early ge is very easy and in end game he is one of top tier dps and almost auto include healer in raids (druid spec). Also he is only one who can play raids withput elite so that meajs he wont be so dependant on new specializations in next expansion
Hi guys, didnt know if i should put it here or in elementalist section but i guess it can happen on any class.
I was tring sceptre warhorn elementalist. Used 2,5,3 in fire at start of te rotation and got 6 might (as expected) but after overload air i again used 2,5,3 but instead of might i got swiftness (as if i was blasting lighting field which was under the fire field). Then i tried overload air folowed by wildfire and after it fully apeared blasting it with 2 and 3, still i got swiftness. Can someone explain to me why this happen? Does lighting field have priority over fire?
Thanks for answers
