I’m aware that people who bought GW2 during the first quarter will be refunded… and what about the veteran’s – the playerbase who is supporting the game since the very beginning?

The people who supported the game from the beginning got to take part in everything. They got to do the Mad King’s Clocktower with every other player’s body getting in the way, they got precursors from the Ancient Karka, they got to delve into the Molten Facility to try to get jet packs, they met the new set of heroes that are going to be carrying us into Heart of Thorns as they were introduced, they got to experience Tequatl back when it didn’t matter if he summoned bone walls because everyone stood inside them anyway, they got to experience the tension and camaraderie of fighting Scarlet’s Marionette in Lornar’s Pass, they participated in the epic Battle of Lion’s Arch, and they got every episode of the Living Story Season Two for free on top of all that just for logging in.

You’ve supported the game from the very beginning, and you’ve been amply rewarded for it with what I assume has been close to three years of enjoyable gameplay, seeing as you’re still here. That is what you get as a veteran player. That is your advantage. If all of that is meaningless to you, if that’s something that you’re going to brush off because you’re upset that a new player might get a deal now, then perhaps this expansion isn’t for you. Your interests might be better served elsewhere.

Please fix. It’s hard enough dealing with pets as they’ve been. I always keep my pet on passive. This bug is taking away the rest of what little control we have.

Yeah, I use GS when positioning is critical in mob stack (Cliffside). Otherwise just keep hitting “target closest” hotkey repeatedly. You’ll leap outta the fight once in a while, then right back in. You can also turn auto targeting on, but it usually messes me up, so I avoid it most of the time.

I love it for everything except stacking

Exactly! This drives me crazy. Anyone have tips to overcome this. It never fails when stacking I end up flying all over the place if the mob isn’t right on top of me.

I feel like they are trying to find a balance. We have quite a diverse player base. It can’t be easy trying to please everyone. Whether they are succeeding or not, I don’t know. I suppose I’m not as passionate about it as some.

Trains aren’t totally gone. I run FGS when I just want to relax. I’ve been enjoying the pavilion and the bit of coordination that is required. It’s nice to see that come together and get gold every cycle. I suspect folks don’t realize how profitable this event is when in the right instance.

Perhaps my expectations aren’t as demanding. I like that I can log in, determine what my mood is today and what I want to do, and I can go do it.

When and if the time comes that this game no longer entertains me, I will move on to something else knowing I can come back at some point in the future if I want.

I’ve stayed away from PvP in the past because I’m not all that skilled either. However, I’ve been playing the Dragon Ball mini and am having a blast so I am thinking of doing PvP more.

The approach I plan to take is to do some research on viable builds and start working towards one I like.

Other than that, I think it’s just all about getting in there and doing. Practice builds confidence and skill.

If you haven’t tried WvW yet, please come join us at least once. I had been a PvE player up to a couple days ago. I tend to stay away from PvP type game play because I’m not really that skilled a player.

I finished my dailies earlier in the week and thought, “I think I’m going to give this a try”. My long term goal has always been to experience everything the game has to offer at some point. If I want that 100% map completion, gonna hafta do it anyway…

All I can say is WHAT AN ADRENALINE RUSH!

Again, I’m not really skilled. I managed to kill a few and more often than not, I found myself swarmed by players on opposing teams handing me my butt on a platter. I managed to take a few camps by myself, escorted a couple supply cows, etc…

I’m having a blast!

tl;dr – Please give it a try. Everyone contributes to the overall success of the team in some way no matter the skill level. I’ve not felt more part of the server community before giving this a try! Aside from that, when I first started the game about a month ago, JQ ruled the roost. I want to do my part in taking that back.

I’ll hush up now before my tl;dr becomes tl;dr;tl, ermm, something like that…

I just leveled my first toon, a ranger, to 80. You will be surprised how quickly it goes. I’ve only just reached 50% on world exploration. Start planning your build now but keep exploring and keep up with your personal story. Advancement in this game tends to happen by just doing whatever you feel like doing that day…

If you have the time, do your Daily quests everyday. You want those laurels, trust me.

Learn your class skills, dodging, and controlling your pet. Try all of the weapons available to Ranger and use all of them enough to unlock the skills. I went with shortbow primary with axe and warhorn secondary. It works for my playstyle but there are other options.

Read and absorb everything you can on the forums and on http://www.reddit.com/r/Guildwars2/ – both are excellent sources for information.

I have been experiencing a lot of issues of this type. I do alt+tab if I need to look up information, but I have sessions (when I never alt+tab) where the mouse stops responding or if I click on skills, it links to chat (very embarrassing and I go to chat spam jail because of it).

Very frustrating. I really hope they fix this soon. I love the game, but having to re-log every time this happens just won’t do…
