Fight it self is fine its just broken camera and useless aoe indicator that makes the fight way harder, can we get indicator that paints the WHOLE aoe area red instead of these kittened rings that just blends in the ground.
Gave it a try few times when we still had 100nades got up to phase 3. I preferred tool kit for block and slows + elixir S also speedy kits and invigorating speed for permanent swiftness and vigor but in the end all it takes is lot of practice and you probably could do it with just auto attacks.
It doesn’t really matter if you are monitoring your health. You are downed in seconds or less.
It is kind of ridiculous that retaliation hits harder than the flamethrower.
I must admit, as someone who uses the flamethrower and pistol with coated bullets a lot, retaliation is the bane of my existence.
If your dying that fast then you aren’t paying attention or the dmg isn’t coming for retaliation sure FT probably suffers from retaliation more than most other weapons but it’s not as bad as u make it sound.
with retaliation Flamethrower kills you in seconds its stupid…
Only ppl with berserker gear that doesnt monitor their health. With FT your mostly at melee range so gear up that in mind and once you take too much retaliation dmg stop spamming #1, change target’s,heal up and repeat.
My only critique is that you have 45% Critical Chance…. but your added Critical Damage is 0%. Critical’s don’t benefit Condition based damage in any way. And your raw Attack, and the fact that you are using Pistols, doesn’t get you much in the way of Power Based damage (which do benefit from Criticals). Maybe use another Armor than Rabid?
Also, eat some Pizza! It can buff your Condition Duration up to 40%.
Ofc we have use for crit, have u even played engineer? We get both bleeds and burns from critical hits and might stacking doesn’t only benefit your conditions, big part of your dmg as HgH comes from grenade direct hits.
And they don’t take Runes of Altruism. They take Condition Duration runes.
Just for pure curiosity, how does Rune of Altruism work out to be better than the Str/Fire/Hoelbrak choice? Is it only particularly associated with toggling to EG frequently? It doesn’t seem like the Might spreading and Fury add up to the extended duration? Maybe it’s just an ensemble synergy thing?
You only need 2xAltruism for 3 stacks of might and you can use rest 4 slots to w/e you want
Problem with FT is that it gets overshadowed by grenade kit in both pwr and condition dmg also in certain degree by bomb kit in melee range so it’s left as a bit niche kit. But it still can be excellent tool in certain situations I myself have been running with it in wvwvw and just loving it, its fast,mobile and has nice utility, perfect for running with semi-organized groups.
Im running tankish close to 2.5k armor 20k+ hp, might staking build and flame blast usually crits around 4-5k or 6k+ for upleveled’s wihch is pretty darn nice for under 5sec cd aoe and #1 is also strong in they current lag wars we have going on where autoattack is often the only skill we can really use. After running nades both 100nades and HgH for so long FT is just perfect lazymans zerging weapon.

Not sure what kind of builds have u been running but what i have been experimenting with bunker engi, I rarely lost bunker vs bunker node fights u can just out dps/heal most of the other bunker builds with healing bombs. Tho not sure how well it works after latest changes, build I ran was something like

Very nice engineer player, BUT I don’t think one could call it a viable bunker build.
The bombs heal roughly 200-300/s, which put it in the same ball park with warrior using healing signet + adrenal health. I really wouldn’t call that kind of warrior a bunker, even though warrior’s have access to heavy armor and higher health and they can also get a lot of blocking using off-hand sword + shield or perma vigor + swiftness using warhorn.
The problem is: burst and/or knockdown / daze lock will still own that “bunker”.
There are some other even more bunker engineer builds e.g. the tankcat, but that build does very little damage.
Ofc you will fail if you just try to outheal with bombs thats just bonus that will give you some nice sustain + you got 3k armor, 2x stun breaker, 4 sources of protection, blinds, snares, 6xcondi removal, 2xaoe kb ,2xblock, permanent swiftness and vigor if thats not enought bunker for you idk what is.

All rare and exotic dungeon specific runes are account bound.
They shouldn’t be. That’s the point. I shouldn’t miss out on an opportunity to sell something I won’t use, that someone else will, and can be traded when obtained elsewhere. It’s an unnecessary restriction.
Have to agree got atleast full set of each dungeon runes sitting in my bank that i cant use on my alts bcs those are bound to my main, those should be atleast account wide.
Kit refinement used to be bread&butter trait for multikit builds, with the current cd it has 0 synergy with multiple kits, its pretty much worthless on it own now and they should just combine it with some other trait like speedy kits or make it a minor trait.
Speedy kits+invigorating speed = permanent swiftness and vigor
SE has been my favorite token farm dungeon for awhile now mainly bcs its not fotm dungeon for new players like AC or COF and you usually get more experienced party therefore much smoother run+ paths 1 and 3 are one of the fastest paths in game.
Im guessing it will work similar to aion if you have played it, first it loads name plates then models>low res textures>high res textures and it worked pretty well tho game itself ran like crap
Also, how are Engineers even remotely good with Blast Finishers? Almost all of our Blast Finishers are from turrets or other bad utility skills that you really shouldn’t be using just for Blast Finishers.
Engineers has most blast finishers in the game Big Ol’ Bomb, shield #4, EG #4 just to name few
As i understand it dailies are suppose to be an reward from actually playing the game not some afk reward u get when u log in.
So 0 – 150 is what makes melee. That must mean 151 is ranged. I guess that makes d/d elems ranged. Ranged is at least 900. You only have 2 choices: melee or ranged. This is black and white. There is no grey.
So ask the questions.
Can 425 reach 900? No. It can’t be ranged.
Can 425 reach 150? Yes. I can be melee.Since it can not be ranged (and the only other option is melee), then it can only be classified as melee. Melee with a longer reach is still melee. A 2 inch blade has a longer reach than a 1 inch blade and yet both are still melee. A 10 ft pole has a much longer reach than say a 3 ft bat, but it’s still melee because you can’t reach 100 ft with it.

Because now you don’t need to stay at 600 for the detonation. You can detonate at 0 for a blast radius of 240 for more reliable damage (0 flight time is huge).

FYI, it’s lower than rifle. The reason FT get’s compared to bomb is because bomb adhere’s to anet’s philosophy that melee does more damage due to the risk involved with being at melee. The change to FT 2 just solidified its range as a melee kit. For a melee kit (after attaching all its bells and whistles) to do just a little bit less than a ranged weapon (rifle), it’s ridiculous.
Dmg is probably on par with rifle now tho haven’t done the math, rifle has the range and FT has the cone. How did FT2 change anything it still has 600 range and is easier to actually hit now and FT1 is 425 range so thats still over 3x the base melee range.
Why on earth would you use Jump Shot with flamethrower? Jump shot is a MAJOR part of the build for 100nades. It’s not a major part of the flamethrower build.
Why on earth wouldnt you? Power rifle burst+FT consistent dmg works well together. And all of those who complains FT’s low dps compared to bomb kit go test against anything that moves mby you figure it out why there is difference.
Done full run twice now and have to say I like the changes, took few tries to figure out new mechanics. Ghost eater was pain at first run when half of the party didnt even understand english but we finally got it after couple hrs of trying and second run it didnt really take any longer than old boss with experienced group. Other than Grast being a bit too suicidal p3 was better too. Overall i dont think its much harder nor longer than previously tho I can see some pugs having hard time if they havent got used to these mechanics.

What has this wall of text rly to do with spy kits? Basically you are just complaining how content get harder on higher lvl and this is new bcs? or that pretty much every fractal is done wrong, just stop doing it if you hate it that much. 500+ fractals and 60+ lvls later only real use for spy kits I had on dredge fractal just to cut out some time and
occasional stealth ressing.
patch notes specifically mention Tool kit, while it doesn’t work in game. That’s a bug by definition in my book.
Tool kit’s KR doesn’t trigger if you use FT or EG before it so by definition its affected by this change again the patch notes doesn’t say tool kit itself triggers global cd.
This is a bug, in the next build it will prolly be debugged. Then the pull + combo won’t work anymore.
Do you have some source for this claim that it indeed is a bug other than mostly vague patch notes?
As its stands now this patch had 0 impact on 100nades, wth is up with all these fact free posts and do we rly need 10 posts complaining about the same issues, not that i agree with the anets decision but sky isnt falling. This class community is just pathetic.
afaik equipping FT or EG will trigger 10 sec cd on kit refinement thats it, so stop freaking out hardly game breaking.

Yes u can only difference is now when u stow med kit it will swap to your main weapon just like any other kit.
What was the problem with the previous way it worked? It was better than it is now.
The missing line in the patch notes should have not read, “All kits will now behave like the med kit, because it was accidentally a better system.”
And what was so great about it that u cant live w/o? Personally i just always hated that it was the only kit that required me to use weapon swap to get back to main weapon.
U can still spam it as much as u want now its just in line with other kits as it should be so whats the problem?
Yeah, I’m not seeing this 10 second cd. Although I don’t normally use the 100nade build.
So I might be missing something… I can greande barrage and then swap to flamethrower or toolkit and both effects work….
But u cant equip FT and then grenade barrage so im wondering is this how it should work or is the cd just buggy.

Overall some nice stuff for engis in this patch but if med kit trickers that global cd im going to rage and those food nerf was expected since they were way OP.

I have no issues with this fotm complaint of “elitism” so projecting much? My only issue is with people who thinks that things aren’t fair until they get special treatment
Oh pls don’t come here to tell big part of the community that what they do is wrong bcs they aren’t doing like you want. Im in no obligation to to make your gaming experience more enjoyable at the cost of my own. I run mainly high lvl groups bcs that’s how i like it and i suggest you find a way to enjoy the content too w/o bugging others.
Cant w8 these issues to get fixed must say targeting in this game is one of the worst I have seen in MMOs. Bad tab targeting, always missing cursor combined with forced right click targeting so that u lose target every time u try to turn camera, can make group fights a nightmare, srsly who ever came up with the idea that u need to be able to select target with BOTH mouse buttons should be fired.
That kind of attitude, that sub-80s are useless, is what is being decried here. Sub-80 charas are not useless. They can pull their own weight.
Tbh 9/10 times they can’t unless it’s alt, so when you pick 80’s only its more likely that they have ran content before and knows what to expect, has all traits, skills etc. Sure if you just run content for fun there’s really no harm to help out some “noobs” but if you want to farm content as smooth as possible then taking low lvl’s is a risk.
Weird that you got kicked when rest of the team wasn’t willing to go the extra mile so that u don’t have to…

They could tone down cleave dmg a bit imo, warriors should have high single target dmg im fine with that but their dmg shouldn’t outshine other classes in every situation.
Well, i dont mind boss is not pug friendly, but i do mind that it need specific builds / classes to get her down. Before we could down her with 2 glass canon elems 1 thief glass and guardian + necro. Now with same setup, same group who downed it before patch few times, we failed.
Did it with pug couple days ago took couple tries wasn’t that painful. Had guardian, ele, engi, berserker thief and warrior so nothing special. Stealth’s were mby 15-20 sec apart only had few issues with with sparks deagroing other than that it seemed fine.
Why is this issue for you make a party with like minded people and hell even skip all bosses u can and just spank trash if u so enjoy it. Why should rest of the party waste their time just to please u if they dont want to?
Both are doable with a bit of cordination, not all content have to be toned down for pugs to afk through them.

Imo if u pick up the turret it should cut atleast half of the cd and turret agro should be reduced seems mobs are always focusing on them.
Prices are as high as people are willing to pay, if u think its too much then stop buying them, prices will drop when who ever is controlling them starts losing money.
Make sure your mailbox isn’t full or you wont see them
I have noticed this too in last weeks, it only takes couple minutes before u get overbid no matter if its 3am or 3pm always with same amount of items and gold, in the end i just gave up bidding and drove the prices so high that theres barelly profit margin.
Crafted my clovers last night , took 251 shards and used 2×10 recipe(no clovers) and rest with 1x recipe. Got 7 lodestones, 335 T6 and 94 crafting materials.
Who feels we have seen this topic before?

While the influx of ecto almost certainly helped to keep the price stable for a while, it did not cause a significant decrease, meaning that we can’t be “returning” to the norm.

Begining of december price was peaking close to 37s after that supply increased dramatically and price dropped to low as 25s and would have continued to drop w/o bans, after bans supply has steadily dropped to pre exploit lvl and so has price returned too, so how about you actually look at the big picture instead of pulling data out of your …
Second, just citing inflation ignores a critical factor – demand for ectos has been measurably increased since the introduction of FotM and several key recipes which require large amounts of ecto, from 50 to full stacks. The introduction of more and more ecto-guzzling recipes without a corresponding increase in potential sources of ecto (indeed, a decrease due to certain changes made to craftable rare/exotic recipes not related to the snowflake exploit) will result in continuing increase in demand.
There is potential source, its called salvaging, demand of ectos just makes it more or less profitable.
