i prefer to be with zerkers than pvt / clerics… even the naked TA run (with dps build / zerk trinkets) I did ended up being faster than some PUGs with full gear….
And to me, ppl that should not be using zerks are new comers to encounters. But once you know them… not going zerk is pulling the group down ^^.
Finally, like many said, being zerk does not mean you can’t have a partial support build or use support utilities like WoR / SoA / …

As for the rest I partially agree. Mesmer should port if they gonna get hit by AOE or SS for the simple reason that it will allow teammates to dodge without having to get of the reviving process. Thief should port for the same reason, and also to get under him if a mesmer or guardian gonna bubble.
Emanuel, double dodge inside of cage and hope the dodges do go in the right direction. I got him to like 10% before utter fail in dodging killed me ^^
Also if you go offhand sword and he is gonna cage, move a bit away from him and use #5. It blocks a few hits. But if you are in melee range, it only blocks one (no idea why though and it’s not like I aim to test that theory, too dangerous).
Oh and why do you guys go for Dolyak signet instead of balanced stance ? I like the swiftness buff better than the damage reduction one especially since I use the healing signet on Lupi now
Yeah, I hate getting him to the wall… Just because pretty much everytime he gets in there he resets at phase switches…

i actually ran from metrica province to gendara field and LA on foot with a lvl 6 toon. That was epic did not even know about portals or that a bank was in Rata Sum
Well, I get pawned by the AOE everytime can’t seem to get him to launch a projectile or 2 before SS or AOE
I was just asking in reference to Muffin video and the fact I got my kitten handed to me earlier this evening trying to do it… until I saw that the NPC wasn’t anywhere to be found in the room ^^. (I know the last grub pops on nearest toon )

The only thing I would have done differently are:
- Going for heal turret and combos (#4 of shield explosion for area heal). Though it might be bad in terms of time required to do everything to get the 8k heal (around 2 seconds)
- Gone melee in P1 to get grenades to hit locusts and lupicus at the same time ^^
- Gone with zerk instead of condi (though I own both sets)
Gotta make a video with mine some times once I won’t be lagging anymore though.

But beware Gary, if you lag, you might still get caged in P3 because the server thinks your are someplace else.

And for you guys soloing him on warrior, I have a quick question Are you able to solo him if the NPC is dead without using stability ? (I always die at P1 switch if the NPC is dead and I don’t have stabililty)
Mesket, skipping is hard, look at the number of ppl that can’t do it So it is actually the dungeon hard mode
And if they don’t allow skipping anymore maybe they should first fix the mobs ? (looking at you stupid ooze in arah for instance)
Well anet can fix that if the fix other stuff:
- If you could not stack
- there should not be skill bugs / lags / delays … looking at you warrior offhand sword blocks that you don’t know if it activated or not so you just press over the button again and get pawned … or mesmer distortion or warrior shield block not blocking and all…
- and should not have spell chains from mobs that can’t be dodged when they are on you (yeap, looking at you Alpha aoe + circle cones that come right after the other you don’t even have time to dodge again) especially in a game where dodging is available
If they did learn, then I hope they do both of these at the same time.
You’ll still be able to trivialize most of the content anyway. Alpha hurts barely in his first circle of the cone thingy as zerk anyway. it takes like 5 of them to down a warrior zerk.

nah sometimes it happens, it’s just a pain ^^ even with full groups sometimes you won’t get any rapidfire at all in P3. He will just chain cage + aoe leach + targeted leach.
just saw a P3 sold for 7 gold. I was like: OMG even P3 is selling now

I agree with Dub, I don’t really like 30/0/0/10/30. And I don’t feel like having +15% chance of crit being valuable enough, you can already hit near perma fury and 85% to 90% chances to crit. Also in 30/25/0/0/15, you get +10% more damage from bleeding mobs (which means always) which means +10% more on crits too. You also get a bit of vulnerability and might

it does, look at the video from Sandy, he uses it at P1 transition but like spoj said, don’t rely too much on it ^^
and for the axe thingy, you need to start right when he starts the animation because the first half second, you don’t protect from anything, look closely at the spell bar
I can just get a group and do the path no selling XD
you can protect your group from aoe projectiles on Lupi though P3 protection is really hard to pull ^^
I prefer Illu than ooze I find path 3 skipping way easier than path 1. But then again, depends on what prof you take. I especially hate doing P1 on mesmer
It was my understanding & feeling that doding under feedback was bad due to projectiles not being reflected. Was I wrong ?

Is it just luck or you actually are able to time them so that the AOE (P2&3) are reflected ?
I did multiple hours of the same dungeon. I spent pretty much all my time in arah, and I loved getting new players to the dungeon, making them discover it and all.
Now I run it with the guildies and never go with PUG’s anymore. And the reason I ran it so much is because I liked it, I also liked the fact that it was easy to gear up my alts with the arah armor.
So all in all, with this patch:
- I don’t run with PUGs / newbies anymore => less dungeons for everybody
- I don’t level alts anymore
- I play less (a good thing ^^)
even I started doing it… before I would not even have thought about it. But with the token nerf, at least you get something out of running the pathes more than once
and you forgot the 8 seconds from Balanced Stance

Use steal to get out You have ample time to get back to lupicus once the big aoe leach red circles diseapears anyway Especially if you are using daggers or shortbow.
And if I remember right #5 shortbow can also get you out of the cage
Lupi aggro seems to focus from first to last:
- high condi damage (when my engi had his condi equipment he was so loved by Lupicus took all the attacks. On the zerk equipment, I am so free to do whatever I want) (tried it with same group just to check ^^). I also know a few necros having a hard time being so loved. Love is tough!
- high toughness, which is why knight guardians get some too
- the rest
Arah path 2 & 3 (specific classes for 3 though) (and without exploits)
TA Up as guardian works though spiders stone is a pain
Others are easily duoed (CM 1&3, SE 1&3, CoE if exploit still works to pass lasers, TA F/F)
Some can be trioed (CoF 3, TA F/U, Arah P4)
Quadro: all of them maybe even CoF1, i really need to check if pets can actually kill the thingy or not some times, or if they can act as a control on a pillar using zone defense.
Also, look up some dungeon naked run, might help you in understanding how you can actually bring low level players / newbies to runs
I divided by pretty much a factor of 3 the number of dungeon I run. In addition, I don’t even bother anymore going with PUGs. I do my dungeon with guilds and friends.
And am supposed to be one of the mentor for the arah LFM guild… yeah right… this patch kinda killed me on being a mentor since i gain absolutely nothing of helping new players in any dungeon
Adding to what people have already said, a lot of bosses cleanse conditions, subject alpha, CoF P3 boss, and Simins on top of my head. Whereas I have never seen a boss use endure pain or something like that.
Canach … could be killed with conditions but not direct damage
I am far far away in an other galaxy.
Also to add to what the others said before, conditions build kill over TIME, while direct damage killed at the time you hit. If you take only condition damage => fights are long. If you take only direct damage => fights are short.
The only thing I like as a condition is vulnerability, a few bleed and a bit of burning since there are some combos for warriors / elems when the mobs have these.
But no need to have more than one condi build player in a dungeon group.

Well as of today I can also see it work like this:
- team runs it once for 60 tokens
- team runs it a second time, then all but dungeon leader leaves, and they get 4 golds out of their second run
Yeap, got kicked once on a P4, not a P2…
P2 ain’t really that hard either. I think P3 is kinda harder to solo (boss wise)
- Bella => safe spot does not matter, you can just out range her all the time and bring one anticondition for the burning, just in case
- Abomination => you can just stack guns before aggroing the boss (10 of those are enough for a zerk war). On engi you can just leave him be in frenzy mode and reflect the rock he throws XD.
- Lupicus => can be soloed
- Alphard => can be soloed if you have reflects, and you can outrange him + stack clones using LOS
- Brie => does not do damage, signet of healing on war is enough to counter the damage ^^
And I agree with Dub, they should really fix the safespot / exploits

Wethospu.6437, if the point of creating alt is to play with it, which i whole heartadly agree with, then not being able to switch toons while in dungeon would also be a solution. It would also fix that bug where if party leader switches, you all get kicked
Also not allowing a switch would be dangerous and make dungeons more elitists than they are today. Since sometimes I do get my guardian / mesmer out to carry PUGs in Arah / CM
