Just OC-ed mine to 3,71 Ghz.. will try out today.

Else i kinda will check for a i5 or i7 later this year…

I got the Coolermaster Hyper TX3 Evo air cooler for my CPU.

Internet connection is not failing… I tried running it right after the crash and its oke. The entire screen just freezes. My mouse is able to move and stays in the GW2 shape.
Maybe thats CPU related to….

What could be a recommendation? Upgrade it to 8350? Or should OC-ing be enough then?

well yes saying “you didn’t even OC it” or “I give 1$ for the cpu” is a stupid comment..

but back to the rest;
When i get back from work i will check some of the given information, however the things i allready know is the following:

- Performance is only lacking when changed map and it has to load the environment, not when it’s busy with mobs/events/players or many many AOE attacks.
- CPU goes not to 100% (not at all)
- Temps of CPU and GPU are perfectly fine (will check exact temps later today)
- No really background progs are running, none additionals at least
- Tried game on 2 different SSD’s, so I think it’s not that either
- My specs are better than recommended specs

The game really randomly hangs. Sometimes its in PvE (e.g. dungeons) or just in a city typing. The funny thing is.. every time the WvW get’s resetted (in my case Saterday morning at 01.00 am) and play WvW it never gives problems; no performance lacking or hanging. Even in the busy start in Eternal Battlegrounds…

I would like to see this as well.. it kinda completes the game guildwise :-)

Yes dueling/party pvp and checking gear ftw!

Dude, if you want to answer to my question please don’t start with “i put my 1$ for this CPU”… really it’s pointless… The same for BF3/Bo2 aren’t high end games and Metro is better…. or “You didn’t even OC it”… really pointless and kinda childish……

as for the requested extra info:
It’s the AMD Phenom II X6 1100T Black Edition with a 3,3 gHz speed…

I have an extra screen where I monitor my CPU usage, Mem usage, Graphic usage…. and it’s never really high when playing….

PS. Oc-ing a CPU without special cooling (like water cooling) is kinda pointless anyway…

I didn’t wanna read the entire topic… but a mount is just freaking epic!
If I go online with my cool looking warrior and it would sit on a huge lion or pansered bear… i would feel like god! Even if it doesn’t add any stats (faster running would be nice but still) it would be awesome!

Imagine:
- Lil funny Asura on a plush griffon or a moa
- A big Norn Warrior on a panzered bear or oakheart
- An Elementalist on a magical mount
- A human on a big Charr

It would rock!

Combining exotics are still better that way.
Masterwork trash only gives limited stats… even if you up them it would only give e.g. +power while Exotics gives you Power Vitality and Thoughness….

But yes the legendary would be different because a legendary weapon is useless at this point…. an exotic weapon is as good as a legendary… Unless ArenaNet ups the stats of a legendary, then you can combine legendaries to become truely overpowered.

Every time I turn around my character or go to a new map it has to load the environment. In this time, the performance is very low. I don’t have this issue with other games and verified some known solutions allready. Any an idea what the cause could be?

This is my PC specs:

CPU: AMD Athlon Phenom x6 1100T
Motherboard: Gigabyte GA-990FXA-UD3
RAM: Kingston HyperX 16GB ddr3 – 1333
VGA: Asus ENGTX560 Ti DCII TOP/2DI/2GD5 (is in 16x slot and latest driver)
HDD: SSD 120gb OCZ Vertex 3 (read 550mb/s write 500mb/s)
Power: CoolerMaster Silent Pro 700 Watt
OS: Windows 7 64 Bit

Internet connection: 60mb/s

I don’t have any problems with high end games such as Call of Duty Black Ops II and Battlefield 3. Also Diablo 3 and World of Warcraft (offcourse deïnstalled and bought GW2 haha) worked perfectly.

Besides this problem, the game also randomly hangs (once a day or so) and then I have to restart the game.

Well depends, in my opinion, of you like PVP/WvW or PvE. I like Necromancers in generally a lot, however in Guild Wars 2 I have none. A necromances is in my opinion and experience a strong PvE class. The summons are nice and strong against other mobs.

Since you can use the summons to tank, I guess it’s quite easy to level as well.

When you like PvP/WvW more then PvE (like I do), a warrior would be a better choice. This since the summons of a necro are pretty much useless against other players.

I like my level 80 warrior a lot in WvW and it looks awesome (in my opinion better looking than a necro).

I saw this working in other games and in my opinion it would be a nice idea for this game as well. After reaching level 80 and having your gear set, there is not much to fight for. You choose the dungeon for your weapon and armor and do this dungeon about 25 times so you have your gear complete.

The Idea:
A nice addition could the be following to increase your armor and weapon stats to gain advantage in WvW and PvP:
The idea is to combine weapons and armors, but these should be exactly the same. In my case my Warrior has a Ghastly Greatsword on level 80. If I want to increase the stats the following should be done:
1. I need an extra Ghastly Greatsword on level 80 (exact same)
2. I combine this one with my current Ghastly Greatsword on level 80
3. I can either certain stats or all stats to +1
4. The Greatsword goes to “level 2”
5. In order to increase the stats again I need 2 “level 2” Ghastly Greatswords (so 2 regular more)

We have more to work to and you can still keep increasing the stats. Since you can’t buy any of those stones in the Auction house you really need to work for that 1/2…. stats.
These stats could be e.g. increased to 10 or 20.

Same counts for armors, accesory and so on.

Why this?
After level 80 and having your dungeon armor set there is not much to work for. You can get a legendary but it’s only for the looks. An increase of the level cap could be an idea, but everyone worked so hard to get the level 80 gear it is not really nice to increase it every (half) year. So there should be something to work on after level 80 so you can increase your stats so you get advantages in WvW, PVP and PvE.

Since this is allready implemented in other games we can see it is working.

It would be nice… so not every warrior has just the same greatsword..
It’s a nice way to build your gear how you want and be better and stronger even the rest.

Nice idea! What about 2 vs 2 or 5 vs 5?

I hope the Commando character will actually be a real one soon. It looked awesome, but sure if it is possible.

Increasing level cap would be nice since there is not much to play for if you are 80 with top gear. You could get a legendary, but those are not increasing any stats and costs to much time.

Ability to choose your own weapon skills would be nice. So 1 weapon type have several weapon skills and then you can choose 2/3 per weapon of it.

Good suggestion, it would make the guild more efficiënt. However not really a high prio for me :-)
