Is there really none out there?
I’m in a great guild atm, but when i’m on in the early hours of the morning, nobody is online!
I’m looking for a guild that has people online at unconventional hours, roughly about 2:00-6:00am.
Maybe a guild with a lot of american players on a Europe server would work?
Time Zone Is BST or GMT + 1. I think? I’m pretty awful with time zones.

I had the same issue with freezing in the launcher as everyone else seems to have, I managed to fix it with the “-email -password -nopatchui” commands.
However I just thought I’d post here that the game seems to crash when I start playing around with the trading post (which doesn’t work either) I don’t think the issues are related, but just thought I’d post anyway.
time limited. Next Halloween.
Yeah, but it wasn’t Halloween, it was Wintersday and it doesn’t seem like it will be a seasonal Christmas thing?
I hope it is though =[
So… I was going to buy the Grenth Hood skin from the Gem store, but unaware that it wasn’t a permanent item, I thought it would be fine to buy at a later date when I had the money.
But to my great disappointment, it’s not there anymore… I’ve had the same old primeval amour since I first hit 80 and I had been planning out a really awesome looking Grenth style.
Does anyone know if this will be for sale anytime in the future? maybe next Wintersay or something?
I’d pay double if you could just let me get it Anet PLEEEEEAAASE TAKE MY MONEY!
I can understand actual seasonal items like Wintersday weapon skins being exclusive, but the Grenth hood was just an awesome normal thing that isn’t there anymore?
I will give you something to ponder..
Everything is a challenge if you are terrible at the game.
:D
You just blew my mind… It’s time to take my armour off and play in HARDCORE MODE!
What about the mini dungeons?
I’m looking to things to do by myself. If they had instanced mini dungeons, i would be happy to challenge myself to solo them.
Who played Gw1 and decied to go back to the Great Northern Wall mission to challenge yourself to defeat all the char at the end?
Well i did, and i’m looking for more random challenges like that to complete in Gw2.
For example soloing certain bosses in dungeons.
I’ve killed the spider boss in Ascalonion Catacombs explorable, which was pretty easy as a Guardian.
I’ve seen video’s of people soloing Lupicus, but that’s a bit too time consuming for me, and actually getting to that part in the dungeon would still require a group of people.
So yeah, anybody know of anything to be considered a challenge that would be considered difficult to solo?
I think it would be best to just join an already active guild with upgrades and such.
Don’t give up though, keep trying to contact the inactive leader and keep hassling Anet.
When i saw the title of the post i actually laughed because it all sounded like a comical situation XD, but honestly i know how upsetting it must feel. Luckily you can be in 2 guilds at once, just try to move forwards but at the same time don’t give it up.
Well i was going to comment saying it was an appropriate name, since the mystic forge only seems to give me crap. But you seem to have gotten lucky, is there a video of it or something? How much money’s worth did you put in?
Guardian is my favorite, because i can destroy enemies head on and do massive aoe.
But i’ve also leveled a thief and Ele to 80.
Elementalist is a very fun profession to play i like the abilty to switch between 4 different skill sets.
Thief is pretty fun but i found that it’s not too great for solo playing, not bad, just not amazing.
I think what you’re actually asking for is an Elona expansion. In which case i’m sure a lot of people are all thinking the same.
Happened the same except we were not kicked because I was team leader and it would wipe the whole party.
People demanded that we bug that boss, I said no and they started hating, I told them I’m party leader go ahead and kick me so we’re all back to LA, they shut up.
I could have kicked them all right before final chest but I’m not a bad person.
But if I wasn’t team leader they would have kicked me.Kind of sad that cheating goes unpunished while kicking a non-cheater is ok.
Is it a bug to jump up and down on that boss, what happens?
I’m with you when it comes to not abusing exploits, when you have a perfectly capable party with good equipment, whats the point in doing them.
Well then i think it needs to be brought up again, it’s just not ideal. The more it’s discussed the less it can be ignored. =]
It has recently come to my attention that the 2 person vote system used in dungeons is not good, not good at all.
I was just happily playing fractals level 10 with my one of my guild buddies and 3 other people i didn’t know. 2 of those people(clearly friends) were unpleasant to say the least. They kept boasting all the time about how easy it was compared to the super high levels they’ve done, and just had an all round bad attitude to everything.
I’m not petty enough to bring that up however, I just played the through dungeon normally.
But in the third mission with the stone giant in shackles, against the Legendary Archdiviner they were saying to “jump up and down on the boss”
Now i’m not an expert at fractals, but i’m pretty sure jumping on that boss doesn’t do anything, it’s not the kind of mechanic Anet would ever put in a boss fight.
I assume it was possibly a way to stop knock back after he gets his hammer back, but that’s not a problem when I have 2 stun breaks and stability.
When the unpleasant person was freaking out like a little kid saying “JUMP ON THE BOSS MORON!” I replied saying “I’d rather not.” To which him and his friend instantly kicked me, completely uncalled for and unfair.
So I just wasted an hour of my life completing 3 missions in fractals, only to be kicked by some raging children because I didn’t idiotically jump at a boss which they had superstitions about…
The problem is, 2 person kicking is not ideal, it’s not a majority vote. But I have very little in terms of suggestions, the best I can come up with is boosting it to 3 people. I would appreciate some thoughts on what you guys think.
You should have gone for the RP heavy servers, like Tarnish Coast.
The city is pack with RPers in Taverns and city-scape.
It’s not really RPing that i want to do though, I’m still in it for the gameplay, dungeons and WvW and such.
It would just be nice to see normal players fill cities the same way as lions arch.
But I will guest over to those servers and see what it’s like, when it’s updated of course.
The reward for killing enemies as part of the events + the money for actually completing the events should be enough to cover WP costs, money isn’t really a problem, for people who do it for fun.
It would also be designed for the event to stop being advertised when the event becomes more than 65% complete(or something like that).
I’ve been thinking more about it, obviously there is far too many events to have npc’s alerting for all of them so it think it should be worlds events and maybe large group events.
Also mini dungeons are underused, there should be npc’s that give quests to complete/recover items from the end of mini dungeons. Just like any normal quest, from any normal MMO, It can help you find them. People complain there’s nothing to do endgame, this will help people find things to do.
If there was any flaw to be picked at with this, it’s the fact that dynamic events give very little reward for completing if you’re level 80.
I think there should be 1 time rewards for every event. But that’s a different issue.
It makes me sad when i go to my home in Divinities Reach… It’s such a beautifully detailed city yet it feels empty when i go there…
So much effort has gone into creating so many huge and amazing cities in Gw2 but they go unseen by many because the game is designed in a way that doesn’t require you to be there apart from a few personal story quests.
I would like them to be:
- more lively populated and have more of a social community feel to them.
- a place where adventurers can meet and party up before going on there adventures.
- a place where i can be more immersed in the world without literally role-playing.
Basically i want them to have more of a purpose!
My suggestion is simply to make event alerting npc’s for dynamic events be inside the cities as well. Maybe place npc’s in certain places to initiate some events?
Example: An npc run’s round divinities reach pleading for help, for a giant is attacking a village in Gendarran Fields! If you speak to him he will mark where it is on your map. Go and kill him and come back.
It probably won’t happen, but I can’t think of any reason for it not to be implemented.
I’ve got 100% world completion, but i’ve barely scratched the surface of all the fun events there are in the world to be completed and it’s not in my nature to run around in circles hoping something will pop up for me to do so i think this suggestion is 2 problems solved in 1 small adjustment.
I can see a Lancer profession as a real possibility, but not quite the way you have envisioned it. I think it would work better with more emphasis on the jumping skills rather that being mounted, but the mount might make for a fun elite skill.
I’d be happy as long as it has 2 handed pole-arms with swiping as well as stabbing animations.
It indeed has been a great week, i love it when the scores are so closely matched.
I feel that AG are getting better every week. It makes my happy to be so close to beating AM after all those times we have lost badly to them. I hope we can keep it up!
But let’s not to forget about JS who out of the blue, went on a rampage on our borderlands last night! If you feel like doing that again, do it to AM next yeah? =D
Best week for WvW so far i think. Come one AG we can do it!
I recently had a problem finding the last area in Kryta to uncover, despite having all the Krytan map completion maxed out i only had 177/178.
So i searched online and saw many people were having the same issue and nobody really had any advice except “Look harder for uncovered map”. So after going crazy looking for my last area i just came up with a pretty simple way of finding your missing areas.
This only really works if you have 100% map completion.
- Go to http://wiki.guildwars2.com/wiki/Location
- Click on a map in your region you’re trying to get the explorers achievement on and then scroll down till you get to a row where the “Map completion” column has nothing but “—” in it. (For example in Kryta – Queensdale – Windloss Delves has nothing in the Map completion column.)
- Then you just search your own map and if you’ve already been there repeat the process.
Hope it helps!
