Hmm FR on ROF certainly had fun being sneaky and taking many points on Dzagonur last night – 4 camps – 2 towers – 1 keep helped push ROF into 2nd place at the reset but ya can’t wvw be turned off at like 2am – 8am would make WVW a much better and competitive place as ROF guys went to sleep! After all we are euro servers so noone should really complain about shutting wvw down for those hours !

I wish ROF attacked more then sit back and defend ROF inviting pure numbers to our borderland on a reset night.

Furious Rising sounds like a good fit for you guys although we are on the ring of fire server.

We have many active members no less then 25 online throughout most of the day and from mid afternoon to midnight we fluctuate from 50-70 online depending on guild events. You don’t need to worry that this is to large though as everyone is a valued member and we have a dedicated TS3 server we use to its full potential.

A avg week for us
Monday night – WVW
Tuesday night – PVE dungeons (focus on some of the less well done paths)
Wednesday night – Guild missions
Thursday night – pvp tournament / free night (dung runs)
Friday night – pvp tournament / free night (dung runs) / we join in with wvw reset
Saturday – free day / night
Sunday – afternoon of guild activity either guild missions or wvw or guild event

All the above normally last for couple of hours and is our ‘planned’ events they are not mandatory to attend but are there for people to join in. (WVW for example we have had 40-45 of us) Other then above there is generally always 1 , 2 or 3 runs happening at any one time.

We are a fairly mature guild and friendly with a strong active leadership and one that is not just in it for ourselves we want to see the guild grow and value every single member! We are always keeping eye on members incase any members also want to step up and help lead such a great guild!

Although the above sounds fairly stiff we are not a hardcore guild our guild ethos is to allow all members to see all content without being pressured to do things they dont want to do i would say though a big core is definitiely semi hardcore / hardcore players but we try to keep away from elitism as mentioned above everyone is valued member!

We rarely drop below 25 players online and at peek times 6pm – 11pm we have 50-60 online. Dont worry about it being too big though everyone is valued member and we have a dedicated guild teamspeak server we fully utilise!

Being so big allows all members to enjoy all GW2 has to offer without the need to feel any pressure to do something you do not want to do so your periods where you may need to reduce your play time is cool with us also.

We hit hills at 7pm GMT Skwas – ICON dont start till much later so you probably missed some of the action at hills earlier in the night

“beating up 30 people with a 10 man group” hmm hiding behind siege weapons and how many arrow carts.. When we ran back to bridge before hills and you came down we very quickly pushed right through you. I am not knocking your spirit and desire to defend your borders but wasn’t a 10 v 30 fight :P

Don’t get me wrong TEO are a good outfit and I think wasted on WSR wish you guys fancied to make a bit of a go at things – ROF is close to going up a tier and well I for one would love to work alongside you rather then against

Please look into Furious Rising on ring of fire server – We are a pretty big guild but don’t let that worry you as everyone has a place and is a valued member. Being a big guild means there is always something going on , we do planned guild events for example a wvw guild event on a planned night we have 40-45 players turn up. But on the other hand if no guild events going on there always the choice of 2 or 3 different missions or pvp teams being ran or even a random wvw task force springing up.

Our guild ethos is to allow all players the opportunity to see all content GW2 has on offer without pressure to make people do things they dont want to do. This seems ideal for you as you would always find something to do with us when you have the time to get on and play

The leadership is UK based but we rarely have less then 30 people online and at peak UK hours we have on average 65 online. We do seem to attract many couples that play together as our guild ethos seems to fit in well with couples wanting a friendly active community to be a part of.

Paigey – any reason to be WVW focussed solely? my guild is pretty huge we have 60-80 online from 6pm GMT – 11pm GMT and off peak we rarely go below 25-30. Leadership is also based in the UK.

An average week with Furious Rising is normally

Monday – WVW guild event
Tuesday – Fractals / Dungeons
Wednesday – Guild missions
Thursday – PVP
Friday – WVW reset server alliance event
Saturday / Sunday – Instances / random WVW’s / guild missions

And these are just our planned events…..for example if you were online Thursday and wanted to take a team into WVW by a quick shout out in guild chat you would probably get 10-20 people step into WVW.

Check it out if your interested in one of the most active PVX guilds in GW2 and maybe apply on our website for an invite. Obviously if you are still strongly wanting a wvw focussed guild my suggestion would be expanding your search from only UK to euro guilds using english language.

Starting a brand new guild a level 1 is only going to take more time to re build and get it to the required level and you would need it to be quite big and as you say its a ‘sideproject’ well as you know getting a guild to guild missions etc needs big focused guild so its not a surprise you got little response really !

On other hand plenty of big guilds out there that have fantastic communities and are really friendly and helpfull so why not just join one instead of dragging people into a ‘sideproject’ waste of your time and a waste of their time!

Fun night for us ROF – Furious Rising (FR) we hit Arborstone hills with our strong force but skipped supplies for a surprise element and relied on having a very organised zerg team and then we took all camps and towers surrounding keep.

Big battles with whiteside and people feeling confident we decided to move to whiteside to try take bay and had inner gate to 20% but again due to skipping supplies we simply ran out of supplies and your gate went up to 100%. By this time our main force and dwindled in numbers a little and you obviously called on your server for help as it didnt take long and I think must been 30 WSR guys pushed us out and then suddenly there was atleast 60 WSR which finished us off..either way a very good show of defence from the initial WSR guys until your reinforcements arrived.

hmm my guild uses the guild wide buffs all the time , we also have a active leadership that run wvw guild nights / fractal progression groups / instance farming / map completion events / pvp events – something going on every night…gives a lot of people in my guild opportunities to see all the content GW2 has to offer in a team environment that perhaps they would not have thought they would have done or enjoyed otherwise.

If your asking why be in a guild my answer is that your in the wrong guild !

We went to WOW in 2005/6 and hit the raid scene – always hitting the highest possible content without ever enforcing raid attendance or dkp system – people turned up and raided because they wanted to rather then feeling they had to ! After several years on WOW we moved to Runes of Magic but the free to play style quickly showed why it was free and so we prepared ourselves for GuildWars2 which we now call home!

Guildwars2 activity – Haven grown from a core 8-9 founders we now have a roster size of 275 members, between 95-105 unique player log ins per day, and peek time we easilly surpass 50 online at same time. We are an adult led guild and keep our guild community polite, positive and friendly. Led by a very organised, passionate officership of around 8 players we remain one of the most active guilds on the Ring of Fire server and throughout GW2 !

TBH if you cant lead dungeons that is one of your issues so my advise would be to learn some easy ones like AC or COF ..Furious Rising is my guild on Ring of Fire server ..we started with a core group of 8 of us and now we have a roster of 270 members and yesterday had 105 unique log ins and also 35ish people turn up for a WVW event…

It is not easy and you must devote your gaming life to ensuring your guild is active – I can practically solo AC explore path 1 for example on my ele (well can easilly carry 4 new lvl 35’s through it) so we recruit in lowby areas and run AC explore path 1 as soon as they get 35 to show them how to play an instance.

Most of our lvl 80’s joined when they were ‘new’ to GW2 and have grown in the guild and we now have 8 strong officers and 8 senior members to help carry the weight but to start with you need to have 2 clear months where you sacrifice your own time and money (investing in a teamspeak or vent channel really really helps build guild community and good for successful runs)

Remember moral plays a huge part so dont get in a group with 5 lvl 40’s and try doing fractals as your first mission, play it safe and do a run you know you will win, people like winning not losing! Dont jump the gun keep it steady and as a leader you will need to sacrifice your own personal gain but remember building a guild has its own personal satisfaction.

Seems we had a bit of a stalker last night then :P

Was a good move on our golems as we would of taken Bay easily but you only pushed us onto your own borderland.. We aim to take heat away from ROF or EB while capping what we can so think it worked!

Hehe one of most fun nights in wvw for my guild Furious Rising (FR) we began with a 5 golem raid party event which was quickly taken down I beleive by a XT on ROS zerg force in Blacktide borderlands.

Annoyed us a treat so we decided to take hills on ROS borderlands and hold right side of the map, huge fun especially when you guys came to get it back from us and our last stand in lord room , speeches were made as you were battering down last gate and our impending doom was imminent!

Warm welcome to those of you who have joined our ranks recently – with only few days ago my one and only /bump !!

ROF has huge potential just 1 or 2 strong guilds to join us would be most welcome and then we can work hard together to instal this server up the rateings!

Attackers from Ring of Fire and the defenders from Ruins of Surmia who participated in the epic of the siege of Bluelake, I salute you. That was a battle the skalds of Hoelbrak won’t soon forget!

I think that was the battle us Furious Rising (FR) decided to take that tower and we won it.

FR had a all day wvw event today and one of the funniest things for us was being in tunnel by bluelake one side had ROS and one side Underworld and we were stuck in middle of tunnel was very funny even hough we obviously wiped !

Seems to be fairly balanced but atm leaning towards ROS winning tier so will look forward to move epic fights over the next week
