The Asuran purple staff is pretty nice, I use it on my ele. Not sure if it’s T2 or T3 though.

Basically, I hate the majority of the way light armor looks on Asuras.
I have finally found a style that makes my character look pretty awesome, and I love it.
Now I just need to get Corrupted Shard and a Destroyer Dagger!

I wouldn’t worry about it too much. Anet has gotten so much hate about missing events, they have changed it up completely. I’m hoping, even though it will cause much hatred, that some special items will be available for the people that visit each of the cities when his ship is there.

It bothered me enough that the Destiney’s Edge armor skins are available, then I decided I didn’t care too much because there are so many other armor skins out there to choose from, and people actually like those sets for themselves.

But giving THE helm used by Zojja to another “big” character? Kind of disappointing.

I don’t want to be one of those people that complains about every little thing, and trust me, the event looks awesome and I can’t wait for it!

But it’s the little things like this that sadden me inside. I’m sure one of your artists could have developed an awesome new helmet/headpiece/goggles for Tixx to wear.

I’m assuming this is going to be the Black Lion Chests, if not then I guess it will be something like the Consotrium chests. On the bright side, there will be plenty of other things to spend your gems on, hopefully minipets!

Really though, I love the game! Just disappointed with personal story.

Favorite is, and always has been elementalist.
However, I went from loving the staff to being D/D only. This saddens me.
Being an asura, my weapons are smell enough! Having daggers makes them practically invisible.

Running from the karka champion by the rich orichalcum vein, misjudging the ramp, and skydiving to your death.

This may have only happened to me though lmfao.

I felt bad for spending $20 on the digital deluxe version when I realized I could get it with in-game gold, especially in the first couple months when gem to gold ratios were insanely low. Now, I’m just hoping Anet hands out this wizard hat to everyone., and it better not look like the witch hat either.

Oh.. if only I could afford the corrupted shard and destroyer daggers, I’d be lookin’ pretty epic lol

I just self-queued into a free tournament, we won the first match (Forest of Nifhel) but when I died towards the end, with about 20 seconds left in the match, I was stuck at a loading screen and forced to re-log.

In the screenshot, you can clearly see I’m getting ready to start the second match (Legacy of the Foefire) but I didn’t receive the monthly tournament match reward.

Normally I wouldn’t complain, but it’s hard enough to win these matches with Pick-Up-Groups when I don’t have a set of “normals” that I run with.

This same bug (stuck at loading screen towards the end) has happened to me once before, but we lost the match. I think it may happen when you respawn in the middle of typing or something like that.

Anyways, hopefully you can reward my match won, that would be great! And hopefully this loading screen bug gets looked at.

They seem to have grown in size (much thicker) since the update and I do not like it at all!

I could just be going crazy, but I’m pretty sure my Asura’s ears were much smaller before the update.

Anyone else feel the same way?

EVERYTHING in the consortium chests will be available in some other way (probably mob drops) from the new Lost Shore content.

EDIT: Sorry, I didn’t realize DR occurred if you ran your characters back to back, you can close this topic. (stupid rule, but whatever, first complaint since I’ve started the game, so no big shake I guess)

I just ran AC explorable mode on my ele, all 3 paths, 60 tokens per run.

I then switched to my warrior, found a group and ran all three paths again, with the following results:

Path 1 – 30 tokens
Path 2 – 23 tokens
Path 3 – 23 tokens

I’ve gotten 360 tokens per day between both of my characters in the past, and this is the first time I’ve ever seen the DR affect my second run. Is this something new with yesterdays maintenance, or did I not wait long enough between characters before running again?

If that’s the case I don’t feel as though I should be punished for completing all 6 paths in a certain amount of time across my characters. I found groups that were able to run these dungeons fast because I only had a certain amount of time to complete them for my daily reward.

Again – this is the first time this has happened to me, and I have been running all 6 paths for the last week or so ending with 360 tokens.

This is because people have actually found ways to play their character. If it’s not for you, try a different class.

Elementalists are very viable for combo fields, might stacking, ice bows (in AC explorable) swiftness, large AoE damage, all sorts of things!

Try a new weapon, try out some new traits, learn how to swap attunements. The elementalist is an awesome class that doesn’t get as much credit as it deserves.

I have an asura, I love the voice work when changing attunements and I love his spell animations, however I am into the vanity aspect of the game (as a lot of gamers are) and it’s really hard to see my flashy weapons and armor as a little asura, but that’s what my norn warrior is for!

So my vote, personally, would have to be:
Asura if you are going for personality (and stealthiness in WvW compared to larger races)
Any other large race, if you are going for vanity and really want people to see how flashy you are.

But really.. I love my Asura
He is one handsome little devil!

CoF path 1 takes about 10 minutes, if that.

Do that five times, once a day, for 5 days out of your 30, or get it over in 50 minutes on just one day.

You say you don’t have time for that? Go ahead, type /age and post a screenshot showing me just how much time you don’t have.

The monthly is meant to be a great reward given for working hard over the course of the month. And honestly, running 5 dungeons is probably a lot easier than salvaging 500 items (most of which I looted from dungeons)

Anet encourages us to try all aspects of their game. There is one PvP achievement, and now they added one PvE achievement. Go, enjoy the game, and please stop complaining.

Yes, and not only that, but there are buckets of water placed all around, I’m not sure if they were there before, but we were all throwing water at him trying to keep him alive! (Note – there isn’t really a health bar, just playing around) I think the coolest thing is that you can actually hear whale noises.

And then possibly Santa by the bank, just because I ran by him a lot and he always wanted to fight me, and I was like hey kid! Have some candy.
I didn’t spend too much time with the kids by the trading post or the two by the bridges between the fountain and the mystic forge.

I would have to say, after opening approximately 2500 P-ToT bags, the Quaggan were of no luck to me!

EDIT: Santa kid costume, possibly an idea for Christmas? Anyone else think this?

I don’t think there is DR on the chest. I have had runs where I get exotics, and then 5 runs where I get greens, and then bam! The next run I get another exotic. It’s just luck and randomness. Keep going and hope for something good! I looted a black lion key, opened my 2nd chest from the entire event, and received the mad moon shield skin! Some are lucky, others aren’t. But once you get lucky just that one time, the runs before were all worth it.

EDIT: I had MF 10% banner, 26% halloween food, 50% booster. No mf gear though

They said if any scaling is required, they will bump everyone to level 80. They also said that this event is not towards the emissary of the mad king title, so I would assume that it is not the party.

Thia: You can also buy 8 of them for 50 pieces of candy corn from the kids running around Lion’s Arch trick-or-treating. This is definitely the cheaper way to go if you are looking to open a bunch. And I do believe they count towards the title, but I’m not 100% sure because I opened the regular bags.

I remember reading somewhere that the one time event does not count toward the title achievement.

Could we get a Dev answer on this just to be sure?

Which two do you have? Because Pumpkin Carver doesn’t count towards it either

I opened 5 chests from items that I looted prior to the event (never bought any keys) and received Recipe: Gift of Spider in one of the five. It’s all CHANCE! Just because you aren’t lucky enough to receive an item that you value doesn’t mean the idea sucks, it means that they are doing a good enough job at actually making it a chance item.

One suggestion: Never go to a casino if you are getting this angry over a game.

Well, they aren’t used in structured pvp, and the CoF gear is just as flashy, if not more, so I can’t say that this would be a valid argument.

I just now realized for the first time that Haki Wolfwatcher is actually a male character!

However, every time he yells “We have cleared the entrance to the Citadel of Flame!” it is in a female voice.

This will for now and for always bother me until it is fixed. I wish I would have never noticed lol.

The final achievement for the monthly has turned into a “???” and has an unfilled bar.

I have tried restarting my client, no luck.

Just restarted my entire computer and still no luck logging in.

EDIT: Okay, I’m on the game now, not sure that it was the proper way, but it was accidental.

I clicked the “Cancel” button next to the “Send” button. The game then loaded up, it black-screened for about 15 seconds, and then brought me to the character selection.

May as well use this method to log in until things get fixed, hopefully this works for you others that are unable to log in!
