Isn’t that mountain Kralkatorrik? http://wiki.guildwars2.com/wiki/Kralkatorrik
Pretty sure it isn’t Krakky, as he is supposed to be glowing, purple and you, alive. Though maybe this was before he awoke which seems unlikely for me.
Looks pretty sweet for a new zone. I guess it would be south of ebonhawke, maybe through that door that they guard in blackhawk quarry.
So I have recently got 100% on my Warrior, well not exactly but I can’t be assed to go into WvWvW to make it complete. Anyway…
I wanted something else then HURR ME SMASH warrior gameplay, so I made the more tactical ranger. Now all ranger problems aside, I have ran into the biggest problem of all.
I absolutely am bored with the whole overworld. I have to go through all hearts, PoI’s and Vista’s AGAIN. To level this ranger to 80.
That’s getting enormously boring. until level 38 now I have done the Maw/Dome event chain routine. It’s faster then normal but still BORING.
So, any tips to make it not boring? Or better even, someone knows an even better way of leveling?
Thanks in advance,
Dokuroizo
Well overall I think they have made a splendid build. I’ll list a few pro’s and cons
Pro’s
Well they added much content and fixed some major issues in overall gameplay.
The laurels will make for more motivation to achieve something in this game
The Orr zone has been adjustedCons
There was next to no class balance.
Some glaring issues also remained. It’s a real dense list of things that what came to my mind now. But overall they did a good thing.
Also remind yourself next month is another big patch coming. Don’t despair brothers and sisters!
Well, at least Drake pets work correctly for rangers now.
Yeah but you and I know the ranger needs a lot more love than that.

It will launch at some point before 23:59pm PST. Anet is based on the West Coast, so as long as they launch it before midnight PST, it’s still considered to be January 28.
It’s great that they give dates according to where they’re situated, it might even appear to make sense. However, a huge part of this game’s player base (half by rough estimation) is located in non US timezones.
Those players will see the 28th and they wont think, “oh, wait, ANet is West Coast so that means according to timezone differences…”. No, a player will see the 28th and obviously expect the content on that date, they’re 28th. When the update finally hits the 29th, the non US players will feel cheated.
Yes because a company is supposed to give a date/time for every timezone in the world to better accommodate the player’s schedule instead of just sticking to their own.
Makes sense.
Wait no.
If you ask me they might as well just say, “Some time before January ends.” JUST BECAUSE of people like you that COMPLAIN when they do give a date. THIS IS WHY they don’t give dates out for most of the stuff they release!
Please, be rational. We never asked to be reported on ALL timezones. Ofcourse not don’t be silly. But a separate Europe ( London perhaps ) and American (West Coast ) time might just make us customers a little less giddy and impatient. Know what I’m saying.
Yes Gelltor,
Last time we got a “big patch coming” I heard we were now the Aquaman of Tyria, but I just don’t feel it yet. So more aqua skills I say!
That’s all very nice and well but the ranger we know in GW2 relies on broken pets, and I am not hauling my medium armor sylvari in melee range how accurate it might be. I’d be dead in 4 wild swings!!
I am all for the original Ranger though, I love that concept. I like bows sure, but I like the idea of the scouter, ranger, surviver a lot.
Plus yeah, also what Flubble said. You might want to shut a lot of people up but Anet’s statement clearly says they weren’t designed to be historically accurate.
It’s based on your toughness I believe.
Every time I run Arah for Lupicus Lupi always goes after me because I am power/tough/vit geared on my warrior. The two other guardians had lower toughness then me and that’s why I ended up avoiding lupi most of the battle.
I have a few questions if you don’t mind. Pick whichever you like though.
1: It’s a sore point I think. But is the team aware that the Ranger class is in serious need of help, and if so, how do you think it should change?
2: I love WvWvW. It’s a brilliant concept in which I can really live out my fantasies of being in a real war. Sort of, at least, a bit. It just gets boring after a while. You either stomp or get stomped. And there’s no progress. The titles are a thing that will come on their own so no grinding that. The rewards aren’t really great. And at the end of the current round you just get pitted against someone else and you may go your merry way wailing at doors again.
So my question: Can you, without giving up to much details of course, explain to us what you mean by progress in WvWvW. What are your goals here, how do you want to reach them?
That is all, I thought I would’ve had more questions but alas. Well more breathing room for you guys.
And for the record, you are doing an amazing job guys. You have my respect and adoration.
PS: Please add a Melee Spellcaster, please. (No guardian, all that holy and benevolent mumbo jumbo, a real light armor bad kitten combining spear/sword with stone cold magic yo).
Played a mesmer but wasn’t my thing exactly. Asha’man weren’t of illusions but of stone cold bad kitten direct magic out of the kitten And you’re right about the elementalist but the playstyle would require me to switch between elements like a madman, and as with the mesmer I ain’t so keen on twitch play/ micro managing etc.
I like the connection to Dumai’s Wells though, never occured to me that relates to the Ring of Earth and Fire.
I hope Anet releases some other classes next expansion, preferably a melee caster. Would be dope man.
Thanks for thinking with me!
Hello there!
Last year of my life has been devoted to Robert Jordan’s The Wheel of Time series.
You can look for yourself what’s it about because I am not going to lay out 14 books for you.
Anyway, the reason I am asking your guidance is because I cannot find a class that really fits my fancy. For the one who know the Asha’man, that’s what I want.
For the ones who don’t know allow me to explain who they are. The Asha’man are a order of people who learn to channel the one power ( just magic yo ) and also learn to wield the sword with deathly precision. I want something similar.
I am aware no class does this image right, but I was hoping someone here knew of a build/class/race combo that would really pull this off. It’s a idle hope I’m sure but it couldn’t hurt to try right?
Thanks for your time!
I have just read The Wheel of Time series. And I would love to have something they called the Asha’man. Basically in MMO terms they would be a light armor melee class with magic at their disposal.
Not the stuff the guardian does, that’s all holy and benevolent and kitten. I want to waste destruction with my trusty sword and magic. You could give it different ways to be played. Each trait path would represent some playstyle.
Swordsmanship
Light Armor
Heavy Armor
Offensive Magic
Defensive Magic
To make it short, a sword/spear melee class
Alternatively I would love to see something spear focussed. I really miss halberds in this game. Make it a monk focussing on spears/halberds/bo-staffs and meditations
My two cents
Hello again!
Once again I am back. But this time with good news. I took the advice from my veteran co players to heart and to my satisfaction I am ripping the whole of ascalon a new kitten.
the staff + greatsword combination is such a great succes! The last 15 mobs, from which 2 were even veterans, didn’t even touch my furry charr behind! I thank you for giving me the tools to shine in this class. I am not there yet at level 11. But you made it a lot easier getting there.
Sincerely,
Dokuroizo
thank you all for reacting to my plea for help! I am now level 9 and I have discovered the hard way that some Skill Points are not for me yet. I level with my sword/focus + greatsword, and in theory it should work great. But it’s all up to chance, do the mobs go after my phantasm or after me? And if they go after me can I kill them before they land two hits, for I have discovered I can be hit three time before dying.
It’s a brutal proces, but high level mesmers really wreck kitten left and right so I am gonna stick this one out. But for the record:
Level using greatsword + focus. What’s my opener? Do I bash all my summons and hope I am left enough to shatter ( which doesn’t even kill most mobs anyway ). Do I blow all my phantasms and hope they actually do what I want for a change?
Not asking a cookie cutter build and a way of working, but I ask these questions because I have the feeling I am mismanaging my skills.
Again, thank you very much!
Dokuroizo,
Hi all!
I played warrior since a few weeks from launch. And of course I really love it, though mesmers always seem to get the better of me. Therefore I want my own mesmer, a man wants what he can’t have right.
Well here’s the thing. I am currently level 6 and I feel like I am doing kitten. No really, I expected some lower dps due to being a spellcaster and such but this is insane. My greatsword is just wack. My staf takes ages, the sword begins great but halfway the enemies healthbar it just kinda stops. And most of all, I cannot take on more then 2 enemies from the same level at the same time.
Why? Am I doing something wrong? Please, experienced mesmers, tell me your secrets, tell me how I am going to survive this torture through level 80?
Sincerely,
Dokuroizo
Fellow Brothers of Battle.
I have played a warrior since a few weeks after launch. Though I have done it only in PvE, Dungeons and WvWvW to a degree. Now I want to enjoy all spectrum of entertainment GW2 throws at me so today I will enter the arena of sPvP, and if all goes well I might try a tournament.
However, it is known that PvE/WvWvW is very different then sPvP in terms of builds/tactics and general ettiquete. So I come here asking advice on builds, playstyles, rules of thumbs and the like.
1. What are builds to consider, and contrary to those what builds should be avoided.
2. What is the role of the sPvP warrior?
3.How succesful do you guys who play sPvP find yourself.
4. How is the learning curves for Warriors in sPvP.
And generally give me some tips if they spring to mind. I very much like to hear your advices and warnings. And I am sure others would be glad to follow in my footsteps and lift themselves to the arena.
Regards,
Dokuroizo
Congratulations are in order for Riverside and FSP. I have had some great skirmishes with you guys. At one point I and 9 other men held the mine at durios for a while with some ballistea 2 days back, that was an incredible fight. I also remember taking the keep outside RS garrison only to be mercilessly bombarded by mortars and cannons. Great defense. I have run WvWvW not that much, but recently my guild commander got me in there again and I can only say that RS and FSP made it worth my time. You were worthy adversaries.
Greetings,
Ilyena Theirin,
Seafarers Rest.
aw kitten. Sorry man, it’s kinda late here I got mixed up. Yeah Aldus is the one at the stairs right? He shouldn’t be spawning adds at all.
Again, sorry.
Yeah it is working as intended. They mechanic of that fight is that he spawns Jellyfish who have 1 spinning attack and then die. I was surprised first too but you’ll see it after a few fights.
Is ranger really that useless? ò.ò
I love playing with my ranger and I don’t really feels so useless when some little chickens get stucked by my traps and they stay still like some big shooting targets.. But I’m not really a veteran in www so I’d like to know more of your opinion. Ty
The reality is that a good ranger can be as valuable as a good guardian. It’s just that they need to be marginally more better. It’s a matter of numbers really, and some design issue’s like pets and weaponskills. Rangers do many things. But other classes can do all of those things much better then a ranger. Anet even said so themselves.
Point is, Ranger is still a viable class, just expect to put in a bit more effort until you got your love from Anet.
Those are some nice ideas. I have only 1 thing to say on the matter of opening gates from the insides. It sounds great but you’ll end up with a bunch of thieves perma stealthing to the lever to open it every flipping time.
I do not think more maps will solve WvWvW. On the lower pop servers Borderlands sometimes are completely empty. Even on high pop servers Borderlands are second priority. Adding yet ANOTHER map into the mix is too much of a strain on the attention of servers.
Naphacks list is a littler better.
I recently found out the real use of a guardian. Me and 9 other guys we’re raiding supply camp while we were cornered in the mines above Durios ( I forgot the name ). We built some siege there and kept them out of the tunnels. Slowly half the server was gathering to wipe us out and we stood tall.
The secret? 3 ballistea
2 staff guardians both with Wall of Reflection
And a hell of a commander.
We eventually lost because of some mistakes on our part. Like trying to res an already dead player a little bit too close to enemy lines.
My point in case is, Wall of Reflection. Best kitten skill EVER!
Welp my apologies! I seem to mixed up Esrevers and your message. It gave a real strange view of contradiction. Nevermind me, I am just here being stupid.
Im not sure the drop raye was really all that beefed up.
Given that, i assume, a vast majority of active accounts that were logged in were in the event it is no surprise that several dozens or hundred dropped.
I am also not convinced everyone posting a precursor in chat actually obtained it in the chest, or that they were all precursor. There are several named exotics with special effects, that aren’t precursor.
No, neither i nor any of the six other guildies i wad with received a precursor. Several named exotics though.
in my guild of about 20 people who finished the event, 3 got precursors.
3/20 = 15%
not a big sample so I won’t use it, I will use 1% as a low ball estimate. Now, lets say 3 million people played on day 3. half finished the event. and 1% got a precursor. Now there is 15 000 new precursors added in 1 day.
Got a bit of “light reading” for you to do. It will explain to you why your point is entirely moot far better than I ever could.
you don’t seem to understand my point.
No, I do. You just don’t understand why your point is utterly meaningless.
Quoting a handful of people that you know and play the game with is not an unbiased
sample. It’s a choice sample and the results will be skewed.I could point out that among all of my guildmates and friends, none of us received a precursor. So based on your logic, that means the precursors had a 0% drop rate, right? Obviously not, but it follows the same strand of logic. When you take an incredibly small sample of players and used biased methods in doing so, your results will always be meaningless and will indicate virtually nothing of actual meaning or value.
This is basic statistics.
What would be a much BETTER indicator is if ANet were to post statistics as to how many players obtained precursors in total during the event. But most likely people would just claim that they’re lying because….obviously they’d have every reason to make up numbers, right?
Let’s compare shall we?
“I could point out that among all of my guildmates and friends, none of us received a precursor. So based on your logic, that means the precursors had a 0% drop rate, right? Obviously not.”
Versus
“in my guild of about 20 people who finished the event, 3 got precursors.
3/20 = 15% "
Now read.
I absolutely loved the event. I jumped on it with my level 80 warrior. Used my longbow because melee was just pure suicide, no biggy though I am Condition Damage specced anyway.
I did this for 2 and a half grueling hours. With my guildies. My whole guild was on different servers and after 2 hours someone suddenly capped on the Gchat: “kittening hell they’re handing out Precursors!” rejoice was had! But then some people reported getting absolutely rubbish, they didn’t even get ecto’s out of it. I myself also wkitten out of luck it seems, I got s nice bag sure. Just hard to be happy and enjoy the defeat of this big karka thing when everyone else around you are being showered in precursors and and the other half around you almost raging their balls out of their underwear that they absolutely wasted their time.
Just a recap for the unlucky ones:
- Mobs do not drop loot, except the regular crab meat.
- The event lasted an average of 2 hours.
- The only reward are some kitteny exotics and a 20 slot bag.
This event has been a waste of time really. I cannot look back and say to myself: "I am glad I could have made it to the event. That was awesome and I got this “insert unique item” to remember it by. Thank you anet!
Instead I will probably say: “I called of a meeting with a bud of mine to participate in the event and I was shooting arrows at walking fortresses all day. As a reward I got to see other people get precursors while other people got some bag of kitten mixed with more kitten.”
My only gripe with this is the reward. Sub-par. Make everyone get a precursor. Or not at all. This is outragous!
As for the one-time events. I like them, even if I can’t participate in them all it adds a little more feeling of an open world and the idea the devs are still looking at us instead of swimming in their money piles.
But the rewards, shame on you, wasting my time like this. bah!
I agree OP!
I had the most fun today! When I saw myself as a charr sieging ascalon I was really moved, and the rest, oh boy all that diversity. MAGNIFICENT!
Dear Anet,
Yes you have shafted us with engineers and rangers. But I have seen the new content you have pushed with my level 80 warrior. And I have had the best time ever this evening. The new dungeon is awesome! And the invasion of Southshun island ( I think this was called?) Was a really good experience.
I have called you names in the class balancing departments. I take all of those names back. I still think the classes need a lot more work. No doubt. But this feat surely deserves some praise. I had massive fun this evening, in the dungeon and new island. And fun is all I can ask for anyway right.
So thank you Anet, for this new content. Don’t think I will forget about the class balancing, but you know, you have done well this time. Just promise to fix the classes next time,
Sincerley,
Dokuroizo
I deleted my halfway leveled ranger, I couldn’t do it anymore. At first I was like “Yeah a real man takes a challenge, I’ll level this class and make the best of it”.
But now it’s just fighting to play. I can’t summon the will anymore. There is no salvation for the Ranger it seems. No love. I don’t even know what to level next as they kittened up almost every class except the insta gib thief class and daddy’s favourite the warrior.
What now fellow rangers? What now?
So this is the place we talk about the new patch ?
great, so here we go :
You killed the ranger class, we were waiting for this patch because of the supposed buff our class would get, guess what ? You did not deliver, as usual.Perhaps I’m just blind and was too busy looking at the significant buffs to notice these massive nerfs that just killed ranger as a profession.
http://wiki.guildwars2.com/wiki/Game_updates/2012-11-15#Ranger
In short, what the hell are you talking about?
This patch included buffs to:
- the effect proc rates on spirits (up to 35%)
- the harpoon gun’s primary skill (longer bleed and more damage)
- greatsword (blocking now works while moving, and Maul is stronger)
Not to mention several skills have been added to the combo finisher list, which makes them more useful.
There is no way that anyone can look at a roster FULL of buffs and call it a nerf unless they just didn’t read.
So you mean useless underwater buffs ( yeah how much of your time do you spend underwater anyway?) and a useless spiritbuff ( the bloody thing dies if I sneeze to hard ) and of course the tooltip changes, make a GREAT improvement for us rangers?
These were not the area’s we requested changes, these were not the problems that kittened us.
So far we have seen the state of this forum. It’s full blown mess. Concerned players, for the third time shafted and told to get rekt and wait, are shouting in the forums to be heard. Some of the more level headed are calling for less violent posts and more constructive posts. But you have to admit, we have had plenty of those and we are done.
By now I think a good portion of your ranger playerbase is rolling another class. Purely because they are done being ignored or nerfed to oblivion. After this last patch my respect for Anet, carefully crafted in those 7 beautiful years in my childhood with GW1, has dropped through the floor.
I used to stand up an hour early for school just so I could play some GW1, I was a total addict. And I wanted that feeling again with GW2, again with a ranger and a loyal pet. And the BWE’s looked good even! I was quite thrilled. I made a ranger by launch and shelved it at level 30.
Then the patch hit today and I made another ranger, a fresh start. Or so I thought, we got shafted again.
I go out of my way telling you all this to say, I love you guys, really.
So as a total fanboy, please, please, PLEASE! COMMUNICATE!
We had 1 post basically saying: “Yeah wel get rekt, we have better things to do then fixing your schmuck rangers”.
Please, make a thread where everybody can ask questions. Open a channel of communication, give a real time estimate with real and solid agreements.
Communication goes both ways Anet. And I know you have it in you. The other forums are getting responses. Why not us? You scared? You should be, but hiding in the closet won’t solve anything.
For now, to most rangers, you are seen as money grabbers. Just pushing new content and trials to lure more suckers into giving you money. And I can understand, you are a company, you need to make money. But wy not fix your current content? Why not make a solid fanbase? A solid foundation. When the new trial players should come we would welcome them and tell them to stay because it’s the best game ever. The only thing we say now is, go away. Your money is wasted here.
Sincerly Dokuroizo.
Love your post buttercup, I really do.
I think it’s just a waste of time though. He/They won’t come in here and face the hornets nest. They are playing their warriors!
I would like to drop some F-bombs but I am just … worn out now. There is NO communication. No responsibility being taken or choices defended.
It’s the equivalent of a child breaking his friends toy and then storms off home trying to either ignore it to death or simply deny it.
We aren’t getting a response. I have been looking over the Def-tracker subforum, and representatives are responding all over the place, except on the profession sub-forums. They are afraid, they KNOW they kittened up. But you know what, we have new content to push! And don’t forget the winters holiday coming.
AND DON’T FORGET THE BUY SOME GEMS FOR THE NEW FFING SKINS/CHEST!!
You don’t deserve my money, bah!
How is that warrior working out for you? Solo’d a legendary yet?
I find warrior toe-curlingly boring actually; mine’s been at level 56 for weeks, while my ranger was level 80 3 days into release. It’s simply that unlike some people, I expect a class who’s sole defining characteristic of being the ‘best’ with weapons to be exactly that, while the class that uses an animal companion to augment damage and compensate for the difference between weapon damage to do exactly that.
Something far too many people don’t, clearly.
SO you really think, that the ranger, which class description says: “Unparalleled Archer” , is SUPPOSED to be weaker then the warrior, the average sword and board/hammer pound away dude.
And of course, the ranger’s special thing is the use of nature’s own animals. Which kind of ups the question, are animals in Tyria mentally kitten They almost kitten themselves when a target is moving.
I’ll agree he seems to be a nocive in PR; most people making mods usually stay very quiet about balance patches for exactly the sort of excrement-hurricane that’s happened here. THey say there’s a balance patch coming, people work themselves up and convince themselves that the patch is doing to do exactly what they want, then apparently they’ve invested shares into this patch and won’t accept a refund when it’s not what they wanted.
Let’s remind ourselves exactly what we were told:Poof! Someone called and I am here. We made some ranger changes this patch, but had to go back on them because of risk factor. There are some bugs being fixed and quality of life improvements coming in the next patch, as well as some other significant ranger improvements.
While we work hard to keep updates going on all professions, not very build us going to contain fixes for everyone due to the nature of software development. One problem with rangers is the lack of build diversity created by a number of sub par utility skills. Many signets, a shout or two, and spirits are all a bit lackluster. That is the first place to expect improvements. Second is trying to improve the feel/ pacing on some weapons.
Notice how at no point a longbow damage buff was ever mentioned. Heck, weapon damage was never mentioned, the post implied erganomics were being
Some bugs were fixed: an offhand skill now works with the off-hand trait, Whirlinh Defence works a bit better with combo’ing in fiends, the traits is beastmaster display the right icons.
The rest? All buffs.
-Greatsword’s better; I wasn’t expecting a damage buff (which was a nice surprise) and the ability to block on the move has certainly changed the pacing of the weapon as a whole. Before it could be quite a static weapon, but now you can be a bit more mobile because of that change to the block.
-Spirits have more health, Spirits being one of the things he specifically mentioned as needing a buff
-The Harpoon gun has been buffed (along with other classes underwater weapons) so underwater combat has some more interesting mechanics. Also, damage buff.I’m not saying this is the BESTEST PATCH EVAR for rangers. I’m disappointed the shouts and signets didn’t get any love this time. I was hoping the longsword might lose the ‘roots you while autoattacking’ thing and I have a quite hope that the Beastmaster traits get flat-out overhauled (The tier 2 ones seem fairly pointless as they are, honestly)
However, the patch did largely what I was expecting, for Rangers.
Those of you who were expecting something along the lines of ‘longbow damage made so a ranger can beat the class specifically designed to win 1v1 with weapons and undermine that class’ role as a heavy hitter using only weapons’ were setting yourselves up for dissapointment. I pointed this out several days ago: https://forum-en.gw2archive.eu/forum/professions/ranger/When-the-coming-update-disappoints/first#post695183
Everyone was too busy working themselves up and convincing themselves that what they wanted to happen was going to be true. He didn’t have to come and post a “Update soon rangers!” message. He didn’t even need to come and talk afterwards to try and explain himself to a bunch of children crying that they didn’t get what they wanted; something never specifically mentioned or even really hinted at. Now you’re howling and raging, accusing him of lying despite doing largely exactly what he said he would when he came in and gave us the good news. Something I suspect he’s not going to bother with next time to avoid foolish people convincing themselves things that are at best unlikely to happen will; then complain loudly and shrilly when it doesn’t.
How is that warrior working out for you? Solo’d a legendary yet?
Silly, Rangers went to their respective hometowns and all got drunk. They can’t hit jack anymore with no bow. The warrior is now the unparalleled archer class.
With the next update the ranger class will be deleted and the warrior class will gain a optional pet addition.
At least you didn’t get nerfed, and they even said they plan to buff you more.
They are saying that for almost 2 months now. But we get the hint, we need to play a warrior, clearly the master of archery. Rangers are schmucks anyway
Ofcourse not. Who needs balancing and bug fixes with such wonderful events as halloween and christmas and the lost shores? Don’t forget to buy your brand new town skin from the kittening Trading Post.
Alright let’s lay it out for you!
Improved the effect chance on ranger spirits to 35% base and 50% when traited.
– Great! Now if we can let them survive longer then 2 seconds!
Beastmastery minor traits now use the correct icon.
- Oh wow! You are right, no balance, no meaning.
Splinter Shot: This skill’s damage is increased by 150%, and its bleeding duration is increased from 3 seconds to 4 seconds.
- An underwater skill? Mighty fine I can do some damage underwater now, the thing is I spent no more then 5% underwater
Counterattack: The blocking portion of this skill can now be used while moving. Ranged attacks will not trigger the second half of the skill.
- I agree. This buff is a small albeit welcome one. Not game changing but beggers can’t be choosers.
Protecting Screech: This skill now states the correct duration of 4 seconds.
- Isn’t it dandy, I can use a moa now knowing the correct information on why it still sucks.
Call of the Wild: The Wilderness Survival trait Off-Hand Training now applies to this skill.
- Great priorities!
Throw Torch: The speed of the projectile has been increased.
- Well, mixed feelings, I mean, the animation is faster, yay I guess. Nothing has changed.
Maul: This skill’s damage has been increased by 40%.
- A welcome buff. The only real one though.
Sun Spirit: The tooltip for this skill now displays the proper burning time of 3 seconds.
- Not a buff, just a correction. Great patch so far!
Whirling Defense: This skill was updated so that it interacts better with combo fields.
- vague as hell. “interacts better”. What? You mean I can now use a combofield. Dandy!
Splinter Shot: This skill is now a small projectile combo finisher.
Coral Shot: This skill is now a projectile combo finisher.
Feeding Frenzy: This skill is now a projectile combo finisher.
Mercy Shot: This skill is now a projectile combo finisher.
- Not even buffs, just combo finishers. and again FOR UNDERWATER. Who spents enough time underwater to actually justify prioritizing these changes?
What we really need??
Overall damage buffs,
Pet fixes,
Signet fixes
REAL spirit fixes
And last but not least some overhaul on the useless traits.
Thanks for reading, adieu.
Ofcourse you have limited time.
Enough time to buff the warrior longbow it seems, because yeah. Warriors were horrible broken with their bows. Great priorities.
So I finally figured it out… Maybe they actually want people to stop playing ranger? It’s so broke, it’d be easier for them to make people quit it, than fix it.
They might as well just delete the class outright. I am sure we will all know why and we would take a few days of grieving and start another class. That’s what 80% is going to do npw anyway.
First off, I love you very much. Back in my highschool days I would get up an hour early to play my warrior in GW1.
Around christmas my parents had to drag me out of my room because I was having to much fun hanging around in a snowclad LA.
But now you have made GW2, and however I think this is the next best thing apart from the next coming of jesus, for the love of god stabilize your game kitten you.
I was al giddy and stuff for this event, because for the past 7 years, you never have disappointed me. But now, you kind of do. Every time you pull an event, update or patch like this the whole game crashes and burns for 70% of your population.
This “event” was another example.
I’ll leave the whole disappointed in event stuff behind, I haven’t even done it because the following: I can’t enter with a group/enter at all.
How is this happening? Don’t you playtest? Are you guys drunk? Do you hate your job because it’s sunday? ( That last thing I can relate with anyway ). But still.
Please Anet, again, I love you so very much you are my company of the year every year but for the love of christ PLEASE take care with stuff like this.
Some more Dialogue would be nice, we hardly hear anytime from you guys when stuff like this pops up.
Anyway, keep up the good work, but above all, hire some extra debuggers and programmers please.
Sincerey,
Mistress of Maguuma, Necromancer.
I’m with you man. I mean, you guys are in this bussines for so long, with GW1 and all. And you did plenty of events. I love you solely for that reason alone.
But kitten man, what the hell. Every Event, Every patch and or update my server crashes and burns. Its nice of you to prepare a halloween event but if you’re still fixing the game this wasn’t a sound choice to make.
Just my 2 cents, I still love you guys.
I would like to offer my support for this topic and these questions. Especcially the Server transfer and commander issues.
Why would a commander pay for his title? IMO it should be a vote system of some sort. 1 commander per guild, voted for and only visible in WvWvW. Blasted Creditcard Commanders…
