I know what you mean but you should try to make it more accessible for the everyday forum goers if you want to sollecite a broader response.

Simple: matches start after you wait a long time, for example in EU for a soloq match you have to wait on average 5-10 mins in the time range 23:00-1:00. In the same time range, a GW1 GvG would start in less than 2 minutes on average after 2 years from release.

And GW1 GvG was a 8v8 teamq (as far as match starting goes).

You can even see that the players are almost always the same, it’s like getting them from a pool of 30-40 players.

GW1 is played in unique server over the world, GW2 is splitted europe, north america,china. So you can understand europeans can find players in the morning in gw1 besides in gw2 no.

Cmon phd don’t fall so low. Necros are ok! They have good dmg but in opposite they cannot do dmg when backpedaling except with staff! And theyr sustain and kiteing stuffs are the worst in game because of no stealths and stability!

If a player is already registered with a team but his team disbanded before starting the tournament, can he join another registered team?

While you have 5k hp you cannot ran away from him, he would kill you easy because your build have nothing for run away. He would dmg you for 5k in 2 hits! Cmon use your brain!

Theres absoultly no intend to flame you or something like that, but i checked out your vids, and honestly, this is solid average.
While im fine with most of your rotations and movement in general, your dodging is some of the most weird ive seen so far. Youre in a 1on1, putting supply crate on your foe or stun him with shield #4. First thing you do after stunning him: dodge. Or in teamfights: no one is even looking into your direction, but you just burn all your dodges just for movement(???), getting shield bashed and eviscerated afterwards. I dont wanna say im dodging each skill i should, but if you claim to be the best, you should definetly improve this a lot(maybe then you dont even need 2 stunbreakers anymore and get room for nades?). And lay down that arrogance plz, because this is nothing but embarrassing. Or dont show us your vids if you wanna brag like that, maybe youre a bit more convincing then. :P

Besides that, just try grenades dude, there are many reasons each top tier engi is playing them.
And btw: Your big idol Teldo(who indeed played very well) used grenades quite often as well, and im 100% sure he would use them nowadays as well. You know, metas are changing from time to time.

You have to play it in micro fights such as 2v2 max 3v3, so what you said about bombs is back worth to use.

The dmg is fine, having more dmg means removing EG which is vital for survive and if you want have more dmg reroll thief. Killing d/d ele is almost impossible if you dont run bombs+nadess. My build is made for roam,kill warriors, 1v1 on far and disingage if you get 2v1, rez people with stealth this is op!. Arrdee build is kitten because if he gets chased by 2 or more he dies quite easily, you are playing 5V5 NOT 1V1!

Because this game have only one max 2 high competitive build per character depending on what your job is and what rotations you have to do.

Ah just a suggestion, go see tol engis dies 20 times per game, then count how much i die. Open your eyes

Im not convincing anyone. I shared how i play and honestly i think is better then any nowadays engis since they run different builds. If you cannot realize it it’s because your pvp engi view sucks

I know Vee Wee isn’t the best pve player(or close) but in pvp it’s not so bad.
Edit: Going into explosives and at least a bit in alchemy is mandatory for engi. In every game mode. You’re not reinveting the wheel.

I did not invented nothing ofc, iam using almost same traits since beta in 2012.
The stealth combo is bomb #4 with your blast (you have 3 blast).

Best engi in history (Teldo) was playing bombs not nades.
Tol what, all tol engis die because they dont have any disingaging skill because they play nades.
Nades is very good offensive dmg mixed with condis but with that u are a dps class, engi dps is weak compared to thief /warriors/eles thats why nades is kitten.

If you are #1 Engi NA then poor NA lol you make me laugh hahaha engi is not a powerful nodefighter never! Engi is the worst class at it! Your’re not a ranger/warrior/ele, those 3 classes are the best 1v1 node fighter in game, engi is a running 24/7 class! You running a build with no protection #6 trait in alchemy and with only bombs as stealthing skill for disingage you would just be free meal to dps classes!

Ehi most know me from the past playing on top teams, I wanna show you how i play engi on this meta.

I think its the only available strong build because engi is a light class that can easily be one shotted so you need elixir s for the stealth which permits you to disingage also elixir gun gives you one break stun and #4 acid bomb let you disingage more easily; also bombs is the only kit which can let you put condition dmg and stealth you for disingage. Granades are weak cause doesnt give you stealth and the dmg is ridicolous compared to thieves, if you would dps you simply reroll to thief/warrior/mesmer/ele so bombs are the only kit available for us.

So i play this build because is the only one that gives skill for disingage and is very useful for ressing your mates with your stealth, you cannot survive without all these requirements.

I have tried everything you cannot even imagine. You cannot play celestial there are other classe that can play celestial builds better then engineer you guys just want make engi works with jobs where other classes can do better.
High lvl pvp means fit classes togheter playing the best jobrole as they can.
I would never see top teams for example playing a power ranger, that role is for thieves, same thing is with the various builds you guys runs with engineer you want stole the job of the other classes and nochanche you gonna do it badly.

I will only talk from pvp point of view. Iam top leaderboard EU engineer since beta and I have reach the top 2 position in teamq in the past with my previous well known team Onibawan so i can say i almost know everything about my class.

*After 2 years of balance, engineer has always missing few obvious things:*

1) There is only one build available in high pvp level which is condi rabid with bombs, elixir gun, elixir s. All engineer running different utilities are running no self sustain and disingaging skills which means be a free kill. ( So basically you cannot be competitive at high level, others builds for example power runs better on thiefs/warriors, why would you pick up an engineer for that)

2) Engineer has no condition removal, if you get immobilized you are instant death from the burst of for example pistol whip + arcing arrow.

3)Engineer loose against every other condition class because of no condition removal ( the utility heal is not enough)

*The right balance change is just one and is very easy:*

1) Add more condition removal, maybe add it on elixir s or on healing mist, but don’t force using different utilities of bombs,elixir s,elixir gun they are a must for disingage in high lvl pvp.

2)Would be enough just have one immediate immobilize removal from let’s say regenerating mist which helps survive at least to ONE burst from direct damage classes but it is still not enough to balance fights against all others condition classes.

After a blow out skill the break stun skill let you get up early than the 2 seconds of blow out just 1 seconds before. Why you have to wait 1 second instead breaks stun immediately?? At least rename breaks stun into breaks stun after 1 second! I have good reflexes and I want get out of stun immediately! Or just rename the skill. Please fix this

On EU, I actually think you could achieve 32 teams, but a lot of them would be quite inexperienced and probably some pugs forming just to participate in tournaments. Even in top 16 on eu you will have some low quality games

Currently there are more than 16 teams in eu.. i would bet more than 32.

I got the point why u say there are few teams, matchmaking finds you to play always the same 5 teams but outside these 5 there are more and more you could find with a better matchmaking, the mm we have is worse than gw1

Spectator mode is not a medium for the public to watch your tournament. Its is a way to have an outside party shoutcast/stream/record your tournament so the public can view it (including non-GW2 players).

Yes it can helpful to watch shoutcast tournament but spectator mode is still not a useful feature, it’s like having a football field without the ball and the goal’s doors.

What we can see is a totally useless feature.
Spectators takes active players spots so if the are 10 spectators and the arena allowed 20 players, the active players could be only 10, for a total of 20 people.

There is no point to this feature, because if we host a 5v5 tournament it means that only 10 people can watch it as a spectator.

Yes i got the point to this spectator mode, you let newbies watching hot join games for let them learn the game. Well e-sports means FULL EXPERT PLAYERS plays the game and we dont give a s… to this feature.
