here is my axe/shield build deals great dmg and survives well. also sword/warhorn it is mainly for mobility so i can stay on top of my target when they decide to try and kite me because it cleanses chill,cripple,and immob then leap to them. also Final thrust is nice when they are below half health which they probably will be when they try kiting you. also with the warhorn you get to apply some weakness which will help survivability against power builds.
also awesome tip of the day when fighting thieves if they shadow refuge evis into the shdow refuge you have a really high chance of hitting them with it since it has a very broad swipe which usually results in them going down.
Well I was able to achieve something like 1030 hp a sec with only 5 clerics kitten and like 200 healing power from traits so I believe 1500 can be achievable.
So far the only ranger that has survived a decent amount of time against me was a sword/dagger ranger. But he was only able to get me to like half before my dmg put him down. But I think the best chance a ranger will have agonist a warrior is getting with sword/dagger putting poison on them and evading around them then getting out and kiting them also try and use the trait that gives protection on dodge very helpful in keeping a lot of our dmg off you.
But to be honest I haven’t lost to a ranger yet in wvw I guess I’m still waiting to run into that one then I could give better adive
ya i think the highest i hit was 4.3k myself.
ya cant nerf rush like that until they make it so that it will hit moving targets and even targets that are standing still it will miss a good amount of the time
interesting a low dps build that still puts out 25k 100b and gs auto attack for 2.6k with last in chain doing 3.5k and axe auto doing 2k to 2.5k depending on mob low dps hmm ya ok. and only defensive points i have are toughness and a tad of healing power you act like i have power toughness vit gear. just a reminder knight’s is power precision toughness and zerker is power precision and crit dmg oh and my traits its +300 power +250 toughness +250 healing power 15 crit dmg oh an defense gives me 5% toughness into power oh its starting to make sense if you were sensible. oh and superior sharpening stones having higher toughness gets you more out of that piece of nourishment.
Was just trying to help the OP by giving him an option of what he asked for and mr troll walks up bashing something he probably didnt even try out sad days in the world
so whats terrible about having probably the highest base attack and good armor for pve while also supporting your member’s in the group.
also the guy that made this thread was asking for a good hybrid build i believe this fits the role.

I have a build that I made myself were I can achieve 4724 attack 2800 armor 67 crit dmg 63% crit chance with fury up which will only be down maybe 1-2 secs this is with gs out and no other help. In dungeon fights my 100b will still do 25k.
My off hand set is axe/shield where the stats change slightly only in attack and armor though 3k armor and like 4.5k attack and its auto crits for 2-2.5k with final hit doing 5-6k
Traits 30/0/25/0/15
Armor knights
Trinkets zerker
Runes 5 runes of vampirism 1 rune of hoelbrak
Skills healing signet banner of strength for great justice signet of might signet of rage
Sigils gs force
Axe blood
Shield bloodlust
Weapons are zerker weapons
You are going to craft ascended weapons so if you have the mats to get to 500 it won’t be so much of a grind as you think it will be

Finaly someone using a Sword&Shield combo instead of a blunt weapon! I was tired to see all those people building confusion warriors around Mace or Hammer…
But i’m surprised you took bullcharge and stomp, wouldn’t you be better by replacing Dolyak Signet with Balanced Stance and Stomp with Kick instead for your build? Sinds those have pretty long animations and make it hard to interupt any good players? Also you are a primary condition build, isn’t that retaliation you deal a bit weak and situational?
Using sword/shield for an interrupt build is pointless only one stun and that is with shield 4 makes more sense to run mace hammer simply because you have a higher chance for interrupts
Op must be like 15 years old cause anyone with any sense knows that back in the day most people struck with a sword didn’t die instantly they bleed out so sword being the condition weapon makes more sense. Axes were made heavy so that they could cleave body parts off essentially so axe being the power weapon makes sense. Also sword is at a good place right now for the warrior. Axe however i would like its auto chain to go back to the way that it was
Can’t perma stun with just a hammer it’s cooldowns are way to long for that. You must be trolling
Works for me tooltip will say 400 or so and ill get 430 or somewhere around there

So what is your proposed nerf to the build and if its to lower the stun duration that would make no sense cause you would probably say to lower it to 2 secs which would put it on par with the hammer. The mace was made to be a strong 1v1 weapon and that’s where it is at with strong control and decent dmg
I think it is viable last night I got 21 stacks of confusion on kholer last night using my hammer on him. But besides that hammer hits hard harder then a great sword but it has obnoxiously long cool downs. Making people think its not as good. However if you can ever get two hammer warriors in a dungeon group you can control pretty much all the mobs and when it comes to bosses you can knock defiant off fairly quickly.
And if one warrior is running a mace when that defiant comes off skull crack him for free hits

I have a sword/sword build that’s mainly power where auto attack is 1.3k crits and 6-8k final thrusts while bleeds still tick for mid-high 80’s and torment for 60’s using knight’s armor zerker back piece and earrings and condition rings and Ammy with runes of the undead
If you are looking at it in terms of skills asuran are the best for radiation field and pain inverter two good skills for a condition warrior IMO. Radiation field applies poison and weakness in an aoe and warriors don’t have much access to poison so that’s a nice skill and pain inverter is three stacks of confusion aoe and also gives retaliation
I mean my confusion still ticks for 1.2 k for 9 stacks and 2.5 k for 18 so my dog with the confusion is still up there I love it makes me people cry
This build works better as a power build as I am running it with mace/shield hammer with great success. Also trait applies 4 stacks on interrupt rune applies 5 on interrupt and other part of rune applies 3 so there is a possibility to apply 12 instantly but every interrupt is 9 stacks. Also for the third part if the rune it says on hit and that triggers from them hitting you not you hitting them. Also before y’all try to smite me down I run rabid armor with knights earrings and power toughness crit dmg trinkets and a zerker back piece and zerker weapons. Since you already have 20 in power might as well make it a power build that also does 1.2k a tick for 9 stacks of confusion

I don’t get why people complain about this build when I have runned a sword/shield hammer build and have totally wrecked classes with that cc. Also before the mace it use to be the hammer burst then switch to gs concept has been around forever why cry now
I have personally started running a dual axe build that has been wrecking in spvp it’s 30/0/20/0/20 in power I take 5% dmg with offhand axe 10% crit dmg with main hand axe and the grandmaster adrenaline trait in defense I took cleansing ire and dogged march and in discipline I took signet recharge and the axe crit adrenaline trait
For the second weapon I’m still experimenting but so far I’ve liked gs for the mobility and setting up evis which on most thieves and rangers I’m getting 8k crits also don’t make the biggest mistake that most warriors do in fights which is standing still constantly move around your opponent and dodge.
Utility skills I take the stamina signet for extra dodges and cond removal berserkers stance to keep Conds from reaching me in the first place. Then I like to use bolas for the long immob to help land that devastating evis elite I use signet of rage and for my heal skill I use adrenaline surge
i love the idea of sword/shield i use it in spvp with a hammer as backup and i run a build alot different from yours but 30/20/10/10/0 i can 4 shot berserker thiefs so much fun to watch.
idk about yall but after the patch doing duels ive beat just about every class with my warrior guardians only ones that give me a real trouble
Ahh i love my warrior in pve can slice through anything i see even solo many of the champs in orr with certain builds. in wvw i have two builds that i can switch around with and be very useful one focused around the hammer and longbow for crushing the hell out of people. or axe/shield and longbow which i use for tanking and just soaking dmg.
I do have a guardian and thief at lvl 80 but i just dont play them that much cause i just cant get into their playstyles so now they are my node farming minions when i need to get lots of orichalcum for something.
warriors best friend for zerg fighting longbow burst so much fun watching a zerg run into that fire field and melt. Run the signet of precision or whatever its called activate it so you can drop it again after cooldown. It may only tick 1k plus fire dmg 1.5k but usually noobs ikittenerg dont pay attention to where they are standing so it adds up fast on them plus like an 8k burst arrow gg.
but no more zerg fighting lets not de rail this guys thread
my favorite hammer build that has such great synergy aoe crip/immob immob gives fury jump in with hammer smash interrupt a few people. interrupt gives 3 stacks of cunfusion which when they activate a skill usually hits them for another 500 its nasty ive watched people melt to this however looks like they nerfed confusion somewhere cause it use to be like 800 . We are a fairly established guild on Darkhaven with tier 5 upgrades in every section. However we are losing activity and its slowing are progress down so we are looking for more active members to help us grow some more. We are a family styled guild and our members always enjoy helping others out and chatting up guild chat. We participate in many different parts of the game including WvW, dungeons, exploring, and guild bounties. We do have vent and we have people that like to chill in their and chat can get pretty crazy sometimes =D always fun tho. We don’t require rep but the only way a guild grows is throw active members repping the guild and bringing influence in. Meaning we would like are members to rep us for the majority of the time in game.
We also try and keep up active buffs at all time like 10% magic find, 5% kill xp, 15% karma on Saturdays. We also have a website at Jaded.boards.net

But ya boldor there are three different dungeons that have PTV gear AC,HOTW,and SE
ya its pretty kitten one day i was chilling in a little camp in orr with a skill point guy in there that you had to fight. well someone comes and activates the guy and starts to hammer away at him. Well the skill point guys runs across the camp just to start attacking me while i was just sitting there.
And ya it seems toughness draws the most aggro so the only thing i could tell you is less toughness but if you are running some clerics with your healing shout build then your kinda screwed.
for the spiked armor its a useless grandmaster trait because it can only proc once every 15 secs giving you 5 secs of retaliation. i know it works ive seen the buff come up on me before just has a stupid long cooldown.

It’s a pretty good build overall, but it relies heavily on the runes.
From what I’ve been hearing, ascended accessories cannot hold runes?
I haven’t spent any laurels to get any (has anyone?) so can’t confirm.If you can, however, get those monk, water, etc. runes on… then it’s good
there is no such thing as ascended armor and runes only go in armor sigils in weapons jewels in assc and infusions in ascended trinkets
hammer has 3 “disabling” skills earthshaker backbreaker and the push back skill. in order to get the dmg buff off the push back skill however as soon as you knock them back you have to run up to them and hit them with say the #2 skill
idk where all get these thief backstab numbers from but i average an 8-9k backstab on lvl 80’s in wvw no matter the class except guardians it like 6k

Yeah, I thought so too; ‘till HoD starting pointing fingers at Darkhaven for “allying with GoM.” I’m just trying to address those accusations, that’s all. No superiority complex here, just cold hard facts. We don’t need to team up with another server to win. May be hard to swallow, but the truth seldom is.
You need to stop with this chest thumping garbage right now. First, we pride ourselves on being good sports. These kinds of posts just make us all look bad. This is the tier where we match off in honorable combat and keep things classy on the forums. Second (and not really bragging – just pointing out), you guys didn’t win the most recent match, so I don’t think you are really looking at all of the “cold hard facts” when you make these kinds of statements.
DH will probably win this week, but I dont see anyone giving up any time soon (its not in our nature). The early lead is a little more significant than the one you had last week. I dont care if its because you got alot of transfers or if its because you are organizing better (either is a good thing). The only thing that matters is that we keep the fighting fun and discourse classy.

To all my fellow Henge of Denravi players, I just want to say it was amazing holding Overlook with you today. Of the time I posted this message we have been holding out there for about 5 hours or so, and we have slain hundreds upon hundreds of players, destroyed 50 rams, 20 catapults and 6 golems after almost a dozen rapid and constant attacks from Darkhaven.
I feel older and greyer after that, Darkhaven, it was amazing holding keep against you and being the lone beacon of defiance against the green tide surrounding our overlook was a memory I won’t be forgetting any time soon. Thanks for the fight, now can you leave us alone for a few hours so I can sleep?
ha I barely got any sleep last night cause HOD and GOM were trying to squeeze us DH on our keep my god it was a fun fight and HOD got through the first gate but didn’t have the forces to push into the second. DH then finally had two thieves one including me take out HOD trebs eventually took the tower and started to push yall back away from the our keep wonderful fight many glorious badges
I know I was able to stack up to 3 mins of fury farming with my greatsword using the arcing slice and sig of rage
this is no bug a net was doing tests to try and improve arcing slice since it totally sucks right now. so they tried adding might into it but the trait berserker’s power is better then the 15 stacks so they decided to not go with it they just forgot to remove the might buff from the toolrip
Changing the animation to be an actual uppercut and adding a blowout function to it would be kinda neat.
This would be amazing right here i never undetstood why it did the wrong animation and scale the blowout with adren level plus after knocking them back you can rush into them 100b spin out and what ever else you feel like doing

Pssh my warrior tanks a hell of a lot better then my guardian both of them being lvl 80. And that being said my warrior signet heal more every second then my guard’s virtue of justice and my guard has the trait and fairly well specced into healing while my warrior isnt. Plus warrior has another regen trait and i run dolyak runes on him. And when you are looking to survive as a warrior run a hammer you can trait 20 20 20 10 0 have 3407 armor with 25k and crit for 3.5k with single attack much like the gs yet you can knockdown aoe stun aoe pushback aoe cripple CC= survivablitlit as a warior
Just a heads up i didnt read everyones replies but you can get exotic PTV gear from AC and its cheaper then all the other dungeons. Also i run Exotic PTV with Knight’s assc and my stats are as with hammer 3k attack 3337 armor 25k health 47% crit chance. with sword and shield combo 2800 attack 3488 armor 25k health 57% crit chance. For a secondary i will always run a longbow for range and the good dmg it can put out. I rune 6 dolyak runes and my traits are 20 20 20 10 0. I have three different regens going at all times one from my signet one from the rune and another from the trait adrenal health it turns out to be like 580 every 3 secs and 250 every second. With this trait setup i can trait into all the warrior weps except for longbow.
I am a force to be reckoned with in dungeons especially with my hammer cause i can control mobs like they are my pets. And if i have my hammer buddy mobs really have a tough time. And if your worried about damage if you run your hammer right you can still crit 3k with a single hammer skill 2-5 and your burst skill.
