Okay, I’ll farm more of these nodes until next week and will check if the drop rate was really changed.
As what i have said i’ve been farming this node for months, so it was just an odd experience since wvw gliding update and i also mentioned i saw “new spots” of mussel nodes in VB so i assumed it was somehow reconfigured.
I’ve been farming this for months now(as one of my main sources of gold). Mussel nodes refresh every 1hour and i try to gather them 5-6 times a day using 5 characters, and my average pearl gain is 5~7 per day.
For 2 days now since the PvP balance patch i only got 1, was it nerfed?
I can see “new” mussels node spots(in VB) so i assume it was updated/configured or nerfed?
Is the heat room %damage same in all scales of thaumanova fractal? Just curious
I can solo it on Tier 1/Tier 2 scales (w/ 1 rod) i wonder if the percentage of damage is different in higher scales
Just a heads up. If you guys need help in Ember Bay JP (+tokens inside the jp) and Chest & Goggles in Not So Secret send me a whisper ingame.

1. Champ bags (heirloom seed pouches, bandit purses, etc.)
2. Bags of gear (greens)
I’ve done the bag openings a few times but I never counted my gold gain. I’m going back to SW farming so i would like to know so I can keep track of it.
How many gold per stack? Or per 1k champ bags or per 1k bags of gear?

Like Isles-of-janthir-themed Legendaries? I think its a little bit disappointing considering 1st Gen legendaries are unique to each other.
It’s like we are getting a “new-set-of-BL-skins-feeling” XD . Legendaries with the same theme according to ls3 episodes.
The AB Meta event only takes 15 mins to do.
15 mins every 2 hours isnt going to do much to drain the other zones.
I do this event a lot , and it typically averages around 10 – 15 players per gate, so a total of 60 players tops.
Thats less people than you typically see standing around the TP in Rata Sum.
As for why ppl dont go to TD, how about the insanely difficult terrain.
its not only 15min though, for example
12:45 challenges start = 15mins
1:00~1:30 octovine~looting event using all characters = 30mins
and as what you have said 15 players per gate so 60 players PER MAP
Let’s say multi loot maps consist of minimum of 3maps = 180 players
and ppl need to go back at least 2:45 for the next AB Meta
so the only free time for those AB Meta farmers are around
1:30~2:45
I’m a multiloot farmer before but I can’t accomplish many things because of limited time every other AB Meta(like what i said only 1hr+ of free time till meta begins again)
Any speculation about what weapon for the next legendary release? As far as I know they are not going to make 2nd gen legendaries for underwater weapons right?

“Grawl Devotion” where you need to kill Champion Frainn, but in order to active the event you need to complete an escort first.
The escort is bugged. So for the others who have done this collection, how did you get this one done?
I would’ve not done this collection for meteorogicus if I knew there was a bug at tier 3.

I always ask ppl just to stick together and wait for my ports so I do most of the jumps. 15~20mins?(Waiting for CDs/ porting people who fall / Porting myself when i fall XD).
If there are ppl like to wander around and just jumping anywhere and they will slip, it will probably take much more time to recover and finish the jp with the squad.
@Ghataka, he was just standing on his spot(no blink no split etc), he was able to port us into really far places (like what i said, areas blocked by vines)
I even targeted him just to be sure he’s still standing on his spot.
And also one thing i forgot to tell, he was able to port us in some areas in AB blocked by vines (which needs the meta to be done so the vines are not active)

I have a mesmer alt too so I’m intrigued. Today I joined a Hero Point train in Auric Basin using my new lvl80 alt in order to complete elite spec.
Commanders running HP trains tend to be Mesmers (maybe for portals and such).
What he did for like many times was he will put a portal down(portal entre),then he’ll just stand and after ~3seconds he will put portal exit(exit) and voila ! We’re teleported to a high ledge OR any area like really far from where we are.
I tried asking him but he said it’s a secret. I’m dying to know this trick lol xD.
So my point is how is he doing portals on 2 separate points(Open and exit) while he is just standing there on his spot !!
TL;DR Commander HP Train Mesmer ports us to different areas (high ledges/ really far places) by just him standing on his spot and putting down ports. He is not moving at all.
I changed my main from ranger to ele since HoT and since then im doing fractals
for T1 and T2. I’m a bit worried because ele is so squishy so ele in t4 fracs might not be good. I tried doing T4 but i ended up being kicked because they need NECRO NECRO NECRO / DRUID DRUID.
I usually pug fracs and i always see necro/druid/chrono line up so i start to change my mind what class should i use and start to gear up.(another asc set)
I also included my DH in the list since they removed the Boon thieves inst. in high lvl fracs because it’s an issue with DH.
So far I have DH, Chrono , Ele, Druid available for fractals what class should I gear?
Zerk hammer guard maybe?
Chrono commander’s or zerk’s?
Druid Zerk’s? (Or Magi’s? (incomplete magi asc trinkets though)
or should i stick to my ele…

So I really need these shards for my legendary backpiece(fractal)collections
I looked it up on Wiki and it says it can be farmed on fractal scales 21-100, but before it’s popular that farming 72 is the best way for gaining shards.
I tried some farming in Scale 22(Volcanic fractal trash mobs) and I only got Vials(tier 1) of Condensed Mists Essence. I can’t put up an lfg in Tier 3/4 Fractals because my PERSONAL Fractal Level is still low.
I tried asking a guildmate to open a 72 instance for me (and he left ofc)but once I exited on the volcanic fractal, the scale just returned to my personal lvl
Anyone /any group who can help me or join me farm these shards? I think I need around 6 pieces of it, but I just need atleast 1 atm to complete the Tier 3 collection.

Well. There is no easy answer for this, it kinda depends on the bags. 2 general statements:
-It should be more beneficial to open at lvl 80, or at least it will not loose you a lot.
Sometimes you get better materials on low level, but exotics and other valuable ‘gear-loot’ mostly drop at higher levels.
-It doesnt matter. At all. If you are not running tequatl over and over I cant think of any loot bag that will heavily impact your overall gold gain.
Just play the game and open your stuff, even if you miss out on a gold or two, i strongly doubt you will ever regret it. If you have inventory space amass you can of course always decide to keep it.
Again: it hardly matters.
The champ bag specific exotics will still drop when opened by a lower level character.
precursors wont tho
as stated by my guildmates (our guild is SW farm guild).. they got precursors on champ bags on their alts (53 ~ below)
and as stated in wiki: Precursor weapons can be obtained from almost any item source.
A precursor can also drop from any chest or container that drops weapons.
^ well it’s like do you want to run a raid with someone in your party a staff Guardian / rifle Warrior and bunch of not meta weapons+class … especially in Raids you really need that DPS.
I dont want to invest on a long term goal that would just be wasted

“Just a casual player” shouldn’t give a flying quaggan about raids/meta etc…
Also just putting this out there; if you have time to build a legendary weapon, you can just as easily make an ascended weapon that does fit whatever build your “meta” needs.
Yeah im just a casual player nowadays but im pretty fully geared now(full asc) so im looking forward for the raids too.

Well I want a legendary for my character but most ppl rely on metabattle for the “meta” of that class and unfortunately the leg i want is not in the meta.
edit: and when you’re not in the meta you can’t do really much. (fracs/dgs/RAIDS)

You don’t need to complete it if you may skip it and head to the next one then comeback when you need that couple of exp. Other MMOs still have that repetitive kitten questing system Talk to NPC A kill X Mobs talk back to NPC A talk to NPC B kill XX Mobs then talk to NPC C. Guild wars 2 have dynamic events system. I played Blade and Soul for a couple of hours then got BORED.

4.Do Edge of The Mists leveling (Follow a commander then do events, capture towers,points etc)
5.Consume Food/Nourishment and Utility Food for that extra +10~20% experience.

7. Enjoy the game, no need to rush… really…
8.JOIN A GUILD. You’re missing chunk of your gw2 experience playing when you’re not in a guild, they will help you on soo many things.
There was a picture in the HoT website (can’t find it now) that showed a hydra surfing into the new lions arch on a huge wave. Could be artistic licence or the direction the game is going. The lack of work on underwater combat sort of limits this though.
