Rev still looses its utilities when it takes up a tactic banner in wvw

tooltips of many traits skills made no more sense as mechanics like petsswap, pet buffs or shroud related stuff does not exists with new elite anymore to name a few examples

condis are still way too strong in wvw and to extents in spvp too
I know its hard to balance them as you never know when they will be cleansed
maybe just disable dmg condis altogether to free up time to properly balance the rest
so there are no more options to kill players in 2 to 3 seconds in 1vs1 situations
not every one has good ping and the reaction time of a child if every class would not be stronger as core ranger that would be a good starting point for good fights that are not instantly over

Fortified towers on EBG or BL bugged?

towers are captured much faster on EBG too in Borderlands it takes “hours” compared to what we have in EBG ( I mean the open circle ticking after lord dead the difference is extrem)

the problem with conditions is that they are still doing dmg when you are not actively doing something and you never know for howlong

ah good question in the past I would have said that are the players who defend and scout all day long but those have become rarer with the time as it was more frustrating overall I guess
cant count how many times there was drama when the “progressiv” wvw guilds did not respond for help calls to defend something cause they were meeting at southcamp to fight each other and not care so much about that there are towers and keeps on the map
overtime this changed the overall mindset into yeah who cares if something cant be defended we will just get it back later it does not matter especially since HoT introduced shield generators which makes defending extra hard
I am really curious on how long it will take to turn wvw into another edge of the mists karma train or should I say pip train :-p

some tips regarding the commanders guardian playstyle
as a guardian please use virtues before or while channeling renewed focus
and that healskill is best used in direction of your party
so turn around or bind the turn around key in options for easy 180° turns

Anet already did this with stability in the past because it was so strong, maybe it is time to do this for resistance too
So if you have 5 stacks of resistance and you get 5 stacks of one condition resistance is used up
or an other variant it´s used up when 5 stacks from different conditions got applied to you

Sure you could do that but I think it would be much better to level up like this via PvP and use a dungeon path to get 3 exo weapons too
only when you are lvl 80 go into WvW as being upscaled in WvW is really not so fun

please dont only look at classes only
but also at the builds they are using
you can have a big difference in your mmr depending on which kind of build you are using on one class

actually you are stuck in a loss win win loss win win situation as you cant get back from one loss with one win you need at least two wins in a row to compensate one loss which is really frustrating when you get extremly unlucky with your teammates mostly and sometimes even cause enemy team is just overpowering and every one in your team wonders why you where matched up against each other in the first place and I am not talking about off prime time here

actually we don´t not need class distribution balance alone but also traits/stats distribution balance
the game needs to know how many are tank how many are roamers how many are glasscanon how many are condi and so on to calculate only on mmr is not the best if you dont look at how the classes in a team are build

yeah we really are in need of a working tooltip/stats system which is actually showing whats going on
it does not help at all that somewhere in the wiki you can find certain modifiers which make you realiz which skills work better with critdmg and which not why is such info hiden ingame ? why is something like that even there ?

well seriously I dont get it too how they could mess up the relative okish balancing pre Hot (besides thieves burstdmg maybe) so much

In comparison to CS when HoT shipped with the elite specs its like every one was upgrade from the low dmg sniper to the overpowerd awp
its not fun anymore to play pvp or wvw in PvE it does not matter that much cause everyone was abusing stacking bosses and spam to death anyway but competetive play is just a ridiculus mess now

also yes treb should be affected from condis and have a red ring for where it hits

over all that map is one of the better balanced ones
as the treb does not influence the game so much its much easier to react to

the pvp game is in a realy bad state
there is so much happening so fast even in recordings I cant see anymore what is happening which skills were used and combat log does not help at all since you would need a clock with timestamp that shows at least seconds not only minutes
a quick solution would be a global cooldown for all skills besides autoattack and heal
that would also help players who dont own a gamer keyboard where you can press more than three keys at once

Slow down the game maybe the shoutcasters could actually make better coments of what is happening in the fights and not only about some of the more obvious skills like lich or rampage

you could try the following in explorer “%appdata%”
look for your GW2 directory and rename the local.dat
you may need to change your launchers language after that
this file gets bigger and bigger over time and is known for slowing down the client

while you are looking at the downstate icon, would it be possible to remove it from dead people in WvW while you are in combat ? it´s really annoying when you see the rezz icon run to him only to get the message you cant rezz while in combat
in bigger fights it is often not possible to see if someone is already dead or still in downstate
oh and while you are it please make rez traits combat only
as a guardian its useless to have your shieldrezbubble popup while you are out of combat going on cooldown so you will not have it ready for when you are infight again

Many of you have been inquiring as to why we made the decision to remove the crafting stations in WvW. We made this decision because we have been seeing an increase in queue times with world linking. Upon observation we found there have been players taking up space in the maps who are only crafting and not participating with their teams. However, we’ve been listening to your feedback today and we wanted to let you know that we will be adding a banker to each team starting area in EB, Alpine and Desert. Thank you for the continued feedback!

sorry but that is just ridiculus there are much more people afk at spawn than there are people crafting you really can´t be serious the increase in queue times can´t be influenced that much because a handfull of crafters for few minutes
if you want to do something usefull set afk time to 1 or 2 minutes while you have the invuln buff from standing in wvw spawn so we can get rid of the afk spawn people

And we don´t need bank NPC the resource tab is useless now as we cant craft anymore in WvW and the normal bank inventory tab is already accessible via the upper left dropdown menu in guild bank panel

you can get +5 supply now at guild level 6 so it is much cheaper and easier to get just wondering what it will cost besides the 100 gold for the guildhall in the past +5 supply cost 40 silver every 12 hours or something like that … well not really as you got the influence for it automatically just from people logging in but yeah theoretically it would have cost you 40 silver every 12 hours ;-p

and just out of curiosity did they ever mention why they took +5 supply away from us with the release of HoT and put it behind a ridiculous grind wall which is even impossible to do in WvW ?

hm ok but if you remove autoattack from turrets and spiritweapons and minions and pets
so they dont attack anything unless you have it targeted and actively are attacking it
that should be enough shouldn´t it ?

the solution to this should be pretty simple
just remove the auto attack feature from the pets
so you need to press a key when they should start attacking someone you have targeted

the skill Phase Smash is completely broken

It does over 10k crit dmg although in wiki it says only 246 dmg
how is that even possible to hit for so much dmg
while other skills which in wiki have higher dmg values like backstab dont hit so hard
and why does even the auto attack of the hammer from revenant hit for 4k+

please anet I can understand that it is impossible to balance all skills but at least implement a global dmg cap so you can at most only crit once every second and for a maximum of 4k and never hit with autoattack above 1k

it was in WvW a 1 vs 1 me having 18k life so the fight was over after just 2 hits … please this is not good reduce the overall dmg which can be dealt per sec

now we always have to keep an eye on the upper left when we want to see the health bar of our party members

Getting enough people to form a zerg
I used to enjoy roaming around in WvW during downtime, doing some gathering and grabbing small objectives. I could also fight 1v1 and feel I had a reasonable chance. It killed a bit of time while waiting for the zerg to start. And, because lots of people did it, it meant that when a commander tagged up, there were lots of people dotted around who would join him.

But in the HOT power creep, if you’re specced for it, its very easy to stunlock and nuke someone to death in about 2 seconds. So its super boring to leave your keep, because if you encounter someone there’s no feeling that you have any chance of winning in 1v1, because you either have an overpowered gank spec or you don’t. Also there’s less need to leave your keep, because the gatherables are inside.

So now you just go from keep to tower grabbing all the gatherables, trying hard to avoid the enemy like a coward, then you get bored and leave. Then a commander tags up and can’t find a group, because there’s noone around.

So the commander tags down. Then a new person joins the map, doesn’t see a commander to join, doesn’t have any reason to roam because there’s no gatherables, doesn’t want to roam because of power creep, so there’s nothing to do so he leaves. And that is why its hard to get anything started in WvW now – at least for me and my friends. There’s no reason or desire to stick around anymore.

thats a direct explanation to one of the major WvW problems

I really don´t think that the missing random gatherspots are the reason that roamers dont like to WvW actually the way it is now with the gatherstations at fixed positions is much better as your scouts get something that way and what is much more important you dont loose pugs to farm nodes on your way to the next target anymore

please change T1 Upgrade to only need 10 dolyaks
to escort 20 dolyaks is really time consuming and boring for guild missions

1. Mercyrule
if you are behind 200 points and the score is already at 300 for the winning team end the game
if you are 100 behind and the score of the winning team is already at 400 end the game

reduce amount of points you get from lord kill and npc mobs or adjust the mercyrule treshold on such maps

2. split HoT and non HoT players enough of the p2w bullkitten gw2 became with HoT because I cant see how you will fix the balanceing issues ever as there were/are already enough balancing issues befor HoT with certain builds/classes

3. solo queue option
if I am not in a party I dont want to play against a party

4. pvp qualifier
please dont let players in ranked who cant even kill the lord with npcs or even worse the npc mobs svanir and chieftain

5. sometimes its hard too see the number of players on the minimap which fight over a point as they are overlapping to much so a number showing the players on point would be nice

dont show nameplates und rezicon for deadplayers while in combat we cant rezz them anyway

fix HoT WvW Guildupgrades you killed all small WvW Guilds cause they will never get enough gold to get back there guild katas and +5 supply

its really not good to have no one at offtime who can claim something with +5 cause only a few bigger guilds can afford such guild upgrades

please fix squads you get much less loot as if when you are in a party and when the squad is full you dont get any loot at all if all are hitting one target

we need sand drops for scribe for wvw upgrades or give us an npc to exchange badges for sand

also as we dont get any crafting mats for ascended crafting what about exchange of badges for ascended armor and weapons

merge dead wvw servers (everything below medium)

please take a look a dragonhunter longbow skill trueshot too, that skill does so much dmg while on ranger the only dmg skill is on a long channel so it is much more easy to avoid its dmg
at the moment the dragonhunter is the much better ranger
not only are its traps much strong the bow is also stronger as on ranger
oh and of course improving some AA on ranger would be nice too as it does not even do as much dmg as current thief autoattacks

Don’t forget that you also have a pet – I hope you included that into your “we don’t do as much damage as a thief”.

no I did not forget about pets but the sad truth is that besides the two pets mentioned in this thread
the dmg from the other pets is neglectible especially if we are talking about frontline pets againts moving targets
if the pets would actually jump directly into the enemies face when I press F1 and did dmg I would not have complained about the low dmg of ranger AA compared to thieves

What auto attack are you talking about anyway? From which weapon?

World vs World Holiday Sneak Peek

Two really needed changes:

1) Nerf Revenant Hammer #2. Some guilds are going full revenant now and you can do 7k+ damage per hit to 5 players, on a skill with a 2-second cooldown. This is an absurd amount of damage and makes it so you can’t even get close to guilds that are running this setup.

2) Reverse the stability change in WvW, so that stability does not get stripped when CC is done. Again, this makes it very difficult for a group to engage another group, because they can simply be CC bombed.

7k? You forgot the first number, it hits for 14-18k when the trait is triggered (see screenshot)

Also I totally about Stability, it was a bad change initially.

before changing how many players rally on killing downed player
please insert a global dmg limit instead of trying to balance stuff for every classes skill/trait combo
just give up on that
you will never get that to a point where it wont completly ruin other builds
just implement a global dmg limit of lets say 4k per crit per second and 2k per normal hit per second

Reaper Shroud 2 has targeting/control issues
Sounds like a lot of you guys accidentally ran off of cliffs with Death’s Charge :P so we’re changing this to be more like the Warrior Sword skill Savage Leap. It will no longer go through targets you have selected, but will go its full distance if you have no target.

noo please not an other selfkill leap skill because deselecting target via clicking in screen did not work intime so you leap in the middle of enemy zerg cause of jump to target :-(
please give us an option to toggle this so we can select if we want our leaps to jump to target or in direction in which our char is looking

at least at world boss fights you should party up
it helps with getting back into the map you were on when you got disconneced
and at some bosses it helps to get loot of the boss directly which is nearly impossible if you have no party cause of not contributing enough to the fight
that said overall you get much more loot when you fight when in a party
you have to be in a party
just staying close together killing the same stuff wont help
if you want more loot
as there is somekind of mechanism when you are in a party
the dmg you deal and what your party deals
count for you as your fight contribution so more loot
well at least if your other party members are not doing way less dmg than you

You can try this pretty easily in WvW
when you are in a party running around with the zerg
and you can get one or two hits on an enemy before he is dead
you will get xp and loot
if you are not in a party and get only one or two hits on that enemy
you may not only get no loot but often you wont even get xp
because you at your own did not contribute enoug to the fight
while being in party your contribution and a party of what your party members did
nettet enough to your contribution to get xp and loot
of course not every monster or enemy drops loot even when in a party

Hello Anet,

the last big skill/trait patch seems to have missed this one here
would be nice to get some claryfication

the 10% bonus dmg is not working for stolen stuff (F1) or other skills when you have stolen something
also if you don´t have utilities of all 5 types equiped the recharge sometimes wont happen at all it´s recharging a not even equiped utility I guess
