Once raiding was actually accessible for people who weren’t camping the squad UI 24/7, multiple other guilds did this pretty effortlessly aswell.

You can avoid using any dodges on his lift off life drain if you’re on GS. You can about face and use GS3 out of it but to do it with no dodges instead of just 1 takes some pretty specific timing and initial positioning and a weapon swap at the end of the leap.

Thief is much more preferred in any fast run groups just because he supports and utilizes icebow better than the engi.

Berserker engie is weaker than Thief with ice bow, yes, but the difference isn’t noticeable to the human eye. A 9 second ice bow boss fight lasts 9.5 with berserker engie in place of thief, and thats being generous to the Thief. Whoop de doo.

I can’t wait for Ice Bow to be gone then we get to read all the threads about how useless Thief is as a class in PvE.

Definitely not optimized. I noticed quite a few bad moves here.

#1: Chilling bolts don’t actually do damage. Without Bitter Chill there’s no reason to use Soul Spiral in the ice field left by executioner’s strike.

He was overstacking on chill due to his timing, but there definately a huge point in chilling bosses (spoiler: they attack less)

Thief/engie: smoke fields, heavy CC (could be extremely important to be able to melt breakbars quickly), blast finishers on demand.

Engi: Smoke fields, fire fields, blasts, cripple, immobilise, water field, heals, condition cleanse, blinds, projectile blocks, stuns/pulls/daze/knockbacks/defiance strip, phat DPS with power and condition builds.

Now that Engi DPS is better than thief I doubt there’ll be much point in taking a thief unless SR or blink trickery is really necessary

No because that means there is a party compisition requirement to complete the raid, which A-net is against and believes 10 Settler’s Necros should also be able to complete their challenging content

Of all the people to ask that too heh. I think you’re seriously overestimating the amount of skill required to trio 50 and underestimating the amount of people who do it. As many people solo/duo/trio 50 nowadays as people were solo/duo/trio’ing Arah in 2013/4.
