Why not just make it a permanent buff when you complete the story, lot less headaches.

We probably won’t get a fix till next week, and I like the permanent buff idea. Don’t really see the point of having to do the recipe everyday, other then sink berries which I don’t think would be that big of a deal because once people have the achieves/story in that area they won’t go over there anymore.

I have also kill unbound guardian twice and have not received credit for Available Guardian achievement. Do you have to do the whole event chain? I joined the map when they were moving to the spot where guardian spawns, but before he actually spawned, and then again when guardian was at 90%.

EDIT: So after doing it a third time, I joined near the start killing 5 jade then moving to the guardian I got the achievement.

In all seriousness, I’ve been part of [MINI] for a year this month and it has been one of the best group of friends I have found in all of my gaming days. The memories we have created are some Ill remember for a long time! Reiji, I’m glad you are doing a lot better! seems like things are starting to go back to normal after the chaos. Having this bug. keeps going off every minute for the past 20 min. chat is working fine and I don’t see anything different with the guild interface.

I am currently stuck on this part. I’ve been in 4 different maps, checked via /ip, and waited for at least 2 hours on each. Is this every gonna be fixed/changed? From what I’ve seen on forums/reddit is that its a toss up whether you get broodmother or stop the grawl. Its ridiculous that instead of playing the game, we have to wait around for hours to get one event to spawn. I haven’t seen any dev’s talking about if its gonna be fixed or not…

There has been a few threads on this topic. I remember, can’t find it, Colin saying it would be out by the time you finish the pre. I started day 2 and even missed a few of the days for the pages and I finished it at the start of December. One of the components is tied to leaderboards and they have promised leaderboards in the past and look where we are. I don’t care for the learderboards but if it’s for the back piece then I care. That was the one item I wanted when hot launched.

I’m in a guild with 94 on the roster, and probably only half of those are actually active, and we’ve been doing fine. The only thing holding us back is favor. Items are coming in quickly, but we have members that are willing to donate to the guild hall. Also your not suppose to get a fully upgraded guild hall in 3 weeks. Its suppose to take 6-9 months, so in 6 months come back and complain then, for now just keep upgrading.

You could always play through the story with multiple characters to unlock more.

I believe its the same three for every profession. sword/pistol/torch? that was for mes and guard i know sword i can’t remember the other too. if its different, which profession had focus? anyone know?

the currency isn’t the issue, its the chak eggs. I’ve open about 25 supply cache and haven’t gotten a single one, unless I’m mistaken and they don’t drop from them.

We already see this happening with the hero points/elite spec. the people that thought it was to much were complaining. Anet changes it. Now all the people that got it are complain that their prestige is gone. you can’t make everyone happy. As for as the CoF farm, I don’t care either way but i was expecting Anet to nerf it because they like to nerf things. Even nerf the nerf gun.

pugged it, 4man maw (5th personal d/c during the running part and didn’t get back in time) and did it with 4 seconds to spare. we also didn’t do lifesteal.

I tried after the patch and it still stopped me at the second step.

I submitted a ticket but have only got the “Request received” email. hope this gets fixed soon. Im currently the one making all the mugs, kegs, and linseed oils for my guild, but I have to have someone tell me how many and then send them a stuff to donate.

well you can technically access your bank through any guild bank, you just can’t access the mat storage. To do this, above where your inventory in the guild bank panel is a drop down box and just select account vault. there your bank part will show up where the inventory was. Although having a personal bank would be nice. having to load into la or ebg to grab mats for the guild hall upgrade is kinda annoying.

I personally love the expansion, even the “grind” (which isn’t really a grind at all) and I know tons of other people have as well. To the people saying this isn’t what we payed for, it sure is because they delivered what they said. You got all the new content, if you don’t like it thats your problem not Anets. I know they have worked very kitten this and to have people call it trash or threaten a dev, its just rude as kitten. I know it seems like a lot of people are complaining, but the ones who love it are usually playing the game and not raging on the forums.

Thanks to multiple people stating this over on reddit, this order of things seem to work! “Go to Tangled Depths, quit the story mission, restart it, wp to another jungle zone, wp back in.”

However, it’s apparently still bugged after first step of the guest.

Well for the new skins their making a recipe to convert any skin into a different skin. So we might be able to convert any of the duplicates that we currently have into a different skin. I doubt they would allow us to convert them into pristine relics, but that would be nice.

GW2 lives off of being different and Im pretty sure the devs don’t want to make a wow copy cat like the other 1000’s of mmos out there. Well at least I don’t want them to copy them.

I think the timers are fine, however, if this is used on every boss, its gonna get old. For Vale, they might want to adjust the timer a bit.

Theres a couple ways they could use the “Enrage” mechanic.
1. Mechanical Fail: You missed to many of X and he Enrages.
2. Gradually get stronger over time: For this he would gain like X% damage increase every X second(time). This way you don’t draw out the fight so long.

Theres probably a few more we could come up with.

To OP, even before you posted this a lot of your questions were answered by devs, but people are answering you.

They had it turned on for a few mins. Its now turned off again. Seems like their working on it today.

myself and two of my friends manage to put together a group from the map and got in last night. We didn’t use any voice coms at all. One the people we picked up was able to get in earlier and knew a lot of the mechanics. I also watched one of the runs from the night before and read up on reddit of the mechanics, so we knew what to except for each fight. That being said, I think as time moves forward and more and more people go through it and help people, people will understand what to do. So go crazy with mechanics, people will learn!

we got through the three mini bosses pretty easy, but Vale took a while to get a strategy together, and by the time we got it figured out, 2 people d/c. That and we weren’t sure if we changed classes if we would be able to get back in. Our dps was a bit low and probably wouldn’t make it before the timer ran out. So for a comp I see being used is 4 power, 4 condi, 1 boon striper, and 1 tank. The tank holds aggro on the boss and you have 5 people at the boss, the other 5 range it and focus on getting in the orange circle to stop the map wide aoe while dealing with the seekers. The ring is divided into 3 slices, the boss will only spawn the map wide aoe in the slice he is in. whether or not this is a good way of dealing with it, we shall see when we get more time with playing in the raid.

I know my group loved it from the start! We spent about 2 hours in there and it was fun trying to figure out as a group what to do and trying different things. keep it up raid team and I look forward to see what you throw at us next.

wow people are getting super upset by this, just like EVERYTHING anet does. Theres always a group of people who get upset at anything anet does, even if anet gives every player 100 gems someone will complain. This change is happening, plan around it.

For those saying its gonna “mess up” their guild mission night, its not. So this Saturday still counts for this week, so you don’t do it this weekend then next Saturday you continue as if nothing has changed. If you do other events along with mission, just skip missions and do your other event. Really not a big deal.

I, also, was wondering about the key reset.

I stopped playing about the sometime you did, but i joined back in June 2014, and I must say a lot has changed. Pvp matchmaking plus some maps removed and a few added. New achievement reward system. World boss reworks, plus a new one, triple trouble. And theres a lot of Quality of Life changes such has no longer being kicked from a dungeon when the party leader d/c. Honestly theres to much to really list off without making the post to long, but in my opinion, it has changed for the better. And welcome back! Hope you enjoy the ride!

They might be just changing the name and format. I remember Rubi mentioned, in a twitch chat, that she was planning a legendary weapon PoI and we haven’t seen that yet. I find the show very informative and kinda gets the message of gw2 out there via twitch, so the name change is my best bet.

Under the The Jungle section it says “You’ll journey through four of the largest, most diverse and replayable maps ever built in the world of Guild Wars”

So the kessex hills map just ended. I got 13 stacks and only got 5 blooms, how does this “scaling” work??!?

5 blooms for 30 min of work isn’t worth it. if the scaling is fixed, how does it work? i want the 4 skins, which is 900 blooms, is it possible to get them all?

30 min of work for 5 blossoms… really? i want the 4 skins, thats 900 blossoms totally, which is impossible to do with the rate these events work. even getting one of the potions, you need to play 93% of all the events, assuming it happens every hour. its not worth it.

I think the OP just wants to complain. Its only for a weekend, as other have said, Anet is NOT forcing anyone to do anything. You can NOT play for a weekend if you don’t want to play as or against the new spec/class. I, for one, am glad the are doing testing in the live client. This means the new spec/class is getting balanced against whats currently in the live game. If the did a beta client everyone there would be playing the new spec/class and thus everything gets balanced against the new stuff and not whats in the game because lets be honest most people would want to play the new stuff when playing in the beta.

I payed full priced for the game… 3 years ago. I have put 3,500 hours into the game, I think i got my moneys worth. Which a lot of people are not considering the amount of entertainment they get out of the game. You pay $30 for a 2 hour dvd movie, I think a $60 game with thousands of hours of content is one kitten of a deal. And I know there are more players with WAY more hours of game time then me. Been seeing a lot of these types of posts ever since they announced the pre-purchase.

As far as my thoughts on f2p, with the restrictions on those free accounts, i think its a good thing for gw2. The player base will grow because people can try before they buy. With the restrictions, it will limit botters.

Preloading (headstart) is usually mentioned as one of the bonuses (it was with the original release) since there has been no word on it whatsoever, i’ not gonna expect one.
And yes it’s common with newly released games, with expansions however? not sure.

Preloading and head start are 2 different things. Preloading is have everything downloaded so we don’t have to wait 4 hours to play, which i assume they will do. I mean we already have some of the content on our computers right now because of betas. Head start is getting to play early, which I don’t think they plan on doing.

Not to thrilled about the f2p, although this might help the spvp side of things as far as growth. I already don’t pug dungeons because of people not knowing their stuff, but with free accounts there will probably be more trolls around. Make a free account and troll because there will be no consequence to their actions. With the way thing are now, you lose out on money when you get banned.

Mike and Colin last time they were on stage together they revealed the expansion could we get a big announcement next week lets wait and see.

I suspect that a release date will be announced here because there aren’t really any big gaming cons that I see them going to, maybe PAX AUS in October, but I don’t think they have a big demographic there to have such a huge announcement there. It would be weird to have such a mic drop moment on a POI/blogpost.

Just logged in to say I’m pretty mad about this change. I had a lot enchanted boosters saved that i only use in eotm for karma boost. I think they should have let those that already had them still be able to pick karma. Magic find is basically useless because mobs don’t really drop loot and mf doesn’t affect chest and bags, and all my toons are already 80 so exp boost is useless too.

Plus I have a beta slot and soon to be extra slot Anet is giving for free that will be a revenant. Also the races are 3 human, 2 sylvair, 2 asura, 1 charr, 1 norn, and my rev I plan on making a human.

It could be because I’ve always played gw2 on a macbook pro (late 2011) and I have gotten use to playing on the lowest settings but everything seems fine to me. I rarely get crashes (and its usually due to internet and not my macbook), sometimes during heavy fights at world bosses/wvw it will drop fps, but I think a lot of people do.

Why would HoT not be supported? its still gw2 just throwing in new content, like what they have been doing with living world and such, its not a completely different game. As for getting a native client, I would love one, but I don’t see it coming at all. just takes up a lot of resources to recode everything. Just my thoughts/experience on the matter.
