Hi,
My husband and I have a few ideas: one, can the starter necromancer skull face, or something similar, be turned into a tattoo for Norns?
Now for the emblems. It is called “Guild Wars”, but so many guilds have very similar emblems. The choices for what one can make for their guild are pretty thin. I’m sure you’ve heard this, but we could go for some more emblem designs and background designs. And the emblem designs should be able to be dragged around and placed on the background.
The color palette is pretty sparse, too. Now, you guys could easily throw a bunch of colors up there, but… we thought maybe there could be an option with dyes: when it is consumed the consumer could choose to either keep the color on that character or put it in their guild’s palette (if it’s not already there). This could be controlled by rank, too. A guild leader could decide which ranks would have this option with their dyes—so that a guild’s palette wouldn’t get overrun if the guild leader didn’t want it to—and… this gives dyes another useful place, allows for some randomness in color availability and makes for more varied guild designs, and opens up the market for dyes and ups the value of the dyes to another group of people.
Please consider our suggestions, and thanks for an awesome game and all of your hard work!

Weirdly, enough it’s only on the male coats. My husband’s hunter is messed up—my rogue has all four colors and slots just fine. I hope they fix it, though, my husband is really p.o.’d about it right now.
Like I said, I’m greedy, and “sweet backpack” is definitely in the eye of the beholder. I’m not sure how a book that plays a cut scene I could look up on Youtube and takes space up in my bank is really worth the effort. It just seemed a bit weak compared to the effort put forth.
I know someone spent some real time on that cut scene, and it’s lovely (I guess, many people like Majory, but I think she looks a bit mongoloid, myself), but after all the work I put into the entire Dragon Bash set of achievements, getting a cut scene journal seemed like a bit of a downer. I couldn’t help thinking of that scene in “A Christmas Story” when Ralphie uses the ring to decipher the message and it’s “Be Sure to Drink Your Ovaltine”. I’m not sure what I was expecting (hoping for more karma and gold, but hey, I’m greedy). It just seemed like a bit of a let down.
Hahaha, I got dumped in a 1 v. 1 team with an afker that I had reported about ten times previously in games I’d had with him before. At this point I recognized his lazy @ss pretty quickly… I killed him about five times before he suddenly started moving, ran away from me, and then left he game. I seriously debated just standing around for the rest of the game to see if I’d be automatically given the win, but got bored and left—standing there for twenty more minutes seemed silly. Felt good to repeatedly kill the guy, though, I wish he would have stayed afk.
My husband had the same issue—though I got one, which is account bound, so I can’t even give it to him, we each opened 50 of them and he got burned pretty bad, he didn’t even get a pet out of them, I at least got a weapon skin and a couple of knight pets.
I have to say, 4000 gems for some candy is a bit weak. Something like that should be guaranteed if you’re spending 25$ for 25 chests—this is real world money we’re spending. This will be the last time my husband or I spend any money in game, honestly this is ridiculous.
Also, it’s pretty lame that you guys hot fixed the hologram things as soon as it seemed like those were being farmed, but yeah, you’ll get to the sPvP achievements not counting towards the meta sometime early next week. It’s lame. And can we do something, ANYTHING, about the botting?
Oh, and we’ve both opened plenty of the lesser chests (probably a thousand or so between the two of us), I’ve gotten one pet, my husband got a pet or two; we got a bunch of candies, the occasional food, and fireworks—the lamest item because you can’t even sell them. No wings, no tickets. My husband DID get a wing skin from a regular chest (the little wooden ones that always have yellows and are not holiday). Why would that drop from a regular chest, but complete and utter crud drops out of the holiday ones? It’s almost insulting.

I think this isn’t a bad idea. Collecting money and stacks of items is hard, but it’s not rewarding. Though this would probably make it harder, I think it would also make things more worth the effort.
this would be awesome.
..if I liked any of the armor sets in this game as much as I enjoyed GW1 armors.
Someone doesn’t know how to make their toons look pretty… This game has opened up a whole new world in toon craft for my husband and myself. We joke that they are works of art more than video game characters. So yeah, this 3-d printer idea is pretty neat!
Hey, you guys probably think I’m demanding, but I had another idea: sometimes the girl toons hair doesn’t sit right and either gets lost in the gear or just looks wrong, that could probably use some tweaking when you get the time. I know it’s not high priority, and I really appreciate you guys making a suggestions forum and reading/using it. Thank you.
Countdown timers on the spells would be nice. More slots for different currencies in the bank, including pvp badges and dungeon tokens, as well as more than being limited to stacks of 250 for just about everything stored in the bank would be awesome as well.
Oh, and a distinction between male and female Charr gear. They don’t need a huge rack (honestly that wouldn’t make sense, anyhow), but at least some form of feminization with the gear, some kind of major distinction (I get that they have tail fur, but the gear is exactly the same). Most female Charrs are lack-luster, at best.

I think this is at the bottom of the priority list at the moment.
Bottom of the priority list, or not, the whole point of this forum is for people throw ideas out there. If it’s good they’ll do it, if not, they’ll ignore it. What exactly does your saying this help either way? Why be so negative when someone is trying to make a suggestion?
The holdout thing is all my husband’s idea, I can’t take credit there, but it is a really good idea.
The bag thing is kind of weird. Like say you have two sets of weapons on an elementalist. When you switch back and forth (this is my husband, playing, he’s more technical than I, I’m too lazy for this), your weapons end up dropping back into the first available slot instead of a safe bag. If you could somehow right-click on an object and indicate that it belongs in a certain bag, it would be less annoying. I dunno, some things are too much to ask for, but it never hurts to throw some ideas out there.
I see your point on weapons, but some are ridiculous looking, like the Christmas stuff, the colors are awful but the pieces look okay. A little more personalization would be nice. As for multiple sets of gear, why not? Or why not keep your stats but have your gear look like a swim suit when swimming. The game already has a breather mask that goes on automatically, why not have a swimsuit look to the gear, too?
Another one would be to change the search feature of the auction house so that one can choose heavy/medium/light armor, as well, in the filter. Also, the mini pets could stand a bit closer to their owners. Sometimes it seems like they’re about twenty feet away when you summon them.

Hey, my husband and I were brain storming and thinking of stuff we’d be interested in seeing for the game:
When you send mail, it should also open your inventory. The pop up telling you the mail has been sent is annoying and pointless. It would make sense if it was a check to make sure you wanted to send the mail, but letting you know it was sent and requiring you to click it away is an added annoyance. You should also be able to lock certain items in your bags to certain slots. When you switch weapons/gear your items don’t automatically fall back into the safe bag, so it gets cumbersome. Add the option, when you right-click on an item, to lock it to a given bag or even slot in a bag.
Weapons, underwear, backs, and face masks should be able to dyed. You could also make underwear like a swim suit, that you could chose to use when you go underwater, like town gear, not necessarily a new set, but a look that your gear could take on under water. Or give people access to the swim suits like the ones on the Southsun Island.
Temples should have NPCs like in pvp—pseudo-commanders that bring people together to help take the temples if enough people haven’t opened them after a certain period of time, or they should open on their own. Few players attempt to open temples anymore, it’s frustrating.
We were also thinking it would be cool to add an element, similar to horde mode, where you and some other players control a point—like a tower—and you get over run by waves of mobs, until success or failure. You could consider placing it in a keep and adding stages, so that you are fighting in stages, and utilizing siege better. There could be different kinds of mobs that attack, requiring some strategy in play. This is probably already in the game in dungeons, but this could be open, like pvp, where you can just join.
Another issue on this topic would be to consider adding lfg/a party-making system for dungeons (you queue up for it, and the system pulls in reasonable groups) so that people can group up with other random players for dungeons or put themselves in queue, instead of spamming /map and hoping they get lucky. This could also pull cross-server so that more people are pooled together.
On a personal note, I love three-toed sloths, and I never see them in games. I would dig either a sloth mini, sloth hunter pets, sloth mobs out in the world (and on this note, you guys could consider adding new mobs from time to time to keep things fresh—or a new class of rare mobs or something, because sometimes the variety of kills is lacking), or even a sloth back pack (you could animate that a bit, too, it could hug onto the back and look over the toon’s shoulder—how cute would that be?).
Another cool mini would be a luck dragon. Maybe for Chinese New Years next year?
Thank you so much for this awesome game and your time in considering some of this.

Okay, then I look forward to them fixing it soon.
Weird, I noticed that, too. I dunno, not sure what to do now except retry the port thing.
Absolutely none. In fact, my husband was about as skeptical as you, figuring this was just some blowhard’s advice, but he gave it a shot and things worked out. Ours also seemed to coincide with a huge patch, but so did our ISP’s doubling of our speed (sorta, the lag was pre-speed up by about a week, if memory serves), which required a modem/router restart… so, could have been that, something on Comcast’s end, or something with the patch, or an act of God, lol. It is fixed now, and I hope this works for you, too!
That’s got it! Thank you so very much! The game is running so much better. Thank you, again.
For the past few weeks my husband and I have experienced severe lag with this game. This lag affects game play, combat, and even moving objects around in our bags. It can be as much as 30 seconds between attempting an action and it actually happening in game, often in one short burst of all actions and sounds attempted during the spike. The lag is most noticeable because we are playing together, so we can see not only how it affects our own characters, but also what is happening to the other.
Our computers are in decent enough shape with sub-scores above 7.3 (out of a 1.0 to 7.9 scale) on all things except our hard drives (according to Windows Experience Index). We have recently upgraded our internet—our ISP doubled our speed. We have tried various traditional methods for speeding up an MMO: restarting the game, the computers, the router, and the modem—all in vain. After looking at the posts on here, and trying everything we can think of, we are now concerned that the issue is on Guild Wars’ end.
We hope that this issue can be resolved soon—and if there are any reasonable suggestions for ways we can help alleviate this on our end, please let us know.
The game is well-designed and beautiful, and we both want to continue to play it, but we are finding that due to lag, we cannot. The game is barely playable for us in PvE, and it is unbearable in PvP—which is the game’s bread and butter. Until this is resolved we are looking for other places to invest our time and money.
