I usually don’t get motion sick in games, but do get motion sick in the back seat of cars. I only have gotten motion sick in one game via movement (and not jumping off of stuff which, obviously, will make my stomach flop) and that was one where you hovered on wings up and down. Seriously made me ill.
I tried out the raptor and I got the same kind of queasy feeling. I think its because its so slow to turn and takes a bit to get going, rocking from side to side and its not smooth like the actual character running. That delay and feeling of so much “weight” is what is making me ill, I believe. Just putting my two cents in.
I am going to say that I am a “filthy casual” first off, and I say that tongue in cheek and laughing about it. I do not play for a long period of time very often. When I do play, I do what I want to do and I have fun doing it. This said……I did not complete the story in HoT zones, because it was not fun for me. It was confusing. It was very hard, when HoT first came out and all of a sudden there were “harder” mobs and cries of “Get gud!!” from all the people who caught on quickly to mechanics. The up and down of the jungle was enough to seriously make me motion sick. I HAVE done the Living World Season 3 Story, so its not like I just don’t like doing story. It’s my FAVORITE. I just really cannot stand the HoT maps.
My husband played this game religiously until HoT came out. He absolutely HATED the up and down stuff and all the levels in the maps. He spent about a couple of hours in the jungle and said “…..**** this.” He has not been back since except for once during the Halloween fest, and even then, after an hour, he said “I don’t want to play too long and get excited, then know I have to go back to that stupid expansion for my masteries.”
He is VERY good at MMO’s, has been playing them for around 20 years now, and he is not one that just gives up easily. And yet two hours in HoT maps ruined this game for him. It was just TOO different, TOO quickly. I think if they had released an expansion that had a happy medium between Core Tyria, and HoT first, to get people used to the idea, then it would not have left such a bad taste in a LOT of people’s mouths.
Yes, if you play the personal story, you will definitely know. My point was, they didn’t play the personal story, and they still knew. How? Probably from playing the other bits of story available at level 80. Not level 1.
To be fair, I’ve never gone past the level 30-something quest where you pick your choice of joining Red Valor, Blue Mystic or Yellow Instinct. Beyond choosing Yellow Instinct, so I could have access to some hidden spoopies here and there around the maps, I really didn’t bother with the quests. At all.
Still managed to figure out what was going on. Context is king, exposition dump is dumpy.
… Now that I look at the team names, I’m either avoiding spoilers, or I’m jumbling up my games. Pretty sure I’m on-point, though.
Did you play any of the living world season stories? If so, you probably knew why you were the commander. Did you play Heart of Thorns? If so, more clues about being the commander. My point is, you didn’t start off at level 1 in a HoT map. And you more than likely won’t start off at level 1 in a PoF map, either. It wouldn’t make sense for those who DO play the story.
I don’t think they will be level 1 zones. I think they mean stand alone, as in, you don’t have to have HoT to play it. But they will still be level 80 zones. It makes no sense for them to be level one zones. You have to go through the rest of the story first to know what is happening and who your character is and why they are called “Commander.”
I haven’t finished yet, but, I have to say, I am not impressed so far. That bloodstone prison puzzles were just beyond frustrating and ridiculous. I got so frustrated with it I almost quit the episode and didn’t go back to it, but I got help from a friend instead who had somehow stumbled onto the “correct” way of doing it.
For those that say that the puzzle was easy: Good for you. You have a mind for puzzles. That is great. -I- do not. A little help would be appreciated for those like me who cannot figure it out, or just have tried so many times we don’t want to do it anymore. Like the override on the machine puzzle that got you into the Dragon Lab? That was perfect. Just something like that so we have a way out if we are “boxed in.”
I am a human so it makes sense for me to swear to the Shining Blade, especially if you picked the storyline with the two exemplars in it for your personal story! You already know these guys, they are solid and helped you, so why not help them? For other races, it would definitely be a WTF?? Moment. I wouldn’t swear to one of the Asuran factions, as a human, or at least, I would not choose to, if it were up to me, unless I knew them and had worked with them before extensively. A non-human swearing a potentially lethal oath just to find out “Yeah, this is what I’m doing….” and it’s the OBVIOUS conclusion if the character wasn’t going with option A? Why bother with that?
I like the new exemplar we work with. I especially liked that she sang and opened the door sloooooowly while we killed people. THAT was funny. Most of the jokes that are “written” into the storyline are not funny in the slightest. This woman, and Canach, have their moments. A certain moment with a certain painting comes to mind, for Canach’s funniest bit ever.
Are all these things that we are learning in the living story via masteries going to actually be useful later on in other maps? Because if not, I can save my mastery points and just level up other things with them like my gliding or something else.
Overall I am not entirely thrilled with this story so far. I just got to Orr so, it may get better. I would like to see more Logan, find out what is happening with Rytlock, and Zojja, if possible. I have to admit, I used to hate Logan. He was my favorite to make fun of. Episode number 5 humanized him for me. I actually feel badly for him, being ridiculed after what happened. That can’t be easy to take, and THAT was a bit of writing I can appreciate. Yes, it’s a retcon, I know, before anyone argues with me. But it was nicely done in a way that touched me, personally.

They had the Queen’s Jubilee for a while. I wish they would bring that back. It was a fun festival. Dragonbash was fun as well. I forget when that was though. I agree, they need to come up with a good summer festival and let it run for a while, to give us someething to do when we do NOT have Living Story 3.
I don’t know why people are bringing RL and RL marriage into this. It’s a game. Not everyone who would want this feature needs to “Get ourselves lives.” I’ve been married for 14 years and with my husband for 21, and I would LOVE an in-game marriage system for my characters that was fleshed out. Going on quests together, doing the stuff to get the rings, that would be amazing! I would totally marry my hubby in-game, if he still played. AND I would marry my best friend’s characters, because why not It’s not real.
You could certainly decide it was a real commitment, between the two of you, if you so choose. I know people who “get married” online in games and such, with their friends before they can legally get visas and do it in RL. So something for everyone here! With or without the buffs that should (imho) go with it.
There are not multiple fallacies there, or at least not blatant ones. I never said that HoT changed whether we needed ascended or not for fractals. Fractals were introduced at the same time that ascended armor was introduced. And yes, for high level fractals you NEED ascended gear with AR. Yes, there is tier 1 that you can do, but most people do higher level fractals for achievements and rewards. When they are not running fractals for dailies, a lot of the people in my guilds do upper level ones.
As for story, no, I haven’t finished it. I have time constraints in RL that don’t let me play as often as I’d like. I still have no idea what is going on and why it is happening, and I do not skip cutscenes, so, there’s something somewhere that I have missed.
EDIT: Yes, they are gating content, because if I could play in those higher level fractals without AR then I wouldn’t need Ascended Gear, would I? The fractals might be the same story, but the fact that you NEED a certain set of armor to play in these upper level fractals and it is not reliant on skill is worrying. What will they gate behind armor next, like I said before?
And if they are dead they should WP…….this is the kind of attitude I am talking about! This attitude never used to be around, and now its “You’re dead, WP.” Some people won’t even help downed players anymore, they let them die and tell them to WP. I am not saying rez them when it’s dangerous, but when you are able to, and you need people to help finish, making them run back from a WP is time consuming.
BUT to get the thread back on track, YES, I think that GW2 has definitely lost its identity over time. For multiple reasons. It’s still fun, but it’s definitely NOT the same game I bought when it was released, many, many moons ago.

I am not sure. I had heard that Legendary would have better stats than ascended armor, probably on these forums somewhere. If this is wrong, then I apologize, and disregard that part of my post. The rest still stands, though. Story gating sucks, gating content behind hard to get gear sucks.
The community is more toxic now too. Someone in our group at Vinewrath told a new person asking for guidance “Google is your friend!” as if they were supposed to suddenly open google in the middle of the champion fight. A quick “Stand on the flowers when X happens” or whatever it was would have gone a long way. I would’ve told the new person but I couldn’t remember when to do it, it had been so long since I had done Vinewrath. NO ONE knew what to do, except a couple of people, and Vinewrath failed because they wouldn’t tell the rest what to do. When I said that we might have had a chance had someone rezzed the first few people that went down, so they could rez others, the response was “We can’t rez. Just stand where you’re supposed to.” Uhh…rezzing is pretty necessary at almost all world bosses, to complete it. Claw of Jormag, I’m looking at you. Most of what I do at world bosses is actually just running around rezzing people, unless I am down myself. There is just a very unhelpful and “every man for themselves!” vibe with some of the events sometimes and it didn’t used to be that way.
PVE is cooperative! No one is stealing anything from you if you help them back up!
EDIT: It isn’t better stats. But, you can change your stat combos, so this is what would make it more appealing to people! Sorry for the confusion! I knew that I had heard it would be “better” somehow.

For me, GW2 HAS lost it’s identity. This used to be a game to play when you wanted to, and put down when you wanted to, with no real consequences to your characters. If you wanted to take a month off, you could still go back and do all the stuff that you missed later. You didn’t need a certain gear. You didn’t need a certain weapon. If other people played longer, they’d just have more gold to play with.
NOW, you NEED ascended to do fractals. You cannot do upper level fractals without agony resistance, and that goes in ascended gear. In order to get ascended gear, you have to have a maxed out crafting on one or more category. You also need a ton of materials to make this gear, and some of the things you are crafting is time-gated to one a day, which will take a while, or is expensive to buy. Now there will be Legendary armor coming out, with better stats than ascended.
That doesn’t sound like the start of a gear treadmill to anyone else? Because it does to me. What happens when we’ve had Legendary out for a while and they require it somehow for some other game mode? And then once “everyone” has that, will they put something else out, that’s got more stats than Legendary armor, so the players have something else to reach for? I’m thinking they will. It hasn’t started with weapons yet, but it is a matter of time.
I am not saying that we shouldn’t have anything to work for ever, or that there shouldn’t be more challenging content! Far from it! When they first revamped Teq, it was simply to increase hitpoints so it was almost unkillable and then dusted off their hands like “Our job here is done!!” Teq is one of the most popular world bosses there is, along with Karka Queen. Player dissatisfaction was LOUD and CLEAR that just upping the hitpoints was not the way to go. The new Shatterer design is a lot better, and more in line with the “improvements” that should be made. Before the revamp, we stood on a hill in a group and just fired stuff at it. That was all.
HoT was a dramatic increase in skill needed. I still haven’t completed it all, because you need masteries and you have to kill things for masteries. Story is gated behind these masteries and if you don’t have them, you can’t do the story! I HATE STORY GATING!! I hate it with a passion! Story is what I enjoy most about this game, and they gated story behind not only masteries, but they did the lead-in to Living Story Season 3 behind raids! How many people knew what was going on in the story, without looking at you-tube? Be honest with yourselves. The majority of players did not know, because the lead-in story was gated behind raiding, which the majority of players do not do!
I am not saying to not have raids. I am not saying to not have challenging content. I am saying that this started as a more casual and relaxed atmosphere, and now it is turning into a grindfest, either for masteries, or for gear. Leveling is easy, thank goodness. The real grind begins at level 80 for most people!
TLDR: Yeah, GW2 has definitely lost it’s vision.
I have not played GW2 much since HoT. I didn’t even finish the story part of HoT, and that is my FAVE thing about playing, seeing the story. I hate the multi-level maps. I hate jungles in general, no matter what game I am playing. (Diablo 2? HATED the third act!) I do like the gliding, I just wish they would realize that some of us are older, have disabilities, and not a lot of time on our hands. So spending a long time perfecting how to get from A to B, or when they make “Challenging New Content!” and then its’ almost impossible to solo anything anymore, it is disheartening.
Plus now storyline is hidden behind raids, which you need specific gear and a high skill level before groups will let you join, unless you are lucky enough to find a training group. A lot of people do not know what was going on in the story for a time, because they didn’t do raids. Sure, you can look up videos on youtube, but you shouldn’t HAVE to, to know what is going on in the game.
Don’t you just buy the book to start the collection that you want to do from Hobbs? It’s been a while since I worked on my legendaries but I remember buying the book for the collection. He doesn’t just “give” you anything, that I can remember.
Totally thinking about Pokemon
However I would like some more ranger pets. I would like maybe……a quaggan. Or a Skritt. Or…..lol I am just out to enslave ALL the creatures of Tyria. I admit it. However….new ranger pets WOULD be nice.
OMG this. I want fishing SO HARD. It is my absolute favorite thing to do in MMO’s and any game I can fish in. Animal Crossing? Fish Fish Fish Fish. We even played Mabinogi for a while because they had fishing. My hubby loves fishing in games and usually partakes in fishing tournys and stuff like that, even if it’s just for notoriety and having your name flashed across the screen like “XXXX got 3rd place in the fishing tourney!” SO much fun, would LOVE to see it in this game!!
They could’ve done both. We could’ve had a big Wake for Trahearne with his quotes and stuff being read off at times, and drinking and feasting and celebrating the dragon being dead and Trahearne’s “sacrifice”……or just the fact that he’s gone, depending on how you felt about him
I would prefer somthing like Lorner’s Pass. I don’t like the different elevations, myself. My husband won’t even play HoT because he doesn’t like the jumping and gliding and all that stuff to get everywhere and he -hates- the jungle anyway so it was like two strikes against it.
Not going to argue about whether or not opinions are right or wrong. This is stupid. What matter is ANET wakes up and gets better security. It’s a shame this had to happen for it to come to light how lax their security is.
Uhhh……my opinion can’t be “wrong.” It’s an opinion I could say your opinion is wrong, just the same way, if opinions could be wrong. But they can’t.
Probably due to their big security breach, they don’t want to make anyone else mad Got enough people going on about how horrible they are, don’t want to alienate anyone else more than likely.
This having been said, gold selling is a big problem. I get spammed all the time and block and report and then they come back and do it again on a different account.
I wouldn’t say that the hacker is “bad” or that the CS person is “bad” either. According to the social engineer hacker on Redditt, it only took ONE time of trying, all the information was fake that he gave, and it was a GM’s account to boot. Not “He kept trying till one of our CS agents wasn’t so strict.” He tried ONE time, and got in. On a GM’s account. Not the multiple times that Anet is claiming it took. He had the ticket up and everything before the mods told him to take it down. If -I- were ANET I would want people to think it took multiple times too, to save face, but, according to the person who did this, who has absolutely nothing to lose by telling the truth, it only took one time.
The CS agent doesn’t need to be fired over this. He/she needs to be trained a bit more, along with all the rest of the CS agents, and ANET needs to pay attention when people tell them “yeah…you might wanna pay attention to this security break you have.”
The giving away of the frogs is not a big deal, she’s a GM and if someone had the code to make those frogs in the first place, they can make them again. She lost very little of value apart from the frogs, which, as I said, someone can just make for her again. There have been people offering to reimburse her the things she lost, which is very kind of them, and if I had anything of value in GW1 I would do the same. Gaile was basically just a high-profile name that would attract attention and that’s why her account was the one that got “hacked.”
Dronikal: Then they would just have someone put a cheap item on the TP for an exorbitant sum that no one else would pay, and they would transfer the gold that way. It wouldn’t stop anything, making gold unsendable, and it would hurt a lot of players who send gold to their friend and things like that.
I agree that it is a little stupid to have failed events lead to better loot. But it’s equally as stupid to not listen to others in chat, especially people who are repeatedly telling you to let the event fail, so that everyone can get champs or the like. There is a crowd of people there for the event, telling that ONE or TWO people to stop, take a step back, and there is a lot more fun to be had. And then those ONE or TWO go and ruin the event for the crowd.
Sounds amazing, doesn’kitten I swear every time someone tries to kill the toxifiers in the Toxic Alchemist when I’m leveling alts I am like “No, don’t do that, if you let them go then a lot of champion frogs will come out, versus the cruddy skales that you have now.” Aaaand they never listen.
I wish they would just make the champs spawn with the regular event. Not just this one, but, all the other ones where failing is more rewarding, because half the time you get people that ignore you and then just do what they want, in spite of the crowd of people there going “NOOOOOOOOO!!!”
Uh…what does public nudity have to do with wearing swim suits? Swim suits are clothes, last time I checked. Galtrix you’re not even making sense any more with your “moral” argument, here. Our country’s morals say we have to wear clothes, of which swimsuits are one of the choices. Your point in bringing up public nudity was??
So many things I disagree with in this thread
“I have morals so I don’t want to see people in bathing suits.” Uh…what’s wrong with people in bathing suits? Everything is covered. Do your “morals” keep you from going to beaches in the summer, or swim parks, and wearing swim wear yourself? It’s not like the minute someone puts on swimwear they are somehow “bad” people that “offend your morals.”
“This video is how girls feel about armor.” News flash, honey. -I’m- a girl and the first thing I do when I load Skyrim is get that mod to make ALL the armor less covering for females. I want something pretty, not something that feels like I’m tuna crammed into a tin can. This is a GAME. If your character wears a chainmail bra you have just as much chance to stay alive as someone wearing a full suit of armor that covers their entire body. This game is called “Fashion Wars” for a reason. As in, most of what people do is get outfits, dress up, and try to look good.
Let people dress their characters how they like. It’s not hurting anyone if they dress them in slightly less clothing than something you would put on your character. There are a LOT of clothes that cover the entire body in this game, but not a lot of clothes for the people who like to wear less on their characters unless you’re a light armor female.
Swimsuits will be a welcome addition to Fashion Wars, I think. I wish other people would try to stop putting their “morals” and “how women feel about armor” on everyone as if they speak for everyone in the entire world. Swimsuits are fine, they are no less immersion breaking, as someone said, than a giant cat with Macaw wings and purple hair in rainbow colored armor.
Oh and for the person who says this is “not an RP’ing game,” it totally is. There are lots of Rp’ers on here, they hang out in the hot springs and take off their armor, I know because I’ve been in RP guilds before. So, yes, this IS an RP game. Sorry

My female human, norn, charr, and asura would like to introduce you to a new point of view, Malediktus
Edit: My post went through twice! Sorry!
I have 8 characters, and only one of these is a human female, actually! It is true, the female humans tend to have the best outfits given to them, but I’ve got a Norn female, three male humans, a male and female Asura, and a female Charr. Next time I get a character slot I’m getting a female Sylvari.
Every race is beautiful if you get makeover kits and put a little effort into tweaking them. I tend to like making my characters look pretty and attractive and fashionable. LOL I play to farm gold to buy stuff off the gem store to further the Fashion Wars! If you only play human females it gets a little boring, especially if you ARE a human female, yourself.
The Gem Store is quite available to all players, with spending 0 real money. You sell materials, armor, weapons, and anything else you don’t need on the Trading Post, get gold for doing quests, and stuff like that. I’ve bought two outfits, mini’s, and makeover kits with gold to gems. It doesn’t take all that long to save up for it. That said, I did spend some of my christmas monies on the gem store, to help support ArenaNet to help keep the gold to gems thing going, because if no one bought gems, I’m sure that would go away fast.
I don’t do my story past level 30 until I hit level 80 because I want to see the story in one big chunk. That and most of the time I’m just using Tomes of Knowledge to level up and it goes pretty fast. I save those up from the log ins and get them from the little scrolls of experience (20 make one Tome, at the Mystic Forge Vendor) and its no problem. You don’t HAVE to do the story at all, you can turn it off and ignore it and never do it ever again if you want. I LOVE doing stories and I’m currently doing LS2 with my hubby
Leveling up is easiest if you try to go for map completion. Get every point of interest, waypoint, anything you can find. Do the events as they come up, usually you’ll get gold if you half-butt it anyway, and that will give you more experience. It doesn’t take all that long to get to level 80, I have two of them right now, getting ready to have a third one, and I have 8 charries.
Merry Christmas to everyone!!
My mother gave me some money for Christmas this year so I got myself some gems and got three outfits I had been oogling for months, and a make-over kit! I am addicted to fashion and making my characters look pretty and my husband and I play this game almost every day so this was one of the best gifts ever!!
Gratz on your 15 years with GW1 & GW2 Gaile! I always see such nice, informative posts from you and I really appreciate you taking time to talk to us from time to time!
I agree with you, AION and GW2 and TERA are the only MMO’s that I play from time to time. I spend most of my time on GW2 though, when I do play. These are great games from great companies and its nice to see someone with such a good attitude on the forums
EDIT: And you never know where you’ll meet someone special! I was in a chat room in college, back in ‘96 when they were JUST starting to come out, and met my husband there! We’ve been together for 19 years now, married for 12. Don’t let ANYONE say a relationship that starts on the computer won’t ever go anywhere! He moved over here from England so we can get married

I dunno, I was an Editor of a magazine once, in HS, and have worked on a few underground magazines in my time, all for lulz, not pay. I can see where Vayne is coming from. But I guess it doesn’t matter, it’s really not worth arguing about, I think.
What matters is this horrible timer that lets you do an event and not get credit for it. They need to change this, immediately. Doing events and not getting credit for them at the last minute is really sucky. I hope whoever is in charge of this will read this thread (or have the issue handed off to them somehow) and make the necessary changes.
I like the “only get credit for one event at a time” suggestion! This would solve a lot of problems. Really you should only be doing one event at a time anyway, right?
I’ve been doing VB for the past few days and I haven’t seen any mobs not give XP? Sure you don’t get loot with every kill, but even in the core game, I never did? Did anyone else get loot every time they killed something? I’ve usually got all 18 slot bags apart from the backpack you get, and my stuff is always full. So I haven’t seen yet what people are talking about. If there’s 10% of the mobs that don’t give XP, that’s still 90% that do, and I suggest you focus on those if this bothers you so much? Just my opinion and experiences in VB so far.
Might want to do (spoilers inside) for people who haven’t completed the story yet Otherwise, I -enjoyed- the story so far, yes, even with Eir’s demise. I shed my little girly tears and felt gutted but that’s what made it GOOD for me. The story reached out and touched me. I don’t think they should bring her back, at all.
And I am one of the ones who hate Trahearne. LOL he did -nothing- at Claw Island but stand on one of the ramparts and look important, and Seiran gave her all! Then he goes on to do nothing but hold me up and ask for my input, every time something happens. -I- should’ve been leader and that sword should’ve been mine
I prefer for things to be trade-able, myself. I really wanted that mini moa with the jackolantern on its head and I didn’t get it, despite doing NOTHING BUT Halloween content for the time it was here. My husband was lucky with the drops, and got one, and two nightwings, and a few other things. He shouldn’t be allowed to give it to me, even though I was there, did everything he did, and just wasn’t lucky? That makes no sense. (BTW he is selling it, because of exorbitant prices on the TP, but, my point stands.)
One WORD ruined the game for you? Isn’t that a little….dramatic? I’m not saying errors are ok or anything, they should do their best to correct them when they see them, but really? One WORD ruined the game? looks confused
I keep getting a network error when I try to load maps. I connect to the character select screen just fine, select my character and try to load in. Then it just keeps loading and loading and then it disconnects me with a network error. EVERY other website and game works, so it is not on my end. Our internet is up and running just fine. Anyone else having this issue?

I ran a repair too and got into Verdant Brink, but my personal story just kept loading and loading and loading. This is ridiculous.
Zojja is always running off at the mouth and has a horrible temper. That’s her flaw. Eir is always trying to play peacemaker and wants everyone to get along all the time and can’t grasp that sometimes, people are just -mad- and need to work through it.
Up with the Trahearne hate!!
Really he’s horrible. He’s a firstborn that spent HOW LONG studying Orr and couldn’t do anything useful when we got there? -I- did everything!! So much for leading the pact!! You know why everyone answers to ME in the new story?? Because Trahearne sucks and no one wants to listen to him anyway
LOL I kind of want to make a Sylvari making fun of Trahearne now like I did with Thackeray LOL my next project!!
Urosh: You probably have, I do World Bosses and stuff with Slackeray sometimes. I have a ranger I like better though and just got her to 80 so will probably play him less until I go to the HoT maps after Halloween is over.
And yes, all the members of DE have character flaws. Which is refreshing. None of them are perfect and uber and the best. LOL they could never have killed that dragon without ME, let me tell you You wanna know who I really hate??
Trahearne. Useless mofo, always tagging behind in my story and making me wait, then stands there on top of the high point in Claw Island and does NOTHING the whole battle. That sword should be MINE.
I don’t think he’s saying he wants the SAME as a 200 person guild. What we’re saying is that for smaller guilds, which, yes, ARE guilds, even though your elitist attitude that you’re projecting can’t see it, there should be SMALLER guild halls that cost less. What’s wrong with having that? That’s what we’re saying.
I want to address people saying that two people aren’t a guild. They are a guild, if they put in the effort to have guild things before, and work for it, and now it’s taken away. I’m part of a larger guild that has a guild hall and wants us to upgrade and is constantly in guild chat harping about “what we need now.”
I’m also part of a smaller two person guild, which might get a few more members when my cousin and her husband get HoT eventually. Who are ANY of you to tell us that we’re not a guild? 2 people guilds are guilds just like 400 people guilds are guilds. We had guild bank and other things before this change over, I haven’t looked to see if we still have it but, if not, we’re kind of screwed, because we can never get a guild hall or afford the upkeep on a guild hall.
There should be smaller guild halls for smaller guilds. It’s not like we’re asking for a whole city to ourselves. Just a small place to go that we can afford, and update, like we were doing.
LOL I have a Guardian I made that looks as much like Logan as possible, with a mini Logan Thackeray at his side. His name?
Sir Logan Slackeray.
Every time we do the Zhaitan fight, my husband types in “We will let you live if you take Thackeray!” Even Zhaitan doesn’t want him. That’s saying something.
I think 250 is more reasonable than 400. You want to earn the spec, yes, but you don’t want to spend the entire HoT map not playing your spec! I want to have fun earning my HP and then unlocking the specs and I have -8- characters so if it was 400 points for each……that’s a lot of points
I think the Wild Bull is in Queensdale, near the Moa Ranch? Every once in a while it goes crazy and there is an event that goes with it. But I definitely think it is there between the orchard and the moa ranch in Queensdale
100% rep kind of sucks. I have no problem with repping my main guild to talk to the members and do the stuff with them. But when I’m playing with my friend, I want to rep OUR guild that we have together. It’s just a guild for our family and friends and its only got two members right now until my family members buy the expansion but its OURS and I want to rep it occasionally. There shouldn’t be a problem with that. MAKING people rep you just to do it so you have control over them will eventually drive them away.
Let the girlfriend pick what race and profession she wants to play on her own. Let her try a few out. Characters are easily made and deleted if she doesn’t like the style of play or the look of the character after she makes it. Cuteness will come from the mini’s, I have Zuzu kitten of darkness and Chauncey the dapper cat with his monocle and bowler hat.
The fun will be finding fashion choices. I would recommend Human, Norn, or Sylvari females if she’s into fashion, because those are the ones with the best clothes. Asuran females don’t have good clothes, in my opinion. They’re cute, but their clothes aren’t. Charrs don’t have good clothes either but I like playing my charr anyway
