Do you have a router between your modem and your pc? I used to have the same problem, but it dissapeared when I replaced the router with a switch.

IT’s a lenovo rev 01. Not sure whether or not it’s relatively new. I do know though that it immediately returned when windows had another update, removing, restarting, reslotting fixed the problem again and haven;t had issues since. So seems like the pci slot reverts to 1 with (every?) new win8.1 update….

It’s fixable, but I’m not really happy about it.

Problem fixed. REmoving the card (blowing some dust out of it in the process ;-) ), rebooting the pc without the card, then shutting it down and adding the card again fixed the problem.

I also did download MSI afterburner (because: why not) but I didn’t see the header or any of the options at AMD compatibility properties. Will look into that, because core clock speeds are not at 1075+ (not at 350 either though, so it’s not a big problem I guess).

I’m wondering if someone could help me with the following problem.

Step 1: the problem
Since about 3-4 days (latest update to win 8.1) I’m having very low fps. For example at vigil keep I get 8 -10 fps, Caledon forest gives 10-15. Previously I had at least 20-25 fps at LA. Having run GPU-Z the problem became apparent quite quickly: GPU Load = 100% all the time while in game.

Step 2: clean reinstall of drivers
I’m aware of the problems with AMD drivers and continuous updates so I removed all drivers with amd-cleanup then installed the latest drivers. This did not alleviate the problem.

Step 3: remove local .dat
Then I deleted my local.dat file. This actually gave a normal fps (and GPU Load at about 50%) so I was quite happy. Until I rezoned and the problem returned. Deleting the local.dat again did not do anything, I kept low fps and a gpu load of 100% .

Step 4: run with -repair/complete redownload
I then ran gw2 with the -repair command, which didn’t do anything (report also said there where no faulty files). Just to top it off I completely redownloaded gw2. This gave my wife the opportunity to play gw2 on normal fps during the day, but the problem has returned again.

So now I turn to the last pool of knowledge left to me: the gw2 forums. Really hoping there’s some smart guy or gal who can help me. I just can’t figure out what triggers the 100% GPU usage (and drop of fps) and why every now and then it just disappears then goes up again….
Downloading Empire total war atm to check whether it’s a gw2 problem or something with the graphics card

I’ve seen similar results, but I didn’t track them to see if there’s a pattern. Some days/times seem to yield well, others are horrendous.

We still have invasions every now and then. Haven’t played it so I’m not sure if they still reward scraps though.

Bind AOE loot to shift+f (or any other combination I guess) and you can use it while waiting for your finisher to finish.

Map completion. You get either a stone, a crystal or a bl key. The crystals also used to be relatively common in the bl chests. Haven’t gotten one since they made the change that added the bags of coins to the chests.

I got 5 about a week ago from a BL chest. They still drop.
