Did they remove mai trins cannon phase all together?
I like Wildstar im like level 35 or something I have one of those pvp weapons for my warrior it looks amazing but I don’t like that it has the same graphics style as wow
There is nothing in p2 that requires more than one person goku already has a video on his channel of him doing it, although it was before the downscaling nerfs and so on
-Why is pushing the core gw2 purchasers away and placing them as 2nd tier citizens considered healthy for the game?
-Why did a developer admit a while ago about the changes to dungeons that it was to purposefully give people no reason to ever do dungeons again and why did this change go through when some people only play the game for this content?
-Why was this reward ‘balancing’ just a flat out percent nerf across the board, something that must have took very little effort?
-Why does arah p4 give 1g?
-Why has so little time went into developing instanced content since launch?
-Why is chestfarming and openworld brainless zerging the best way of making money besides market manipulation?
-Why is removing existing content, rehashing it and bundling it with the expansion even allowed?
-Why is there no new fractals?
-Why are those gold skins so ugly and why didn’t we get new skins entirely instead of recolours?
-Why is the documentation of the changes to fractals so bad?

1g for an arah path and theres still spineless whiteknights defending this I can’t even
It has been this way for a very long time i’m not sure what the big deal is, I do think sinister engi needs to be nerfed as it is way too easy to play. I think elixir u traited is probably the best utility skill in the game; Quickness, 15 seconds wall, 2 condi cleanses, stunbreak, 7 long stacks of might and you can already maintain 25 stacks of might really easily on engi.
Thief has always been a useless class though engineer has always been able to do everything that a thief can do, can path mobs just as efficient kitten with toss elixir u. Maybe in a year or so people will realize how bad aegis is and realize guardian isn’t that great either outside of really terrible groups, but hey this is gw2 le metabattle tells me how to play the game and I obey.
Edit: im curious now what you think thief has ever been able to offer a group, outside of shadow refuge for pathing mobs on a really long duration which is completely unnecessary. Black powder is really terrible because no where in the game actually needs that much on demand stealth, most skips can be done within one blast, maybe if invigorating precision was toned down and made into a group but it would be really good but necro already does that and it’s still terrible too. If your a barbie endgamer that’s farming your daily dungeons everyday maybe thief matters to you because it’s safe, efficient, less room for error and maybe that’s why people still play guardian, but as a person that has played both of these classes I can say I feel like i’m just useless on them and they don’t offer as much as the other options available.

They never even reworked the underwater weapons and gave them a skillset that could be used on land so now we have a bunch of useless content that just clutters the game, dont worry tho HoT will be completely different cries
@lian oslamamma Yes I too don’t want to have a reason to login for more than 10minutes a week, I mean the game already has so much content why add more? Anet can you please give legendary armour as login rewards thx
DnT or Att weren’t invited because anet thinks they are the most suitable/best guild’s to test their raids, they were invited either as a favor or just out of respect for the things they’ve done for the community. I don’t like nike and the entire DnT roster is very forgettable but he organized the dungeon tournaments, he put his own money up for the prize pool and somehow got anet to contribute as well. Honestly i’m not sure about attuned but didn’t they help the gw2community ts get wurm kills? either way they probably know devs and that helps just like it helped Kripparrian’s wow guild get ahead of everyone when they got to test an expansion before everyone else.
They should remove the pressure plate bs from coe and stuff, I really like coe, however I don’t like doing it with people that don’t like coe when I have to explain how alphas aoe circles work
I seen people using gliders in that first raid, open world events can bug out too. I just don’t want to be have my events bugged out because someone decided to rush ahead on a glider. If we do get new fractals some might be exclusive to HoT purchasers and they might contain glider mechanics and so on.
People don’t really understand what competition is, whichever guild gets most of the worlds first bosskills will be seen as the top guild for pve assuming the content is challenging, this matters a lot. Why would I ever want to apply for the second best pve guild? I want to be in the top guild they’ll be the one to clear the raids first, they’ll be the first to put the raid into farm status and they will be the first to put bring whatever items the raid drops into the game.
I play on eu and I already have a fairly good idea which guilds are good and which ones are trash, I think it will be hilarious to see how some of these ‘hardcore’ pve guilds that already exist will just become irrelevant when raids are released, those being the ones comprising of trials half of their own members can’t complete themselves or never even had to do, the ones that are filled with farmville players that log in everyday to farm their daily dungeons, play barbie the gw2 endgame and then logout.
There has never been any incentive to join a hardcore pve guild anyway, since half of the people you’ll never talk to as there is no large group content in the game, maybe if they kept pavilion? Speedrunning is already inefficient, gold-wise and content wise, there are much better mmos out there with much more engaging pve content. So most of the ‘hardcore’ players probably left along time ago after launch when they realized this game has nothing to keep them playing and there were other options.

@majessive maybe u should send anet ur cv of all ur gaming qualifications i did and they promote me to head of kittenpost
hoi anet xD
its me just wnat to let u kno if any bogs occur with glidy bros triggering events to early is going to kitten people off like in molten facility when u get past windwall and le epic glider boys decide to go into the bossroom before the npcs the whole fractal will bug and my disability will be in full force (not good place to be XDDDDDD) thx colin johnson this is just one example but I know theres instances where triggering events in the wrong order or too early causes things to bug
Why would I buy the expansion when the only content I will actively play is locked behind a 1 week timegate? and all the other content I enjoy is being watered down to appease the lowest common denominator.
This is a huge mistake, even if it wasn’t what the hell am I supposed to do when I log in? 1 fractal island and the weekly raid and then what? wait until next week to play the game again? Even fractals are being reduced to 1 island and are being given substantially better rewards, even the people that can barely put in 10 minutes a week will be able to complete all of the content within a month or two, this is the only game I have ever played where developers are actively removing content or the incentive to do it, between living story season one with all the temporary stuff, moving dungeon rewards to pvp and now this why would anyone run dungeons ever again?
As someone that hasn’t bought the expansion what the hell am I supposed to do?
MMO devs these days like to appease the players that can barely play for 10minutes a week it only makes sense to reduce the amount of playtime needed and make the rewards easier to get for those players. kitten this piece of kitten game
why was there no tournament did everyone quit the game?
Well with all the thought that was put into the icebow nerf I expect these rewards will get the same treatment, tldr blogpost “We removed the rewards from dungeons please stop doing them and do faceroll content like map farming and silverwastes instead”
Mai trin needs a rework as well it’s such a terrible, boring fight.
Stacking sigils are really good for soloing and in coe 2+3 where you can stack them really fast, but in groups 5 people aren’t going to spend time at the start of a 5minute dungeon run stacking sigils, that’s just a waste of time.
Thief on its own is already really good at tanking things, Invigorating precision is stupid
15 seconds wall of reflection that gives 6 seconds of quickness and 7 stacks of might and cures two conditions is kittening broken, 100% chill uptime without deviating from normal dps build/utilities is broken, the insane survivability of toolkit and shield is fine. I don’t think sinister engi should be doing marginally more damage than everything in the game even it’s other zerker build which is so much harder to play with a rotation that can’t be learned within the first 10 minutes of playing.
Ele should always be top tier dps, it has kittening 10k hp, unless they decide to give the class competitive survivability options, which won’t happen because esports. They’ll never rebalance cantrips even though they are all garbage in pve. I’m genuinely curious as to why people think elementalist even deserved a nerf when it’s like miles ahead of other classes in terms of being mechanically challenging and actually having to think about staying alive unlike engi where the most insane survivability options come from the main dps build lmao.
Why should ele be knocked out of top tier dps and sinister engi be #1 I play both and the amount of mistakes I can make on sinister engi is just stupid, it’s so easy to play with braindead 100% chill uptime 3 second block, easy 25 might upkeep, easy 25 vuln upkeep, shield reflect, shield block, longest reflect wall in the game, more blinds than ele, the best heal in the game and access to stealth. Ele is the only class in pve at least where I feel like surviving is actually a task, if I get breathed on too hard my 10k hp won’t be enough, these nerfs are unjustified. All of the conjures deserve a complete rework not a pitiful 50% ‘nerf’ beyond usability, nerf is the completely wrong word for the balance changes as of late it’s more like what would fanservice our players the most and let’s do that.
(edited by Evapor.6849)
They could add things like the gambit system I think they talked about doing it for fractals
No there was totally a dusk in that chest and you kitteners never ressed me.
What I said stands, when I wanted to get better at the game I stopped doing dungeons in 5 man and only solo, the only time I group I associate myself with 2 really good players and we clear the dungeon/fractal faster than most 5 mans. Pugging is a terrible experience.
You’re going to have to forgive me if I am skeptical as to what your guild showed you, you said you couldn’t skip the trash mobs, you died and then expected a res I am just going to assume someone as clueless as yourself was actually expecting people to clear the trash just to res you, when you could have waypointed and gotten back in half the time. I know that clearly you don’t want to get better and still want everything on a silver platter, but if you want to learn how to get better at dungeons at least join a guild that will teach people how to skip mobs. No offence to your guild of course.
Don’t die, if you can’t skip trash there are plenty of videos to help you with the 3 year old dungeons, could also make your own group that says “Everyone Welcome” but let’s be honest, you won’t do any of that will you?
Talyn said he misses the days when they would get together and be cynical kittenposters on the dungeon forum 3 times a week.
-Nostalgic about the dungeon forum
if this isn’t the saddest thing I have ever read I don’t know what is
It’s funny people seem to think current dungeons and fractals will no longer be run now that we have raids, but they have completely overlooked the fact that the team that balances loot rewards is very stingy and they have timegated every single pve reward since release.
If they can’t balance the rewards without limiting player access then it is bad game design, all mmos do this and not one of them try to combat the issue they just go with the flow, players might make too much money affecting gemsales/rmting? gate the rewards, clearly there has to be a better way. I know for a fact that mmo developers have entire teams who’s sole purpose is to determine what can and can not be a pve rewards, how often it is rewarded etc, now that gw2 is f2p I guess we’ll be seeing even more of this and yet I see no one until now mentioning it.
It would be a waste to have someone in your group specialize in a pure healing build, healing power is a terrible stat and things like engi heal turret are so good with a bit of communication you can max blast the field.
I hear they have changed the agro so it’s a bit less random, if that is the case and it is easy to hold agro in downstate then downstate tanks might be a thing, having one player with quickness to res another in downstate till 99% hp is more effective than any healing in the game, of course it would render two people in your group to be completely useless, just like if they were running pure heal/tank builds.
Please get down from your high horse, are you really trying to say the circus is beneath you? you both would fit right in.
I don’t even know what necro traitlines look like but hes using that poison thing i think
I’m still hysterical, there’s people actually apologizing to anet for the raids not working.
ayy lmao
I guess that settles it they won’t bother trying to fix the raids for this weekend because it ain’t worth their time, if you honestly think this weekend was about getting players in to test an unfinished encounter then you should probably stop reading and continue living in your bubble, enjoy the release.
I wasn’t aware that opinions were locked behind a pre-purchase wall, ill just copy what I said since you apparently didn’t read it. Do I need to be ingame and witness the recoloured mobs or the immune, unavoidable damage to say firmly I don’t like this.
In most limited betas they showcase their absolute best of the best, they often refine the content and make sure it is grabbing the players attention, I don’t like that this was what they chose, I’m certain that there will be much better encounters and more developed areas that we did not get to see, I don’t think the vale guardian boss was interesting, I’m very excited to see that the bosses will have actual phases and I hope they expand on it, I hear they have wildstar developers on their team and I’ve heard good things about those raids.
My constructive criticism is me saying i’m not a fan tick, unavoidable damage. I’m not a fan of forcing everyone to run a gimmick build by making the boss straight up immune, the boss models and animations aren’t very good in my opinion. I even suggested adding a build template system if they are going to force people to change traitlines and gear before each encounter, this is already something I do in the live game when I go from condi to power for example, it’s tedious and uninteresting. If this isn’t constructive I don’t know what is.
Wildstar had 40 man raids, only a small percentage of the community actually tried to raid, and even smaller percentage would be able to get a group that size, people told the devs at carbine that 40 man raiding was a bad idea yet they released and surprise surprise, it failed. Spending 20 minutes before each encounter baby monitoring all the sheep in your group should not be considered part of the difficulty, I suppose making sure 10 peoples schedules line up for every weekly lockout is what you consider to be part of the immersive challenge.

Yeah dlonie, I do think you are insane. I’ve owned this game since shortly after launch and i’ve only recently reached the 2k hour mark, I’ve read the forums since I started playing and I always see the same names posting here, I know first hand that some of the people disagreeing with me, saying “it’s just a beta, they’re just trash mobs, we love the agony mechanic etc” are people that have 5k+ hours in the game, it would only make sense that they try and defend the game they have put so much time into. I’m glad I haven’t put as much time into the game as some of these people, because I have friends that have played other mmos and are in the 5 digit number of hours played with other games and they are legitimately too scared to leave because they have put way too much time into it.
I’m not saying this is the case for everyone that has played a lot, but I do know I would not believe a word they have said, given the past dungeon rework, the fractured update, aetherpath, the halting development of dungeons the ever growing list of dungeon bugs that seems to mysteriously go unnoticed.
(edited by Evapor.6849)
So much denial it’s unreal, if you want yesmen goto reddit please, that way you can censor out if you don’t want to read criticism.
Yeah no-one has pushed 50%
I stand by all those, but I never specifically said the raid was garbage the mechanics are in fact garbage, just making bosses immune, random tick unavoidable damage is garbage. Raiding has always been a concept that’s puzzled me because the more people that something requires to participate in does not make it more challenging in fact it does the complete opposite, each players job becomes less and less important as there is always going to be massive disparity between player skill levels, all it will end up being is a 10 man raid with x outstanding players x average and a larger number of bad players.
I think the raids could be amazing, if I thought the raids were garbage I wouldn’t be here posting I would have moved on to a different game, I just think they could have chosen a better first encounter.
Which is exactly why a lot of people are giving feedback atm, in the hopes that devs actually do something with it, unlike our experiences in the past with issues left undressed for months or even years.
I don’t see why we shouldn’t be allowed to give feedback because its only a small part of the complete raid.
But see I’m telling what I told to a person that just flat out admitted he doesn’t even have the expansion. He hasn’t even tried it, he’s just watching it.
What valuable feedback could anet get from a person like this who’s just blindly raging about something he hasn’t even tried for himself?
Money is an object to me, maybe you can tell anet to send me a copy of the expansion for free to. Weird that you say im raging, more like dissapointed, aren’t you the one that ragequits like on stream all the time?
(edited by Evapor.6849)
Like I’ve said being 4 weeks from release, not much is going to change other than the obvious game-breaking bugs like the squad UI, I watched a twitch stream because I don’t plan on buying the game. I wanted to buy the game this weekend but nothing changed my mind and I’m not naive enough to actually believe any of the promises given all the updates to instanced pve in the past have been lackluster, like aetherpath and fractured springs to mind, aetherpath being the complete communication disaster and lack of playtesting made it into a repeatable path which is 50% unskippable cutscenes, really small chance to get something remotely valuable and no actual longevity.
People keep saying this is beta thing are going to change, what about all the content that isn’t being tested? I saw a group of what I would consider to be not so great players get past the first three encounters rather quickly once they found out how to beat them, then without knowing the mechanics of the last boss rushed into the encounter dps him down and kind of learned the mechanics by wiping then they got booted. I have a terrible memory, but maybe you can point out where I called the raid garbage.
.
The dungeons devs didn’t run away they left the company or got fired, Robert Hrouda is spoken pretty highly of in this forum he interacted with the community alot and took in quite a few suggestions, you make this our like some sort of personal attack on the developers when it’s actually just being upset that during the presentation of raids was very lackluster and was very quickly axed due to an unforeseen bug.
I don’t even have the expansion, watching a group of clueless people on twitch, barely communicating spike the boss to 80% on their second attempt was enough to make me wheeze, along with the unavoidable/immune bs, or losing a percentage of your health every second to make the encounter more ‘challening’ whatever the meaning of that is. Maybe I shouldn’t give feedback, because clearly none of it has ever been taken.
Edit: yeah I was mistaken 4 weeks instead of 3, shoot me
(edited by Evapor.6849)
What you fought was not a Raid Boss…..
they were just cannon fodder…..and ONE mini Boss !Why don’t people actually play the content for some extended time before writing [censored] about it !!!
I’m Already tired of seeing people jumping to conclusions, just because they were allowed to play a single encounter, which by the way consists of just:
cannon fodder and ONE MINI BOSS !!!
Stop claiming [censored]
The jury is still out on challenging content until we get to play the WHOLE RAID !!!
You do realize the entire raid wing will be released in under 3 weeks time, this is what they present us, this is the feedback that is being given, now that the event isn’t even playable i’m not sure why anyone would have anything positive to say, they chose to present this encounter specifically as the introduction to raids, jumping to conclusions and first impressions is not the same thing, they just happen to be both negative in this case.
