Its not a bad ideal but you will have to kind of be giving up things to do it. So no on swap effects and it puts your atuments on a cd. A kind of “i am giving up on being a weaver” button.

Perosnally id replace it with a charged utility much like ‘Twist of Fate’ but evades you backwards then flips over to a leap forward much like Ranger sword 2 (hornet sting?) but using the weaver spin animation.
Removes cripple/immob/slow/chilled.

Its a pirouette not just a spin. Think of weave like a dancer much like tempest was a singer. I love to see more dance aimed animations over time on the sword skills.

It’s a Crouching Tiger, Flying daggers spin! :P

Weaver
My surprise favorite class of beta
Loved the animations and play style, really top notch job guys!
Will take a long time to master i really like that.
hopefully constructive critisism
Weaver’s prowess and Elements of rage didn’t seem to work (in mine at least)
Stone Resonance – the recharge 50s seemed way too high, i think a lower CD would address a lot of the weaver issues.
Earthen Vortex should do the same but move you to your target maybe.
Put unravel on f5 cause i would’t ever use it as a utility (but thats just me maybe)

Deadeye
As a thief main i wasn’t looking forward to this but i think you got the ‘feel’ just right, i was super impressed. Played SA/Tric/DE and really felt like a sniper in WvW.
issues
The kneel sometimes felt clunky, as someone in reddit said change the flip over icon to a diff colour.
The steal cast time was offputting.

Spellbreaker
I really loved Spellbreaker and felt it did exactley what it was supposed to do.
issues
The dagger leap felt a little short
The dagger stun at 1/4s was ok to interupt but not good as a setup for Wastrels Ruin maybe a slightly longer daze.
Loss Aversion seemed to do pitiful damage – 150 damage on marauders.

Mirage
Hated it the 1st time i tried it, liked it when i remade to try different builds and weapons. The sword attack is great and when id made a hybrid stat build sword/staff running Viper’s in WvW it worked super good, even i couldn’t tell which was me or which was a clone.
issues
a lot of the shadowstep utilities teleported me under the terrain in WvW mostly when i was fighting near camps. Think Weaver will be great when people stop just building for condi and not shattering.

Soulbeast
I was really excited for Soulbeast and how it would work with core ranger traits, unfortunately i found that it simply didn’t work at all with a lot of them which i don’t think should ever happen. If you have to make the soulbeast merge same cooldown as pet swap but make all the traits work please.
issues
Lots of traits simply don’t work as you’d expect
Daggers seemed to be balance around having quickness, without it they were super underwhelming.
The Aura was a little too much loose the green mist that blocks the character or lessen it a lot.

To be honest i’d like all of the amulets from PvP put into gear. Its a little jarring having totally different stats in gamemodes that you cant have in another, Sage, Demolisher etc.
Also more movement speed runes PLEASE!!
Rune of the Lynxx is already in PvP why not open world.
PoF is a good opportunity to do this surely

So barrier numbers need to be tripled, right?

Pro’s
One of the most beautiful classes i’ve ever played in an MMO, the animations are amazing, the effects the whole theme i love it.
Lots to learn but i made a spec i’m really comfortable with does nice damage and has good survivability.
Liking the charges on the utilities.
So much work went into this spec its pretty unbelievable.
The traits all gel nicely with other ele traitlines.

Cons
I don’t find the heal very useful at all.
Unravel would have been nice if it were an F5 skill next to earth but with charges and the same cooldowns. I don’t like the idea that they gave up a utility to ‘beginner weavers’ as stated in the live stream.
Sword could do with a little damage boost i suppose, but i suspect they purposefully under tuned some new weapons until they could see what people could do with them.
Biggest con – the stats im using on my weaver build aren’t available in open world >:C

Apart from that absolutely love the Weaver!

Sugg- Beastmode and daggers need love.

Daggers seem to deal super poor damage on auto attack no matter what stats you try.
500 dmg crits in marauders isnt good and the conditions hardly even last a full cycle

Not sure you shouldn’t add things simply because they might be abused by trolls.
ATM trolls can build rams in the keep and waste supply just the same but why would they build a ton of balistas in a camp and refresh them rather than build AC’s in a tower and refresh those instead?

Perhaps add more ways to gain participation/ refresh decay timer which would benefit different types of play styles.

eg:

Refreshing Siege

Grants participation and refreshes decay timer 1 refresh minute per every 10 minutes siege has decayed. (if 40m left on siege add 2 mins to your decay timer)

This might encourage people to siege up towers more and reward players for defending. It would also get people into the habit of refreshing tower siege which can’t be a bad thing

Tricks and Traps

Supply Removal – Grants 1 min decay refresh per enemy hit by trap + participation
Siege Dis-abler – Grants 1 min decay refresh per siege hit by trap + participation
Reveal Trap – Grants 1 min decay refresh per enemy revealed + participation.

I don’t think this would be a over powered as you can only place 1 type of each trap,so no spamming taps everywhere and might make choosing traps from rewards more desirable

I think if additional mounts are implemented they will act as a skin ‘covering’ one of the pre existing mount types since they’re all tied to masteries.

So for example a horse skin might replace the Raptor mount – because they leap.
Giant bat skin might replace the ‘skimmer?’ mount cause of gliding.
Rocket boost Golem mount skin might replace the Springer.

Anyone else sad new items look aweful?

What's going on with Outnumbered?

I played wvw yesterday and half our maps population had outnumbered the others didn’t, even after the ‘skirmish’ reset.
40 minutes later my friend still had the outnumbered icon, I didn’t (and many others).

If you swap characters and log back into the Outnumbered map you loose the buff.
It seems that possibly the outnumbered buff is only applying once when the map initially becomes outnumbered and then has to become not outnumbered and switch again to outnumbered before other players receive it.

Surely this can’t be how it’s meant to be now?

A persons WVW server should not be used for pip acquisition. The rewarding of pips should be fair and equally rewarding to all participants regardless of whatever their War Score is ..whatever that means

+1 Your world has the least amount of War Score in the current Skirmish.
+2 Your world has the second most War Score in the current Skirmish.
+3 Your world has the most War Score in the current Skirmish.

This is extremely wrong and the most unfair component in the reward system in all of GW2. Extremely discriminating this is . Please make it an avg amount of pips given to all players regardless of what server you play on – or whether or not your server is winning or loosing the battle or remove this entirely. It is immoral and discriminates against people not playing on stacked servers. Whoever did this needs to give me an explanation. A very good one of why your choosing to discriminate people who aren’t winning the matchup.

Fixed in bold cause we’re all entitled to be winners even if we’re loosing, right?

Or just make wvw rewards follow the same trend as say fractal rewards
We could have:
T1 (exotic) armor and weapons gained from R1 to maybe R2000
T2 ascended rewarded at various ranks maybe R2000 – R6000
T3 ascended rewarded from R6000 to R10,000
And finally the legendary back piece at R10,000

Or we could just keep it like it is and stop complaining

Please make it an avg amount of pips given to all players all remove this entirely. It is immoral and discriminates against new players. Whoever did this needs to give me an explanation. A very good one of why your choosing to discriminate other players.

Basically you should learn the difference between discrimination and reward

The only other way (in keeping with other game modes) to reward higher rank players would have been to have an increasing rank requirement for every single piece of armor and weapon, ending in the Legendary backpack, which i’m sure even fewer people would have liked.

It would have also had the exact same effect ‘oh no higher rank people will get all the stuff before me’

Take away account wide gold find, and magic find by an extension of that logic. It discriminates against new players. Nodes in home instances? Also a no no. Unfair.

I can only find 8 Recipes that use Quartz Crystals, and 12 that use Charged Quartz crystals. In the scheme of things (game recipes), that does not seem like very many.

I sell off a stack about twice a year. Maybe purchasing from the Trading Post would suffice.

They’re used in several guild hall upgrades…Celestial armor and weapons… runes…maintenance oils… Nomads armor and weapons …Commanders armor and weapons…Sinister armor and weapons…Trailblazer armor and weapons…certain sigils…decorations…just off the top of my head and i’m sure there’s more

Since Quartz crystals are used in so many things and there’s so many recipes that need them, would it be possible to add a few nodes to the new map? seems like a fitting place to have a few nodes so we have a reliable way to collect them rather than rng or event locked nodes.

As it stands there are several ‘Halloween’ outfits that won’t actually be available on Halloween because they’ve been on limited sale over the last month.

I agree with the OP to a point.
Personally i say add all new legendaries the old way…rng precursors from loot table and forge INCLUDING the 2nd generation precursors that we already have.
This would possibly help keep crafting prices in check if there are more than one way to obtain said precursors.

Then work on the crafting quest for each precursor over time until they’re all completed.

Im sure a lot of work has already been done on each new legendary, it seems very backward to just scrap it all.

This is very disheartening news, you guys should add the promised new legendaries in via the old method and work on the precursor quests over time.
Stopping work on them altogether and scrapping work already done sends a really negative message to your community.

This is totally unplayable at the moment especially in pvp.
Very hard to tell where my character actually is especially when falling – fall a bit back up a bit…down a lot up a bit SPLAT.
When running im stuttering so badly that my character has multiple faces especially when strafing

With the current bunker meta old SD thief is just what the game needs. (boon stripping/stealing)
Revert most of the (now) unnecessary changes SD has suffered over the years such as:

bloated front heavy initiative costs (Flanking Strike / Larcenous Strike) – make this pre-castable again

Infiltrators strike/return should remove 2 conditions and have the cast time taken away reverting it to how IS/IR used to work.

Flanking Strike /Larcenous Strike steal/remove 2 boons and get rid of the ‘must hit’ prerequisite.

On to traits

Redesign Acrobatics so it focuses on mitigating AoE damage

GM trait – Fancy Footwork – take 33% less damage from AoE attacks.
GM trait – Contingency Plan – Gain Resistance for the duration of the ‘revealed’ debuff
GM trait – Recover health while ever you have swiftness (kind of stolen from Scrapper but hay ho we’re thieves afterall)

And so on

How many people in GW2 have that kind of time to spend “playing” ( grinding )? I’m willing to bet the real money spenders are actually the busy, middle class professinals who, you know, spend most of their week working, doing stuff with their loved ones, going out, going to the gym etc. These people are the bread and butter for Anet, the so called casuals who play for an hour at a time most days. When you market your expansion on the back of the Elite spec, make sure you go full disclosure on what exactly it would take to actually play it once it goes live. Anet did not do that and so now folks feel cheated. Pretty simple to uderstand no?

Actually like probably a lot of people i booked Friday off, Saturday was my day off anyway so i’ve had 2 binge days of playing, it’s not an everyday occurrence.
As hero points go, on the first map alone there are 9 hero points you can get with just gliding 1 and mushroom jumping… those take so little time to get if your joining in on events (ie playing) that’s 90 hero points right there out of your 400.
Presuming i don’t have a life or loved ones based on two days is, well…rather presumptuous and rude to be honest.

Personally i think its awesome how Anet implemented this, felt great when i finished the spec circle and got the last reward. It’s something to aim for and gives a sense of accomplishment when you finish, rather than being handed everything on day 1

Really don’t see the problem with this and basically most people are totally over reacting.
It’s an expansion! and because GW2 has ‘horizontal’ progression (The process of developing gradually towards a more advanced state) and not an increased level cap, people are up in arms.
If this was an expansion from 99% of other games with an increased level cap you’d have to earn those extra levels. I see nothing different here. No one makes an expansion and hands you everything on a platter just for buying it, that’s not the nature of MMo’s.
It’s something to work towards and achieve rather than everyone on day 1 having access to everything and i’m fine with that (i also have 20+ level 80s so it will be difficult, but isn’t that a reason we play these games? to achieve in one way or another)

So seriously chill out and get excited about Friday and quit with all the doom and gloom.

Hay Capt Sarge, i’d retry in an hour or two from this post. I’m not entirely sure when the beta chars got deleted (time) but i can’t get my names either. None of them are actually taken, just seem ‘locked’

I’m presuming after 24 hrs from when they were deleted they should be available again, seems the beta character slots are separate from your actual account once beta ends so there might be a 24 hr lockout
