This is the most pointless change I’ve ever seen.
I said “if these queues continues”. If not, then everything is fine. I’m from EU btw, and FSP have 30+ queues on all borders at 3 pm.

Since the “Competitive Feature Pack” came out, the queues have gone through the roof. If these queues continues, the whole point of “linked worlds” will be gone.
So I suggest that on the next relink, Anet should unlink (at least the top) servers and bring back 1 or 2 tiers.

Add duelling to certain lvl 80 PvE maps. Would be awesome!
The current PvE is way too stale and duelling would add an extra layer that would make it more interesting.
If you don’t want to duel, you can simply choose not to.
How would any of those “proposals” change anything at all?
To recreate “identities” you have two options:
1. Throw current servers in the garbage, create new worlds and give players 1 free transfer. And this time you would only make 12 new servers for both EU and NA.
2. Merge the current servers and force certain players to accept that their world doesn’t exist anymore. Make us vote for which server names we want to keep, then merge the current servers into the ones getting the most votes.
DONE, problem solved.
Now you can focus on things that actually matters, like giving us a bigger GvG arena.
You talk about roaming like it’s a part of WvW, which it is, but so is GvG! Why isn’t GvG mentioned here? Guild fights have always been a part of the WvW community and to not even mention it is outrageous and disrespectful towards a huge (dying) part of it.
How this aspect and community-created part of WvW didn’t and still doesn’t get recognized is beyond me. It’s an old dusty goldmine where the dust is wrapped around it like a disease slowly killing it.

I am chilled. I use normal USB port, and I will try to go windowed mode if it happens again.
This is still happening, and I only need to be afk for 1 minute and the keyboard freezes and I have to restart the game for it to work again. A response from Anet would be nice.

You’re correct. Although guild wars 2 is the next part of the series it isn’t balanced around 8v8 like guild wars 1. It’s balanced around 5v5.
The hard reality is your zerg stacking version of “GvG” is mostly reliant on gear and the aoe cap, Having a game mode built around that would be stupid.
5v5 is there for guilds to compete, This is where you can truely shine if your as good a guild as people claim they are. The game is balanced around 5v5 and spvp. If you can’t accept that then you’re playing the wrong game m’afraid.
5v5 is sPvP, not GvG, and since Anet didn’t give us a GvG mode in GW2, the fans made their own version, which is working great for those interested in it. We got Obsidian Sanctum at least, maybe we should just be happy with that and look forward to how the specializations and new class can change the GvG meta.
15s and 20s is the true GvG in GW2. This isn’t GW1, it’s GW2, and because of the WvW mode guilds have always done GvGs with either 15 or 20s. Still didn’t answer my question about Guild Halls though, and how many can each team be in Stronghold, 5v5? 8v8? 10v10?
So Guild Halls won’t give guilds the possibility to do GvGs?
Will it be possible to do GvGs in Guild Halls?

Well that’s a bold assumption to make on the very night the patch came out! Let’s think about it. People complain because they played on Courtyard. It means that some people liked it, if they voted for it! I would also like to see more DM maps, but on a separate queue, to use different builds and comps.
Yes, exactly, I want Team Deathmatch to be on a seperate queue, should make a new thread on that!
Finally “Team Deathmatch” is here, the real PvP! Please give us more of these maps and make the mode more accessible than it is now with only 1 map.
Oh boy, how long has it been now? You know we still can’t whisper players for 30 minutes or so, and when we CAN whisper, the chat goes all crazy and instead of controlling your character, you are writing in and out of the chat to those you TRIED whispering to 30 minutes ago. When this happens while fighting, you will die, at least in WvW, so this is a serious bug that you should have fixed by now.
Oh and I’d like to add: why do you think monetizing WvW is hard?
Suggestion: gem store wvw:
- custom banners: different styles of banner
- custom castle skins: e.g. gold ornaments
- custom siege weapons: e.g. a catapult shooting rainbow quaggans instead of cannon balls, rainbow unicorn pun intended.Sell it for 500-800 gems in the store, i’m sure people will hop on. Just give us some regular fixes, updates idk… anything.
And then people would whine about them spending time on those things rather than doing stuff for “fixing” WvW.

Wow if everyone is lagging, then I should be to but I’m not, so everyone is not lagging.
There is at least 1 server with stability issues that causes people to feel like they’re lagging. The server basically stops sending packets for a few seconds every few minutes, resulting in a lag spike or a disconnect.
I encountered it a few days ago. The IP ends in 161 and others have complained about it in the past. If you find yourself on this server, simply switch to a different one.
“simply switch to a different one.” I’m not paying 1000/1800 gems for a transfer because Anet isn’t doing their job.

On Gunnars Hold server a lot of my guildies and me can’t log in to the game at all. Besides this we all lag and have dc problems every single day, and we don’t have this in other games, why is that? You still think it’s our personal PCs fault? Bull****, you know that the problem is on your end, not ours, time to fix it, come on, it’s been 2 years ++, you should give something back for once.

Here is what they decided to fix/add to WvW with todays patch:
I absolutely hate this idea in every way imaginable. But I cannot tell you how much easier it will be to solo towers. As is, I like to YOLO cap but rarely succeed. I’ll often get the wall or gate nearly down or get inside but get caught before I can take it. Sometimes I manage though. Without white swords… Lol. I’m going to have fun with this stupid idea until it’s removed. Inb4solocappingT3keep.
this is interesting. will this lead to pug zergs getting more fights as defending will become less and less common? or will it lead to more siege bunks and 30 minutes of treb vs ac stalemates?
No, it will lead to Eotm behaviour with blobs never thinking about returning home to save their corner, they will just continue to cap cap cap while the enemy blobs are doing the exact same thing. Good thing we have guilds that hunt down those filthy blobs though.
It’s obvious that the majority of WvW players doesn’t want this change.
To be fair earlier in WvW people made sure to avoid directly hitting gates and such in order to avoid swords (I seem to recall white swords not appearing if you only hit with rams) as that would give away their position. So clearly people did want to avoid being found-out due to the swords.
They are going to test it out. Lets see how the testing goes before we decide that it is the worst idea ever, shall we?
Do you work for Anet? Never seen someone agreeing more with what Anet does than you.
I mean, why won’t they give us something the majority really asked for, instead of “trying out” something 1 person wanted?
Who said WvW players wanted to remove white swords? Did Anet just decide this themselves, or did players who plays WvW regularly really want this change?
Because, I haven’t spoken to one single WvW player who want this to happen …

Yeah, let’s all agree with 1 out of thousands of players, what a wonderful idea. We’re not giving WvW player’s a lot of attention, but when we do, we agree with the one player who’s against (most likely) 90 % of the rest.
This game is called “GUILD” Wars 2. Of course the developer’s doesn’t want the players to do GvGs, are you out of your mind?
It’s been 2 years + and still no Guild Halls, so, is this actually a sequel to “Guild Wars” or is it the prequel where the devs didn’t know what Guild Halls was? I thought when you had something successful in a game, you kept it and improved it? Hmmm, no, let’s just remove it, let’s remove the capes too because “the charr models doesn’t fit it”, wow, really? …
Haha, GW2 disconnections have been here for 2 years+ now, in every aspect of the game, Anet will never fix it. Case closed.
Wow, you guys never stop trolling us. If I were to count all the technical issues I’ve experienced since buying this game, your forums would crash.
Today, I was supposed to play spvp and have a jolly good time, but no, when I entered the map “Legacy of Foefire”, the game crashed. When I tried logging in again, I crashed instantly after choosing which character to play on.
I tried logging in again, this time I got into HotM where I got a pop up message telling me that it was 35 seconds before the match started. When the countdown was done, the game crashed again after being on “Legacy of Foefire” loading screen.
All of the above still happens when I log in, so my account is now stuck in a loop. So basically Anet has now froze my account for trying to play spvp, the gamemode you so desperately trying to make an e-sport. This did also happen to the rest of my party, but if this is being handled like WvW issues has been handled, nothing will be done about it.
Well, a Guild Hall should give players/guilds something they don’t already have, I mean, only an instance where the guild can hang out, wouldn’t be anything new. I’ve seen someone mention customizations, building and how you could “show this off” to other guilds/players etc, that would be cool.
But let’s face it, a lot of players already left GW2 for AA and other games because of the heavy stagnation in both WvW and GvG where they felt developers worked against those two game modes.
For good guilds/players to either come back or not leave GW2, the Guild Halls should give guilds the opportunity to do proper GvGs where guilds can fight guilds even though they’re not in the same matchup/tier/league. This is one of the things that would make guilds/players come back, I’m sure of it.

- In PvE i have lagspikes that can last for about 1 minute and disconnect every now and then. In WvW I have a slightly different problem where I don’t dc that much, but I experience a lot of rubberbanding, and it doesn’t need to be in EU primetime, it can happen anytime. Is this one of the new features in the September Feature Pack?
- Edit: As we speakittenep dcing every 5 minutes. Everything else on my PC is working just fine, but why won’t GW2 ever work properly? …

Do you have any specific issues to report? It’s difficult to escalate bug reports, without details on the bug(s) you are experiencing and how it’s affecting your gameplay.
When I’m just standing still in any borderlands, players around me teleport back and forth, so it’s impossible for me to time my skills when fighting. Rubberbanding has been non stop since the update and 1-2 seconds delay on skills, but that also happens in PvE/PvP. When you raid with your guild, and it’s about who’s got the less lag/rubberbanding when you fight and not skills, it gets both boring and frustrating. It was not this bad before the feature pack, so something must’ve happened. I’m currently on EU server Gunnar’s Hold.

This is the information we players got served while waiting for the amazing feature pack:
“We’ve changed the way many of the underlying systems work, making them more cost-effective, which will reduce how often players will be seeing issues caused by performance. This is most notable in large combat situations like WvW and at the PvE world boss events. These improvements affect both the server and client performance, so in these situations, you should see increased frame rates as well!”
Well, with WvW’s current state it’s almost unplayable now, so GG.
The only thing we can do, is to stop playing GW2. But we love WvW, so that’s not an option.

- Due to fierce financial competition, one of the armor and weapons merchants in each staging area has declared bankruptcy and moved on. Their goods have been claimed by the remaining merchants.- The player-count requirement for breakout events has been lowered from 10 to 5.
Sooo, why haven’t the “stuck in siege” bug been fixed yet? How long has it been now, 2 years? ;-)

Yeah, but I don’t think they’ll ever wake up. The only things they’re focusing on are: PvE (living story etc) aaaaaand Gemstore $$$$. And how could I forget, giving me infractions on this forum for speaking my mind about their incompetence regarding WvW.

Yeah, I totally agree with you! They will probably remove this topic within minutes. They seem kinda desperate these days, trying to hide everything they’ve messed up.
