The primary reason for the order of effects is due to how it looks with multiple foes. I tried other permutations during testing but this one looks the best for the following reasons:
- Putting the pull anywhere but last makes the rest of the skill look bad because the enemies are all in one ball the whole time with their models overlapping.
- When the knockdown is placed after the float the animations don’t blend properly resulting in the skill looking like the knockdown was out of sync.
Thanks for the explanation. I am sure mesmer, as a trolling profession, can trade a little functionality for aesthetics.
Well of Eternity’s recharge was 20s in BWE2. In BWE3, is it 20s → 30s or 20s → 25s?
Thank you!
- Gravity Well: Now performs a knockdown, float and then pull. No longer gives stability on end. Increased final damage by 50%
Why not pull -> float -> knockdown? Stacking enemies should be a preferred starter to land following skills. And CCed targets are harder to escape from the center despite the small radius.
I find that I don’t summon Illusionary Avenger a lot of times because I interrupted my channeled block with my own skills if I am not blocking.
Creating a unbreakable Continuum rift:
The easiest way is to spam shatter skills while in the Split: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=UdTgIts-2ng
My guess of this bug would be the global shatter cooldown prevents Continuum Shift from happening.
Creating multiple rifts:
create an unbreakable rift ? die ? teleport to a waypoint within 5000(?) range ? go back to the unbreakable and do a new Split/Shift
Removing the rift:
Do a new Split/Shift. Or running 5000(?) range away from the rift will revert caster back to the rift and destroy it.
FYI, 2 tooltip errors in BWE2:
1. Well of Eternity’s activation time is 0.25s but shows 0.5s.
2. Echo of Memory and Deja Vu do not show the damage change from Empowered Illusions, even though the damage does increases. (This existed in BWE1 as well)
1 unmentioned change:
Well of Action activation time 0.25s → 0.75s.
Slow is a condition (like chill), not a control effect (like stun/daze).
After 23/6 patch, I always suspect that there will be an elite specialization from another profession who use mantras with a trait that grants background recharge.
Unintended procs of Fencer’s Finesse (the effect):
1. Sword main-hand / Focus off-hand
Reflected projectiles from traited Temporal Curtain; Phantasmal Warden (traited/untraited), reflected projectiles from Feedback, Power Spike, Mind Wrack, Cry of Frustration (I didn’t test reflected projectiles from Warden but it should proc)
2. Sword main-hand / Other off-hands
Reflected projectiles from Feedback, Power Spike, Mind Wrack, Cry of Frustration
3. Scepter main-hand / Sword off-hand
Scepter skill #1,2,3 including Counterspell, Reflected projectiles from Feedback, Power Spike, Mind Wrack, Cry of Frustration (scepter clone’s attack does not proc, but a shattered clone still procs)
4. Scepter main-hand / Focus off-hand
Warden (traited/untraited) (all others do not proc)
5. Scepter main-hand / Pistol,Torch off-hand
(No procs)
6. Spear
Reflected projectiles from Feedback, Power Spike, Mind Wrack, Cry of Frustration
Specializations: Dom/Duel/Insp; all major traits unselected except Fencer’s Finesse, and Warden’s Feedback when necessary
(edited by Fanolian.8415)
While doing all the nerfs, perhaps give us Sharper Images baseline and replace the trait with Confusing Combatants, or vice versa. Thanks.
Well if you are lucky enough…
(Other junks before and after it are from Mawdrey II and Star of Gratitude.)
Assuming you are a new player…
The place was THE central hub of Lion’s Arch, which was the central hub of GW2. 80% of players in LA were within 1200 range of that bank (and the other 19% in BLTC).
GRANDMASTER
Temporal Enchantment: Add pulsing healing.
It can be abused by using Portal Entre but not activating Portal Exeunt, if there is no limit on number of pulses.
That’s when you revive someone, it’s from the old revive trait, nothing changed.
That is what I hope too. The new text should only applies to the revive version of Feedback, which does not change.
It seems that the 10s cooldown for Medic’s Feedback is removed, or just another oversight.
According to the stream (https://i.imgur.com/LwCb3lm.jpg, first skill at Adept), Feedback may create a dome at mesmer’s current location instead of enemy’s.
Exact (new) text:
((Glamour. Create a dome around you that reflects projectiles.))
Current text:
Glamour. Create a dome around your foes that reflects projectiles.
However, the 1200 range skill fact still presents despite Feedback may become a PBAoE. So either the range is redundant, or the new text is changed unnecessarily which should not happen in the first place.
What do you think about the new Feedback if the change is true?
Protected Phantasms has a 10s cooldown from the stream. Perhaps if you summon 2 phantasms in a row, the second one does not have distortion. (Or just a oversight from reworking Triumphant Distortion.)
Illusionary Defense and Compounding Power still exists… Why don’t just combine them (and maybe adjust the value slightly).
Dunno if was already posted. Did a frac 49 run today. Turrets in turret room of thaumanova fractal don’t work anymore. Projectile seems to explode right on top of it.
Same at 50. I can walk freely in the room without the shield.
Also, east room (save 4 asurans) now gives boss the debuff properly. The panel room is still open before saving all asurans. I don’t know what happen if we don’t save them.
I don’t know if it indeed gives bonus damage neither.
Steps to reproduce:
0. Enable first-person camera
1. Zoom into first-person view
2. Use any emotes, e.g. /sit, /dance
3. Zoom out to third-person view
Actual result:
Weapon is visible.
Expected result:
Weapon should be hidden for emotes.
I understand there are other ways to show weapons during an emote, but I don’t think the current implementation is intended.
Guess I have to complete all the mistlock instabilities I skipped before HoT….
I suggest adding the ability to transmute the item description, together with its skin and name, to a new weapon, armour, or even trinket (Yes I want to transmute a trinket!). Item stats and upgrades should be isolated and be only things the original item remains.
There are 2 issues regarding item descriptions (blue text on the item popup) right now: descriptions not following the skin/name; and lots of descriptions on items are underused.
1. Descriptions on items are underused
Many karma vendors sell weapons, armours, and trinkets with unique names and item descriptions. Some are about lores, some are funny and some are insightful. Most of these items, however, are either low levels, low tiers or with undesirable stat combinations which do not appeal to end game players.
I have many times passed a completed heart, looked at an interesting item description, appreciate it a bit but decided to move on because I would not use that item in combat. I want to utilise them in my journey.
2. Descriptions stuck to original items
Currently with the wardrobe system, the name of a transmuted weapon/armour follows the skin but not the stat (original item). The item description decribes the item in “Transmuted” coloumn instead. https://dviw3bl0enbyw.cloudfront.net/uploads/forum_attachment/file/180367/gw393.jpg
In my opinion it is better for item descriptions matching (new) skins/names as well. Guildwars 2 is more about appearance than stats and thus more stuff should relate to the look rather than stats.
P.S. To new players, weapon/armour name was based on the stat before 2014 September Feature Pack. So your pristine transmuted Infinite Light would have called Berserker’s Pearl Sabre in the past.
However, my suggestion may raise some problems:
A. Most of unique name karma items share a few basic skins. You cannot have a clever name in Skritt Poker without showing a generic sword on your hand.
B. Some items can be obtained once only. If a player deletes that item, there is no way to transmute that item description again.
(edited by Fanolian.8415)
hey, so you just right click and choose this option then you should get to the fractal weapon collection achievment.
I don’t see the achievement neither. Do you need to have all skins to unlock the acheivement? I have 10 of 19 only.
Also, why don’t you have the “use” option to your skin? (Just curious, not saying it’s fake of course)
Video example: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=EOJ1mJz-FK4
As seen in the video, I do not get quickness boon after few seconds even though I am still inside my TW bubble and not in a group. Sometimes I do not get even 1 stack of quickness the whole time.
I didn’t test other AoEs.
I suggest keeping Mimic as a chain skill. Echo share boons to allies, a.k.a active effect of Signet of Inspiration. This gives an advantage to Mimic over Arcane Thievery in some situations, and the name Echo fits this effect too.
If Echo is not used in 5 seconds, recharge time remains at 30s. If Echo is used, increase the recharge time to 45 seconds, same as SoI.
Of course Signet of Inspiration should rework accordingly.

They fixed the reflection lasting longer than the animation.
Yeah, I noticed that. I should have said attack downtime. Sorry for the confusion.
It looks like warden does not attack as often with phantasmal haste now. Perhaps anet shortens the animation together with the reflection time? I didn’t do a thorough test.
Attack downtime (from animation stops to next animation starts) is constantly around 9.2s with or without phantasmal haste.
(edited by Fanolian.8415)
Is phantasmal haste broken for the new warden? Usually I use 2 wardens for almost-perma reflection in pve. Now I notice a longer reflection downtime after 2 warden attack.
Vines next to “magical artifacts” from Tower of Nightmare and Belinda returning to Fort Salma? This won’t end well…
Or 1 mesmer with heal on mantra.
The term ‘soulbound’ explains better what it means within the game then ‘unique’. You also get a warning before soulbinding an item, you get no warning when binding an acended trinket. It would certainly help if a message popped up telling me that I am about to ‘purchase a unique item that I already have’. You even get a warning when buying a salvage kit with karma, why not a warning with something that costs so much more?
I agree with what Aidan Savage.2078 said above me.
Yeah, unique to you so one character (or account) (who also happens to be the only/unique Commander and Trehearnes right hand in the story) buying another one would be ‘impossible’.
This is how I categorise a unique item:
Unique does not mean the item cannot be sold. It is restricted by soulbound/account-bound status. Though I think, correct me if I am wrong, all unique items in-game comes with either soulbound/account-bound status. That is why unique is shown alongside with soulbound/account-bound but not a 3rd status of binding.
In theory I can buy a unique-but-not-soulboun/account-bound-(on acquire) item and resell it.
Therefore, restricting the purchase of more unique items does not sound right to me. That’s my 2 cents.
It says unique on the ring.
And what does that mean? It is never explained what it is supposed to mean withing the context of the game.
unique
Being the only one of its kind; unlike anything else
Many things are not explained in-game. The term soulbound, account bound are not explained in-game neither but I don’t recall anyone complaining those items cannot be sold.
If it were actually unique it would be impossible to buy more than one. and only one person would have it.
By the same logic, if it were actually soulbound/account-bound than you can’t have it because someone else had already bound it. But no, because it is soulbound/account-bound/unique to you.
so is there a complete list of updated times for events yet?
The wiki page is now all updated. Thanks Poke and RWinter.
That link is in UTC.
Why should I have to convert times for every world boss, even though that page isnt updated?
Anet NEEDS to place an ingame UI with times in the friggen game!!!
That way there is 0 confusion about updated times with a patch since the game will already have the updated time list.
Why is it so hard for you Anet???
The page has your local time as well. Or you can switch your in-game clock to server time, which uses UTC since few patches ago.
The Current events section grabs information directly from the template so it must be correct.
The full schedule part is hand-written by wiki contributors. You, or anyone, can edit it to reflect the patch change.
I do not comment on in-game boss timer as I recall anet wants a clean UI from the beginning.
http://wiki.guildwars2.com/wiki/World_boss#Current_events
Please use wiki. The page has been updated with the new rotation. (Karka Queen and the Shatterer are both active as of writing at 1800UTC).
Be reminded, the full schedule is not updated!

Underwater fractal needs some love…
Video showing the bug: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JnhEoosjNws
I have been to this fractal 4 times since the patch. I get mixed response from party members though it is bugged for me all the time. In a group a guardian’s spirit weapon and a ranger’s pet are doing 0 damages. The next group another mesmer said her illusions were bugged too. In the third group another mesmer claimed her phantasms were doing proper damages.
If it matters, I use an I-do-what-I-want build: 0 4(II, IV) 0 6(I, II, VIII) 4(III, X)
The first time I noticed it, captured on 2012-9-30:
https://dviw3bl0enbyw.cloudfront.net/uploads/forum_attachment/file/153112/gw074.jpg
This is me just now:
https://dviw3bl0enbyw.cloudfront.net/uploads/forum_attachment/file/153113/gw324.jpg
I don’t play an alt but have a lv3 mule. I deleted a few characters with the same name on the first day of headstart before settling on this one.
I have done 49 and 50 and those new archers, in two groups, exist in 50 only.
Also there are fewer friendly vets so fights take longer after patch.
Edit 2: I finally realized that I still had a couple of those special powers, Assisted Leap and the lighting one, when interacting with the goggles. So ending that transformation before using the goggles did fix it so I am out of the goggles transformation as soon as I step out of the water after jumping but I still haven’t received the achievement, even after trying about 20 times now.
I think the achievement is not available to the current LS (Bazaar of the Four Winds vs Festival of the Four Winds). I cannot get it neither.
Please see attached screenshot.
For now to undo aquatic weapons’ changes we have to click the Reset (all) button at the transmutation charges section, or to dig through the loads of skins and find the original one. It is a hassle if players have collected lots of aquatic skins.
I would assume aquatic headgear does not have an undo button neither, but I do not have another skin for testing.
Thanks in advance.
Number keeps adding up if you do not interrupt your auto attack.
I enjoy underwater combat as a mesmer. However, after the reveal of the next dragon, and the news about the removal of Raid on the Capricorn, I am sure that underwater combat improvement is at a very low priority on the to-do list.
There was a post at reddit about a exploit that you can get the end chest repeatedly in a dungeon and hit lv80 in no time. Maybe that’s it.
If you can skip, you can farm 3 bags every few minutes.
It’s not time-worthy probably, but you shouldn’t be able to do that in a completely safe environment.
The second time he ended up in an instance on the ship where he was the only player at all. So obviously that didn’t work out very well. :P (not the private instance, an overflow).
I experienced this once too.
My game client crashed mid-way through the hologram fight. Once I logged back in, I was in an airship in another overflow but I was the only player on the ship along with Kiel and Heal-O-Tron.
Judging from the mapchat, that overflow might have failed the 3 knights event so no one could get on the airship.
I’m still looking for Rahn. Maybe he’s one of the children from the children escort event but I haven’t looked closely.
The dead explorer in Troll’s End JP is missing too.
That’s a demo for what Evon Gnashblade sells you: Recipe: Maintenance Oil Station. Same for the other 2 stations in other camps.
I can’t seem to see it on his list…..
You have to finish the moa escort event from current LS first.
