Changed back or not I’m still worried it will happen again. 5 months of farming going straight for this rifle and they just come swooping in changing out the unique features and telling me to “enjoy”. Why do you think I even went for the Predator to begin with if I didn’t like the current blaster sounds and effects?
I want an actual response to why you are doing this. Changing out the purple effect for orange was ignorant enough. We’re not talking about some random 390 token dungeon rifle, this thing took me half a year to acquire because I wanted it for what it was.
Where is it that people are complaining about the Predator that is having you make these changes? Or is it something you are doing to “match the appearance”? The appearance is the worst part, the blaster visual and audio is what makes the weapon so unique. I will have to admit the weapon itself firing off blaster rounds seems a bit odd, it’d probably match better if it was attached to your arm and looked like Samus’s blaster. Of course everything regarding the look of the rifle is all a personal view of it and I won’t even back it up if someone argues with me(this part is extremely subjective and means little to me), everything else I said about the weapon still stands.
Yeah there is nothing in the notes about a Predator change or anything on wiki either. If by some chance it really does turn out to be intended then I’m going to be demanding they unbind it. I’m already annoyed enough I was forced to go to orange bolts.
I haven’t played my Warrior in maybe a week but I’m gonna guess this is an issue after the patch. Now whenever I shoot my Predator it makes this loud static noise instead of the blaster rifle noise.
I vote for an extra upgrade on yak escorts. It changes the two guards to the first 2 undead bosses you fight in path 3 Arah. Constant immobilize + Devastating blows. Or maybe a Risen Deadeye.
Earlier today I held KNBL’s Redvale for over 3 hours alone against several groups of 4-7 people with those “useless” upgrades(and a ballista). One donkey had nowhere to go so there was an extra set of lvl 82 vets there. If you leave the camp unguarded or don’t bother helping it when you see swords then yeah, those upgrades are useless.
Corrupt boon is just the greatest skill alive for me. I love playing my necro most in wvw for those moments when the d/d ele or boon guardian goes charging right at your group. You know who I’m talking about, those guys with insane armor and 24/7 protection so they’re use to just doing whatever they please and never dying. I love destroying that confidence.
That feeling when the Guardian pops save yourself and I convert it all, nothing beats it. Or the ele who buffed himself and starts channeling churning earth almost always has stability on so it’s a free fear before I fear him again.
Underrate me all they want, I’ll never stop loving my Necro. I did however get tired of conditionmancer she’s been like that since pre-release. I recently went d/f with all knight stats and it works surprisingly well. Just I kinda have no choice but to swap to staff on sieges.
From Michigan here and ever since the last patch I been getting crazy lag spikes. At one point I was d/c’d and thought nothing of it, but then an hour later the spikes started. Trying to escort donkeys in wvw and they just keep stopping, and when I get into fights I’ll be spamming my skills but they take 3 seconds to go off. Then I’ll be fine again for about 5min, and it comes back again for 30 more min.
I’ve tried multiple other games and dl’s but they were all fine. I’ll edit this tomorrow after I wake up to say whether it stopped or is continuing.
Edit: Alright just got disconnected again and immediately on logging back in the lag was there. That’s 2 for 2 on getting disconnected followed by lag.
If you want efficient dungeon runs, setup a guild to do so. Expecting a random pick-up group to full-fill your needs for a efficient task force is folly. A pug is for fun and meeting people.
Oh, and it’s a game, where people log on to have fun, enjoy themselves, chat with each other and sometimes take on a challenge, expecting all the people around you to focus on being ‘effective’ is a certain method to become frustrated.
People joining a pug should be able to accomplish whatever the lfg says. If it says speed run you better be able to run when it is called for. Doesn’t mean it has to be perfect, people can always have bad luck and die here or there. But if you join a speed run and then claim you can’t run while using some excuse like “pugs are for fun and meeting people”, then you are completely in the wrong.
That was a fun 3-way fight in Kain’s Garrison, I was there up until we portal’d onto the bridge. Then culling open hand smacked me for a good 10 seconds, I couldn’t see ANYBODY:(. Just spinning in circles shooting my rifle I had to look like a complete kitten When I started getting hit by invisible forces I was spamming endure pain but it wouldn’t go off, death soon visited me.
This has been brought up several times. People(including myself) wanting to transmute other armor classes for looks. Every single time it just turns into the same 3-4 people claiming it would unbalance the game because you couldn’t tell what you were fighting(lol). Or that it would be impractical for a Guardian to wear a skirt etc. etc.
Just do a hotjoin into battle of kylo. If the treb is destroyed just repair it and fire it before they destroy it again. If you can’t figure out how to repair it, youtube it. You don’t have to stay for the fight after you get this hint(a hint I do not remember at all).
I’m trying to remember which game it was that had 3-way fights like this where the underpopulated side would get npc reinforcements. I think it was Aion…? Or maybe RF online. I wonder if that would work in GW2, probably not though.

Changing armor skins is hardly redesigning the core of the game and completely changing up what makes Guild Wars 2…well… Guild Wars 2.
I’m pretty sure aesthetics is a very important part of GW2 for alot of people. Especially on my server with all the RP’ers. Also I wouldn’t consider any change small and insignificant if it was brought on through suggestions/complaints.

I don’t know though…I’m happy seeing it achieved on my log-in screen. It wasn’t as difficult as people make it out to be. I saved all t6 mats I got from day 1, and converted all 50 stacks of t5 into 6, and did CoF paths 1 & 2 once a day for ectos. Been here since august 25th and just got the pred a week or two ago.
So about 5 months to get one by just saving and not selling your mats to buy other things. Unless you’re in an absolute rush to fill out that achievement then yeah you’ll have to buy gems. Don’t forget they are doing that scavenger hunt thing for a precursor in a month or two so you won’t have to buy one, that cuts down tremendously on the amount of $ you need.

I cannot believe we still have reanimator. I had a long fight with a d/d ele and a warrior(naked with a g-sword) at the jumping puzzle a few weeks ago. I went to finish the ele but right before it finished him he killed that useless little reanimated pet I got from killing the warrior. Consequently Rallying the ele who ended up killing me instead. Coming from a legendary owner I still agree with most of that. Honestly the parts about legendarys that bother me the most is still the way-too-costly precursor(I think I payed 400g for the hunter at the time) and mystic clovers.
I don’t gamble in real life, I HATE gambling. The fact that I was forced to do RNG is still a thorn in my side even after I completed it.
People claim that changing the precursors would be an insult to those that bought them for profit purposes and those that acquired legendarys the hard way. I don’t know if others with legendarys will share my view but I whole heartedly endorse changing precursors to something quest related. So what if I blew 400g on a broken system? I don’t know if it sounds odd but I wouldn’t feel insulted in the least if it changed.
Probably a meaningless question but do they have any intentions on allowing predator users the ability to go back to purple? Like how you can check off shoulders/helm. The footprints and aura around myself is great and all, but I don’t care for the new bullets color.
Not anymore it got taken on CD. I was only able to get it done on 2 out of 3 of my characters before it got taken. Event conveniently started(and lost) as I got there on my last char and now I’m short 12 shards.

I would actually like some advice as well. I’m a rifle user and I was doing the jumping puzzle a minute ago but ran into a Guardian, I did my best to CC him(bolas, rifle butt etc.) but in the end it was all pointless because his 24/7 retal pretty much did the job for him. Not to mention whenever he immobilized me to use his 2 with scepter, shake it off kept removing the kittening vuln instead of the immobilize so I had to eat the entire thing twice.
I’m basically asking what I should do in that situation. That retal is just killing me and I have no way of removing it.
I do some pretty good damage with kill shot but I’m not full on glass cannon. It ranges from 9k-14k for me in wvw. I’m using The Hunter which is zerker stats and then all my trinkets are zerk, but my armor is all soldier stats. Not to mention I only have 10 points in strength for the adrenaline dmg boost. I am using superior divinity runes which is a nice 10% crit bonus. If you went full on zerker with on my mark that would be some insane damage to glass cannons.
For skills no matter what I always use For Great Justice(I highly doubt this will ever leave my skill bar, it’s just too useful), and then the Bolas. As a whole Bolas are just great in wvw for completely screwing one person unless his purges are off cd, but with a rifle build it’s a must to me. Throw the Bolas → Kill shot. Otherwise anyone who sees you charging up at them is just gonna dodge it.
You could always use On My Mark before you shoot for an extra 10%. Personally I still don’t quite know what to do with my 3rd skill slot. For awhile I was using bulls charge just cause sometimes I could prevent people from finishing teammates and it’d give me 2 seconds to revive them. But half the time they have stability on anyways making it pointless, so I’m still looking for a good 3rd skill that works with me. Odds are I’ll just end up with Shake it Off since it’s all around useful.
This is all assuming you even PvP at all. You could be asking about PvE only which makes almost everything I’ve said useless.
Before the 28th will everyone’s que to change worlds be reset? I’m asking because I moved on the 21st to a EU server called ganadara from TC so I could access the balth temple. My que won’t be up till the day of the patch. I’m basically asking if anyone who moved within a week of the patch is screwed.
…I really wish I knew that guild influence was by server. I would’ve used my karma upgrades/jugs/vials before moving. This move was utterly worthless now and I blame myself for not checking. More like why the hell is it by server anyways, I’m still in the kitten guild and personally earned it a ridiculous amount of influence.
If you don’t care about advancing in fractal levels and just want the monthly you could keep resetting fractals till you get an easy one. Like the dolphin one or the cultist hammer.
Nothing would be greater if everyone came together and refused to put in buy orders above what it was before Scarface decided to play god with the T6 mats. Nothing left for him to do but cry himself to sleep.
Of course that’s impossible. There are already thousands of buy orders way higher than they were before this started. At least half of them is the perpetrator, his buy offers are way too obvious with the huge increments from the last.

I just got the Tortured Root about 6 hours ago in TA. Honestly when I saw that a recipe dropped I thought nothing of it, figured it’d be worthless. But about 30min ago I finally learned it after passing it to my engi(yes they are account bound like you thought) and saw the ridiculous profit margin I have now changed my mind. It was definitely not worthless. Needed about 80g more to finish The Moot, thanks to this drop it’s going to go much faster now.
I pray Horheristo is wrong when it comes to people buying them. I’m almost done with the moot and gonna put it up for 1500. I saw a buy order for 1300 about a week ago and decided after 4 months of work to just sell it and make another.

When dueling was brought up did they by chance mention how it would work? I’m just wondering if an 80 can duel a 50 and it lowers the 80 to level 50 to match him.
No, it has not happened. When I gave my Energizer example, there were 20 listed that could have bought out for roughly 900 gold. While some were listed for as cheap as 25gold, the opposite end of the spectrum had others listed for nearly 100 gold (there were only like 2 in this category). If manipulation was in play, I asked why haven’t ALL of them been bought out and relisted for 200 gold each? As we see, that hasn’t happened, and still hasn’t happened.
All that occurred was that the two cheapest (25g) forefront Energizer’s inevitably got bought up, thus bringing forward the next in line which were minimally higher priced ones (50g), no surprise here, that is how the TP works, this is not manipulation.
If the whole stock (18+ Energizers) disappeared and reappeared for 200 gold each, then this theory might have more credibility. Until then, its unsubstantiated speculation and guessing.
Most of what you claimed didn’t happen is exactly what happened except they were put back on for 60+ instead of 200. Apparently it has no credibility if they aren’t 200g? If you still see this as guessing and speculation then…..well, I really don’t know what to say to that.

Could a woman build her strength enough to fight in heavy armor with a metal weapon? Yes she could. Could a woman run across rough terrain for many miles in heavy gear? Yes she could. Obviously, she’s not going to gain the physical strength of a male two feet taller then she, and twice her weight—but she doesn’t have to. The physical abilities required of a fighter are within the reach of both females and males.

I know that the tribal gear doesn’t exist in pve, they for some reason removed it when the game launched. If the wearer holds completely still. Even the game’s physics acknowledge breast movement. With that amount of support, or lack thereof, there will be lots of edges and pointy bits digging into her flesh when she moves at a brisk walk. I don’t even want to think of what might happen during a dodge roll.

if you wish to play a game like that – there’s Tera. i do not wish for GW2 to go that way. there are already a number of female gear sets that have threaded and passed that fine sexist line….. mesmer “introduction” set sprouds to mind the garnet one with puffy skirt…caster starter set for all light armor professions with corset and mini skirt….that weird light armor set with 2 strategically placed holes in the back of a skirt to bring a rare-view to a player and show off character’s underwear (honestly, who thought this was a good idea?)

Dodging the argument and going for personal attacks, how very cliche. Fortunately you don’t get to decide what’s minor and what isn’t for those that are bothered by the change. And that’s exactly what it comes down to, it’s a CHANGE.
I’m not sitting here complaining about TA’s heavy not being revealing enough, I’m upset that an already implemented design was changed to satisfy some whiners. In the end all I’m doing is whining too, but apparently that’s enough to get graphical changes to armor.
I’m almost always using the tool kit in wvw. There’s just something about that 1200 range pull and beating people with crowbars that I can never get enough of. Not to mention that 3second block is always useful, coupled with switching back to pistol/shield if you still require more blocking/confusion.
There were people that were….offended(???) by the beta armor? Like actual living human beings with the ability to think for themselves?
This is so bizarre I really don’t know what to say to this. Cosmetically preferring the new version I could completely understand, it’s all subjective after all(I prefer the beta version however). But to be offended, I just can’t get my head wrapped around this. Can someone who was “offended” explain their reasoning to me?
