I got a bugged transaction earlier… 127 mithril sold but didn’t get the money and the mithril is gone… And now I can’t sell anymore… Sigh…

lol.. i listed around 180 ancient wood logs, (worth around 10g) and it got lost in the void too it seems :P

I guess it’s just bugged and we’ll have our money in the “Pick Up” tab once they fixed it.

It would be really nice to be able to emulate the “start” button so people can take a break without the need to finish the zone. Going AFK can be dangerous inside the box.

You need to have the ticket in your inventory and the NPC will offer you a new dialog option to buy them.

Stones are 40 gems/each at the most expensive… I expected splitter to be around 100 gems and may be 25 for 2000 gems but currently it feels like a bad joke worthy of the cheapest f2p out there…

Mule and guild vault can’t be used for soul/accountbound items and with all “living story items”(Marjory book, Sanctum model…) it feels really stupid to have such low limitation in bank storage anyway. It’s an easy way for anet to get more money.

You can use mules for account bound items. I have one mule and that’s all it’s carrying.

Yes mule have issue only with soulbound items. The point is if you keep an item it’s to use it even rarely but to do that you need to have it handy(bags or bank). Oh and why the hell whould I need mule in a “next gen mmo”? Particularly when they sell bank slot for cash, why is there even a limit(some people have 40 chars so why not 40 bank slots?)? It’s 2013, the game is out for one year now and yet these kind of detail are still an issue to many and make it feels like half-baked…

I would just like to be able to MANUALLY TARGET enemies which is IMPOSSIBLE with all the names obstructing targets.

Yeah I have this issue too, I don’t get why we can even target ally while in combat… This makes no sense.

On the subject, so is everyone really enjoying playing like this?

Yes permanent tonic would be a lot better or at least 15 min transformation but 5 min with 30 min CD is very cheap. I guess we’ll see infinite “permanent” tonic in gem store soon… sigh…

Without culling the game kinda feels like a text based rpg. Hidding names option isn’t enough since you’ll see the name of people while they are loading on your screen also enemy in WvW once dead have their name pop back up…

It’d be very nice to have an option to display a symbol instead of a name above player/enemy, different from the dead/down one but it’s the same idea.

It’d be nice to have a symbol above our own character so we can easily find him in the middle of others…

Please free some screen space so we can enjoy the great graphics.

I don’t even get why living story has to be temporary….

Can’t we have like i don’t know like a Living Story window where we can select LS events from the past so when you enter an area it’s setup with the LS content you selected in the menu and you can simply enjoy it when you got time even a year later… It’s not like the personal story timing makes much sense compared to the rest of the world….

Anyway they should really rethink about the every 2 weeks we release new cheap/temporary contents and move to every 2-3 months we give you epic new contents….

It’s describing why having your dominant arm free is actually something that has less to do with visuals and more to do with technicalities.

Oh right I see your point now. And in game any dual wielder can use the option to hide them if they like.

It’s more of a design thing that bothers me. I wondered if clipping would be as bad if they had gone the other way around. Also I like how it feels more balanced from an aesthetic point of view.

The reinforcement is on the shoulder opposite of the sword hand as that sword would be protection for that side whereas the other shoulder would be a direct attack point for an adversary (who was same-handed as you) and more difficult to protect with your sword. Shields are only necessary if your armor hinders your movement abilities or projectiles are part of your local battlefield or if your army is made up of amateurs.

Hmm reinforced shoulder don’t hinder that much movement and were designed to protect the head because if your attack fail this side is wide open with no protection at all beside this shoulder and anyway it’s harder to defend yourself with a sword than with a shield. While on the shield side well you have a shield which makes it hard for your opponent to land any dangerous blow…

Anyway beside the historical/practical debate I wondered if from a design point of view it wouldn’t makes thing easier. For example Gladiator armor from gw1 see attachement.

I have this issue with armor having only one reinforced shoulder like female human heavy vigil armor, the new pheonix light armor…

Why is it always the left shoulder that is reinforced when you can have a shield there? Since you can only equip shield on left arm, reinforced shoulder should be on the right one. This brings a lot of clipping issue with shields and even faces for greatsword bearers. Are they worse clipping issues on the right shoulder? Like with stowed 2 handed weapons?

I believe historical armor used to have reinforced shoulder on the side not wearing the shield when they only had one, right?

For people who worry about making a mistake they may simply add an option to have a confirmation message when you spend more than Xgold where you can set X to whatever amount you like in the option.

A simple option for commander to decide who see the tag like: party only, squad only, guild only, all map… And a color option too… Would be a great step forward. There’s so many way to improve the current system and yet after one year nothing has been done

The numbers for Guild Wars 2 just don’t seem to make much sense.

Well numbers aren’t supposed to make sense by themselves, you are suppose to make sense out of them. So here’s a possibility, there’s alot of people connecting but not playing much. Since we know there’s many people playing a lot I think it may be due to daily and such making many people just login for like 10min in order to do quick daily then log off….

No Mystic Forge so people go to LA because they use to have easy access to everything.
Often when I decide to get to the nearest city I end up having to go back to LA because of the forge and it cost me more money(even if not much) unless I’m willing to fight through loading screens…

There’s fractal too… Having dungeon in each city would help. As pointed out SAB gave real life to Rata Sum and it was great.

And WvW asura gates too… So most people coming out of wvw end up there too.

Anyway looks like there’s hope for Divinity’s Reach in the next Living Story.

I don’t like that it’s mostly cheap/quick content, it’s never polished and introduce bugs every new LS. It still takes team a lot of work and time with new maps, mini games and such just to end up with a cheap LS update every 2 week. I’d rather have a much slower pace with quality content a minimum polished like every 2 month.

Weapons before Professions

I like the idea of new weapons a lot, like melee staff warrior or dagger warrior, rifle and pistol for ranger. Hammer, sword even bows for engineer, GS for elem and necro, the list goes on and on…
May be some unusual dual wielding like dual wands or dual focus.
Anyway lots of possibilities, I hope they have some nice surprise in stock for us.

Only time will tell how this will end but people should realize that comparing sentinel/celestial against giver is wrong because giver isn’t very sought after but you can see that sentinel which enough people seem to like is going up in price and you can wonder when will it stop? Or in other words when Anet will decide that sentinel is needed back in game? And how long until we see another recipe for celestial food?

Celestial armor/weapons won’t have exactly the same issue since quartz will have a steady supply(even if low) but recipe is another story and they may very well end up very expensive due to the interest people have in celestial stats.

And yes sure these stats aren’t gone, they’ll probably be back but until then it’s kinda frustrating for new players or even returning players who missed on those stat that they don’t have access to the same stuff as others.

Ok sorry I shouldn’t have mentioned the word pay2win, it was just a way to express thing… I should have said it’s “Pay to have a different game experience” but it’s not limited to cosmetic and that’s what bothering me.
Sure as I said it’s only small stat difference, it’s not game breaking and not giving a huge advantage but diversity still gives you a very small advantage and having it’s access limited isn’t a good thing.
By the way I’m not crying, I’m just wondering what others think about that.

It was fine for halloween and christmas because there was high mats supply and low interest in those stats…. But now with sentinel stuff, celestial food and armor it’s getting stupid.

What is the point of trying to balance a game if you’re going to unbalance it with limited access to some stats. Dont get me wrong, limited the way Ascended items are limited is fine(time gate), I don’t like it personally but it’s fair to everyone.

Now the way sentinel and celestial items are brought in game is the worse design ever, because it’s not fair, no casual player not forking real cash in the game can have any hope in getting those except in a very long time. Sentinel has become crazy expensive and celestial food recipe isn’t available anymore… I’m not sure how they’re going to handle celestial items but it sure feels like it’s going the sentinel way all over again.

Don’t forget that people can fork cash in the game and not just in the shop, Anet decided that people should be able to change cash in gold which makes the line toward pay2win very fuzzy and easy to cross, lots of other shop decided it was better to have 2 prices, one for cash and one for gold with no direct conversion, but with the current system people can buy gold directly with cash and concerning the state of items like sentinels on Trading Post it makes the game “leaning” towards pay2win because only “dedicated player” and casual who invest money will get them while most casual who don’t put cash in the game can only dream about it ending up with a disadvantage.

To make it clear I don’t mind that people can turn cash into gold but for it not to become pay2win you need to watch the market very closely and any useful non cosmetic item(armors, weapons, foods…) getting to expensive on trading post should be dealt with by either puting back the item in game or introducing new equivalent.

So NO it’s not a pay2win game “yet” but it sure feels like update after update the game is slowly taking that direction. And yes stats sure don’t make everything but limiting their access slowly but surely with each update unbalanced the game more and more.

So what do people think? Am I completely wrong? Do you feel the same? Whatever?

PS: I’m more interested to know what people think about limited access to stats, don’t make this a pay2win thread only please. And thanks.

Downed is ok but rally shouldn’t exist in wvw. People can rez and it’s ok but rally is a bad design for wvw at least.

I don’t lose my targets anymore since last patch but sometimes I drag the map instead of moving the camera. It would be nice if we could have an option to disable right-click to interact with the mini map, left-click already does this and is enough.

Short Server Names

Is that abbreviated server name discussion stil going on? (Ex: Sanctum of Rall Footman[AABB] = SoR Footman[AABB]) Can we expect that happening any soon or it’s out of table for some reason?

I’d like something like this: <SoR> [AABB]
without any rank(which is displayed when you select a player) to keep it short.
Ideally we would have an option to show/hide rank, name, guild tag and an option to display server name normally or abbreviated.

The Commander Problem

May be they could simply add an option to hide the commander icon when you right-click on it, this way anyone can simply hide icons they don’t want to see. As a side effect it will help people trying to follow their commander when there’s more than one.
The upvote downvote idea is like you said too much open to griefing or manipulating votes…

Different color for superior siege blueprints

I’m not sure what I mean is clear. I’m speaking about blueprints color not the actual siege weapon color so we don’t have to mouse over in the inventory to check if it’s a superior or regular.(I’ll edit my post to make it clear).

The issue is not about tier it’s about game design, number of players on wvw maps should capped to what the server can handle.

It’s a simple change that would be useful for wvw player always looking for which one siege is regular or superior version in their inventory. Make them like green, red, pink…. whatever but please give them a different color from regular ones. Since you’ve already done it for guild siege blueprints(yellow) it shouldn’t be that hard.

I don’t know if it’s a bug but right now i can’t select targets anymore with either left or right-click only right would have been enough but this is so nice to never lose my target I hope it stay like this.
