So, we have a fair idea of where the story is going, we’ve discussed and criticized what went wrong with it, we’ve debated as to what we want for the plot of the setting.
Now then, what do you say is priority for LS Season 2 to “add” to the game, features wise, game play wise, additions wise.
My List for this would be:
- New weapon types (possibly, crossbow might be nice, and great axe)
- More weapon options for current classes, e.g. Engineers with Maces/Hammers, Necro’s with Longbows!
- New WvW Siege Weapons, Siege Methods and a balancing system for future 2v1 situations.
- More, PvP, Game, Types.
- Possible feature, Raid Zones, designed for Zergs of players against the most powerful Foes Tyria has to face with great loot drop rewards (Think Southsun, only better implemented).
Those are content, not features.
I agree with a lot of the things above. in addition
Playable Tengu / open dominion of winds.
New maps, maybe Maguma wastes, or the ruins of Deldrimore (would make a great spot for a new dungeon)
Some progress on getting ready for the next Elder dragon campagn. It’s been over a year since my main character defeated Zhaitan and he’s starting to wonder when the pact is going to get back to work!
Maybe involve guild halls in the rebuilding of Lion’s Arch? the guild missions to unlock it could involve helping with reconstruction.
More content, and not features.
I second a lot of this, I believe that they should really bring in new weapons (Great Axe, Scythe, Spear (on land), etc) and I also believe that each profession should be able to use more weapons (I want my Ranger to be able to use a rifle.
I agree with new maps. I, being an old GW player, really want Cantha back but realistically there is still so much for them to doing on Tyria. Bring in Maguuma, show me the Isles of Janthir, let me go into the old realm of the Kodan, or even the Crystal Desert.
Playable races: Tengu, Kodan, Largos, really anything. I would love to see some more options coming into play and those would be great when introducing new playable areas. And with that new professions.
Guild Halls: I would love guild halls. I actually posted a little thing (not so little, more tl;dr) about how even if they did guild halls for sale in the gem store I would buy them. I also talk a lot about random other stuff too “here”.
Oh look more people confusing content with features.
I’d go on, but almost everybody says the same stuff. Content are not features, and features are not content. Content adds to a game, while features improves the current gameplay. Southsun Cove was content, while the new achievement system was a feature. Learn the difference.
Lack of Security Measures and to fix it.

Since the megaserver has rolled out the gold sellers have increased exponentially, as well as accounts that have been lost to them. Now typically in an mmo setting this would call for the developers to come up with better and greater security measures. I’ve always been satisfied with ANet, until now. Instead of talking about what they can do to help us, the players, they are telling us it’s our fault that specific accounts are being targeted with password bots, offering one time rerolls.
Now while we can always reset our passwords and have the mobile authenticators, it is clear that this is not good enough, and ANet from what we’ve seen isn’t doing much. You’re driving away honest and dedicated players to the game, and will continue to do so until the gold seller problem is dealt with. Currently the gold sellers are winning, and are not showing any signs of stopping. My accounts (I have multiple) within the last hour has had 5 password reset requests from people that are not me. This concerns me greatly, that while I have what I believe to be a strong password, but that with a simple bot it could probably be hacked into.
Now how could this fixed? Well for starters we can look at Gw1. In Gw1 you had to enter one of your character’s names to log in. While a seemingly simple fix, it was efficient and worked from what I had seen. I would love for this to be implemented, atleast to be optional to log in (Activated in account settings). But more specifically, why not have a set char name that could be entered? This would effectively slow down bots and also help prevent them. By having a set character’s name that would have to be put in, we could have “security characters” whose names would be absolute gibberish and would never be played, and could effectively be second passwords.
ANet needs to take action if they don’t want to lose a significant amount of their playerbase, because as it stands I saw maybe around 10 gold sellers in the ~1 hour I was online yesterday, which is a large upscale from before the megaserver. And every single one of them looked like a lost account, not a name of gibberish.
It’s a two way street, ANet, yes players do need to have more complex passwords, maybe use the mobile authenticator, buy you too need to help by atleast giving us more optional security options, such as the simple one from Gw1, and that would help many players in protecting their account and securing a safe future for the player base.
This thread might be locked or deleted, but that’s only avoiding the issue ANet, and making you look weak as an MMO. Action needs to be taken, more security measures need to be had, instead of yelling at the players to have stronger passwords and then hiding behind a closed thread.
It’s been about two years since ANET had a facebook poll about Guild Wars 2 t-shirts, and that the top picked would be added to the shop or something. You can view a picture of the shirts here: http://www.mmorpg.com/photo/45def1d4-0ad7-4083-8022-da18e5d89a1c
Now frankly, I’d kittening buy all of those, atleast the Lifestyle Logo shirt.
Last year there was a thread about this (https://forum-en.gw2archive.eu/forum/game/gw2/Whatever-happened-to-the-t-shirts), and of course we got the trademark “soon.”
Anyways, I’m hoping we can get this actually soon. Not “A few years soon”, but with a month or so. So Arenanet, can we please get these soon? Have they even been looked into since that post?

I’m going to smash something if I have to see the cutscreen again.
Half of the time, It won’t even let me target Scarlet and use a finisher on her.
EDIT: First attempt after posting this, I got the achieve.

NO. I would quit Gw2 if they added mounts, and I know plenty of others that would too. Gw1 was perfectly fine without mounts, and so is Gw2. Take your mounts back to WoW.
Happening to me aswell.

Clearly my internet is fine too.
What will happen to the expensive exotics?
in Super Adventure Box: Back to School

I’m wanting to know, as we’re now getting a new tier of weapon, what will happen to the ‘expensive exotics’ (Some players call them Pseudo-legendaries) such as Aether, Mjolner, Volcanus, Vision of the Mists, etc. Those exotics take a hefty amount of materials and money to create, I think it would tick off a portion of the Guild Wars 2 playerbase if their 1000g Mjolner suddenly isn’t up to par with the top tier anymore.

I’m just wondering if anybody has noticed a specific order in the invasions, I’ve only played it in spurts, so I haven’t been able to notice one..besides that Blazeridge has been up three times throughout the times I’ve been online.
If there is an order, what is it?
Meet Vaan Helrain, human thief.
It’s a mixed OoW/TA/CoF set. I’m still working on the dyes.
It’s OoW hood. CoF shoulders and gloves, and the rest is TA. The shortbow is Aether. If anybody can figure out a good dye set to go with this, that’d be awesome.
Lately I’ve been doing TA and CoF Exp for Tokens (Working on armor). Of course you get 60 tokens per first completion of the path. I’ve heard that you can also do another path for 60 (I thought it was 20), or do the same path on another character for 60. So can somebody clear this up for me?

Show me fool who will spend money for this:-D
I don’t have a screen, but somebody on my server (Northern Shiverpeaks) bought 500, and gave them all to Kiel (ew).
i dont like the start at all its just a frag fest of noobs firing headshots and meleeing for no reason while legit good players try to gather stuff and run for their lives, here should be multiple spawns at start nvm a circle
i have never seen any1 with your second issue
Seems multiple people on the forums are having the second issue.
https://forum-en.gw2archive.eu/forum/livingworld/cutthroat/Bug-in-Southsun-Survival
I’m just exaggerating, but there are two big things that need to be fixed/improved.
First of all, what is with the character spacing at the start? It’s obviously supposed to be an evenly spaced out circle..except that there are four players (Including myself) in one space, with some other spaces clearly empty.

Secondly, I entered a match, and was giving [Immobile]..when the match was already in progress. This wouldn’t have been so bad if somebody would have killed me, but instead I got kicked for not being “active”

So uh, anybody else getting these “bugs”, or some others?
Warrior – Polearm, Waraxe (2H Axe), Crossbow
Guardian – Spear (On Land ofc)
Ranger – Hammers, Daggers (Ranged), Crossbow
Thief – Scythe (I played Scythe Sin in Gw1), Shurikens
Engineer – Hand Cannon, Crossbow/Dart Gun of sorts
Elementalist – Polearm, Spear, Scythe
Mesmer – Spear
Necromancer – Scythe
No he doesn’t need to be redone, I found him particularly easy, just keep on trying, I got him around my third try.
If he is easy, would you mind posting an unedited, unbroken video showing you beating him three times in a row? This should be no problem if he’s easy.
Why would I waste my time doing that? To prove to some people who probably tried this once then quit that it’s possible? If you expect me to utilize my time like that, then first you upload a video of you trying twenty times against this guy, then I’ll do it. They already made him easier once, do you guys really lack this amount of skill? It’s not entirely luck, use your signature moves to your advantage.
He’s asking for evidence that Irongut is “easy”. If you are not willing to provide that evidence, it is reasonable to assume that you are lying.
Evidence? It’s an opinion. I defeated him on my third attempt, why would I lie about my own opinion? I’m not going to waste my time, nor do I have a computer capable enough provide decent FPS when recording, when I’m playing regularly I get 30fps If I’m lucky.

I’ve never posted on these forums before but this called for a log in, you’re either crazy or trolling if you think it requires skill, it’s pure luck.
Never has there been a more ignorant post, delete pl0x.
I’m not crazy, nor am I trolling. It took me just as many times against Adnul against Maddie. It requires skill, make use of your signature moves. I took him down when I only had one (Woo). What I did was bluff everytime I could possibly. Then, when he used his signature move, Critique, I used Belch first. Then for the remaining two I drank water and took a sip of the juice. I didn’t use it, but if you’re having so much difficulty, use “For Science!” or Boast. Either will help the health situation. There IS strategy to it.
I like how people beg for something different, something difficult, something that lasts more than a few days, and the instant people get something even slightly difficult, they come to the forums and start crying about it.
I have been thinking alot about the chronomancer, and time manipulation, wouldn’t that be our current mesmer?
And i think a summoner could work, that has a main focus on summons, like the ranger has their pets.
I would love to hear what Arena Net has to say.
Our current mesmer only has one skill that sort of manipulates time, Time Warp, and I’m sure there’s more to it than just making you attack faster and the enemy attack slower, I’m not sure how they had this worked out.
Summoner ~ Necro. Necros can ‘summon’ their own beings really, and do one little basic skill of theirs. I could maybe see Summoner with multiple minions with the ranger pet UI, but that’d be chaos with a lot of minions.
One of the main reasons they decided to make GW2 was to have the infrastructure to implement ideas that could not be handled in GW1 or EotN.
So it’s not very surprising to see that a concept that was unable to be implemented 5-6 years ago in GW1 was saved for GW2.
I’m still waiting for my chronomancer
True enough, but I’d like to see new ideas being used instead of old ideas.
However I 200% agree with Chronomancer, most badbutt class concept art ever.
I thought I’d like to point this out, I was browsing some old Guild Wars concept art when I stumbled upon this: (Link removed, use the bottom one and scroll down, you’ll know when you see it.)
Now that looks very similar to what we just got with the Bazaar of the Four Winds, right? Throw in a big air ship, and we have what we have today.
It’s from this post: http://www.conceptart.org/forums/showthread.php?t=108591&s=a18da586169abda776f8ac72218b6b94&p=1491500#post1491500
This post dates back about six years ago. So this means that they’ve possibly had an idea of this floating around for maybe about six years at least.
I’m wondering what the people think of this, so comments?

I believe if we see anything new soon, it will be a new race and/or a new weapon type. Of course we will most likely be seeing Tengu, as they already have a city, and space for their own 1-15 zone.
If we are going to be seeing any new weapon type, it won’t be new I bet. It’ll be an old weapon type that just never made the final cut, the Polearm (http://wiki.guildwars2.com/wiki/Polearm) there are already various in game models of these, including a PvP legendary.
If we were to see any new classes, there is slim to no chance of having ritualist or dervish making a come back. This is due to Engineer is pretty much ritualist, just from a technological standpoint. Ritualist can summon immobile spirits, while Engineer can place immobile turrets. Ritualist can summon these dropable ‘weapons’ of sorts, while Engineer has their kits that are weapons and their elixirs. Dervish on the other hand is based off of the human gods, so if we see dervishes, either they will be reworked heavily, or they will be a race specific class, which is still really unlikely, because if the add race specific classes, then there’s four other classes to add, along with the dervish. Paragon is iffy, as paragons specialized in support shouts and anthems, which can be seen in Guardian and Warrior to an extent. If there were to add any class, I’d like to see Chronomancer, a class they had planned for GW: Utopia (Concept art: http://wiki.guildwars.com/wiki/Category:Chronomancer_concept_art). Not only do these guys like pretty badbutt, but I believe (Not 100% sure.) that they had these guys already worked out for Utopia. Along with Chronomancer, they had Summoner, but that’s also a little iffy with Gw2, just a lot of other classes that can summon.
Flame legion is obviously the Citadel of Flame. The home of the Blood Legion would be in the Blood Legion homelands, around where Doomlore Shrine was I’d assume. Along with that the Ash Legion homelands are east of the Blazeridge homelands, I don’t know anything about names however.

While the evidence presented is hardly evidence at all, it was stated a while back by Colin Johanson that the first expansion most likely will either be Kralkatorrik or Mordremoth (He just refers to them as the Crystal dragon and the Jungle Dragon.) When it says dequip after one hour of usage, does that mean it disappears or what?
I’ve found three effigies, all in Gendarren fields, I didn’t see any in Bloodtide coast or in Lornar’s pass.
So I just bought 20 rich coffers and got one ticket. I wasn’t expecting guaranteed every time, but I was expecting maybe like 1 in 5, but nope. Somebody on my server claims they bought 50 rich coffers and didn’t get any tickets.
ANet promised a good chance of getting the tickets, this doesn’t seem like a good chance to me.
And why the hell isn’t any ANet staff members saying anything on this thread? They are obviously reading it, why can’t we have a little support? Seriously, this is probably the largest thread about the Dragon Bash, it’s all people raging about how screwed up the RNG is. Can’t we get a word from anybody in staff if they are going to do something about this?
Did you try clearing out your inbox? If it has too much mail in it (usually 10+ letters) it will hold new messages in a queue until they have room.
I feel so stupid now, thanks, that worked.
A couple days ago I bought 2000 gems, due to character slots being on sale, and I bought two. After that I had some gems left over, and I bought a Consortium Mobile Crafting Station and a Southsun Supply Crate. I quickly regretted buying these two items, because I realized that I didn’t really want these, however I would have accepted that, but I never got the items. I never got them in the mail or anything.
I submitted a bug report, but nothing ever happened, so I’m bringing it to the forums, I’d really just like my gems refunded, and I don’t see the problem in doing so because I never got the items.
Thanks for your time.
EDIT: To clarify, I did get the character slots, I didn’t get the two items, I want a refund for the two items in Gems.

I know this is about four months old, but the bug is still there, I just got it, and at the northern part of Bloodtide Coast as well, nowhere else.
I am digging the new auto-play on the launcher.
You know that’s been there since beta, right?
I know there will be no dragons, but will there be any more explorable maps added throughout this story arc?
Oh and, when will we return to the elder dragon storyline?
