Is it just me or did they “secretly” remove the evasion from Pistol whip? the tool tip isn’t there anymore… Not sure but I just realized trying to do my usual pve stuff and found that I still kept getting damaged while using the skill :/

Let’s all be honest here.. If other classes didn’t have cooldown on their skills i.e. warrior eviscerate or 100b they’d be spamming it too since those are hella strong in terms of damage… keep spamming boys and gals

Not sure if this was posted yet, but yeah me and some guildies noticed that bug is back again after yesterday’s patch it’s very annoying in pvp and wvw you randomly get stuck unless you use a movement skill or emote… It’s when we use leap skills, blinks, strafing, dodging please fix this again..

Experience with thief: Well I got 5.3k hours on one of my thieves (I got 3 atm) been playing since September 2012, played with most thief builds, exclusively steps out from wvw/spvp just to do cof/coe/arah for zerk stuff to gear other thieves.. blah blah can I join now?

I crafted my Thief to 80 in a day, bought a zerker set and jumped right into WvW with D/D.
I’m by no means an elitist or think I’m above average, but I can honestly say I have still barely died to this date.

You have so much stealth that you can heal any raw damage dealt in no time, you also have a ton of escapes and evades.

After the recent patch I moved 30 points from Critical Strikes into Deadly Arts.
With this build you heal roughly 600 health every second in stealth. You really don’t need toughness.

With the WvW bonus, 25 stacks of Bloodlust and Revealed Training trait, you’re pushing 3.2k power BEFORE Might.

Please be a troll.. because if not I’ll just call that build stupid i’m sorry but DPS thief with nothing on Critical Strikes is dumb…

I do understand your build. Your choice of Rune of Air and high toughness tells me that you want to get hit to trigger the lightning strike. Judging from your skill choices, you have the stealth only as a backup strategy, not the main one, and you don’t plan on staying in stealth longer than necessary.

However, the problem with Rune of Air is that the lightning strike can trigger when being hit with an AoE and it spell trouble while you’re in stealth because it will reveal you.

But I think it will work out well if you know what you’re doing.

Yes I do not plan on remaining in stealth for a long time unlike d/p or even d/d stealth everything on utility thieves I stay aggressive and can take the damage dealt to me I have been running this build for only a week or so and I have won against 1v2 even rare 1v3 situations against 2 warriors and a d/p thief… and yes there are times that lightning strike while im in stealth ruins it but that is my error since I usually use my stealth after the lightning strike as I time the cooldown for it properly and so far its been good to me so im sticking with this since im not really with the meta of strength runes with valk/zerk armors and lightning strike is very good since even if im running away getting hit by ranged opponents I can hit them for 5k~6k crits when it triggers I turn around CnD BS burst dead!

I used air since its cheap and it makes up for the loss of ferocity due to the switch of armor I know theres also rune of rage but I used air for the swiftness duration and swiftness on heal since the cd for withdraw is pretty short and I get enough fury when I roam with a group…. the only downside to this imo is when you get hit while in stealth and lightning procs due to it being 50% chance so you’ll have to start counting when your foe gets struck by lightning which I have already adapted to so I dont get revealed…

So I have been playing around with my thief for a while but t1 right now has been a zerg fest so I was thinking on how to retain high damage along with having decent hp and armor even with the past critical damage/ferocity nerf I found this setup pretty good having 2.2k power 2.6k armor 15k hp and 215% on critical damage…

Yes, she was naked and i had the buff but she was also level 80.. One of the screens have her on the group, I invited her to group because she kept coming back and asked her if she wanted to test out if I could go farther than 28k but sadly the other team’s zerg came so we didnt get to do it :/

IMO thieves/mesmers using stealth for stomping is viable… why? because it was part of the game from the start, people need to realize that this is not a problem and need to accept they got outplayed, downed, and finished in stealth….

All I can say is LOL at this thread and all who agreed with it…. 1st of all stealth stomping doesn’t mean we cannot be interrupted AND we can still be damaged.. 2nd engi, ele, warr, guard can stomp uninterrupted and unscathed via shrink potion, mist form, stability even invulnerability… sooo before you guys complain about stealth stomping check on other classes that don’t use stealth.. I myself use shadowstep instead of stealth for stomps you might want to nerf that too eh?

I’m pretty sure 1 guy wont impact that server that much if he chooses a t1 server let him be…

Like the title says… After that new build for a fix on that sprint i tried logging in it crashed before the character loading screen even shows I tried restarting my pc but it still kept crashing….

I’m glad there is finally an official statement regarding this. Everyone knows this problem is especially related to players from different time zones playing while the locals are asleep, particularly across the Atlantic. The proper way to solve this problem is by recognizing, as the above quote from Devon Carver does, that there is a time for sleeping — an “end of the day”.

As such, WvW should close down at the end of the day, local time. European servers should close at night, European time (e.g. CET), for 9 hours, and so should the American servers, at their local time.

Make it so the less you run with the more mf you have. Example say solo you get 200% mf then with each other person you lose 10% till you hit 20 people and you get no bonus. This will helo with rewards as well for running small man teams. Thoughts?

If I were to change a certain signet * cough* Signet of Wrath * cough* to change passive to 25% speed same as thieves and rangers please do… I know alot of guardians don’t run with staff and retreat would understand this…..
