As far as crafting ascended being part of vertical development for your character, it’s bogus. Min-maxing is only worth while if there is harder content to push toward. We haven’t seen any real girthy content in.. well, since the original fractals was released.

I don’t know, I’ve leveled 8 characters to 80, geared each one out in several exo sets with various ascended trinkets and weapons, and yet I still find nothing to do, and no real reason to do it.

I wvw and with my combined ranks I’ll be close to 1000 once they merge. I have no need to pve because I have all the current gear/skins I need. There hasn’t been any new skins that were available non gem-store until ascended came out, and frankly, it’s not my cup of tea.

There’s ultimately nothing to do, and no reason to min-max anymore.

Oh, I could farm the same world bosses I’ve been farming since pre-launch, same with the dungeons. For chests and drops of vendor trash. I could farm champions or stay on the same maps of WvW we’ve been on since pre-launch (even though bloodlust changed the map slightly, it’s the same bs as the orbs of power).

I could max all crafting, but why bother? There’s no “need” for better gear for the same old boring content. Living story is like a plate full of hors d’oeuvres and no main course, a poor excuse for an amuse bouche.

I need content, sustainable, permanent content. New wvw maps, new dungeons, more non-gemstore gear skins. I NEED more. Plain and simple.

NA ones haven’t come out yet.. but.. did you really expect anything more than garbage? Honestly? They wouldn’t do that, you have to buy that from the gem store.

Laurels would have been at least nice, you know the equivalent for a monthly etc.

I agree with you, I’m not going to knock so much on those that solo, because hopefully, it is a time consuming challenge, and some of the videos I’ve watched really do suggest that. I also agree with your point of having multiple player roadblocks. Maybe increase the roadblock difficulty with the amount of people, and adjust the rewards for solo players?

Fixing the sale of paths is the biggest issue for me, because of generally how that last boss slot was achieved.

Seems a very small percentile of the community has even spoken up here, so I will definitely contribute.

No, it’s not okay. Kicking people from an existing group that did the work to gain from the end boss is really really unsound.

Sadly I guess there no longer exists an invisible code of “ethics” we subscribe to where we don’t walk all over people for some change in our purses.

Perhaps the next time I hand a few gold to a new player I should expect a whisper asking why it wasn’t more.

Statements about paying for transfers to servers are so ignorant. Any server I’ve ever been on does this (from T8 through T1). Not just for WvW, but also for the PvE community. So to act like T1 is the only place this exists, is ridiculous, to act like your server is innocent of this, is also ignorant.

We’re a great community, we will always welcome people to share in our community, but trust me, asking for 8 hour queues, skill lag out the posterior, isn’t on the menu.

In HB we call 1-3 roaming, 4-7 havoc, 8-12 small scale and 13+ a fighting force. Seeing you call a 40 man EU group small scale, makes me wonder how many you aim to have in the least played timezone on NA servers?

40 can be considered “small” on an over-stuffed map. Especially when the T1 zergs are more-so the token “blobs” of 60-100ish players.

Hey, I’ll be the first to say that JQ and BG were working together for a bit near mid week as we were closing in 2K points away from SoR, but SoR made more lucrative offer about us not making second. C’est la vie.

To say this doesn’t happen, and to deny it, is a joke. It does, we all do it. We all know JQ/SoR/BG have cycled places for a while now. It can suck, but all is fair in love and war.

BG was the smarter playing here, each deal was made in their favour. Well played!

Bringing more people to WvW is a good thing. A lot of people are just too short sighted to realize this.

No, it’s not.

More players = more server lag (because Anet still hasn’t fixed this from day 1), it also means more people not paying attention to commanders, wasting supplies, hopping on seige w/o mastery when people are asking for masters only. It also bogs down queues because of all the people taking up space in the jumping puzzles.

I understand we shouldn’t tell others how to play the game, but this is seriously effect the game play of people who have committed to just WvW.

Oh, I’d like to say thank you to the two SoR I killed yesterday who gave me Black and Celestial unidentified dyes and the BG just a minute ago that I got Abyss off of.

Unlike JQ currently trying to accuse its competition of hacking (on a known issue caused by server lag) when they take the portals laid by hacking mesmers.

As someone who was there with that thief on teamspeak. He got stuck in the wall, and he couldnt port out because you guys kept putting him into combat. There was no mesmer involved in that situation, and any ports were done by mesmers who had gotten inside during any of the numerous flips SMC went through that they.

There was a a mesmer, it as an uplevel human female with the level 40ish karma gear skin (the skull and horns helm), different guild though, and there was lots of time while we were trying to figure out how to get to him (a group of us were there for a good hour) for him to get out of combat. So sure, he got “stuck” there.

You see how that sounds?

I’ve been glitched through gates due to lag (only twice since pre-launch) and had a friend get stuck underground once. Only time I’ve seen people stuck in walls is from repairs/troll mes portals. I’m not saying it can’t happen, but the reality of someone getting “stuck” in an interior wall in SMC and staying there for ages is unlikely, not utterly impossible, just unlikely.

EBG was just boring pve-esque karma train tonight. WTB people wanting huge 3 way fights like the beginning of the week.

i strongly suspect they make changes with data farming what people are playing actively, so with people finding strengths with certain classes, more people play them, so anet boosts them to cater to the face of the month players, vs fixing issues that have been around since day 1.

Rangers are amazing at solo combat or in havoc squads. If you want to be a mindless drone and zerg.. er.. pvd.. it doesn’t matter what class you play. Have traps and your aoe heal for blasts and gg.

noone is talking about roaming and 1v1 here and not everyone is mindless in a larger number. so when your keep gets attacked by 40 people u will need to fight them and there isnt a 1v1 gonna happen. ranges dont have much to contribute in these sitations. maybe a glassy one can stay all the way in the back and hoping noone sneezes on him, but that it. mesmers same. we are veil bots. technically if your group wants to push out of a keep to fend off the attackers all the mesmer can contribute, is the veil near the exit and then stand back and watch the fight. rangers can maybe stand on top and shoot, but if they wanna fight with the group and push out, they will have a very bad time.

Rangers can be tanky as anything, I have one, I have one of every class, and if you’re in tight large combat fights, you should be ON YOUR COMMANDER. They can cause cripples, aoe healing, condition removal, chills. If you just want to be lazy and zerker dps and mindlessly pvd, it matters not what class you play.

Just because other classes can be stronger in areas, doesn’t mean that rangers are useless in large combat fights. Do they need boosts, sure, so do many classes, but they’re still useful.

Now if you want to talk about GvG, they’re like large scale spvp battles, and teams are going to want specific classes for specific things, and that really isn’t related to wvw at all.

Engi, they’re the hardest to master and the most fun to play. A lot of their stuff needs some love but there’s the standard cookie cutter build and it’s effective.

There was a truce? I’m confused, lol last night all HzH and EMP did was push SOR garrison. LOL

Yup before i logged JQ and SoR had hit BG heavy on all maps we were down to 4 camps across all maps and 1 tower and 1 keep. So yup clear there was a truce since both servers hit BG at the same time on all maps. Normally JQ still lose out when they did passed truces with SoR, this time it was SoR that lost out and slipped to 3rd.

Dont believe i was talking about spys? I was talking about server’s making a truce to double team another server which is a legit WvW tactic. Maybe you dont understand this but thats fine.

Also if you’re seriously saying spying on other servers TS/map etc doesnt happen then you clearly dont WvW much. All servers have outted spys on there servers including people who have tried seige capping/ draining supplies to help other servers. Only last week BG finally got a guy perma banned for that, thanks to a dev spotting him walking lems off a cliff.

Relating one to the other is not saying one is the other.

As for a truce, considering all yesterday we focused mainly on SoR to push them below us, not seeing a truce there, now trying to keep BG towers paper is a smart tactic, not a truce. Now as for SoR focusing you, I can only guess they view you as the larger threat.

Awesome timing on wall upgrades on FA keep in EBG. Watching our zerg get split with half of them stuck in the wall was really amusing.

I know what I spend mine on regardless. Would be awesome to have an option to pay to change these on a regular basis, like respeccing our traits.
