That’s…Not how things work. I’m sorry my camp is so terrible at holding an argument.
If you’re replying to me, it’s exactly how things work.
If you spend your money without finding out what you’re buying, the only person to blame is yourself.
The fact that four specialisations don’t have the same weapon doesn’t change the chances of other professions possibly getting the same weapon. It’s just a pattern.
Table Warfare Miniatures - Armatures, Custom Miniatures, Moulds etc.
Id say the necro one comes close to the being ok like the warriors, i mean it does daze/interrupt apart from that, not much more.
Until you play necro for ages you really dont feel how valuable warhorn #5 is.
^——this.
necro Warhorn is valued!
Best melee off hand for Necro.
I would like to see the invocation line focus a little more on energy management. Traits like “Gain X energy on (condition requirement)”.
example:
-on weapon swap
-when affected by stun
-on legend swap (instead of starting at 50% at something like 75%)
-on successful dodge
-when you go under X%, gain X energy (with an internal cooldown)
-on crit, gain a buff that reduce the energy cost of the next skill by X%
-etc..

Note that the Revenant is the only class that can switch their skills #6-#0
You know this is why they have betas, right?
You feel that the revenant has low DPS. (You’re right) So you post and offer your opinion. The devs read your opinion and have a chance to change things.
You’re right, we are a long way away from completion. But isn’t it better to be able to say “The revenant’s DPS is too low” now while we are a long way from completion, and get it fixed before release, rather than getting your completed product, creating your new revenant, and being stuck with low DPS? That’s what beta tests are for.
A quick update on this one -> After feedback from presenting the original hero point count – we decided getting to level 80 will give you enough hero points to unlock all the core skills and traits entirely. Doing hero challenges (aka skill challenges) will simply allow you to earn all the skills/traits earlier before level 80. With the release of HoT, there will be options to spend the excess hero points earned from doing hero challenges in the world.
There are a number of other changes on 6/23 to make the experience from 1-80 more exciting, better-paced, rewarding, and fun as well after having the time to evaluate and player feedback from the updates last year.

I’m very sorry to hear of this loss. My heart goes out to his family, friends, and guild members. To know that his wife is facing health challenges at this time makes his death especially poignant.
I don’t know all of the plans for guild halls. But I think your suggestion has a lot of merit and I will be passing it along today in the hopes that this is something that we can add in the future.
Again, sincere sympathy on this sad event. Our hearts are with you all.

When in doubt, add “dulfy” to your google search for gw2 matters. It almost always leads you to something good.
Speaking of Dulfy and the new traits, this is also a great resource: http://dulfy.net/2015/05/02/gw2-specialization-calculator-that_shaman/

One baseless assumption after another.
1st: I play all game modes, WvW, Pve and sPvP. When you want to quote me, do it correctly. I wrote "Who cares about PvE anyways when it comes to discussing AI?
2nd: I don’t particularly care about warrior, nor guardian, nor ele. My main is engineer, and seeing turreteers in dungeons lets me cringe as hard as meeting spirit rangers there.
3rd: It doesn’t matter how good or bad spirits/turrets/minions/spirit-weapons are, they are targetable AI, hence mobs will eventually go after them, therefore they are terribad when you want to stack
4th: Rangers can set their pet on passive while stacking (and should do so) / Mesmers can spawn their clones inside the stack, therefore it’s not necessary to shun them out of Dungeons. Now if clones would run all over the place and pets would always be aggressive, that would be exactly the moment when I’d insta-kick both classes right away.Banners don’t draw aggro.
Spirits do.
Hence spirits will always be useless in PvE, regardless how over-buffed they get.
Period. To change that, a-net would need to completely redesign spirits, to become intargetable, unable to do direct dmg (which also includes applying condis, debuffing, interfering with foes in any manner), OR update their NPC-AI to not attack player-spawned AI per default, which would also open gates for AI builds in dungeons (even tho they’d perform horrible and then get hated for that when que’ing up, but w/e)
Please, they don’t need to do any of that; they just need to make stacking not work. Stacking isn’t how dungeons were meant to work, they’re not how the combat system was meant to work, and getting rid of it opens large amounts of build diversity.
The fact that minions can draw aggro doesn’t make a lick of difference if the mobs won’t clump for melee cleave or aoe cc, as long as they’re only drawing aggro after the players do. It can potentially become beneficial if they’re drawing away otherwise unavoidable damage because you can’t CC your targets and kill them before the CC wears off anymore. Minions, pets, spirits, and turrets drawing aggro is only bad because stacking and the current meta exists the way it does.

Where is promised challenging HOT content?
in Guild Wars 2: Heart of Thorns
Posted by: ColinJohanson.2394
Simply put: we haven’t announced it yet – when we’re ready to show everything about our plans for challenging content for HoT, we’ll announce it.
Though it isn’t the “challenging content” feature discussed in our announcement – I will add we want our open world content experience to be more challenging as well just in general. Though the AI was better in our CBT experience – we think we still have a lot of work to do to get our creatures and encounters even at the start of Verdant Brink up to where we want them to be. Our game has great combat, our creatures and encounters should challenge and require you to use that combat system.
More info “when it’s ready”.
Hey all,
A heads up: we’re adding an F2 button for the items that you (thieves) steal from enemies.
With the way that stolen items exist, it’s not always the best option to use your stolen item instantly, but often you have to dump it in order to gain access to Steal again. As a quality-of-life change, you’ll now steal from an enemy and see the stolen item in the F2 slot, while F1 will show Steal and its current cooldown. If you steal again without using the stolen item, it will be replaced/overwritten by the new one.
We weren’t able to show this on the core specialization livestream, but wanted to pass the message on so that it’s not just a bomb drop when the core specialization changes happen (when they’re ready).
Cheers,
-Karl
I’m not worried. Just because they make other gear stats viable doesn’t mean berserker will be any less so. Seriously doubt berserker will be replaced, anyway.
Please keep in mind that WE haven’t announced a release date, so any dates you see listed by retailers are just their placeholders, guesses on their part.

Just thought of something. Even if they want you to mix and match, elite specialisations are, for all intents a purposes, designed as a fully playable loadout, with a new weapon and 5 utilities, so that you can use them as advertised.
That will have to apply to the engineer, only engineers can’t swap weapons, which would mean that elite engies are again forced to use the same kits over their new shiny utilities.
Possible solutions:
1) A new kit. It would be similar to the Elixir Gun, so that the kit’s skills have their own type. Like a Shout Kit (obviously stupid example), whose skills are Shouts.
2) More powerful toolbelt skills that turn the toolbelt into a second utility bar. You might not have 10 weapon skills, but you have 10 utilities to work with.
3)Mantras
Yes, it’s somewhat weird, and Mantras are not fan-favourites, but they work thematically (you utilise devices/store energy instead of magic) and solve the above problem. Similar to the toolbelt suggestion, Mantras give you access to multiple charges you can spend throughout a fight so you effectively have more utilities to work with. At the same time, the toolbelt helps to alleviate the biggest problem with Mantras, as you still have a usable cooldown even if you run out of stored charges.
The trailer drones could be Mantra charges.

They did the best possible thing: they acknowledged that our PvE issues are an issue with the base profession and will not be fixed solely through specializations. This should have immediately made people realize they were on board with what was happening, this is better than expecting our specialization to be mandatory to “work”.
Hey all. Here are the Chronomancer traits from Robert! Keep in mind, all numbers are a work in progress.
Minor
- Time Splitter – Gain access to continuum split/shift which allows you to revert to an earlier point in time.
- Flow of Time – Gain alacrity when you shatter. (1s)
- Time Marches On – You move 25% faster. The duration of incoming movement-impairing conditions is reduced by 25%. (Cripple. Chilled, Immobilize)
Adept
- Time Catches Up – Activating a shatter gives your illusions Super Speed
- Delayed Reactions – Interrupting a foe slows them. (3s of Slow)
- All’s Well that Ends Well – Wells remove conditions from allies when they end. (1 condition)
Master
- Illusionary Reversion – Gain a clone after you activate a shatter skill.
- Improved Alacrity – Alacrity applied to you lasts longer. (33%)
- Danger Time – Gain additional critical hit chance against slowed enemies. (30%)
Grandmaster
- Lost Time – Every 3rd critical hit will slow your target. (2s of Slow)
- Chronophantasma – Your phantasms respawn the first time they are shattered.
- Seize The Moment – Gain quickness for each illusion you shatter. (1s of Quickness)
I still feel like ANet has lost its original vision of the mesmer. That has not changed at all.
They’re going with the flow, patching up the creaks in the class with minor QoL changes in the hopes that it works. The Chronomancer is just their attempt at shaking up the PvP meta and making room for the mesmer.
And the offhand shield is the most kitten ing evidence of the fact that they neither know nor care what we want.
If anything, the Chronomancer reveal is steering me away from the class I’ve been playing exclusively since launch and that makes me sadder than you can imagine.
Out of curiosity, what were you hoping for? (And so far all of the chrono stuff seems legit for PvE too)
Isnt it obvious? Something to complain about. Anet provides.
As an IT professional I love last minute bugs that pop up out of nowhere! It is seriously the BEST part of the profession! Cause then the clients get all grumpy, and kitteny, and start demanding new date for release, what will it take to fix the bug? Can we release stuff that are not the bug? Well too tell the truth, we can release everything around the bug! It is no problem! You know, we just wont move the bug over. Why didn’t we think of that???
/sarcasm
I give kudo’s to ANET for at least keeping us all informed on the state of the game update. I was SUPER looking forward to this, but I completely understand wanting to release a complete update rather than half kitten it.
These situations are just as bad if not worse for the developers. They DO NOT WANT to miss a release date.

From what I’ve seen, most new players are pretty happy with the NPE, when there’s isn’t a veteran telling them what they can’t do.
So much this.
If veteran players would just let their friends play it and unlock it gradually, they would have no clue otherwise. It really does unlock fluidly, unless you have a friend that keeps saying “oh man, you don’t have traits yet? you can’t click the PvP button yet?? omg you don’t see vistas on the map?? oh wow you can’t enter the WvW menu yet? that’s so lame you totally used to be able to, man they really screwed this up, the game used to be so awesome before, I’m so sorry man, I would understand if you want to quit.”
If you really want them to enjoy the game, tell them to play it, accompany them while they play, and let them discover it on their own. I know plenty of people brand new to GW2 that have gone through the NPE and still thought the level up experience was great simply because they didn’t have some negative person talking about how terrible it is now…
It’s not terrible. It’s different than what we had, but if you are completely new to GW2 it’s enjoyable and properly paced.

I finally broke down and started researching my legendary. I thought I was going to throw up. Is there a way to make a legendary bow for a boy? The longbow poops out flowers while you run and plays birdsong. The shortbow shoots rainbows and has a unicorn on it. Is there more than one style of each legendary?
Please explain any connection between flowers/birdsong/unicorns and gender.
I…..just can’t sit idly by and let this slide. I get that you want a different style legendary. That’s totally cool. But implying that rainbows and unicorns aren’t for guys is just silly. I’m all for Long Bows of the deep deep dark of the underdark. But at the same time, I dig the rainbows and unicorns too. There’s nothing inherently female about rainbows and unicorns. On a personal note, my older sister was always upset that she never got action figures as a child because our mom thought they weren’t appropriate for young girls. Girls can fully appreciate a nice Longbow of World Slaying with fire and brimstone shooting everywhere. Just saying, the world is a big place.
Alright, now that that’s out. We are probably getting more legendary bows with HOT. My guess is that they will probably be pretty different from the aesthetics of what we have now. Hopefully, they will be more of what you are looking for.
If you want a second ice cream cone, you’ll have to pay for it, just like you did for the first one.
