A little spoiler of personal story below:
Where is the armada of ships that attacked Zhaitan? Even one didn’t show up to help the balloons (this still sounds so stupid…) which supposedly had to take important people to Divinity’s Reach of each race!
Don’t excuse it that they patrol Orr or whatever because they are not. They too aren’t damaged and repairing. And no crap about that they cannot be spared for humans because they belong to Orders. Aren’t Orders protectors of Tyria and made a permament alliance themselves? On the other hand, we shouldn’t be surprised if we get Logan as a chief of defensive force.
As far as I know, the Living Story is a side story to the Personal one. It wouldn’t make sense for the players who haven’t completed the story to be missing out. So any mention of the Pact would be avoided.
Living story is not ‘Personal Story’. We don’t even know if this living story is set before, during, or after the defeat of Zhaitan. This is a side-quest at most, or else it won’t be fair for the players who haven’t beaten Zhaitan. (and these events allow for upscaling of low level characters, letting new players participate)
I don’t really understand where the charr got the black citadel from anyway.
I know they started out really tribal and basic, then the humans came in and took over. The charr then turned to war technology and developed fast enough to fight back and have been trying to reclaim their lands in ascalon.
The black citadel looks more early asuran in nature as it is so mechanical and looks like a space ship. Yet the asurans use a more glyphic rock/machine/magic look and come from below the ground.
It just feels like the Charr were bestowed machinery from a third party than something they developed purely on their own.
That’s because most (if not all) hostile charr you encounter in GW1 are flame legion. And those are the magical god worshiping/fearing sort who doesn’t use technology. The Iron Legion (who specialise in war machines) moved in after the Ascolonians fell, resulting in the Black Citadel.
Do you have fast casting turned on for ground targeting?
Cause those disable traps are for ground targeting AoE’s…
Veteran Karka have 2 bars of HP. You most likely got it down to 50% on its first form. You get exp for killing its first bar of HP. But if you did not contribute for the second bar of HP, you get no loot.
I know it’s a terrible system…
If all that character you are using is doing is Tequila (as in do tequila, log out/change character), then you probably got hit by DR. Go do events for a while in another map (maybe Shatterer or something).
If the karma/exp/money from the event contribution is less than normal, then yes you’ve(that character) been hit by DR.
In my long winded post a page or so back I mentioned Aurora’s Remains and the event there. I only brought it up that it had this weird otherworldly homey feeling to it. The event I did solo wasn’t too terribly hard, and it did have a chest at the end. Granted it wasn’t a huge chest it was a Sylvari-looking chest. I looted a few greens and blues from it. Event link is below.
It’s http://wiki.guildwars2.com/wiki/Draw_out_and_destroy_the_Demagogue%27s_spirit
Weird, I just did this event and got no chest after killing the champion, did get loot from the body though
You have to follow the npcs back. Ontop of some mushrooms there will be a chest. but I doubt it would be it. It was either a splendid chest or just ‘chest’ as far as I remember.
Race – Human
Profession – Elementalist
Sex -FemaleArmor Piece – Inquest Mantle
Screenshots 1 & 2- Show the armor zoomed out with an orange tint on the shoulder piece (bad)
Screenshots 3 & 4- Show the original desired color when zoomed in (good)So my problem is specifically for the inquest cloth shoulder piece only. For the trimmings around the shoulder it gives off a deep orange color when zoomed out. It stands out especially when the armor is dyed a dark rich color. The lighter the color of the armor, the less the orange stands out.
My complaint is that when zoomed in, the armor trimming goes back to its desired color but does not have the same color when zoomed out. Doesnt matter what color i dye the trimmings, but it always comes out an orange tinted color. It would be nice if this color issue could be fixed
I also have this issue with Inquest Leggings, there is also a orange tint at the edges.
I walked up to her grave on my asura and she appeared. But then she didn’t on my charr.
I might assume that it’s a race thing as well.
Zhaitan would probably come back eventually. Wasn’t it mentioned that the Elder Dragon was like forces of nature and not like mortals?
Might take several hundred years or so…
3- I farmed the fractals for months to acquire the best stuff ingame, or it was said so. Fractals is not a easy farm, it requires time, patience, and at least a few skills. Now, someone could acquire the same stuff just dodging and crafting wood planks. Ok, it needs one month to buy a ring, but a fractal ring needs a lot of time too. The argument saying ‘you could loot 4 rings a day in fractals’ is a wrong one, because being able to open 4 dailies a day requires a few hundreds of grind hours beforehand… I worked hard to be able to open 3 chests a day, and they still require 4/5h a day at best…
I still have no idea why people rushed so hard to get Ascended rings when they clearly mentioned that there will be other methods to get them introduced later…
Oh is that what that is? I just had someone last week, an engineer I destroyed in 1v1 in WvW, suicide like that, and I could not figure out what he was thinking, but maybe he was trying to trick me? He had barely any life left and starts running away, jumps off a cliff, he splats against the ground and dies while I watch from the cliff edge, I get the kill and then walk away laughing.
You don’t get armour damage if you fall and die. So he just saves himself some coin.
Yeah, you can just get the skill point from below the step on the altar and outside the barrier and just commune away.
Better population detection is all I want – if there are 4-5 people around, great, spawn a champion squating on that skill point. If not, 2-3 veterans and a pitched battle for 1-2 people is better serving the near nonexistant audience the zone is attracting.
Oh the game does that. It’s just that the champ spawns, and the 4-5 don’t kill it and leave to the next area. The problem is that it doesn’t despawn unless someone kills it.
I’m experiencing problems trying to buy things off the BLTP. Even with plenty of money in my inventory and plenty of the item in stock the ‘Buy’ button remains gray and unclick-able. I have tried viewing multiple items on BLTP but I still cannot click the ‘Buy’ option.
Looking at your screenshot, you do not have any money in your inventory. You cannot buy items using money from your bank, you have to have it on your character.
Problem still occurs even if you have money in inventory. Can only be fixed by restarting client.
Proof.
But it doesn’t work like that — one person gets blown off a ladder and ends up un-rezable. So you need everyone else to die and incur repair costs. Not gonna happen.
if that happens its buged (unless thay fall into lava or somthing
but if you fall off a cliff you get moved back to the begaining of the jump if you die your friends can go back to get you
When I died falling into the lava at the volcano, my body got moved to the base of the ramp heading back up.
As far as I am aware, my home instance played no role whatsoever after serving as the back drop for some of my very first story parts. I went back just now to check after going through all the personal story through level 80. The only thing that is different is that there are now a group of quaggan standing inexplicably in the fountain (all of whom give generic responses) and two minor NPC’s that I met along my story line, both of whom give standard generic responses when you talk to them.
BEHOLD, THE TWO HEADED JOSIR.
Yea, the personal instance is very disappointing…
…. Undeads attack everything. The list goes on.
Nothing like seeing a Risen Brute run all the way across a swamp to stomp one single frog.
I seem to notice that events occur more often if there are more people. Which would explain what you are experiencing.
The 1-15 people stay for the Svanir Shaman boss chest. And in Sparkfly, people stay for Tequila.
Yeea the Bloodtide Coast one does have insane amounts of Inquest, and the respawn rate is nothing to sneeze at either.
I would not recommend doing that with less than 2 other people. (Or two with nice AoEs)
Level 80 Female Human Mesmer – No speed boost
And also done it for my bro’s Male human engineer.
Uhhh, you discover all that you can?
