Retal is rarely, rarely ever up 100% in WvW due to chaos of the scene, distance between groups, and sheer numbers unless you’re working with a small group but that hasn’t been what this thread is about. Had a lot of fun in EB last night around midnightish N/A PST. If anyone from DB is reading this that was nuts in Durios last night. You guys stormed through and hit the lord’s room and we reached the tower with our force after you downed the lord. Chaos ensued and after a minute or so it literally turned into a bunch of guys in downed state on both sides attacking each other and creating rallies in the lord’s tower. Rallied people would get attacked by downed people and then get downed again. Looked like a bunch of dudes just getting their suntan on and waving their hands at each other. Somehow we were literally the team with 1 guy left standing.
Also some fun cat n mouse in SMC shortly after that. We were nonstop porting guys back into the keep since you patched the outter gate back up but it was just never enough

Probably be in 1 day. There is no purpose to it now and mantras are incredibly boring so I’m not doing that. Looks like I get to go back to the shatter build I basically started GW2 with. You know a game is being designed well if you can pick out the best build when you first start playing. Yay for class diversity.
Next, please remove banners from warriors, symbols from guardians, stealth from thieves, wells from necros, and attunements from elementalists. I should be able to kill every class using the exact same strategy.

I’m down with this change if they remove towers and keeps from the point system and make it a function of player kills (or at least just count player kills). Sieging towers is the least interesting aspect of WvW and it just got more boring, more one dimensional, and more zergerific. Great.
Anet removes player skill as a requirement to play → skilled players stop playing.

All the other stuff aside. It was at least one of the most fun times I’ve ever had in WvW and potentially the most fun ever. It was totally random and it’d be awesome if we had more situations like that regardless of who walks away in the end. Just the part where our guys are standing on the bridge watching DB’s and TC’s movement for a sign was like the beginning of an epic movie. No, depends on what FA guild you are facing. There are FA guilds that wipe ANY TC guilds 80-90% of the time, and there are also FA guilds that are 50/50 to TC guilds.
There are no guilds that are even 50/50 with [PiNK] that reside on FA. What guild are you in because I’m very interested where your delusions of grandeur come from. Please provide a little more than forum warrior speculation.
I agree Sunspots, Tear was trying to be diplomatic. PiNK has improved though over the last couple of months. Just don’t give up yet and you guys can get there.
Thanks for the praise. It really tore me up inside when your old guild cracked under the pressure of t2 and fled to tier 8 to escape it. You guys came back strong though and are now capable of some pretty even matched fights with TC militia.
As I said earlier, TC seems very angry today. You all should be enjoying this fun match up. I think this video is a fair representation of PiNK and TC’s prowess. Feel free to leave some pointers so we can continue to learn from you.
TC’s meta revolves around being universally friendly and good natured. FA’s seems to revolve around being nearly universally angry and angsty, especially when it comes to TC .

I’m not sure why some TC posters think they are in a position to push FA to tier 3.
That was already tried for 2 months straight without success and now with another strong contender here, you’ve got to watch your other flank.

We’ve already proven that T2 is a good place for us. If you want a week without us, feel free to drop to tier 3 or jump to tier 1.

DB, like KN has come out strong in our first match-up. They are putting the pressure on both TC and FA and have taken a big lead. (they out man us both through the course of the day) with strong coverage in all the maps. ( plus not all of the guilds have transferred to DB yet, so we have not seen their full strength)
Very quickly DB has become the Goliath in T2.
It will take both servers to keep them in check. If not, they will have a quick and easy path to T1. (not to mention you will be stuck with us for another 8 weeks)
We have had our “issues” before TC and FA.

I don’t speak for all of FA, but I think it is safe to say that a majority of the sever will never “work with” TC for a long time. TC needs to man up and play WvWvW the way it should be.

Besides, TC is well liked by plenty of servers and people. Heck it’s widely considered the server with the best community. The only place TC gets any hate is pretty much just in this weekly WvW thread, and it’s mostly by people with odd doses of pent-up anger.
In answer to your question, I think a lot of people on FA are aware that TC’s meta revolves around befriending one of the other two servers and using it as a meat shield and distraction while TC works on PPT. We have no desire to get involved in that with you. If you want PPT – get PPT. We want fights and we don’t need to buddy up with a second server to get them. That actually defeats our goal.

Haha, I think he dipped into the “Theoretical” bourbon on that comment. I think in “theory” TC is the powerhouse, and our showing this weekend has been around 50% of the normal weekend numbers we’ve had over the past few weeks. We have the numbers to be amazing…but they’ve been staying home.
Weak numbers have been a REAL problem for us all weekend. It was hard to get groups of 15 together to make pushes in FABL and DBBL for most of the time. Even when we took junk, FA and DB showed up in force and took it back within minutes.
It’s alright though. I’m glad there’s pressure. I feel like after a high pressure week, TC has traditionally come out of the woodwork, fists swinging. Let’s hope that rings true again!
I’m surprised by all the TC comments about their fairweathers over the last few pages of this thread. It feels like only a couple of days ago that people from your server were painting FA with a fairweather paintbrush and talking about TC’s unwavering commitment – very odd stuff.
Loving this tier with DB. You guys are a lot of fun. It’s nice to have another server in this tier that enjoys some good fights just to fight.

We all know that they only chose DB, because of it’s SEA coverage already in place. They wouldn’t of moved to any other server where they actually had to work to create a well rounded server.

Hate to tell you but……..in t1 and t2 portal bombs are so last year. They wait for some idiots to try it and just crush them ( believe me being from tc i have seen it). So you may want to try something else if your server ever wants to be competitive in wvw.
Eh….this is just categorically untrue. We portal bomb all the time in T2. You just need to be smart since you can’t place them in the middle of the enemy zerg and pray to culling for the win.
Edit to add – TC does not portal bomb very often. I’ve seen one in the last 7 weeks. So that part is true. They do a lot of militia zerging so the coordination doesn’t seem to be there.

Because its a good way to get the forum warriors to dissapear once they realize they might actually have to back their trash talk up. I would think TC would embrace this idea since they are don’t want any trolling in their match up threads. Or maybe that only applies to other servers and not their own……?
This is not why most people GvG. Typically its just about having a good time fighting each other, trying out different setups and seeing what works and doesn’t work, basically learning and becoming better. People that like GvG enjoy that kind of meta gaming, but like dueling it is not everyone’s cup of tea.
Personally not a huge fan of dueling nature of GvG, I prefer impromptu GvG on the battlefield and have had some good fights with a number of guilds on both KN and TC.
I believe Aytrix is responding to why “GvG’s have been requested a lot” on the forums not why people engage in actual GvG (to which I agree with you Niim).
And if that’s the case, I do agree with Aytrix’s answer. If you are going to run to the forums and make posts about wiping XYZ guild, especially when you add insults to your post like has been done in this thread quite often, you shouldn’t be surprised if someone from that guild requests a straight-up match. We may be trolly here and there on FA, I don’t think you can find us posting on the forums insulting other guilds for their actions on the battlefields like what I’ve read for the last few pages.

TC and Kaineng were “allies” in regards to how we viewed each other – respect and sportsmanship. Certainly we weren’t allies on the battlefield – my fond thoughts of TC as a server sure didn’t stop me from smoking them, nor did it keep them from planting a spike in my head at times. Not entirely sure why anyone would blow that out of proportion and make it seem like we’re the U.S. and Britain in WWII. On the battlefield, red is dead, as it’s meant to be.
When you start saying that an ally is no longer useful to you it implies something more than a buddy partnership going on. Not that the entire server felt that way about KN. I mean, if you real life friend moves away, do you say “well, theyre useless to me now?” I am sure most people keep in contact as best they can, and not worry about how useful that friend is to them.

Something happened to WM? Are we sure? Maybe they just split up and are taking a few weeks off? When Kain came through T3 the waves of WM was the reason they wiped the floor with us. If they are altogether gone, I don’t see Kain in T3 for long. That means fights for green in T3, and that’s cool.
In anticipation of DB moving up I’ve gone ahead and done WvW map completion on the characters that I care about because DB’s future with respect to color and caps is uncertain. We all know numbers and coverage is what’s important, but we don’t know where DB stands in T2. It’s been nice being green for several weeks on end. T2 is going to be 24/7 zerg balls, and that’s a bummer because I like to roam now and then.
I haven’t seen anything formal, but WM’s numbers disappeared around a week ago and now their GM is apparently transferring to an EU server. I’d imagine he’s taking his remaining crew with him. CO is definitely leaving and apparently some others are considering their options. If KN can keep its guilds together though I would imagine T3 would be a good place for it’s remaining population.
TC, on the other hand, has eaten up a majority of CD’s SEA guilds. It has the population/coverage of a T1 now. But as someone on this thread said, they just roll around in giant zergs and hope numbers win the day. Racked up 125 to 150 kills in 30 minutes in EB Saturday night once our 20 man (might have been 25 with some randoms) found their zerg on the map without any towers to duck into. I kid you not.

For FA, having been here since mid to late January, I can tell you that the majority of guilds on the server are in it for the fights. We love open field combat and we love going head to head against groups and guilds on over servers. Each individual fight is a contest in itself and that is entirely what we live for. To be completely honest, the biggest punishment for us is to be in a BL and to go against outmanned opponents head to head. And before some of the haters comment, BT is a heavy east coast weighted group so around 11pm ET our numbers typically fall off due to work/school commitments the next day on weekdays.
I keep reading that FA is in it for the fights yet every time I see an FA invader, it’s his backside because him and his zerg are running away from open field combat. Go figure.

Yep and the bulk of the conversation was about DB itself and how their WvW guilds are solidly loyal to the server and there was no point pursuing any courtship … Rather a lot of admiration was expressed about their server loyalty actually.

You guys realise TC doesn’t operate as a collective hive mind, right? Conversely, I won’t say that everyone on FA goes onto other servers’ forums and knowingly takes WvW guides that do not belong to them and links them to their server buddies thinking they’re oh-so-smart and oh-so-sneaky!
I don’t know if TC operates as a collective hive mind, nor do I care, but you do have a 2 page thread with 43 responses dedicated to trying to take NNK from Dragonbrand on your server’s website from back when TC was in T3 that was just recently refreshed with conversation since DB might enter T2 at some point.

Well you guys better be prepared to pay, a lot. A server (I won’t name which) is promising premium dollars for WM, RISE, CO (and maybe others) to head over. I am talking about crazy out of this world money here. But they said no since they didn’t want to leave their Kaineng brothers.

Through process of elimination all signs would point to SoR.
1. Its not BG because the poster talking about the gold gossip eliminated them basically directing us to ‘another server’.
2. I highly doubt JQ would pay more gold for more SEA guilds? They have the most insane SEA in NA by a long shot anyway, I do not think their SEA guilds would want to deal with even more queue times than they already have.
This leaves us with SoR who are coming close to competing with JQ and all they need is more SEA/European. Also they have recently upped their recruitment and managed to get AFS and Tsym so they are probably going all out.
or it could be a European T1 server…
Believe it or not TC posted in RE forum recruiting us. I find it funny or maybe just a troll I dont know.
Wouldn’t surprise me. They would read our server forum and try to recruit every guild that expressed interest in transferring – quoted from guilds that did transfer to FA.
Look what they’ve already done to T4/T2. It’s not about fun and competitive battles. It’s about getting as many people on your server as possible to sit in towers.
