I enjoyed that video! I was rolling with the KnT crew while in TS3 with them, so hearing your communications and seeing your side of the battle was a lot of fun. We were impressed by how much damage you guys seemed to be putting out. Great fights! The BG/TC/FA fights that happened in Bay a little bit later were hilarious.
Hey thanks! Yeah, the fights that followed the initial takedown were great. So many epic battles. After a while we kept trying to pull groups into the water so we could have a water battle.
We got one against Icoa on Friday and we really wanted to have another crack at it. Videos of this epic underwater adventure to come!
Ah yes, the infamous water battle against Icao. If you get video of that up here, I hope include all of us talking. I think we were all laughing the entire time as everyone’s health ticked between 90% and 100%. That’s not a comment about Icao, but about large scale underwater combat.

Lol I’m sorry but I have to say this. As an ex-Darkhaven player (I came to FA because it was my original server from launch, but went to Darkhaven for a few months because my friend wanted me to play on that server) I cant wait to face two specific Blackgate guilds.
[iCoa] Let me tell you their history.Darkhaven was beating NSP. One of the biggest guilds on NSP bandwagons over to Darkhaven, then they merge with other guilds on Darkhaven to make [iCoa] they mass recruit on Darkhaven and then a loss or two, and they bandwagon to Blackgate after recruiting a large amount of the WvW population from Darkhaven. I have no respect for this guild as it is one of the reasons Darkhaven is dead.
[GoF] Yet another ex-Darkhaven guild. They are unorganized zergs of 40+ that went from Darkhaven to CD. They were on CD a few weeks, and bandwagoned to Blackgate after CD lost ONE time. No specific hate for this guild as they seem like a good community, but server hopping to CD and then hopping off to a tier 1 server after 1 loss on CD is a bit…..lame.
These are the only 2 major guilds of Blackgate I know. No disrespect to Blackgate itself, obviously you guys have original guilds and such, but there cant be too much server pride existent, seeing as many of the guilds there came from other servers.

If it were a stalemate na matchup yb would have had there map back by now. Not just garrison for an hour (twice) or hell 5 hours – doesn’t matter.
If it were stalemated, we would be fighting for our tower and keep. you know they took garrison off na prime too right?

A server with only oceanic presence will not do well in T1/T2. Considering the 4 T1 servers all have pretty good oceanic crews.
The big 4 are nothing to joke about.

From what I have heard, Kaineng only has a good oceanic presence mainly because of WM and that alone.
I do not know how it exactly is obviously but it seems that the oceanic presence is what has been the biggest part of it.
Right, well, on reset night we had queues on all 4 maps and that has been common for several weeks.
Please note I’m not saying numbers = skill. But to say that we only win because of WM is a bit ridiculous and unfair to everyone else on the server.
I’d kind of think the opposite. If you had queues on all 4 maps and were held to a stalemate during N/A primetime, then only reason you are winning is WM/overnight.
Again, I don’t know if the statements I’ve seen about that reset stalemate are true.

I think he’s implying that some people say YB and CD held you guys during N/A primetime at reset. I don’t know if that’s true or not. If it is true, Kaineng relies very heavily on its overnight for victory, which means you’ll be in for a rude awakening in T3, would get stomped in T2, and T1 will only be a twinkle in your master’s eye.
This isn’t saying YB and CD are bad at NA, but that their NA coverage is not as large as those in higher tiers and their Oceanic/Asian is very very small. Again, this is all speculation because you guys have swamped all your competitors with population/coverage so far. 29 hours until we find out.

I think it was the part where you said FA reminds you of CD. You are stating unlike FA and CD, Maguuma plays to have fun and build its community. And then you finish with a passive threat that FA is close to suffering the same fate as CD. I said, if you are going to try and explain our goals to us, you might first try to get an understanding of who we are. I just got done reading a long hug fest thread on our community forum and wiping many tears – thanks Dia. I can guarantee our community is tight. Based on what I’ve seen from Maguuma on this thread, I don’t think its FA that needs to be concerned about its players and community. FA’s WvW players share a common goal.

Ehmry Bay, Dark Haven and ESPECIALLY Crystal Desert used to rag on Maguuma all the time because we didn’t play to win. We told them, “you guys are using numbers, which isn’t a bad thing. But you need to play smarter, not harder.” But then they would say “we’ll let the scoreboard to the talking” or “why would we take advice from the server in last place?”, something that I am hearing in this very thread. It’s really unfortunate that you have no idea what you are talking about. That’s ok though. Hmmm yes, that’s definitely true but it’s only shade of the truth. If you are portal bombing an enemy, you know they are right there when you come out regardless of whether you can see them and you come out with AoE blazing. If you are on Voip your mesmer is also relaying relevant info as he/she approaches.
The enemy knows a portal is coming if they see the glowing purple circle or realize there’s a lonely mesmer heading there way but has no idea when you came through or how many.

well i just had the strangest experience when i logged into eb instead of taking me to maguuma start i was on a cliff above speldan for about 1 minute others where logging into same area. we dropped down to take speldan and all npc’s where green so we ran around making friends and spying being completely unattackable and unable to attack. name showed up as unknown to everyone else. probably something with the new guesting feature
I saw something strange the other day myself. I saw an enemy, but it was simply named “Unknown Invader”. They ran away so I was unable to investigate further.
I walked up to the guy trying to work out how he was standing in the zerg not taking any damage. Let’s hope it was random bug, or maybe that Cow was OP.

Why cant WvW have class technicality? it spicies up the game, seriously if you start removing all the little ‘extra’ things besides zerging around and dpsing everything you see WvW is going to get SUPER boring and lame – if anything we need MORE unique skills and little tidbits that players can use.

I use two monitors on my PC. This gives me a great advantage, since I can play the game in fullscreen windowed mode while keeping VoIP, documents, maps and so forth on-screen beside that.
ANet, I can’t help but use my second monitor, because failing to do so will hurt my team. However, it is simply not fair that other teams, and even my own team members, can not do the same.
Please nerf multiple display support in GW2, or give all players a second monitor. Thanks.

Elementalist Swirling Winds – Destroys Projectiles
Mesmer Feedback – Reflects Projectiles
There’s a common theme with both of those descriptions, but only one works on siege. Dev’s either need to let all projectile-based defensive spells work against siege or none. Singling out Swirling Winds as the only one to still work, I have to believe, is an oversight by the developers. They nerfed feedback shortly after release if I remember correctly. Swirling winds should be nerfed too since they both have that little thing in common.
This skill is nothing like portal. Portal is mesmer-based. Projectile defense spans multiple classes.

Why are ‘roamers’ complaining about Zergs? Feed false information, poke doors and go, cut across open fields, keep track of camp flip activity, pick on Yaks and sentries selectively so that you dont reveal movements to us and avoid lingering in combat for long just so you can give yourself some satisfaction that you’re some good PvPer when trying to up top.
If you’re crashing into these ‘Mindless Zergs’ you despise, maybe you should think to yourself if your roaming group has the exact mindless mentality of such ‘Zergs’ you despise.

Oh and BTW, I was watching the stream of one of PROs Eles having Duels with some OG members behind the BL windmill. One of the OG members (Blonde haired Ranger) threw a fit after he lost a duel. It’s all on footage too.
Doesn’t surprise me. You can tell from the posts that anytime OG loses it’s because of a game design error, some bug, or general unfair play from the opposing side. But I feel sorry for them. It’s a tough life when you have to keep coming up with new excuses for your repeating failures.

Hard to see whats happening in this video even at 1080p. I could clearly make outa few pugs and one or two OG members.
BT is far from a roaming guild, your title is more correctly justified as a zerg guild. You portal bombed us today while we where watching you guys fight DB. 30+ people came through that portal so many that I lagged slightly. Hardly considered a roaming guild.

Im sorry, but this statement is just SO wrong. Having massive amounts of players is a crutch, its a huge handicap, be it players who know what they are doing and even some who dont. It doesnt kittening matter if theres so many people culling becomes an issue.
Being a small group taking on larger numbered groups does make you a better player and more elite. Out numnering people 3-1 by zerging does not make you skilled.

Since there is no number that when reached says that you are a zerg I wont comment on that part, However 15-20 man roaming party is most defiantly not the norm. I will say that being a zerg has less to do with the numbers and much more to do how they approach a confrontation.

Zerging = people who use numbers rather then strategy to defeat the enemy, therefore requiring no skill.
It’s amazing that every video people have of “beating” OG they always outnumber us, strange how that happens.

I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again. FA loves Maguuma. Everybody on maguuma is great people with some talented players, aside from all the forum warriors.
If you want to showcase that skill you should show it against enemies who outnumber you and not vice versa.
