CD always starts out strong, and then people get bored or something and our numbers diminish without ever coming back.

There is a good chance you were fighting alts out there. When CD start losing some people bail and don’t queue others queue on alts for a new experience while getting pwned.

yeah I’ve been saying for a while CD does not have the economy to be tier 2.

We see ET drop Golems like they are candy, JQ did the same thing. I spent 4g Friday night upgrading things in EB in only 2 hours of play time. Asked if anybody wanted to chip in and got 2 people mail me 10 sv and that was it.

Same with siege weapons, hit up a tower with no defenders and doing fine, let 5 people get in and there is already 5 arrow carts on you that were just sitting in the tower unused in good spots that can’t be killed, CD is lucky to have 3 arrow carts in a tower and they are usually in a spot that is hitable by staff aoes.

I’ve been playing WoW this last week.

At least if I die in that game I can see my opponent before I’m dead.

Internet has been acting up all weekend and won’t even let me log onto Guildwars2

I’ve gotten on a couple times but never very long.

Called them today and they gave me the whole “unplug your router and wait 10 secs” like I haven’t already done that you morons.

Fortify walls is an amazing upgrade.

With the Catapult on door mechanics it’s tough to go through the door and a lot of servers are starting to slow siege towers like they do keeps. ET had 3 catapults and 2 trebs on Anz last night and with fortified walls it took them a long time to get the wall down.

If our server were more co-ordinated they would have never taken Anz because the mortars from overlook protect the door.

So that we stop dying to the invisible man.

I’m sure you will drop to a lower bracket for next week.

Whoever owns SM gets double teamed.

lol I love getting IoJ bads less than 5, they have overwhelming confidence when behind 3 ballistas and 2 arrow carts but when you get a few of them without siege their noobiness shows.

also, red has easier access to SM because take longer for green or blue to respond to situation at north SM

Also greens keep is the fastest to leave in EB.

The reinforced walls repairs all walls and the gates to 100%.

Happened for us in Stonemist, I was saying in team it would happen but was actually trolling just hoping it would make people stop taking our supply from keep and then it repaired everything.

If you were on CD you would have it, we just rotated through all 3 colours last 3 match-ups.

we need rich people to transfer to CD, we almost never have enough siege up, and I ran around EB and we had almost no upgrades going.(spent 4g on upgrades over the course of the night now I be broke while our “alliances” let the 1man guilds upgrade their kitten)

This is how we lose things so with some backing we could hold things longer.

Because Crystal Desert is that much better than Dragonbrand.

Dragonbrand got demoted because beating CD by 10k points isn’t going to put you above them in the rankings when they were ahead of you by so much more before the week.

All of the people saying CD has no organization keep saying they were in CD borderlands.

We have way to many Bots/Pvers to have any numbers to have organization in CD borderlands so I don’t know why you guys keep judging us based on that.

If we manage to hold Woodhaven with our numbers we are doing a good job.

During the day events I considered IoJ the worst server we faced in terms of strategy and tactics.

I frequently tried to fight 5v10s vs JQ.

Then found out it was really 5v30, 20 players had just not loaded in yet.

I am so very confused.

I am kind of hoping DB and CD both move down to tier 3 just like SOS and IoJ did last week.

DB will be a very good match-up for us even if I do hate them with a passion, without JQ there it would be a good fight.

Sorry but I stopped at giving 10 points for stomping, bad enough I see 6-7 people in a zerg stop to gank the one guy left behind so the rest get away we don’t need morep eople doing it.

I got in a lot of 1v1s against JQ with orbs and they could some use some work on their individual skills. but they have the population they don’t have to fight 1v1 if they don’t want to

I will definitely be back for the weekend, love the Weekends in WvW, first week I only got like 6 hours sleep all weekend. but then Monday morning my server nightcapped everything and I was doing it with them but after that I realized just how dull that was fighting doors so logged earlier the rest of the week before I was fighting doors.

This week I usually logged on for a couple hours to help defend our last towers/keeps and then went to bed once JQ cleaned everything up.

I haven’t gained a single level in Panda but my battle pets kick some serious kitten its like playing pokemon rainbow!

That was probably one of the closest match-ups over the weekend.

At least Dragonbrand lost that bugged orb, was hilarious looking at map to see a red orb in a green keep for so long.

Don’t know if its been said yet but if you are defending a keep at lvl 1 with the guild buffs it will buff you to like 2500 in each stat.

It’s probably because they see the 8 of you, but assume there is 30-40 they just haven’t loaded the rest yet.

Pretty much why I haven’t been playing last 2 days, was tired of dying to invisible people and one night after raging because of it my friends convinced me to play panda with them.

Can always tell when someone replies without reading the thread.

Hate to break this to you, but from my experience in WvW this week, Crystal Desert is either incapable of strategic thinking or they are actively working to help JQ win. The nobler part of me wants to believe the former. I did notice the same guild tags on both JQ and CD a few times.

I only played on two of the borderlands and in both I noticed a lack of animosity between JQ and CD, so maybe it was different in the other border/Eternal. There was one moment where JQ was attacking the Bay keep for almost 30 minutes and they owned Garrison(in CD home turf) and CD didn’t take Garrison. If they made an attempt it was obviously a pitiful one.

What’s sad is that it is not a sever wide thing, really all it takes is for one guy to transfer servers spend a 100g on commander icon and then lead the troops to ruin all while conversing with his guild on vent. I certainly don’t believe that entire servers align together, but the way WvW is setup it only takes a few to ruin the day.

Again maybe CD just lacked strategic thinking and I am reading too much into that. Entirely possible that there were same shenanigans on DB as well.

Unless the bots re-write their program to attack the Garrison instead of centaurs we don’t have many numbers in our own borderlands.

If you are talking the night I was on we had the Garrison outer wall down and we tried to storm it 3 times with 3 rams on inner door, we would get the door down get in lord room and then die to the invisible JQ getting back because of culling issues, we at our peak probably had 30 people they brought 30 back every time I know because I was watching the water gate the 3rd time to call inc and even dragged 10 of them away to chase me instead of defend but they still wiped us put door back up and left.

We finally got the Garrison cause I tossed down 3 superior rams and we got the lord before they got back. Only to have them take it back anyway an hour later with 2 Omega siege golems.

So we made MANY attempts you can ask Bertucci( think thats his name) cause he was the one taking the leader role at the time. With the bots or pvers it is very tough to do much in our own borderlands though.

Still remember the night in EB where JQ owned SMC, and CD was pushing on their main keep, took 2 south towers and Golanta and were holding them off while we ignored Dragonbrand and let them push on SMC.

After Dragonbrand got SMC rather than push the north JQ towers they immediately went after durios forcing us to send some people to defend losing our positioning on south JQ and then not 1 hour later JQ retakes SMC.

I feel CD’s largest weakness is actually our economy.

We do not place enough siege, and then the siege that is placed most of it is very badly positioned.

This will get better in time and CD will get better in time as well. We seem to be a PUB server where there are not a lot of large orgnanized guilds on(at least when I have been on) and non guild backed Commanders takeover. Which leads to 2-3 different viewpoints being argued in Teamchat. Once the people giving orders start to prove themselves and get their name recognized CD will become a much better server.

I honestly feel we got this high based on individual player skill, I regularly fight outnumbered with CD players not even in my group against other servers even guild groups and we will demolish them, as well as CD players will fight that outnumbered fight for the most part and not retreat.

TL;DR: CD has room for A LOT of improvement which will just make us a better server in the long run.

Dragonbrand has been playing for 2nd place since day 1, sandwhiching us whenever possible.

At first I thought it was strategy because we nightcapped our win last time and they were just getting us in last before Monday, but then after seeing the population JQ had at night last night I came to realize DB is just playing for 2nd which is another legit strategy.

Our server hates Dragonbrand more than Jade Quarry tenfold because of this weekend even though JQ is the one kittening on us

When were defending our last keep in EB last night and they were trebbing down the outer door and wall. Did a ton of suicide runs to take out the trebs but they controlled the entire map so were able to put more up easily.

Keep supply diminishes VERY fast and I look around and someone had built 8-10 arrow carts IN THE COURTYARD when we only had like 15-20 people defending anyway.

Needless to say the door drops walls drop they kill all the arrow carts and we have no siege for our inner doors which fall faster than the outer.

Now I’d like to believe that it was someone from the other server’s account spamming arrow carts just to take the keep more easily. That’s probably not the case though it’s just that we still have people THAT STUPID playing this game.

Hopefully time will help as more people become aware, but there will always be those stupid people you just have to work around them.

Back on topic.

Crystal Desert players how is it that last week when we were dominating without much challenge I sit in an hour queue every night for whatever I queued.

And this week when its a challenge I get insta queue for 2/3 borderlands almost all day and later at night I get insta queue for EB and CD borderlands as well.

Last night I had outmanned in EB, last week there was never a time 24/7 that EB didn’t have a queue.

I do not, WHAT can you do with an arrow cart?!

you could just not wear gear like a few kittens on my server.

People like to win.

We had more queues on our server when we owned the whole map last week than this week when we still have a fighting chance.

It’s embarrassing to be honest, our queues have never been long just steady throughout the day and night. but now even in primetime we had borderlands without queues simply because we are not dominating this week.

love the outmanned buff, farm them at my spawn and get lots of exp.

The reason they are hitting further from their original range is the elevation. And planting trebs to garrison to harass Bay Keep is a standard strategy.

aye standard, the worst part is you have to take down the inner door to get to those trebs because of that odd door west side of keep. SO its almost as if it was intended to be used this way.

Never understood how people get “camped” in any mmo.

People are crying in team chat they are being camped all the time 2 mins after I left the spawn right by all the enemies. 2-3 will chase but they will give up quickly to return to the spawn when they don’t get you down fast.

Reminds me of this one time in WoW when we were waiting for a priest in BWL cause she kept dying on the way there. after 45 mins of waiting shes all giddy in vent and yells “haha I mced that guy into the lava”. I was sokitten off we had been waiting almost an hour there and she says that, I mean run into the instacne and stop wasting our time you female dog.

That’s what people remind me of when they say they are being camped, they aren’t being camped they just leave and try and fight the people out front rather than taking a diff exit and going around them.

Omega Siege Golem has 1500 Range.

Golems can also be built away from the door, whereas rams can be killed before they are even built if the enemy focus fires them as the blueprint is dropped(I do this solo all the time).

Golems are a waste of time and resources currently. They need to be redone/fixed. A single ram > Golem. Golems die really fast, do extremely low damage to the gates, and apparently can’t even be repaired. And your zerg can take 2 keeps before the golem even reaches the 1st of them. Don’t even mention the cost.

Omega Golems have 1500 range.

I recognize the commander names and criticize them based on their past eprformances.

We have someone who bought the commander book who has never done any leading and has always been in the worst places during WvWvW. Does not talk in any chat, yet people will now follow this person all around the map getting nothing done because of the commander.

We were getting our butts kicked trying to defend 1 of our last towers, look on the map and the commander is over in the jumping puzzle, doesn’t even turn off the commander tag to do it.

I think your own Borderlands is the toughest to defend because thats where all the bots/afks/puzzle noobs flock too.
