To be honest, I don’t think the masteries are such a bad OMGAH GRIND SUX. I’m having fun doing all the events, seeing the maps (Verdant Brink and Auric atm) and playing the first missions with all my characters.

Just by doing stuff, like in the Old World, I’m at level 6 Mastery. No biggie. I’m not running around specifically getting mastery exp, it feels just like levelling.

Due to University stuff I wasn’t very able to test my Warrior on the BWE3. How will our beloved class work in HoT?

I understand the Berserker is meant for a condition warrior, but is it useful in any build for a power build? I actually have 2 warriors at 80, one meant for Power build and another for Condi build.

First of all, sorry to create one more thread. I’ve been reading the patch notes and can’t really understand most of it, thus my question here.

I really had fun levelling my engineer a year ago, using bombs and grenades, but then couldn’t effectively play with the explosions I enjoyed at lvl 80 so I dropped the engie for a while. Picked it up for sPvP with the turret build because it was fun as hell. Until that got nerfed.

Are the bombs/grenades viable as a PvE build now? What build should I use to blast everything into the mists?

It’s amazing how people prefer actually prefer axe over greatsword. People just have some sort of hipster-appeal with the meta. If it’s popular and good, then I don’t want to use it, regardless of actual gameplay or mechanics.

You misunderstand. I have no quarrel with greatsword, everyone is free to use whatever they wish. I just like axes better than swords, and one handed weapons over two handed weapons.

So, now what is the viable build for PvE? Greatsword, again?

What would be the best gear for silverwastes event farm, in a small group?

Also, is dual axe still viable? I’ve been using it for ages, but the effectiveness seems to have dropped a bit, could just be an impression though.

Dunno where you’re from but most of the computer specialized shops have a service where they build your pc for a fee. Normally, this is much cheaper than buying a pre-built anyway.

I main a Charr Warrior, his set is full savage with vigil legs, so I’m not posting him because it’s such a small twist.

A Crossbowmen style class. These guys would wear medium to heavy armor and fight with shields at close-range. So we could have a ranged-type, high DPS on a single target with heavy armor.

That’s actually just using a tonic transformation (Kodan use the Norn model, so they can /dance, but parts of their armor does some really weird stuff when they do). They aren’t anything close to finished or playable.

I agree, the names sounded better at first, so I had my two charr remade.

Retaining the same spirit as before, re-named my engineer to Groknar Steelshell, I really liked the Steelshell bit. My Necromancer was also renamed to Reesa Cursefang, of the Curse Warband of the Ash Legion.

I got a charr thief called Mereen Brightclaw, for her white fur with black spots as well as the bright flash of her steel – very likely to be the first and last thing you’ll see of her xD

I just bought another character slot and made another charr. What else?

So, my characters to level up after the Asuran Warrior will be a male Charr Engineer and female Charr Necromancer.

Gnash Steelshell of the Shell Warband, Iron Legion – Charr engineer specialized in rifle and grenade warfare.

Lyan Soulbringer of the Soul Warband, Ash Legion – I’m not really sure what she’ll be specializing yet, will build up her character in the near future.

Knichtus Brocthan – Don’t really picture a charr with this name so I’m not a big fan. 4/10. And I cringed a bit at the “norn girlfriend” part too.

Rinnae Pathbolt – I think this is your best one so I’ll give it a 7 ;-)

Ceremonial plated outfit is the armor shown in Cursed shore loading screen…

Um, no it isn’t. It’s Grasping Dead Heavy Armor set from Arah and the Avenger’s Heavy Armor set which is a human cultural set. The third character in that loading screen isn’t visible enough to identify; but it doesn’t look anything like the Ceremonial Plated Outfit.

You sure? Seemed like it when I looked upon the loading screen. I’m probably wrong anyway.

Ceremonial plated outfit is the armor shown in Cursed shore loading screen…

On my first time seeing it I interpreted the different beams as being different «pale trees», one being under attack.

Then the take on the desert, I think Mordremoth, on his quest for magic, attacked Kralkatorrik. Too bad he didn’t pick Primordus, he’d burn Mordry to a crisp.

I’m called “Kitty” and “Garfield” in my guild, in a funny way. I jump in with two axes and wreck chaos amongst the enemies :p

At the time of GW2, a Charr is, lorewise, armed with melee weapons as well as ranged weapons such as rifles, I think. In this case, a shot through the head of a Norn works just as well as a knife to their belly, difference being it’s much easier to shoot him in the head.

I actually think that JPs as a Charr are fairly easier than other races. When you get used to the jump timing… I normally use the front paws as a hint. When they’re out of a platform, I jump. Usually works.

I’ve been talking with the support team about this, experimenting different things to try and see if we can get this fixed.

I’d like to see my warband surviving member somehow. She suddenly disappeared. Forever.

Hello everyone.

I made this thread to check if there is any active group, or any interest in creating one, that runs story mode dungeons without skipping cutscenes? I’ve been playing for a year and a half but haven’t even completed all the dungeons’ story. Everytime I join a group I’m forced to skip cutscenes, that makes me not even wanting to run in the first place.

I want to learn the story with my character, immerse myself in it, not through youtube videos.

Are you Graymane or Battleborn?

For some of us, this has been happening for the last two weeks.

This problem makes completing events almost impossible even when I do login. I get dc’d mid-event only to relog in a different megaserver without the event I was completing.

This problem started last week, I couldn’t play for long period of times before getting this error. Now I can’t even login.

Does anyone know any way to fix this? I’ve ran the diagnostic too but can’t tell if anything’s wrong. The connection didn’t seem bad (no large error percentages) so I’m grasping at straws here.

Same here. It’s unplayable, can’t even complete an event before getting disconnected.

It’s happening to me too. Constantly. It’s kittening me off I can’t play properly and there’s no response from ANet.
